Guest Reviews
- NorthStar41530858014 (2/5): PIG PIN! - I would Advise you, if you value your life, do not stay there! I had the manager Billy Change my locks and She let a homeless man into my room, I came home after a 10-hour shift just to see a man laying on my bed! The man was homeless, and I had to Call the Pueblo Police Department to get him out. Then my life was threatening by housing keeping and Maintenace. I asked the Manager to Change my Locks or Fix the issue and she refused to! This Place needs to Be shut down and reported to the BBB! this place is full of young, trafficked kids, Drugs, and lots of Junkies all over the place! the halls are full of smoke and people on the ground overdosed and withdrawing! For a Cheap $800.00 a month it's not worth it. The place has bed bugs and cockroaches. The Housekeeping staff spend their time sneaking in rooms with the maintenance staff and doing drugs and prostitution while on the job. I had birds in my ceiling and the wall was Caving in, my fridge was disgusting with frozen metal heroin sheets in it! This place is trash and management are to blame, Billy is not a fit person to run this Business! I would say I did meet a few staff that did care and try to keep the place clean and safe! My car was almost broken into, and they need security! This review shouldn't even have 1 star!
- Tih45 (2/5): Losers - The fool at the front desk told me the fire zone was reserved for managers, that I couldn’t park there. Lol. It’s reserved for firefighters or law enforcement in case of an emergency idiot, not as special parking for managers who don’t even own a vehicle
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Reserved a room. Checked in at the front desk to find no rooms available. Waste of $100.
- kathytU3309GB (2/5): A terrible establishment all around! - Where do I start, it's that bad! I reserved two weeks. Never was told there was no refund! Sure! It was on a sign behind the desk, but I should have been told. Then, my room was filthy! Beds were ok. No blankets at all. FILTHY REFRIGERATOR with pizza leftovers. No microwave. No phone. Had to walk a long way to get to room from lobby. Hard on an old lady like me! I was told not to prop door. On day 5 the housekeeper propped it to smoke! I reported to f. Desk oh the MAIDS WORK HERE they can do that we have to keep out the "bad" people oh really? I said am I bad? No room service.for 4 days and then only when i asked and the girl said oh well i cant get into 104 so I can come do yours. I deserve service regardless! Rotten management! Never stay there again!
- Anna (2/5): - Room not clean, no towels. Heater worked
- Verified traveler (4/5): Should be called “Last Resort” Inn&Suites - I usually have pretty low expectations when visiting low-end motels, plus it normally doesn’t bother me. But this poor little motel... the staff are very nice and accommodating, but they really have their work cut out for them renovating that whole building. It looks and feels like a trap house.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a ticket to find out later that it was doubled because of my pets. I cancelled immediately after booking and they wouldn’t refund my money. Staff was completely unprofessional.
- 544cierrab (2/5): DO. NOT. BRING. FAMILY. HERE. - This place is HORRIBLE. We chose to come here over staying at another place thinking it’d be nicer. Huge mistake. I wouldn’t even recommend this hotel to the homeless. This is literally like a prison cell. People hanging out their windows, the hallways are disgusting the rooms are awful spotted stained carpets stains on walls, stinks. Were NOT staying. We have been here an hour, long enough to give our son a bath and leave. Do NOT waste your money staying here. You’re better off in a car. I’m worried about my car even being in the parking lot. I don’t recommend this to anyone!
- do not stay here! (2/5): Worse place to stay! - The managers were rude and even sold my room before i even got there and i paid a reservation! The man answered the phone from a phone in the lobby. he said they didn't have any rooms for the night and i told him i had a reservation. he said check in was 2 and i told him its 3 am and i have a reservation. he told ne he sold all the rooms they sold out. so i asked did you sell my room? the lady grabbed the phone and yelled we don't have any rooms! then hung up! what's worse is when i walked in the lobby, there was a hobo sleeping on the lobby couch! the room is falling apart as you coming in. There is holes in the walls and a very loud club down a couple building down.
- Kenneth (2/5): Worst motel I have experienced - Place was very ran down, only thing good was clean sheets, holes in walls and ceiling.deapes dirty and torn. Never stay at this place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel was very dirty and very dangerous. Sliding glass door locked from the outside, floor hadn't been vacuumed in a while, broken windshield, glass covered the parking lot, staff was in very dirty clothes. I could not stay more than 5 minutes.
- Connie (2/5): Dangerous and Dirty - In a run-down part of town. No locks on exterior doors and the lock on my room had been duct-taped back in place. No lock or latch on the sliding glass door to interior years. door secured with a stick. Room was not clean - carpet in terrible condition and smelly. Stains on the sofa. Very bad odor in the room and hall way. I didn't feel safe.
- Paul (2/5): Gross - Dead roaches smashed on the wall, not hot water in the morning, cruddy area of town, no locks on exterior commons areas, lock to room sketchy.
- Inez (2/5): Worst Hotel - Worst hotel I have ever experienced!! This hotel looked nothing like the pictures. When we got to the room it was filthy smelled like mold and water came out brown when I turned on the sink. Ultimately my girlfriend and I ended up leaving to find another hotel to stay in.I am truly surprised that hotel sites even feature this hotel on their website. Do not stay here no matter good the price sounds you will regret it!
- Estela (2/5): Will never make such a choice again. - Paid two nights, lost one, because of no refund policy. Prefer to loose the the night stay. Do not recomand, rather pay Moore and feel safe.
- david (2/5): Stay Away - First, the receptionist was curt on the borderline of rude. Second, there were bird feathers, carpet stains and a poor smell on the way to room. All of which but the bird feathers continued into the room. Third, I killed seven cockroaches. Four in the bathroom and three in the room. If Val U Stay Inn had the last room available in Pueblo I would rather stay in Colorado Springs and commute. A complete rip off. The management must care nothing for the general condition of there facilities.
- Net (2/5): Nasty filthy hotel - I would never stay there again this place was dirty and not suitable for humans the place need to be shut down
- Larry (2/5): Hope it gets better. - Upon initial inspection of our room we found the door locks had been exchanged for smaller ones. The holes had been packed with toilet paper and paper towels. The floor had a fresh layer of dead roaches. We were transferred to another room. The same layer of bugs was on the floor. There was only one towel and the lock on the sliding door didn't work. When I went to ask for another towel I was taken to the laundry room and shown that there were no more towels. I was told that the place was under new management. I hope that they will be able to make it better.
- Kelly (8/5): overall a great stay - i was working on a paper which was made a little more stressful because the internet was slow but there was a problem right before my check out and the person on duty at the front desk handled it with great care and I very much appreciated that so overall my say was nice and I got my paper taken care of and I appreciated being able to stay there the prices was great and i hope to stay again at some point.
- disappointed (2/5): Very poor conditions - The door lock was in disrepair. Hallway and carpet were very worn ans dirty. The A/C unit did not cool. The bathroom had bugs. Sink and tub had yellow stains.
- Robert (2/5): Terrible place, looks like it should be out of bus - Rear door of unit could not be locked as lock was stripped off. Electric wall box hanging out with wires protruding. TV had only two or three stations.
- Verified traveler (2/5): the projects - terrifying! the hotel.should be condemned. it's a crack and meth hotel for people living there. there was ashes in the sink in our room, by the bed on the floor, at least 50 mattresses stacked up outside with people ripping into them getting the spring out to scrap. drainage backed up when taking a shower. door was broken. the list goes on. I'm shocked I survived the night and are cars weren't stolen. but the a/c was super cold!
- Lester (6/5): Total dump - Unfortunately, this place is a dump and I think we heard gun shots. When I checked in, the lady at the desk said she was on the phone with the police about unruly guests. Never stay here again!
- Frank (2/5): Mostly transient to semi-permanent residents. - That the police only showed up once to settle a domestic dispute was a surprise.
- John (4/5): - Bugs!!!!!
- Imelda (4/5): - Terrible the very old property with garbage around, broken locks, trash in the drawers, and last 20 minutes to find the room since the woman at the front desk did not explain where and everything is very big and confusing
- Annliz (2/5): Stay Away under all circumstances - This is not a hotel. Its a dump shack. It was filthy dirty. Roof falling down, room was dirty, sheets were stained, killed 3 bugs. I ended up sleeping in the car. Do not stay here under any circumstances. This place should not be even showing up on search engines. Its creepy and disgusting. You have been warned.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I would say that this would be a good place for a quick stay or on short notice. The price was affordable. However I would suggest you bring all the essential toiletries including towels because they don't supply it. Which I wished I had known before hand. There is a balcony for those who do smoke which is nice. Trying to get a hold of the front desk to check in and out took a long time. Mainly because you can't find them. Overall this was not the best place to stay at, but it had some okay points.
- jeanne (6/5): Convenient - I travel by car from los Angeles to Colorado for a funeral a close relative passed away. Val U stay was the closest and cheapest we enjoy our stay
- unhappy cutomer (2/5): No Way - Had the worst experience with hotel staff. Harassment. Profiling. The front desk hung up on me twice. By far the worst hotel I've ever been to and I've traveled the 3rd world. Never experienced such unprofessional and deceptive people in my life. Hotel was meager at best. Homeless people roaming the halls. Would ever recommend.
- George (6/5): Convenient location and good price - This hotel needs a lot of work on the exterior. The landscaping is very overgrown, there are abandoned cars and boats all over the property, and piles of old and broken furniture everywhere. The inside of the hotel is acceptable. My room was clean. All of the furniture was mismatched and looked like it had come from a salvage store. The hotel was quiet at night. It is a good price and conveniently located to downtown Pueblo. I don't regret staying there but probably won't go back.
- Laura (2/5): Scary place to stay - Dirty. Old. Smelled of Urine.
This "hotel" is a permanent resident hotel. Destitute, and poverty-stricken. Charged more online than would have paid in local currency.
No where to hang clothes, no fridge, no mic, no blow dryer- not that you'd want to shower here.
- mrwalterblair63 (8/5): Clean Rooms & friendly staff - This is a old building like most buildings in Pueblo CO. They do have wifi and some cable they also have video surveillance for guest safety. So the location of the Hotel might not be best for some but, eatery's are near by with some that delivery. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful to travelers. What more do you want. Other guest are just that other guest. So mind your business and enjoy the scenic mountain views. That makes it a valued Stay. I hope this help, safe travels ev1
- Sandra (2/5): SorrIest customer service by hotel.com - I am furious the hotel said it was overbooked and it took two and a half hours to get the situation resolved to another hotel on hotels.com I am livid never ever have I ever been treated this way by anyone at least they could do is offered me a free night but did they no of course not I'm calling corporate in the morning I demand a free room after being treated this way in the middle of night
- 226belindag (6/5): Needs work - Stayed here for a night after a long drive with my family of 5. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What bring this place down is the cosmetic look. Room door are broken into. Front door is a board. It somewhat looks like an abandoned hotel from the inside. Our room was a bit better and didn't look as run down. Till we look at the broken window patches up with a board. The smell even though we had a non smoking room, smelled like smoke. By morning I was just ready to get up and leave. The look and smell by this point had me grossed out I didn't even want to shower. All night I slept with one eye open just hoping my car would be okay and not broken into by morning. Only reason this place got 3 stars was the staff and a decent room in comparison to the rest of this run down looking motel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - plywood over main door lobby a mess , old stuff from rooms all over courtyard , they were remolding but could have cleaned up old stuff from rooms not just throw it out the door
- Noah (4/5): Nice staff in a crumbling building. - I will start off by saying the staff were super helpful, kind, and professional. The environment was rather rundown, many of the windows were boarded up in next door rooms, the doors to the interior hallways had no locks, or even door handles, cars in the parking lot looked like they never moved (bagged over windows). Did not feel like a place you would want to ever think about staying at if you had a family with you. Not the worst place if you don't have a lot of money, or debt heavy college student. Was worried that my car was going to be broken into, did not seem like a very safe neighborhood. The room was clean, comfy bed, the tv worked, so if that is what matter to you, not too terrible.
- terioke1955 (2/5): Not very welcoming, - Not very welcoming, The room was not very clean, Very noisy! Cats running around the courtyard, Door to room was very loose, did not feel safe. Bed s not comfortable, carpets were spotted and dirty. We did not stay the two nights that we wanted because of the conditions!
- Magdalena (2/5): unsafe stay - bad experience book at last minute, clothes, mattress outside , drapes were ripped, stunk, don't know how people are there,
- Troy (2/5): Don't Stay - Worst motel to stay at in Pueblo. I'd rather stay at a motel on Lake Ave than stay here. The room had no lock on adjoining door, no working ac, a broken fan, and the police were there twice the day we stayed.
- Keith (8/5): Can't beat for price - Friendly staff, clean room, big bed, shower and tv that work. Coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator as well. Great for a night's stay after a long day on the road. Parking was easy. Will use again.
- Disgusted (2/5): Horrible hotel in rundown condition. - The hotel is run down looking and not maintained. Every room smells of smoke and they look like they were put together by a 3 year old. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They also stand by a rule of no refunds even though the living conditions represent poverty. The windows do not lock and have no screens. Anyone can just break into the room if they wanted. All hallways smell of urine and other odors. The hotel is right next to.the highway and has zero noise cancelling so you can hear all things outside and in nearby rooms. The price was not that appealing for the services offered. No breakfast but I wouldn't trust the cleanliness even if there was food.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Every Experience is Wonderful at this Place! - I've stayed at this hotel at least 1 a month for the past few months, and I would never even think about staying at any other hotel in town. The only reason anyone would have a problem here is if they started it. The women at the front desk are always a joy to speak with no matter when I'm checking in, and the woman that cleans the room is is not only trustworthy but is patient and very good at her job.
Thank You very much!
- Verified traveler (4/5): ValUnot - Hotel needs a makeover
- jacobf966 (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - We arrived at this hotel from our 13 hour drive, needed a place stay. We reserved the rooms through Hotels.com. When you pull up there are broke down vehicles, watercraft and such all of the place. The AC does not work, there were bullet holes in the glass of the front lobby. After reviewing the rooms they stunk like crazy, the doors would not close and lock all the way. People were starring at us while checking the rooms out, there were extended stay people staying in rooms that had trash all over the place. This is by far the worse hotel ever and doesnt even deserve a 1 star rating. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
- DuncanDonutAZ (2/5): Scary motel - All of Pueblo was sold out except for this place. Next time I will sleep in a parking lot and feel safer.
It smelled like a litter box because of the cat living at the front desk after a resident moved out and left it behind.
I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, convinced my trailer would be stolen, but was too afraid to leave my room and check.
on the plus side, I got an early start that day after departing at first light.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel should be closed down and demolished! - Hotel should be removed from a reputable site like Hotels.com. We booked our stay for a good price, unknowingly it was unsafe and a health hazard! First we were lied to about smell of cigarette smoke in lobby: was told it was from mountain fires; no coffee or breakfast because of process of remodeling? Where were the indications of any improvements? Parking lot: we feared for our lives as people were driving by staring at us like we we're prey. Walking to room: people also seen living there with grills outside patios, stains on walls, carpets and ceilings of Hallway!
Room: curtains had cigarette burns while barely attached to windows. Carpet: CIGARETTE burns, red stains. Walls: CIGARETTE BURNS AND STAINS. DOOR: DEADBOLT & LATCH WERE MISSING.
BATHROOM: Old yellow stained shower curtain, stained towel, hair left on floor and toilet. Bathroom door couldn't close and had screws sticking out of hinges.
If we weren't in need of accommodation we wouldn't have stayed. There was a no refund policy for our downgraded booking (two double beds for one queen ) not what we booked or payed for. We were exhausted so we kept our shoes on while in room, bathroom & shower. Used own blankets and looked thoroughly for bed bugs. Prayed we made it alive through the night and still had a car by morning. Left in morning and never looked back!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst ever. Would not recommend. Dirty, bombs hang - Hookers, bombs, the worst ever. I will never use your services again. You need to change your ads.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place - Even though I have a disability the people here treated me with respect and courtesy. Every stay here is always an enjoyable one. Thank You so much.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Less than satisfied - The hotel was very dirty. The hallway had trash on the floor. I didn't feel very safe and I only slept about 3 hours. The room itself was cleaner than the hotel but the bathroom was rough. The carpet had a huge red stain.
- roland (2/5): not what it seems - well here I go , last minute trip to a car show in pueblo , every thing was booked up or sold out, except value stay, had no other choice but to take a chance, and booked it. in my 37 years of vacations impromtu getaways, this is the 3rd dump I stay at, smelly room dirty carpet outdated the list goes on. Saturday came back to room, no bed made no clean towels , went to front desk to tell them they had missed our room ,now get this , she told me that they didn't provide that service, that you had to do it yourself, ok .later that night we were waken up by the police at 2.00 am questioning the person in the room next to ours. what a stay . well the car show was great. don't stay here.
- LovesMyPurpleHair (2/5): Stay the hell away!!! Don't do it !!! - I wouldn't send a cockroach to this place. I went to see some acquaintances of my friends and I was like OMG!! Who are your friends? Im outta here. You have to pay to stay here? They couldn't pay me to stay there!! I'm no saint, don't claim to be, I'm not above any body. I treat everyone the way I want to be treated. I also seen what all was going on and thought to myself whoaaaa, I'm out of here.
Ex President Clinton stayed there when it was a Ramada Inn years ago.
Back in the day it was a okay place to go for graduation parties, big birthday parties, etc..NOT NOW. .
FOR SEVERAL YEARS the place is well known around town as CRACK & METH CENTRAL. Unless you want robbed, beat up, mixed up in drug deals, shot at, Crack heads, meth heads in other words this is not the place to be or want to stay. I'm not being mean or nasty. Sadly I'm telling the truth. My biggest reason is I would feel horrible for anybody traveling, having no idea where they are, not knowing anything about the town, being stuck there because of exhaustion from traveling. I always tell the truth no matter what, but this place especially I wouldn't leave my dog there, let alone a cockroach, which also the place was infested with bed bugs, mice, cockroaches.
If you're traveling, keep on going. This is one place you will NOT want to stay, unless you're looking for drugs or trouble. If that's the case, you'll be going to the right place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): It was... - The carpets were stained and really nasty. Was only there for one night so decided to stay. No phone in the room. You get what you pay for.
- Lisa (2/5): Worst stay ever - The hotel room was disgusting. The carpet was still wet from the toilet over flowing from previous guests and they didn't vac the water out of the carpet the room smelled of mildew. The hotel staff is very rude and unprofessional . I'll never go to the value stay again .
- Luke (4/5): Very beatup but sheets appeared clean - This hotel was updated probably in the 80s and hasn't been touched since. It is VERY BEAT-UP and looked like a hotel rescue show. But the sheets appeared clean and the water pressure was very good and hot. The lady at the front desk was very nice despite being understaffed. Seriously thought this hotel was worn to death.
- Leslie (2/5): Hotel in town - Horrible seedy hotel. No clock, no plugs in sink or tub, no hangers, seedy, shabby, gross.
- Verified traveler (10/5): So Good Scheduling 12 more Stays - Staff is one of the best I've dealt with in 5+years, and the facilities and surrounding environment are great for walking around.
One of my best stays at a hotel Ever.
- john (6/5): - The stay was enjoyable everyone around was very helpful.
- valarie (10/5): nice stay - The staff and room was great very convenient to stores and shopping ,and restaurants
- Russell (6/5): Not Bad for The Price. - The Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean. over all the hotel is dated and needs refreshing. I stay when it was the Continental many years ago.
it was a Great stay.
- Crystal81052 (2/5): MOST HORRIFIC STAY OF OUR LIVES - Most the time we have the most wonderful experiences at hotels ... but unfortunately this last trip to Pueblo left us with a very sour taste in our mouths ... My name is Chris Crystal and I had a late check in at 1:15 am on the morning of July 5th following time with family and friends for the 4th of July. We opted not to drive 2 1/2 hours back home that early morning and chose to stay in Pueblo. While most hotels were already booked we tried one last hotel being the ValUStay Inn & Suites of Pueblo (2001 North Hudson Avenue, Pueblo, CO 81001; (719) 542-3750) before determining other options. Upon arrival at the hotel we found the lobby doors to be wide open, yet it took almost 20 minutes before the clerk arrived to assist with a check in. We were assigned room 208 with what was described as a Deluxe King in a NON-SMOKING room. (Guest #520505764)
Some webpages show a remodeled hotel with great features... But it was nothing short of a tragic nightmare. I will gladly send you or anyone the filthy pics ... just contact me. We arrived in the middle of the night approximately 12:50 am on the night of July 5th with check out on the morning of July 5th, set to stay a mere short period of time just to sleep and shower for the next days outings ... by the time we were able to gather our luggage and get to the room it was closer to a 1:45 am ... We had plans the next morning so we knew we would be checking out early... When we arrived up to the room we were horrified at the smell upon entrance however slightly understood that some was in part due to the smoke from fireworks ... However the room was completely unsecured. The sliding glass door had been left unlatched/unlocked and was partially open. The air conditioner was on to the point that it was frigid in the room. We were exhausted tired as our bedtime is a normal 9 pm so we didn't even bother unpacking and simply went straight to bed after locking the doors.
Upon awaking after our very short sleep we were HORRIFIED as to what we saw all around us. This room was DISGUSTING !!!!!! It was almost as if we had been checked into someone elses DIRTY FILTHY ROOM ... OMG it was the worst thing I had ever seen ... all the pictures I just sent you are from that room ... Housekeeping had clearly been in there and they marked the room as being CLEANED, which from the photos I have you can clearly see that it was not ... Crystal was immediately sick to her stomach about puked her guts up when she walked into the bathroom and seen all the MOLD and FECES splatter in the toilet, PUBIC HAIR in the bathtub, DARK BLACK HAIR in the shower, and dried nasal mucus (BOOGERS) on the hand towels. Crystal wouldn't even shower fully and when she did she showered with her flip flops on because she was so grossed out !!!!!!
We went back to the front desk & what do you know, the clerk doesn't know how to process a refund. Crystal personally showed her the pictures she had taken to address the issues. The clerk gave us a Post-it note with the name "Patti" and a phone number of (719) 289-8022 to call. We left our name and phone number for Patti to call us since we were told she does not arrive until midnight (12am) for work, however to date Patti has failed to return the call ... The clerk commented that she "didn't know what to because she was new" and clearly had not been trained properly to handle the situation.. We asked for the Corporate number for ValUStay and again the clerk did not have vital information to handle the request.
At this point we DO NOT want to ever step foot back on the premises of the ValUStay in Pueblo for a complimentary stay. We simply are demanding a full REFUND in the amount of $55.84 back to my credit card !!!!! Which is the least you can do after what we had to experience. This whole experience was awful .. Beyond words to describe it... I am still shocked at the lack of effort for them to try to contact me as a follow up... I want A CORPORATE MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT if not your CEO to call me and contact me directly... I have all these photos that your hotel needs and I would like an address to submit them to as well.
There were so many disturbing issues with the hotel rooms and also the way in which the matter was handled are also included below:
Mold in the bathroom and shower unit
Black mold and feces splatter in the toilet
Untidy bed
Dirty Coffee Pot with inadequate supplies
Dusty furniture & clothes racks
Smudges all over the windows & mirrors
Splatters all over the bathroom vanity mirror and hard water crustacean all over the sink area
Our room along with the entire 1st and 2nd floors reeked thickly of heavy cigarette smoke including in the non-smoking rooms
As I stated before, We were so grossed out and disturbed by the overall FILTH that I didn't even feel comfortable enough to take a shower the next morning as we prepared to leave the next morning. This hotel is not up to any standards of cleanliness or health codes.
Please respond accordingly once the refund is processed back to my credit card.
Respectfully,
Christopher & Crystal
- businessmman12 (2/5): Danielle sells and do drugs - I seen the lady at the front desk sells and does pills and drugs wish they will bring the old manager christina she did everything for everyone she always made sure we were safe and had a good stay if they want people to stay bring her back at least she kept it clean... Danielle just makes. It worst by selling and doing drugs with the guest
- 922vickiej (2/5): Mgmt.,plays favoritism for tenets that are social lights - WE have been here for over years and never had any complaints till we moved to this side of the motel and now we have had complaints almost every weekend and even some during the week they are saying we are making too much noise in some one is yelling. We have our times that we have our tiffs but we don't yell and scream and yell I have 2 dogs, and alot of times I am talking loud to get them to quit barking but that is about the only time, but yes there is once in a great while he will yell when he hurts himself. But we never just yell and fight and yell and fight. We are very quiet and keep to ourselves. They are cheep people don't want to fix anything right they just want to fix it cheep and easy. They don't give you anything with out charging you They say they offer free coffee not, they say they offer free breakfast, not. They charge an arm and a leg to do laundry and they don't even work that well it cost you so much to wash and dry. They don't want to even fix anything wrong in your room either. There are drug deals going on in the motel right out in the public. There is abuse on women going on in front of management and nothing is done about that either. All they wan't to do is pick on the people who doesn't socialise with them and that keep to them selves. They find things that they can pick at and go after them and leave the real problems alone. I don't understand at all.I would like to find out who the Owner is so I could talk to and let him know what is going on in his hotel. They didn't let us know that they were increasing the rent and when we went to pay rent one month it was $50 and the next month it was $650 I thought it was against the law to increase the rent that much with out notice and that high in one month. I would like to know who he is for that reason alone if not for the others that are going on here.
- ywile (2/5): Hotel that allows there employees carry guns. - I can't believe that the value stay allows an employee to carry a gun. This makes everyone uneasy.there are families living there. This is a no brainer....they do not need to intimidate people that way,
- serinap19 (4/5): this stay was a disaster - don't stay here I paid five hundred for two weeks didn't have all the channels the other rooms had.the air conditioner and heater didn't work so had to open up the Window for air and the phone in room don't work. I had stayed in another room prior to this visit the fridge was bigger and on this stay they didn't have enough plugs ins to have the fridge lamp and microwave plugged in at once had to put the fridge between the two beds preventing walk way and there is no continnental breakfast. also terrible room service they clean your room once a week only give you two towels for four people and when you ask for towels there never cleaned. so don't waste your money
- Customerreviewer1 (6/5): No phone or intrrnet in rooms like they said there is also pool is always closed. - No phone or wifi in rooms like they said there is on theyre advertisement also the pool was closed the whole time I was there and I only stayed there because I thought I could do my work online in my room and swim..
- justmem2014 (2/5): Disgusting! The nastiest, drugged out P.O.S place that I've ever been to. - Infested with all sorts of animals. Marijuana smoking in the hallway. Staff mistakenly gives a key to your room to a new tenant.
Had a great time walking naked out of my filthy bathroom to a male stranger sitting on my bed. Fleas, cats, rats, condoms in hallway.
Late night knocks from people looking for drugs or hookers. Or both.
- torib673 (8/5): they're remodeling! YAY! - the husband and i stayed here for a week. the whole time we were there the maintenance guys were working very hard to get the place back to the shape it was in years ago. It's trurning out VERY nicely. I was given a short tour and alot of the rooms are really nice. They also have new management. all the staff there are just GREAT. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 736victorial (8/5): NOT AS BAD AS EVERYONE SAYS! - It's an older hotel. People have to realize that it's no longer a Ramada. If you're expecting a great hotel then spend the money to go to a more "upscale" hotel. The rooms could use a massive remodel but it's better than staying out in the cold. The new management are very nice and they do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
- wheels781 (2/5): A very bad place - I lived here I seen people get there rooms and get robed even before they get in people has died there I don't know why it is still open. It use to be a beautiful motel. When the romada had it I would not recommend the valustay to any one it should be condemned and torn down
