- elenapC2307MN (2/5): The worst hotel! - The most disgusting hotel! We travelled by agency so we don’t know how much it costs, but the conditions there are awful. We arrived early in the morning and started to check in. First we were given a room withOUT windows that smells a lot as cigarettes. We asked for another room with window and had to wait 5 hours at the cold reception for available room. At noon we asked if some room has been cleaned and finally checked in. The room smelled awful, the sheets and towels were disgusting, the bathroom and the water smelled awful too. The staff is rude and unwelcoming. After seeing the room we didn’t even think about having a breakfast there we just looked at it and it was disappointing. The bathroom was leaking to the room, because it wasn’t actually separate room, but just two glass pieces in the bedroom making some kind of bathroom. It is also very noisy like the window was opened but it wasn’t. The worst experience ever! Unfortunately hated Istanbul because of this hotel!

- Sabrina (2/5): - This unfortunately has to be our worst hotel experience to date. We were initially booked for 7 days but cancelled after day 1 as it was such a poor experience. First room we were placed in wouldn’t lock and had shared balcony with the room next door, not to mention the sink not working. We were told by what seemed to be the maintenance guy that we’d have to wait until the next day as they were fully booked to move yet the man on reception offered us another room when we went downstairs. The second room had a horrible smell to it (not that the first smelt any better) and to our disbelief someone had used the toilet and left it in such a disgusting state including marks and stains all over. The shower door was broken so when showering we literally had a flooded toilet that flowed into the bedroom as they are so close together. There is also a club downstairs that’s opened until ungodly hours of the night and you will hear it blasting music and men shouting or quite possibly just talking to each other really loud after the club is closed. I also woke up to some insect bites/stings which may have come from the bed or somewhere in the room I’m not really sure. All in all I would really think twice before staying here as the pictures are also really deceptive. The hotel needs a lot of work and improvements done as soon as possible if they are to compete with the surrounding hotels nearby. Such a shame as the location is good in terms of tram and metro.

- nicdicu (4/5): My worst experience ever - Before sharing anything with my fellows of the travelling club I had to make it clear that if you need more recent reviews about Laleli Blue Marmaray Hotel you should also check the reviews under Marmaray Hotel (without Laleli Blue) because there is where I found my review wrote at the end of November 2022, which I reproduce as follows: I am actually writing from the reception lobby because I refused to be checked in. The room I was supposed to spend my night hasn't got a window, which, I believe, is against any safety regulations. More than that, when I visited my sons' room I was in a total awe of the fact that the fire sprinkler is above the TV set. I let you draw the conclusions. And for the sake of political correctness I have to mention that the rooms I am talking about are 3010 and 3001. During my stylistic striving my cousin has got a nature' s call just to find out that there aren't any toilets anywhere near the reception lobby. She has been sent to - 2, but the toilet is nowhere to be find. I have repeated the operation seek and do whatever you need to do and EVRIKA!!! I find it in a store room. Thanks be to God and to the moving sensors (and the fact I happen to be more adventurous in obscure places) or else I would have missed it too. I believe I am entitle to say that one star is quite generous. What I am sure of is I definitely won't forget this experience for the rest of my days. To end it in a better tone I must add that the next day we were given an acceptable room (with a window of course). I can vouch for at least some of the bad reviews I read on the section Marmaray Hotel (which is the other name for Laleli Blue Marmaray). If you are not picky LALELI BLUE MARMARAY HOTEL may be an option after considering all the given details.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Looks cool but go somewhere else - The room smelled like chlorine or bleach, the mini fridge didn't get cold and smelled like rotten fish, the housekeeper didn't remove or replace the dirty coffee cups after cleaning, there were strange black dirty spots on the shower floor, the air conditioner worked but the screen itself was broken so you couldn't control the temperature, we were 2 people but only given 1 key, the "hot" food at breakfast was room temperature except for the soup, none of the guests we saw enjoyed the breakfast or coffee. The room itself had strange rules I'd never seen at other hotels, like no outside food allowed and no doing laundry in the room. Airbnb advertized a deluxe room with soundproofing, balcony, minibar, free water bottles etc and I paid for it but got none of those features. We could hear every noise from our neighbors including their toilet, tv, phone calls, and we could hear people walking in the hallway outside. Additionally the hotel is near a few mosques so you hear loud mosque singing as late as around 11pm and as early as around 6am. The reception desk service was great and the location is great if you want to visit mosques or go shopping. The hotel does look like the photos. A lot of the staff doesn't speak English.

After arriving to the room, there was only one roll of toilet paper with no additional napkins or Kleenex. I called the front desk and asked if they can bring up some toilet paper because I’m all out. An hour later I called again and still no one showed up. Adding to that situation walls are so thin I can hear everything happening outside the room. People next door had music on loud until 2am, sounded like they were having a party. Finally, I was able to sleep after it got quite. The same neighbors woke up at 8am and blasted the music again. After having to deal with all this I decided to leave the hotel that morning. Will never go back again!

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Location was good. Just a few minutes walk to transit stations, food and shopping. It is noisy, rooms are small too, but that's to be expected in a busy area. I am not a breakfast person, but there seemed to be quite a variety of choices. Although their base rate is for 2 people, and I had requested 2 twin beds instead of a full bed because my sister was joining me, they never replied to my message, and charged her €40 more when she got there first, then refused to give me a receipt for it. I have seen reviews from other people mentioning they have been charged more, but I didn't think it was a habit! They supposedly clean rooms everyday, but you could still see hair on the floor when you get back, they might just fold your towel and put it back on the rack instead of changing it and not give you an extra toilet paper roll. The refrigerator wasn't working. I mentioned it the first morning there. They said, they will take care of it but never did. There is no hot water sometimes. There is mold in the bathroom, and we even had water leak into the bedroom when we took showers. I would not recommend this place to anybody and would certainly never go back there again!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Schlimmste Hotelerfahrung - Ich würde dieses Hotel wirklich niemandem empfehlen, es war bisher das schlimmste Hotel in dem ich übernachtet habe. Es fing damit an, dass unsere Bettwäsche Flecken und Haare aufwies. Als wir das Personal baten, diese zu wechseln fing diese mit uns zu diskutieren an anstatt es auszuwechseln. Des Weiteren wurde abends der Strom und das Wlan ausgeschaltet, sodass es sehr schwierig war über die Nacht im Internet zu surfen oder das Handy aufzuladen. Außerdem wurden wir morgens von dem Gelächter und Lästereien des unfreundlichen Personals geweckt. Hinzu kommt, dass es auf der Toilette immer nach Kanalisation gerochen hat. Ich wünschte ich hätte dieses Hotel direkt stornieren können. Es waren die drei schlimmsten Übernachtungen meines Lebens. Ich frage mich immer noch wie das Hotel überhaupt so gute Bewertungen haben kann.

There is a bar in front of the hotel. - No radiator, no system to heat the room! - Not enough cabinet in the room and in the bedroom. - Very complicated to get into the room with a baby trolley. You have to take 2 different lifts and there is stairs in between. - The breakfast is poor, the quality very bad. We have had the breakfast outside everyday. - The crew is not helpful at all. The only positive point is: + it's clean.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - We stayed 3 nights. Slept well, the bed was comfortable and street noises died down by about midnight. They have a lovely breakfast buffet! Truly enticing! The hotel is attractive and clean. There were a few little glitches like the shower spraying all over but nothing out of expectations. We enjoyed the neighborhood but it might not be for everyone. It is very close to a tram stop (less than a block). We would stay again!

This was the second time I had been staying at this hotel for my holidays. hotel is one of the best locations. The hotel is close to the tramvay station, bus, metro and van station, which is only 1~5 minutes walk away. The Blue Marmaray hotel is a small 4-star hotel, although it does not have a large room (in Istanbul, hotels usually have a small room), but it's luxurious and clean and comfortable bed. The hotel was hot and cold breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were great and they answered the questions of passengers patiently. به همراه خانواده ام ۷ روز در هتل لالعلی بلو مارمارای اقامت داشتم. این دومین بار بود که اقامت در این هتل را برای تعطیلاتم انتخاب کرده بودم. یکی از بهترین لوکیشن را دارد. نزدیکی هتل به ایستگاه تراموا، اتوبوس، مترو و ون که فقط۱-۵ دقیقه پیاده روی لازم است. بلو مارمارای هتلی کوچک معادل ۴ ستاره است با اینکه سایز اتاق بزرگی ندارد (در استانبول هتلها معمولا دارای اتاق کوچکی هستند) ولی لوکس و تمیز و تختخواب راحت می باشد. هتل دارای صبحانه گرم و سرد بصورت سلف سرویس و بسیارخوب بود. پرسنل هتل همگی عالی بودند و سوالات مسافران را با صبر و حوصله جواب می دادند.

- cannon2000 (6/5): Average - We have just returned from this hotel. We all had an amazing time. Fabulous location and spotlessly clean. The spa is a must. The best massage ever. However every morning was a struggle to find sun beds. If you went down after 8:30 all sunbirds had towels on. For the size of the hotel I don’t believe there is enough sun beds to cater for the hotel and that was mid May so peak season may be terrible. Food was nice. Yes and coffee in rooms but only paper cups and only on the first day. No mugs were left. We had to drink from a very small glass at first. Our friends had amazing service from the cleaners in the rooms. We had a room of 3 yet only 2 glasses. Air con kept turning off through the night. All in all a good hotel but not a 4*

- Mohammad (4/5): Rooms are not exactly what you see in the picture. - One of the worst experiences with the room ever. Staff was nice but the room and hotel location were horrible. First room was by the street and so noisy and loud which we were not able to sleep. After that, we moved to another room on the first floor with no window and like a dungeon which you feel like you were in a jail. The location of the hotel was good near the main city and close to everywhere but the rooms were awful. It is probably good for a couple. Sorry, not be able to recommend it to two friends, brothers or solo. I tried to change our hotel but the hotel would not give my money back for the remaining days and had to suffer throughout the trip.
- tradvisoring (2/5): Certainly Not Worth The Money - -First of all, the obnoxious woman who is supposed to welcome the customers is a deal-breaker from the get go. Worst I've seen so far. She even tried to sell us the room we've booked for a higher price! The rest of the personnel were OK though. -Hygiene is barely above average. -You only can switch ON the AC, have to ring the desk to turn it OFF(WTF!?) -Good for sleeping, if you love to do so while listening loud Arabic music! (street is swarming with shady Arab migrants-99% of them are male- cancelling out the relative location advantage. -Oh and breakfast is included, with a fair amount of variety. So that's about the only plus.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Das Hotel hat uns gefallen, es liegt nah an der Straßenbahn Aksaray, die Anbindung ist sehr gut vom Airport Atatürk mit der Metro zur Metrostation Aksaray. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gesäubert, das Personal war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung des Hotels sieht sehr schön aus z. B. im Eingang ein Kronleuchter. Das Personal hat unser Gepäck bis zur Metrostation getragen und sehr geholfen, sehr zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank

Bien qu'au début on a l'impression que le quartier est un peu glauque, mais en s'habituant, on voit qu'on a en fait rien à craindre, le metro et tram n'est qu'à 5 min de marche, un bureau de change à 1min, des resto plus ou moins bons à proximité. Je recommande.

- Q9736JGjohnl (4/5): Be careful of pics - We looked the pics on here and we thought the prices were good enough and worth to go there for that price they asked on the other web pages but nothing was just the same as pictures Water were coming thru the roof and then we thought we were going to stay in the rooms it comes up on the internet when we get into our room and we got different rooms when we asked the receptionist he said that the pics are for the suites i said i like that that rooms i like to stay there but he said you got to pay extra for the suites To be fair it was scam I don’t recommend here to anyone guys avoid here

- samira_ali (8/5): excellent location - best location close to the Aksaray Metro and the tram stop. the hotel is clean and breakfast is good, but there is not tea maker or water in the room . هتلی تمیز با قیمت مناسب، صبحانه ی نسبتا خوب، فقط در اتاق چای ساز و آب معدنی وجود ندارد. و یه ایراد کوچیک اینکه حمام در نداشت و قسمت توالت خیس میشد. ولی در کل هتل خوبی بود ودسترسیش عالی بود، چرا که هم به مترو نزدیک بود و هم ترموا سر کوچه بود. در این رنج قیمت به دوستان پیشنهاد میکنم.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Neuwertiges Hotel im Herzen Istanbuls - Das Hotel befindet sich sehr zentrumnahe in Laleli und ist somit ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um die gesamte Stadt zu erkunden. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlichen und konnte einem immer weiterhelfen, das Frühstuck ist sehr abwechslungsreich und frisch. Die Zimmer sind klimatisiert und es gibt immer genügend Wasser. Für den Preis unschlagbar!!
