Guest Reviews
- Vincent (2/5): - First of all when you Book a reservation through this site you should know if it's open or closed. The Travelers Inn is closed in Sherman Texas/
- Jorge (2/5): - First, you need to pay my money back because I NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL.
Is so nasty and i waiting to much for the guy attend in the desk!!!
Terrible place!!! Sent some inspector to check that hotel.
And again please put my money back in my card. Or sent me a phone number to contact you guys.
- John (4/5): - I don't normally leave reviews at all but in this case... Yes, I'm a budget traveler but I do expect certain minimums. In this case the room heater didn't work (and it was about 60 degrees in there so that made for a chilly night) and there was no hot water. A lukewarm shower is no fun. At least the WiFi was good and I got my work done.
- Donna (2/5): - I stayed one night, the toilet had a bad leak...The only channels on the television to watch was maybe 4 channels all locals, the only thing to watch was roaches climbing everywhere...The neighbors next door spent the night arguing...I do not recommend this place to anyone not even to my worst enemy...I will never go back there...Oh and one more thing our room was supposed to be double queen size beds which the reality turned out to be double full size beds...It was such a disappointment and for $70.00 the place was a total nightmare...
- John (2/5): - Did not stay. I was told they dad not honor online reservations and did not have any rooms.
- Sandra (2/5): - There were animals in the room and one towel for 2 people
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room itself was clean the batnroom was dirty. The first room they tried to put me in had roaches. They put me in a different room with no roaches
- Amberr (2/5): - Absolutely Disgusting! Roaches an nicotine stains on the walls along with dirt and food etc just gross. Sheets still had other peoples hair on them. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
- Lorenzo (10/5): Hotel ok - Not what I expected, it's ok for an overnight stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The Hotel when I arrived was very disgusting. The lack of cleanliness, flies, gnats and dead flies and gnats everywhere in the lobby. Open lobby door very unsafe for the staff and guests that are arriving at late hours of the night.
When approaching the first room roaches fell from the ceiling once the door opened. Roaches were every where on the walls, bed, ceiling as if they never had pest control. There was old water everywhere on the carpet floor. The room smelled like mold and somebody peed on the floor. The bathroom seemed like it had not been touched in weeks. Just was a filthy room uncomfortable too live in.
Once views the room as previously stated. Went to the front desk, employee was nice and understandable about the situation. Offered a second room and the room was decent however it was a reptile in the room. After moving furniture and the reptile ran across the room underneath the bed.
I highly do not recommend this place for anybody to live in no matter your situations. the manager is not understanding and do not care for the refund process when the place is not cleaned and is livable by any means.
- Jessie (2/5): - I moved into 3 different rooms before i found one that was working properly. Then the key wouldn't open the door on the third room
- ismael (2/5): - No hot water ,, don't work tv control
- John (2/5): Worst place ever - Drive up to huge pot holes and broken windows on front lobby smelled of mildew was told we ordered regular room he said hee would upgrade us for no charge what a joke the bed was so dusty had holes and stains on sheets and bedding bathroom ceiling was falling in and wall paper was peeling off if i could have went somewhere else i woulf have
- Kevin (8/5): - It was within my price range
- Robert (2/5): - Need exterminator, needs everything. Guy beating on my door at 2:00 AM wanting drugs.
TV had terrible reception. Just a dump. Would not reccomend enemies to stay here.
- Leroy (2/5): - ...
- Debra (2/5): - We travel with our large dog and needed a place to catch a few hours of sleep. Based on reviews, this place sounded like a good bet. IT WASN’T. I was quoted a $10 charge for my dog but the woman at the front desk tried to charge me $75! Got that straightened out and headed to the room. OMG. Definitely the worst place I have EVER stayed. Air conditioner blew hot air and the adjustment knob had been removed. The handle on the bathroom sink faucet was also gone. And the dirt…I’ll let you use your imagination. Bottom line: STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Like maybe sleep in your car. Wish we had.
- Lisa (2/5): Keep looking - This is not the place to stay unless you're absolutely desperate. Even in your desperation, i'd still look for something else.
- Calvin (2/5): - Drug addict/ dealer paradise
- Jerry (2/5): - Roaches everywhere carpet wet toilet doesn't work tv doesn't work good sticks like all get out I got the short end of the stick on this one it should be condemned
- John (4/5): - The parking lot had more holes than payment. Facility is old and showing it. Rooms were acceptable. If you want cheap rate and can accept minimum facilities this place could work for you.
- Willow (2/5): - I made a reservation online through Expedia and when I arrived in the evening, the person at the front desk said they had no rooms, that it didn't matter that I had a reservation. I asked what happened to the reservation and they said the reservation didn't guarantee me anything.
Very disappointed and had to find another hotel room, on the fly.
- Wing Ching (2/5): - It is the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. I was scared of bed bugs or ticks (I was fine after all). Maybe this is what I deserve since it is relatively cheap. I dare not do it again.
- Kathy (2/5): Worst place to stay!! - My room was like a prison. Hard as stone bed. 1 flat pillow. No remote for the tv. No microwave. The bathtub had cracks in it so no shower cause im a big girl & didn't wanna fall through the floor.
- Mark (6/5): - Too close to the freeway!
- Olga (8/5): - The only thing
Bathroom duty
- Corwin (8/5): - Ok
- THOMAS (4/5): - Roaches
- Daniel (6/5): - Road construction made it extremely hard to find. My alternator gave up the ghost and they were supportive of allowing an angel (fellow guest) to help swap it out in the parking lot.
It is a pet friendly hotel.
- Tabitha (2/5): - Had roaches
- Jesse (2/5): - Horrible hotel! Dirty, no hot water, ice machine didn’t work, scary! Just bad!!
- Michael (4/5): - Missing smoke detectors, no hot water, broken light fixture laying on the chair
- Jessica (2/5): - Never going back
- Kendall (2/5): No hot water..still charged? - Got there and they said no hot water so I don't even check in they said I wouldn't be charged so I hope y'all don't charge me either
- robert (2/5): price increased over 50 percent on check in - On check in I was told my king bed room was not available. I was offered a similar room with double beds at a 50 percent increase. I showed the agent my reservation and was told they do not honor the Hotels.com rate. I would need to pay the hotel rate for the different room. The hotel is older and near a construction zone on the freeway. I cannot comment on the room condition as I had to find another hotel at 11pm. This hotel is definitely not recommended and hotels.com needs to eliminate dishonest hotels.
- Duane (2/5): LODGING FROM HELL! - King Non-Smoking Room I reserved was not available. Substituted Double Queen but "non-smoking" turned out to be "smoking". Moved to another room that was acceptable as "Non-smoking only to find that the TV didn't work, no Wifi available, A/C didn't work, no TV remote, tub over-flow drain missing, sheets and mattress stained and to top it off, charged a higher rate per day than reserved rate. Before I left I could smell what I thought was a skunk...found to be someone smoking marijuana outside their romm. Checked out and went to another hotel 10 miles away at midnight. Have traveled for 20 yrs and never stayed in a place with such conditions!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was filthy had roaches coming out..the toilet did not work.
- Erica (8/5): - Free Coffee in lobby
- angela (2/5): - I did not like anything. The people were rude, charged a fee for my service dog, which is illegal. The room was not even cleaned from the previous people that stayed there. No shampoo, conditooner, coffee, toilet paper, or towels!!!!!
I cant believe that this place is even open. Disgusted. I was only able to stay in that room for 5 hours. The smell from the cigarette smoke made me very sick. I was so scared to even walk to my car. A lot of shady stuff goes on there. Not at all satisfied!!
- Michael (4/5): - The price was very reasonable, but the construction on US69 made it virtually impossible to get in and out of. Also, the receptionist spoke very little English and couldn't find our reservation. She finally got help from the actual manager via FaceTime but it still took over a half hour just to check in!
- Rahul (2/5): Horrible place . Don’t ever get a room here . - Drug deals going on outside. Guy threatened me right in front of front desk lady . Then asked me to take him home . He called me names and tried to pick a fight . He was most likely a drug addict . Ac didn’t work in the room . It stunk and deadbolt inside the room was broken , I wish I can give them zero stars . I was scared for my cars safety as well .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is possibly the filthiest establishment I have ever stayed at. The sink drain and shower drain, drained very slowly, so you were standing in nasty water from the unclean tub. The carpet was not vacuumed well. The bathroom floor was caked with dirt and hair. Surprisingly there were no bugs and there was free ice, but no coffee or continental breakfast. The cost was $62 for the night and I would have left a different review if the place had just been clean in spite of the orange walls, cigarette burn holes in the bedspread, and overall uncleanliness. The owners were nice and friendly but it didn't make up for the rest of our experience. Hope this review helps...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good for a short stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Roaches in the room .Manager was rude.
- Ann (6/5): One night stay - Okay stay, bathroom light didn’t work.
- Roger (10/5): Would Stay Again - Great stay, quiet, but no coffee available....but there is a store 1/2 block away...this was my 2nd stay..
- Thomas (2/5): - This place was disgusting.. the room was dirty, it smelled like smoke
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The road all along the front of motel was under construction to the point I could barely get to the motel. It was extremely rundown. The room was dirty. Found a roach in my bathroom. Cleaning people couldn’t speak nor understand English so they went into my room even though I told them not to, that I would go to the desk if I needed towels. Could barely understand the man at front desk when I checked in. Door to my room barely locked. Overall it was absolutely horrible. I will NOT recommend to anyone.
- Richard (6/5): Place to stay - Ot was ok atmosphere was different
- Aiden (10/5): - The Hotel was good . The customer service was alright one of the night bookers had a little attitude but over all it was Good
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was ok you get what you pay for
- Verified traveler (10/5): Family Stay - My family stayed here for like almost two weeks and the service was good office was friendly and never had any payment issues
- Jody (6/5): - Would not recommend it
- Rhonda (2/5): - Both the rooms I stayed in were infested with cockroaches they were so bad they were on the ceiling you could see cockroach feces everywhere I woke up with one crawling on me so it was not a pleasant stay at all at the traveler inn I will never be back in the office would not return my money or help me out at all
- Dan (8/5): Red River valley - It was a good place to spend a night easy to find.. safe..
- Stacie (8/5): - Amazing staff very helpful. Great rooms with good microwave fridge combo TV was nice an easy to use the host day was amazing thank you
- xdandeman (10/5): - Very friendly place in excellent location, great room
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location was easy to get to and close to where I needed to be.
The beds had a plastic protector between the matress and the sheet, which was not a fitted sheet. Very annoying.
- Riga (4/5): - Cockroaches, dirty, smelled of smoke, cigarette burn holes in the blanket. Staff was friendly and sheets were clean. Would not stay again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): NASTY GROSS DISGUSTING - This place is disgusting!!!! The beds are aweful with springs poking you in the back. It’s old dirty nasty and over priced for what it is. Someone needs to send health dept their way.
- Sarah (10/5): Basic but good - Basic but clean. Definitely good for the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very nice and helpful front desk personel. Everyone I came into contact with employee Wis was very nice.
- Ebarajas (10/5): - Awesome value for the great check in service and clean room
- Mark (6/5): Great for price - Great hotel for the price. Great location close to centre of Sherman.
- Charles (10/5): Great hotel that has fantastic prices. - Booked into this hotel after fleeing another hotel called the Sherman Inn. This hotel was fantastic after the other place. Clean, quiet and rooms were in great shape. They let us check in 4 hours early after leaving the other place which one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever been in my life. If all hotels were like the Travelers Inn, there would be no complaints from guests.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Walked in manager was completley rude. Got the key to the room and there were roaches everywhere the bed the table the dresser the walls and the bathroom. Went back to desk only to get cussed out and gave another key the next key the room was exactly the same finally since no refund is provided he found a room with less roaches but bedbugs me and my wife are having to sleep in our clothes and are ate up and itchy terrible experience.
- Cindy (10/5): - Was a nice stay
- Virginia (6/5): - I only wanted a hot bath and a decent bed. I got both of those things.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who wants more.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was inexpensive but in very poor repair! Won’t stay here again. The surroundings made us feel nervous!
- Kelvin (6/5): F*** you pay me - Week after week i would stay however the lady. More concerned about the number of beds that I'm staying in instead of the business that I've been bringing them consistently one bed is less than two beds and she couldn't adjust the price for me staying there no accommodations at all
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice quiet location. Clean room. Good cable friendly staff
- Robert (6/5): - Had problems with the wi-fi,the ice machine didn't work, but for the price it was o.k
- Verified traveler (2/5): Is low price worth it? - AC didn’t work properly...sweat the whole night. Mattress not padded well. Felt like I was sleeping on springs with a plastic picnic table cloth covering them. No way to chain door shut as the piece that would have chained door to door frame was broken off. Nice guys at front desk, but damage, patched up ceiling above shower and other items mentioned didn’t make it comfortable. Run down feel to the place.
- Connor (8/5): - A decent place to stay at an exceptional price for a quick one night business trip. Very basic and straightforward place. Could do a little better on keeping things looking clean but for the price paid it’s not anything I was too surprised about.
- Darles (6/5): - last minute reservation via Hotels.com, agent told me desired 2 star I requested based on previous stay was unavailable, suggested Travelers Inn as 2+ ungrade. This hotel extremely dated & run down. Much prefer the 2 star Days Inn.
