- michael (8/5): - Bed was good Hot tub kept shutting off after 2 min
- Beverly (10/5): -
- Sierra (1/5): -
- Robert (10/5): It was great - The hot tub was awesome. The Tv was great. The breakfast was very good. They gave me the wrong room
- Sally (10/5): Overall I had a good stay staying one night. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. - The location near the Family Restaurant and Interstate. The interior should be updated.
- Anjanette (10/5): - We Absolutely Loved coming here the first time so we
Decided to come back and spend some time in Sparta in our favorite hotel!! Everything!!
- Kaylee (5/5): Not that cleanliness place. Cob webs, stains on furniture & dust - Right in town, convenient. They allowed me to check in early thankfully. Dirty. Cob webs, dust , only 1 tissue box & 1 roll of toilet paper (not enough for 2 people staying). The sink wouldn’t drain at all! Filling up from just washing hands & wouldn’t drain until the following day.
Normally our stay is nice, but this time it was a lot different. Missing light bulbs in lamps.
No vending machines:(
- Andrea (5/5): -
- Angel (6/5): -
- J (1/5): -
- Donna (5/5): - Breakfast was good. But the room was alittle crowded with the desk & chair so close to the bed
- Mark (5/5): We will be back - Beds comfy. When it came to check, no one at the front desk, we even rang a bell. We called back after we left to make sure they found the keys I know it is under new ownership, needs upgrades
- Robert (9/5): My husband and I went there for an overnight getaway. The bed was comfortable., the hot tub was nice, the TV was big eno - The room was very large. The layout was perfect. The hot tub was huge.. The bathtub had a lot of hair in it so we did not use it
- Jamie (8/5): -
- Amy (7/5): Convenient to the Elroy-Sparta trail and restaurant. We would stay there again. - Breakfast was nice - had quite a few options. I also liked that it was served until 10:00 when we were there. The shower drain did not work and was gross when my husband tried to get the water to drain - a lot of ick came up (not sewage tho).
- Judith (9/5): Convenient and access to the pool - The friendliness, warm pool, variety of continental breakfast. No elevator when carry luggage
- david (7/5): -
- Gerrie (5/5): -
- Claudia (7/5): It met our needs, but thought the price was high. Will probably consider other options if we need to - For a 2 day stay the option of a suite was nice. The location close to hospital and restaurant was good. Everything was very clean - the room, the bathroom, and lobby were all well cleaned. Breakfast was not uo to par with other comparable branded properties. The property needs to be updated. Our room needed some repairs. The bathtub while clean, needed to be replaced or replaced. Water pressure was low and it took a long time for water to get hot.
- katie (10/5): I was truly impressed with the welcoming staff and cleanliness of the property. We had a relaxing beautiful stay - Beautiful, very clean with welcoming caring staff No complaints
- Keyla (8/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Robert (9/5): -
- Mary (9/5): It was a great stay and the breakfast was wonderful. All the food was very tasty! - The room was clean and comfortable. The stairs were a bit dirty
- Ken (5/5): -
- Anjanette (10/5): Absolutely my favorite hotel in the area and a great value! - The staff went above and beyond when we thought we had made it to breakfast and CEE brought back out breakfast for us and no other hotel would ever do that! Thank you CEE The room was amazing and clean with a comfortable bed and the swimming pool and hot tub were great amenities along with free breakfast. The whole place was so clean and inviting and the perfect spot for us to stay close to my job interview the next day.
- Joe A (8/5): -
- Debra (7/5): -
- Valerie (9/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): - Breakfast was good, coffee is terrible though. There is a very good coffee place downtown Sparta however, 1 mile away. Location is perfect if biking the trails, the beginning at the old train station is very close. We loved the jacuzzi in our room after the 40 hour trail ride! Need much better coffee at breakfast
- Thelma (7/5): -
- Timothy (6/5): Comfortable stay but building and exterior in dire need of a refresh. - Bed was comfortable. Room was huge. Pool area open til midnight. It needed a lot of maintenance and the exterior was a weed choked eyesore. Carpeting had stains everywhere, walls banged up. Some lights in room and bathroom didn’t work. Tv had about 5 stations that came in.
- Jill (5/5): Disappointed - Close to the freeway. Beds were comfortable. Room appeared clean, but little odd things like sloppy painting jobs, missing drain plugs. Breakfast area was nice and clean and modern. Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage and potatoes both days. Also a waffle maker which is always delicious. Hallway was gross. Looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in days and not shampooed in a long time. It was also very narrow and dark which I hate. The back stairway was even worse. It was very dark. Not even sure if there was any lightning to be honest. Used it once. Makes it feel very cheap. Our room rate was $150/night. For a small town hotel in October I expected something much nicer for the price.
- Suzanne (7/5): -
- TOM (6/5): - Just ok, overall.
- Oleksandr (10/5): -
- Cynthia (6/5): - This hotel has gone down hill over the last few years. The weeds around the property were never taken care of this year. Not a nice way to walk into the hotel.
- Garry (8/5): -
- Laura (9/5): Convient to interstate, comfortable ed, nice pool and hot tub and bountiful breakfast. - beakfast was very good with a variety of choice
- Bill (10/5): -
- Diane (6/5): - Friendly staff. Place is starting to get run down. Many things need fixing or replacing.
- Erin (2/5): - I ended up leaving the same night as both the beds in my room were dirty. The sheets were stained with blood, what looked like yellow pee stains, and there was little black hairs in both beds. After going down to the front desk to inform of this issue he asked what time I had checked in and why didn’t I notice it then. I was there for a wedding and left right away for the wedding after checking in. There were no available rooms so I ended up leaving to drive 2 hours back home. I have requested a refund.
- Suzette (8/5): Very good. - Good location and clean.
- William (7/5): - Great breakfast shower wasn't the cleanest
- Tami (5/5): It was ok - We left before breakfast.
I like the sink outside the bathroom. It's easier for 2 people getting ready.
It was quiet. Needs updating
Needs a deep clean
Too expensive for this hotel, but it was Cranberry Fest
- Gordon (8/5): - Okay place to stay
- lynnea (10/5): - Clean rooms and quiet. The staff was friendly and conveniently off the high way.
- Lewandowski (10/5): - Friendly, courteous staff. We were able to check in early and be on the first floor. Facilities clean and comfortable. An issue with the air conditioner fan did not turn off. But staff able to accommodate.
- Youa (8/5): - Wonderful staff, nice clean room. Air conditioning was nice and cool. Good parking spaces, next to a dining restaurant and a gas station. Breakfast wasn't too bad. The only reason I rate this 4 stars was because my room sink drainage was slow, almost like it was clogged.
- BRIAN (8/5): - The keyed access doors did not lock, they barely shut. The stairs hadn’t been vacuumed in months….
- keith (8/5): -
- Bruce (6/5): - The staff was super nice. Pool and hot tub were nice. ,Breakfast was good. There were very many things that needed maintence. The list would be too long to list here.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Sherry (8/5): - Great location. The room and bath were small, but comfortable.
- Leah (4/5): - Room online had wrong description. When arrived they gave us a smaller room than paid for. No place to put your bikes if you’re biking on the Sparta trail.
- Christine (6/5): Based on where it was located not many places to stay. Needs to modernise or lower your prices - Nice staff Old and tired hotel. Overpriced for the room. Had two double beds in a very small room. Second bed was pushed against AC and could not even walk around. Needs a good uplift
- Whitt (10/5): -
- Gregory (8/5): - Great location for using the area bike rides!
- Dean (10/5): - Great
- Nicolas (7/5): - Great value The room had a very strong smell. It had presumably been treated for something.
- MARY (10/5): - Location just off of I-90 and close to the Elroy-Sparta State Trail.
- Wendy (5/5): - Staff were really helpful Building needs an upgrade
- Anatolii (10/5): -
- Kari and Bari (8/5): -
- Faulhaber (8/5): -
- TOM (10/5): great - It was better than a lot of chains, more choices we could only stay one night
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price. - The room had an odd smell, air conditioner wouldn’t stay on consistently even with the option for fan always. WAY too overpriced for the amenities and room. Multiple bugs were killed by us and the walls were scuffed up, metal rods laid on our bathroom floor. Beds uncomfortable. The one pro is it was very quiet.
- Judy (7/5): It was good. - The location was excellent for us. It was comfortable our room was clean. The hallway needed some cleaning.
- Ann (6/5): - Double queen room was very cramped. Property needs some renovations.
- rick (6/5): - Bed was comfortable but the bathroom was tiny and everything seemed like it should be updated
- Birch (7/5): - Rooms are dated.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Donna (8/5): Driving through - Very friendly and helpful man at desk as well as breakfast. Nice breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes in addition to waffles.
This is the second time we have stayed here on our way through. Would stay again.
- Kathleen (8/5): - The restaurant across the parking lot was excellent. Nice pool area. Clean room.
- MARISSA (8/5): - The rooms were VERY small, and the building definitely needed some updating (tiles falling down, paint peeling, ect). The pool/hot tub are open late though which was very nice after a long day, and the restaurant right next door was very good.
- PATRIA (10/5): - The staff was amazing. So warm and welcoming. The service provided was absolutely fantastic, above and beyond.
- Thomas (10/5): - The hotel clerk was pleasant, competent and always available
- Karen (7/5): Good place for short stay while biking - It was close to the Sparta bike trail and near a gas station for snacks.
The breakfast had good options. There was very little room between the end of the bed and desk and TV dresser. We could barely pull out the desk chair.
- Stechcon (10/5): -
- S4729JNjosephw (10/5): Fun time - We had our family reunion and stayed at the motel. The staff and motel were outstanding. They went above and beyond for us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay. - Nice overnight stay while traveling through the area.
- Joel (8/5): -
- Claire (7/5): -
- Mark (10/5): -
- Damon (6/5): - Solid place to stay.
- Duane (10/5): Duane zigan - Great location. Awesome help
- Shawn (10/5): -
- Kate (5/5): -
- Catherine (6/5): Nice location - When we checked in and discovered there was no elevator the front desk man informed me I should have called that morning to request 1st floor room. I guess I didn’t see that in the fine print
- Daniela (9/5): - Clean, excellent staff. Kevin was awesome! NA
- Dawn (8/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Good - The hotel is a bit dated but met our needs, hot breakfast was ok, the usual scrambled eggs sausage and waffles and two out of three day paper thin bacon.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough - We stayed from Sunday to Saturday in June 2025. The room was clean but they only came to clean the room once while we were there. The bathtub drained so slowly that it left a mess/ring in the tip and it was not fixed until Friday, one day before we left.
They had a nice indoor pool and hot tub.
Besides the tub, it was a good stay.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Jennette (6/5): Rough night's sleep - The room was clean and staff was friendly. However the bed was hard and there was a knocking noise that kept us up a lot at night. When we looked in the hallway, there was no one there.
- Andres (6/5): - Not a bad place, but breakfast was very bad
