- Richard (9/5): A quaint small inn with that quiet country flavor - Location to Mammouth Cave was wonderful. The Inn was clean and quiet. Only real issue was the bed, which was comfortable, sagged toward the middle. If you stayed on the outside no issues.
- Robert (10/5): Felt the Grand is grand... - We liked the quaintness of the inn. There was interesting things to look at all over the house. I felt it fit the description of a grand B&B. Thirty minutes before check-in we were texted the code for the front door and given our room number, with the key hanging in the door. Easiest check-in ever. We had taken a cave tour on the day of our arrival, but unfortunately I caught a bug during that tour. After the first night I awoke pretty sick. Spent the next day inside our room trying to recover. I did not get to enjoy breakfast at the inn. My wife told me she enjoyed it. There are railroad tracks near the Inn, so just be aware of a train horn in the middle of the night. Not super loud but it is noticeable. My wife and I felt it added to the ambience of where we were staying.

- Nienaber (1/5): Don't let the pictures fool you! - Nothing, although it was clean. We ended up going to a different hotel for several reasons. The bed was too soft, the Victorian loveseat in the room felt like springs were poking me when I sat on it, the room was super small, the tv had very few channels, the outside looked shabby, and the area looked dumpy. Pictures can and do lie! We never met the host. We let ourselves in with a code. There was a long narrow hallway lined with bookcases filled with old books and various things supposed to look Victorian, such as Longaberger baskets. There were several signs posted, such as: Do not touch! These things are from our personal collection! You are on camera!... Way to make your guests feel like thieves.

Had a great breakfast and enjoyed the company we were with and the staff that was there very enjoyable. I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like or would’ve made it better. Breakfast was fantastic too.

Very cathartic sitting on the porch watching it go by. Also of hearing the stories of around 1930's, the town's children used to gather, and the trains riders would throw pennies out the windows to them.

Our room had some minor issues, and when I reached out to the Diana, whose in charge of housekeeping, she immediately remedied the situation. The breakfast was very tasty and getting to talk to the owner was great. All in all it was a really nice stay at a beautiful place with great people working there. The southern hospitality was off the charts. I would highly recommend to any friends and family going to the Corvette Museum or Mammoth cave!

- Franklin D (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Victorian. The hotel is a living history museum of decades past. On arrival we were a little overwhelmed by the number antiques and nick-naks but quickly acclimated. The hotel and room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The nearby railroad crossing was noticeable but not too loud on the backside of the hotel. 1 or 2 trains each night. The staff and proprietors were very hospitable and helpful. Very convenient location to Mammoth Cave NP.

The breakfast was a highlight — the chef was so charismatic and even treated us to a little magic show while cooking (talk about entertainment included with your eggs! 😂). The server was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Our room was quaint and cozy, perfectly decorated to match the era of the house. It honestly felt like stepping back in time, where everything slowed down and you could just breathe and enjoy the moment. Such a peaceful and memorable stay we can’t wait to come back! If you are reading this a love thrifting on a budget stay away from anything with “antique” in the name! There are tons of amazing thrift shops a little further down the road!

Room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfasts were fantastic. I even enjoyed the trains coming through at night. There were only a couple each night. Kinda took me back to a different era.

- Jessika (10/5): So charming, I’m planning another vacation stay here! Historical charm and breakfast is included. Free on site parking. - Incredibly charming! It was a treat to get breakfast in the dining room and have such a close proximity to Mammoth Cave. On site parking is free. The staff were accommodating for our late arrival and were great communicators for entering the property as well as our room. I would definitely stay here again. Location is nice for a remote vacation, but expect a bit of a drive into downtowns. This did not bother us at all.
- Steve (10/5): A+ Stay at Grand Victorian Inn - Gary and Karin were very welcoming. The room was clean, and the Bed & Breakfast was beautiful. Overall, it was very peaceful and quiet! We got to relax in the little gazebo and watch the fireflies at sunset. The resident feline, which I only ever saw outside, was also very friendly.

Quaint, stunningly beautiful, absolutely wonderful owners, comfortable accommodations, and amazing breakfast! It was great getting to know the other families passing through and the owners! We will be back!
- 2trvel (8/5): A pleasant quirky stay - The Inn is a nice choice if you are looking for something quirky and atmospheric within 15 minutes of Mammoth Caves. It's an old travelers' inn that's been converted into a B&B, located along-side the railroad tracks. There's a big wrap-around porch on which you can have a drink as the sun sets (BYOB) The owner enjoys sharing the Inn's history. If you are noise sensitive, bring ear-plugs and, although they don't blow the train whistle after 10pm, they do blow it early in the morning. For this reason, we opted for a slightly smaller room at the back of the house, rather than facing the railroad tracks: It probably didn't make a difference noise-wise and it wasn't a big deal for one night. Breakfast was basic but plentiful: fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes with juice and coffee. (I'd been hoping for something a bit more creative or customized.) The bed was comfortable. The house is full of whimsical collections - like old samplers, dolls, books, etc... Additional tip: The restaurant at Mammoth Caves is pretty good despite its modest appearance: We were pleasantly surprised, as was another couple staying at the Inn. Excellent fried green tomatoes!

- Juan (9/5): A nice retreat with a great breakfast. - Beautiful place. The surroundings were very well kept. The park across the street was a lovely place to walk in the afternoon. The crowd in the B&B was older, so this made the stay very quiet and pleasant. The breakfast was tremendous. Awesome pancakes, with a delicious buttery flavor. The hosts were very graceful. The bed was a little hard and uncomfortable, but not too terrible.

- yuan (10/5): - This B&B is in a beautiful historic building that were restored by the owners, Karen and Gary. They are very friendly. The breakfast was great. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to visit the Mammoth Cave National Park. Although there are trains going by a few times at night,.. no horns after 9pm and before 6am, so i was not bothered by the nightly trains. I highly recommend this place.

The room was quaint and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Others have complained about the train, but it passed only a couple of times during the day and not at all at night, and its passing was very quick. We found it part of the charm!

Everything was perfect: the room was beautiful and comfortable, the grounds of the hotel were stunning, and the breakfast each morning was delightful. I can't recommend Karin & Gary's lovely B&B enough!

The room is clean and comfortable. It is convenient to get to Mammoth Cave National park, only 15 min. away. Be prepared for trains passing by occasionally.

- DIANE (10/5): Mammoth Cave close by. - This was a wonderful historic hotel very close to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. We arrived late and the fireplace in the lobby was on and very welcoming. Communication was excellent and we were instructed how to get in and access our room. The place was clean and comfy. Breakfast was great with waffles eggs and fruit and bacon. Nice and quiet. Hostess very pleasant
- James (8/5): A clean and good location from which to visit all the sites within a 20-35 mile area. - The owners are considerably friendly and courteous. The Hotel has been restored and preserved in a manner that hearkens to a bygone era. Depending on personal requirements the nearby train runs 2-4 times within 50 yards of the Hotel. This is probably a result of earlier decades when Railroad travel was common and neccessary. We found the train horn to be unnecessary in this particular location as there isn't any street cross traffic posible. However it would not be a dealbreaker! And we would certainly stay again.

The decor is all antiques and felt like an old time museum because it has so much to see. The hosts were kind and friendly and check in was very easy and hassle free. I definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in a bed and breakfast near the national park.
