• Tania (10/5): Wonderful and comfortable experience - I loved the location. The cottage itself was very comfortable and quiet. Very clean and I have allergies to scents, and there were no scents that set off my allergies. Very much enjoyed my stay! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

• Dr Haymo and Mary Louise (9/5): Beautiful views from the deck. - A lovely location, very quiet and beautiful views. A lovely welcome from the manager and they allowed us early access as we had a wedding to go to. Huge bed but very high off the floor for us shorties 🤭

Great signage out front to help you find the turn but and this is just me- driving in the dark is not ideal.

• Gerry (10/5): - Our cabin was a pleasant surprise! The ammenties and view were the very best. The owner made our stay easy and relaxing as we had a common ground (Calgary) and the love of nature. I would definitely recommend this property as a go to for a stay.

A covered porch with chairs and a picnic table are there for you to enjoy the outdoors. Arrive with everything you need (coffee!) as this is a rural property without amenities nearby. Would stay again.

• Shelley (10/5): - This was the BEST cabin rental EVER!! It was so perfect - the view, the grounds to walk on, the trail and the hill on the property. The cabin was fully equipped and super clean and comfortable. They think of everything. We will be back again for certain. Nice to have a coffee on the chairs on our cabin porch in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening - amazing view!

I may have just missed it however. Great walking trail.

• Manfred (7/5): Entspannte Tage - Ruhige Chalets mit guter Ausstattung unter persönlicher Führung des engagierten Besitzers. Dieser war stets bemüht unseren Wünschen nachzukommen. Die Anlage wirkt insgesamt gut gepflegt. Das Wifi war teilweise richtig schlecht, was uns der Besitzer aber bereits beim Einzug mitgeteilt hat.
• Marcel (9/5): Cozy cottage with great ocean views. - Selected this property online not knowing the area and we were looking for a place on the way through to the Cape Breton Highlands and the Cabot Trail. This location worked out perfect with a great view of the ocean and straights between Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. We stayed only one night but would have been quite comfortable for a longer stay. The view from the top of the hill was gorgeous! witnessed a beautiful sunset over the water. The owner James was very helpful and courteous. He provided a thorough orientation of the cottage, and provided great information for shopping for groceries and places for dinner about 10 minutes away. Everything was in order and as expected from the booking and website information. There was nothing remarkable to note as not "likable". Everything was good!

• htw1 (8/5): - Die Troy Cottages sind eine Anlage mit mehreren Hütten und einer zentralen Rezeption. Parkplatz gibt es gleich neben einer Hütte. Die Hütte selbst hat zwei kleine Schlafräume und ein kleines Bad sowie ein Wohnzimmer kombiniert mit einer Küchenzeile. Küchenutensilien sind genau passend für vier Personen (vier Teller, vier Gabeln, etc.). Die Unterkunft war sauber und ist gut gelegen, um von dort aus die Wanderweg des Cape Breton Nationalparks zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants gibt es in Port Hastings (ca. 7km entfernt) und Port Hawkesbury (ca. 13 km entfernt). Das WLAN war sehr schwach und hat sogar das Abrufen von E-Mails erschwert.

The view from the front of the cabin was beautiful. We only stayed one night, but we would have been happy to stay longer. We liked everything.

The owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was no tea/coffee in the room, although there was both a kettle and a coffee maker. The cottages are not in walking distance of the nearest settlement

• Suzanne (8/5): Very good - The location is absolutely gorgeous. The view was amazing, we even watched the fireworks in Port Hawkesbury miles away from our deck. It was clean on the surface but could use a little extra such as cleaning the mini blinds and the wall behind the toilet. Starting to look worn on the outside, needing some paint, but overall we were very happy.

The hostess was incredibly helpful and hospitable, making us feel very welcome. A peaceful and quiet location, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended! For the ideal comfort of guests, it would be great to include tea and coffee sets in the cottage. That way, there’s no need to go out to a coffee shop first thing in the morning for a refreshing drink.

• Takumi (10/5): A quiet and well equipped hill top lodge with a great view! - The hill top lodges has a great view and are in a quiet environment. The kitchen is well equipped and the host lets us use a large pot to cook lobsters. The check-in was smooth and easy too.
