Guest Reviews
- cynthia (2/5): Horrible - The hotel was so rundown and full of cats that I couldn’t even stay there I give the key back to the owner and ask for my money back. I still have not seen it on my credit card. Do not stay here. I do not know why it’s even Hotels.com because it’s a horrible horrible place to stay.
- Gilbert (2/5): - This was hotel was absolutely filthy, smelled bad, and had stained and out dated furniture! Would not recommend!
- Brittany (6/5): - They were great with the check in and check out. The room itself was on a scale 1-10 about a 4. The lights next to the bed did not work and the floor had a spot that was tacky like someone had spilled something and not cleaned it up all the way. The couch, bed and sheets were all clean and comfortable. The water pressure is great in the shower. Unfortunately, the bathroom was not cleaned all of the way. There were dirty finger smudges on the back of the door and on the wall. If they just cleaned a little more thorough and replaced the light bulbs next to the bed, then this place would not be bad to stay at.
- Annie (4/5): - So dirty
- mike (8/5): - Did the trick, was able to get good rest after my surgery.
- rand (8/5): - friendly staff
- Amy (8/5): - Quiet safe area, nice, accommodating staff, lots of hot water.
- Amanda (10/5): Hospitality and local appreciation - Accepting locals and ease of check in and stay is amazing!
- Judy (2/5): - This place was dirty in all areas. Walls had all kinds of things plastered on them. Bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all. I had a serious attack of bed bugs. This place should be on the black list and not available for stays. Clean the place up or shut it down!!!
- Michael (2/5): Poor Stay - The room and bathroom were not clean, the sink had hairs in it….I was looking for a wall electrical plug by the bed and pulled out the bedside table to find excess dust and dirt between the table and wall…looked like it not been cleaned in months, maybe years ….there was a bulb missing in the light above the sink in the bathroom. I was on the 2nd. Floor and there was a lot of trash in the stair well which would have taken 15 minutes to keep clean. Facility needed maintenance…space around the door, not sealed…space between door frame and wall….I was fortunate it was not the middle of winter as it would have been impossible too keep the room.
Very disappointing stay. I told friends in Craig , Colorado never have friends stay at that motel…

- Jeffrey (4/5): - Room smelt of cat piss and there were no trash cans in the room. Charged us when we showed up instead of after the stay. Definitely will not return. Stay away from this dump.
- Chad (8/5): - The manager was very helpful with allowing us to park our fishing boat and charge the batteries. Also good place for hunting season.
- Marvin (6/5): - Clean inside only. Not a place to stay if ur used to big name hotels. No amenities. But if ur just looking for a place to lay r head then this place is acceptable.
- Shana (2/5): - This place is horrible in total disrepair no advertised amenities, the Quality inn is right up the street spring for the extra money!!!
- Herbert (2/5): - Dirty filthy inside and out garbage cans full discarded clothing laying around on the ground. No value.
- Evelyn (6/5): - Room was shabby, but clean. Property around building was filthy...overflowing trash, empty beer bottles and cans that smelled, cigarette butts everywhere.
- Anthony (6/5): - The property was quiet
- Ralph (8/5): - Noisy upstairs floor squeaky
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Was clear someone had been in the room before me
Bed sheets were stained and rhere was dirt all over
- Angelique (4/5): - I reserved a King, was given a room with 3 full beds. I had to complain multiple times to be moved to a room with a King bed. Room was in poor condition, clean but dingy, no maid service for a multiple day stay. The price was affordable and the bed was comfortable but would not stay again.
- William (2/5): Dirty - This hotel is very run down. If it's your only option, is is a bed in a very dirty room. Stains on everything from the carpets to the ceiling. I had to fix ths toilet so it would flush. Spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.
- Butch (6/5): - its old,, it is what you should expect for $75
- Dale (6/5): - Loved the empty lot next door so i could park my trailer. The price was right, but the room was not cleaned well. The bathroom floor was dirty, counter tops had spots that were not cleaned, and the carpet had not been vacuumed.
- Edward (8/5): Basic no frills hotel. Get a nights rest and go - Cheap, no frills hotel. Driveway was difficult to find at night but I've been there before. Cold coffee in the lobby next morning, yuck. There's a gas station across the road if you don't mind playing a little human frogger. Got an excellent Mexican restaurant closeby too
- Bruce (8/5): - Good place to stay for the price .
- Cyra (2/5): - Stains everywhere. Old everything. Weird overwhelming smell. Yellow walls. Fridge didnt work and had mold growing inside it. Stay away. 0/10.
- Joshua (2/5): Stay away - The room was disgusting. We had to adk for clean linens due to hair and weeds in the bed. The floor even had grated cheese mixed with pet hair on the floor. I would never recommend this place!
- Howard (10/5): - Warm, clean, spacious and good hot water. Friendly reception.
- Mike (8/5): - Great for the price
- Hwang (2/5): - dirty, dirty, and dirty
- Daniel (8/5): - You get what you pay for. Bed and place to shower.
- lei (10/5): - Good service and very clean
- Jeffrey (2/5): - This place was the worst place I ever stayed at. Dirty. Blood stains on the carpet and furniture. Bleach spots in n the carpet to clean good knows what.
- Nicholas (2/5): Very disappointed in my stay - Could not get the cable to work on the t. V.
The heater seemed to take forever to warm. The room just was not satisfied on my stay very disappointed
- John (2/5): - It was filthy the guy working there switched me to 3 different rooms and every one was dirty I felt like I was gonna get Covid ended up leaving there and rented another hotel for the night guy told me I couldn’t get a refund and wanted to get out of there as fast as possible so I just turned in my key and rented another hotel and wasted that 80 dollars I paid travel inn
- Jasvinder (6/5): - Could be cleaner
- Richard (6/5): - No continental Breakfast, No ice machine, no coffee maker in room ! No beverage machine !
- Derek (10/5): - Early check-in available. Friendly staff.
- Anne (6/5): - You get what you pay for! For its price range, it's not too bad. We were able to check in late (around 9 pm) without any problems. The room was plain and clean. The smoke alarm went off a couple of times just from shower steam, so that was the main drawback. We only stayed for a night.
- Jeff (4/5): Old and worn - Really basic hotel with no upgrades for decades.
- Jerry (4/5): - I stayed there just one night while on a hunting trip. I could not park my truck in front of my room, but had to park at a distance and it had a lot of valuable stuff in it. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and it was kind of dingy/unclean. Even a fresh coat of paint would help. 🙂
- Dax (8/5): Accommodating management, needs some updating. - They helped accommodate our super late check in which was very nice. The place was old and run down. They still use a physical metal room key so you understand when I say the place is probably due for some updates. It was what we expected. Better than a tent in November, but definitely nothing fancy.
- Monique (2/5): - It was bad the only thing I can say I really didn’t have a problem with was the bathroom. Looked like the only sanitized and cleaned area. The WiFi did not work! Under the bed had so much dirt and dust bunnies an inch thick NOT KIDDING! And the heater didn’t even heat up the room . What topped everything off and caused me to leave an 1hr after arrival…. I looked under the bed and found a pair of someone’s SWEATS still in the room . Didn’t even sit on the bed. Horrible . Horrible experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Plain Jane - It is an old building with dated carpet and worn out furniture. The TV hookup and it’s array of channels was very strange. No news or normal stations. If you are looking for a nights sleep and a shower it is a good deal for the price. Anything beyond that you should book somewhere else.
- Robert (8/5): - Close to the hunting area I was hunting in
- Edward (8/5): Restful stay - They've got the friendliest cat but it's awful skittish. Check in was a breeze and they allowed me to park my bike under the awning and out of the rain. Rooms were spacious and clean. Rather soft beds
- Renee C (8/5): - The pool was great. Also they had a area in the back with a grill you could use. They were very short staffed, so some of the public restrooms were out of toilet paper, and the garbage was over flowing.
- charles (6/5): - it was ok. - towels and sheets were clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): - FOr a non smoking room it smelled like it was always smoked in. Lamps missing bulbs or didn’t work. Empty whiskey bottle under the bed.
- Don (8/5): - Big room. Very comfortable. Clean and cozy on the inside. Do not let the rather boring and
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic accommodations for a road trip - We booked a room with 3 queen beds, but the beds looked as if they might have been only full sized beds. My wife and daughter shared one of the beds and reported feeling waves whenever one person tossed and turned. They wondered if the bed might have been a water bed. Our room didn't come with any bath towels, but the staff was very helpful in providing us with towels and toiletries when asked. During the middle of the night, someone had opened our cooler that was strapped to the back of my truck, but didn't take any of our food and water; we didn't have any alcohol in the cooler.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Could hear Upstairs guests footsteps, no sound barriers
- Terry (2/5): Don't stay here - I just spent 6 days tent camping with no shower. This place left me feeling dirtier when I left then when I arrived. I had to go to Walmart and purchase an air freshener to mask the nasty smell of the room. This is one place you want to pass on. But the ice machine works great for filling your cooler.
- Clifford (8/5): - The rooms were clean getting clean every day And getting fresh towels everyday
- Jimmy (4/5): Buyer beware!! - Tub was dirty and backed up while trying to bathe . Booked a king bed, got two doubles.
Carpet was dirty and wet. Oh! And wasn’t travelers Inn!! It was traveler inn. Play on words to deceive you into thinking Travelers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Inn keeper was super friendly and accommodating. She graciously responded to our request to be moved out of our first room because the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. She helped us figure out problems with the new Roku service they had bought for the TV, and she quickly provided new pillows at our request. There was coffee and pastry every morning. All that said, the "cleaning" was subpar--our trashe overflowed, the carpets had not bee vacuumed, and, the place was dusty. The bedsheets and pillows were old, and the sheets on one of the beds had old stains (blood?) and cigarette burns. On the outside, the handrail was so sticky and gross, we had to use a paper towel to hold on to the rail, and even that ended up getting stuck. Piles of boxes and who-knows-what, cluttered the areas by the stairways. We opted to leave a day early and had no regrets paying a little extra for better accommodations at a near by location.
- David (8/5): - good stay no problems
- Joseph (2/5): Horrible Place to Stay - This hotel is horrible and the Asian front desk clerk was horrible at best. I would recommend that Hotels.com take this property off their list and never recommend it again. Horrible guest services and no regard for anyone but themselves
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy to find off I-40. Affordable, with decent accommodations.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room reeked of cigarette smoke even though there were signs everywhere saying it was a non-smoking room & had been specially cleaned. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet bowl. It was quiet & the owners were friendly. I would not stay there again.
- JACK (10/5): Price was excellent - Requested lower floor when I reserved room since I have a bad back and some heavy things to take up stairs, but Inn did not even read my request. But for the price and quality I am pleased with it all. I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Needs Updating - The hotel overall needs updating. The bed was Rock Hard along with hard pillows. The shower head was very small and just dribbled out for the most part. The loveseat pillows were very uncomfortable to sit on. There were tiny bath towels. No Kleenex and just the bare minimum of all supplies. Doors on the outside of the hotel, which were banged up. Some had new door knobs, some didn’t. I would not stay here again. It was the only hotel left, so we stayed here.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The folks that run the place are nice, but the door key had issues and we almost had to stay in the truck or wake up the lady at 12:30 am to open the door for us.
The toilet seat did not fit the toilet, the bed was so hard I felt I was sleeping on the ground and the pillow needed replaced several years ago. The room said non smoking but smelled like they put the sign up yesterday. No cable, but a ROKU TV so be ok with watching YouTube videos with a million ads.
It's ok if you are traveling through and just need a place to sleep but not ok if you are staying more than a night.
I would not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dump don’t go
- Daniel (2/5): Demolition due! No joke! - Hotels.com is not doing their job of filtering motel facilities. This motel has asbestos popcorn ceilings from the 50s or 60s. The walls are paper thin, the mattress, toilets, furnishings were from the 50s or 60s also. The linens were all stained. The management barely spoke English. The continental breakfast were over ripened bananas with a few tiny blueberries muffins. They are catering to fulltimers for sure and overpricing rooms for the better motels in town.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It had none of the amenities that were on website. She charged 20 dollar per room deposit which is not bad.Went to checkout she said ok bye we said our deposits? She looked at us like we were crazy She finally agreed to give deposits back amd when she did she gave us only 20 dollars when we paid 40 Wont go back there again.Dirty rooms just a run down motel and poorly ran....No cable tv
- Beverly (8/5): Have stayed here before and will again! - No frillls motel that allows dogs and there is a large open space for dogs to roam a little. The room was clean, the king-size bed comfortable and it was quiet. Price was reasonable and there was only a minimal charge for the dog.
- Rob (8/5): - Great value for two queen beds. A lot of parking for trailers.
- Scott (2/5): Don’t stay here - Terrible dump only two channels no wifi beds stink filthy
- DEAN (6/5): - Old needs repairs carpet was dirty TV didn't work noisy .pillows were yellow.
- Sonja (8/5): - The room was very clean however the bed in the room was broken
- Stacy Mortenson (6/5): saddened - The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets had stains on them. You could see light around all four sides of the door. The carpet could have used a professional cleaning
- John (4/5): Disgusting! - I have not stayed at a dirtier hotel! I wondered how they could have a 11 check out and 11:30 check in. Now I know! Used soap wrappers behind the door with the dust bunnies. Sticky drink ring on the night stand. Dead fly on the air-conditioner. Hair on the pillow case. Cigarette burns on the sheets. Crusty something on the faucet and aerator. Tried to take a shower to feel cleaner but the soap scum on the shower walls and mold on the curtain made it worse. I prepaid the room and left early because I could not take the filth. Didn't even care if I received a refund. I stayed in some questionable places over the years but this was the worst by far!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean.sparce continental breakfast
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The cat at the front desk was very friendly and if I wasn't allergic I would have petted it. Other than that, this place was terrible and I would not return. The lady at the front desk was friendly but she ran my credit card and then just smiled. I waited a long, awkward moment and then I asked which room we were in. She asked me if I needed a key...??? Um, Yes, please. The room was poorly furnished, the beds were noisy and uncomfortable, the light didn't work, the heat was not easily controlled, the walls were filthy dirty, it was difficult to shut the bathroom door since someone had installed an oval toilet bowl that blocked the door. When I went to check out no one was at the desk so I just left the key on the counter and i noticed the "breakfast" appeared to be some brown bananas and coffee. The whole experience was pretty bad.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for the price. Good basic lodging, clean bed and hot water.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was very nice and friendly and the room was very, very affordable, however the room could use some sterilization.
- Donald (4/5): - Hair in the shower, oblong toilet with a round toilet seat. Small one too.
- Michael (4/5): very old, ok if you don't have any other option - Old hotel, with a kind of musty old cat smell.
beds were ok.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Half of lights in room didn't work. Wanted to take shower at 9 pm No hot water.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst motel ever - This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at in 30 years. Our plan was to stay there for a week. It is in need of some serious maintenance and some deep cleaning. Pulled back the sheets and there was hair in the sheets. Not sure if it was human or pet hair. The next day we left out early for the day. Returned back that night to find that our room had not even been cleaned. No towels, wash cloth, soap, trashed had not been empty beds had not been made and no toilet paper. Went down to check out only to be told that there is no refund for the room because it is there busy time of the year. They had a homemade sign taped to the wall on the inside of the office. I explained to them that I had booked this room through Hotels.com and there was no special restriction. To top it all off is when I talked to the motels district manager he said that Hotels.com had all the information on their special restriction and it was their fault if they did not pass it on to their customers. I hung up and we packed up and moved to the Hampton Inn across the street. My recommendation is to stay somewhere else.
- JoeCool (8/5): - Decent older property for the price. We had a large 3 bed room. Hot water, decent shower. Mattresses are soft and sagging and should be upgraded. When that gets done I’d definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): good enough.... - Room was clean. Lady was friendly. Floor lamp didn't work. Property in need of significant maintenance. It was so late, we went to bed right away, got up in the AM and went on our way. Pricey for a raggedy place.
A couple thousand dollars in paint, trim and minor repairs would do wonders.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location for decent price, great for hunters or bikers
- Mike (8/5): - We are traveling on bikes and like the bikes close to the door. If you like the finer things in life then it’s not for you. If you want a clean place to lay your head and it feels homey. At this price point you can’t go wrong.
- Briana (4/5): Unclean - Things were dirty! Towels stained, washcloth had dirty finger prints, sticky night stand with cup imprints still on them, refrigerator smelled moldy, the comforter had food stain & someone else’s hair under it. The overall price was super appreciated and very affordable.
- Bryan (8/5): Fire Pit - Good place to stay. Km even had a bone fire going fo the guests that wanted to relax around a fire.
- David (6/5): - It is a cheap place to stay in Craig. If you are looking for a place to lay your head down and get some sleep and that is it, then this is the place.
I would recommend the second floor as the floors are squeaky and loose- so you get noise from above in rooms on the ground level.
Nothing fancy about this place, bare bone minimum.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No coffee pot. King size room was not available as reserved. Mold on refrigerator seal.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Reserved a king was given 2 double beds. Even asked the woman at check in if it was a king and she said it was. Get to the room and it wasn't. Was too tired from driving to go deal with it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Kind of run down. Cheap, get what you pay for. No breakfast, no water.
- JudyO (10/5): - Independently owned property across from a perfectly fine Mexican restaurant. Great place to stop over when crossing large states! I left Dinosaur Nat Patk (CO) at 7pm, headedeast, slept here. Couldnt have been easier.
Breakfast was bagel, toaster, cream cheese and banana. Coffee. Only powdered creamer, yuck. That's my only complaint, the powdered creamer.
- Amanda (8/5): Last minute stop - We booked a room here last minute when our original route was blocked by a mudslide. The motel is older, and the breakfast was mostly donuts and cookies. The room was clean, and the owners/manager was friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Cheap price.. However I would not stay again. It is a run down facility The cat on the checkin counter and other cats in the office did not leave a good impression either.
- Anthony (6/5): Aussies on a road trip - Budget motel OK for the price.
.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cute greeting cat, nice staff but room is nothing super special. Not bad, great price.
- G. (8/5): - Good prices, large rooms with mini fridge and microwave
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hard and uncomfortable bedding, dirty room as well. I found dog treats in my bed from the last guest. The bathtub drained very slow due to all the hair buildup as well. Breakfast consisted of one package of rice krispies from Walmart still in the Walmart packaging. I was charged for my room upon checking in which was also odd, my price from Expedia was $55 yet I was charged $70. Disappointing.
- Robert (4/5): Bad internet. - The room was clean and neat. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Had to change hotels because internet was not strong enough to do work on laptop.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place was old, run-down, and permanantly reeks of tobacco. You might be able to stay in the TravelLodge in Yampa for $5 more per night, which is SO much better.
