Guest Reviews
- Aleksandra (9/5): Perfect location, has everything you might need for stay - I don't understand the bad reviews. The place is prefect for a gateway and has everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped. New frying pans would be nice, but I guess guests damage them all the time. Hot tub was amazing. Beds comfortable - we only wished basement bed was a queen size.
Is it pricey? Yes, just like every place in Revelstoke.
Communication with host was awesome.
We recommend stoke Cabin!
- Anika (5/5): For the $1,400 we paid for two nights, I think that’s far too much for this property. You simply expect everything to wo - Location is great. House is clean amd have everything that you need The house is quite neglected. Anything that broke hasn’t been repaired—for example, some windows can’t even be opened. Overall, it needs basic maintenance, but the owners haven’t invested in it at all.
Outside, the grass hasn’t been cut, so there are tons of bugs and mosquitoes. You can’t even use the hot tub without being bitten, because the grass around it is nearly two meters high.
The barbecue they provided was broken. When we calledthey immediately called someone to fix it, and they replace it next day. Still, it was awful—barbecuing is the one thing you’d really want to do there, but the grill was in terrible condition, with rotten parts where the burners should be.
- Gloria (1/5): Not satisfactory. - Lots of insects everywhere. Staff said they were going to look into a refund and never end up replying. Very unresponsive. Looking at their reviews it seems like they have had the insect issue for a long time and did nothing about it. One of the stove top was also broken and the washroom door in the basement had a faulty lock they knew about but did not fix.
- Dryden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Veronica (8/5): Very good - The instructions for the garbage and recycling didn’t make sense.
- Terri (5/5): I might rent it again, if I couldn't find anything else. - Location is close to town with a nice view. Bathroom on each floor. It's getting worn. Needs some love. Dust and dirt in the corners. Dining room chairs need fixing. Deck is shabby. Deck chairs need to be replaced. Dish washer is ridiculous. The owners need to put some of the rent money into maintenance unless they only plan on catering to ski bums.
- Ebony (10/5): Amazing views, comfortable and a beautiful place to stay - Loved staying in this property. Had everything we needed, was very comfortable and loved the downstairs pool table area. Super spacious and perfect for larger groups. Highly recommend. No negatives!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Great space and location
- Karen (7/5): Good house for a family - The house is nice, cosy and very spacious. Pool table is fun. Some lived the hot tub. Good sheets on the beds. It wasn’t as clean as it could be; lots of stuff underneath the beds. It’s a bit dated. Bed (especially in the master) is noisy and the mattresses in two of the bedrooms are in dire need of replacement. Kitchen works, but dishes are all different. It’s all been used to the max. Same for the outside furniture. Location is close to centre, but above the house is the highway and below the train tracks.
- Niamh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (9/5): Good location - View Basement bedroom
- Carissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimmy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): excellent - the rural nature of it. Just a few small thing…. dead insects in upstairs bedroom lighting. Extractor didn’t work very efficiently. Extractor light didn’t work….. or at least we couldn’t get it to work.
- Seeham (9/5): Superb -
- Natalia (8/5): Very good -
- Rubab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mccloud (7/5): Good -
