Although it was an extra cost, I was able to use one of power points in the carpark to (slow) charge my electric vehicle. They should really promote this option, to EV owners, as it is at least an hour away from the nearest public charger.

They moved us to the road side, very noisy. Day 2 while resting in afternoon a stranger opened our door, he was given our room, showed the number on key, I rang reception to complain. Later that day our key stopped working despite booked and paid until the next day.
- julie (8/5): - Beautiful apartment very well situated we had a swim out which would be ideal in summer but as it was winter the pool was rather chilly. But there was a hot tub that was very pleasant. Great location for families large pool going right around or bottom level. How was the TV that was non-functional and a lounge that was set up when there was only two of us. Called reception and the lounge was sorted out within an hour or two but the TV was never sorted. Was offered a discount for a future. stay but we don’t intend on staying was also offered complimentary breakfast but we’d already checked out so that would’ve been nice to know of the complimentary breakfast before checking out. Was then told that they would contact head office and possibly get some sort of reduction in the cost that was six days ago not heard a single word. I’m don’t think that that would be coming.

Refused entry for buffet breakfast although there were 5 mins left until breakfast ends and still loads of food left. Such a waste. No notification that there would be no lunch menu over the Easter weekend until we arrived. Hardly any cutlery or glasses available at the restaurant and what was available was also dirty. Food was dry and not much choice. Dirty plates and cutlery in the apartment. Swimming pool tiles were coming away under our feet.

No friendly greeting or explaining any facilities other than what we were not allowed to do and the list was plenty or risk extra charges. The hallway to rooms is dirty and not maintained. All room doors need painting. The room was ok. Tiny tv out of the way. Shower leaked everywhere in the bathroom. Reading past reviews none of the suggestions have been actioned at all. The guy putting up the flag in the morning let it drag all over the ground which is disrespectful especially when you have a veteran watching this unfold. Pool was dirty. Considering this was a major long weekend I would expect more for the price it cost to stay.

- Eric (8/5): One night at the lagoons - This is a beautiful property with an outstanding pool and deck. Unfortunately by my observation, the property is being neglected in terms of maintenance. The mattresses are in need of replacement. (We were told all mattresses are 10 years old). Hallways and doors need to be repainted. Pool deck chairs need to be replaced. There is a whole host of things that need to be replaced or repaired. Otherwise, it is a comfortable stay for a reasonable price. 7/10

If the restaurant was a place that was better priced, better food and a chef that can fry an egg I highly recommend for a stay here, well I would still recommend just go offsite to eat. Would of been nice to have the pool bar open as well. We will be back just won’t eat there.

- merle (10/5): Lovely, comfortable resort - We had a great 3 days stay here in a ground floor with patio, close to the pool. We found it to be quite quiet even though it was over new years. The room was spacious, aircond, bed comfortable, with quite a large ensuite/Laundry. Particularly liked the sachets supplied for washing up and laundry. The only downer we found was the drain in the shower was quite gunked up therefore water could not get away fast enough. Good base to checkout 1770 and Agnes Waters. Reception Staff were very pleasant, would stay here again

- Shrey (6/5): 3 night stay. Better to AirBnb then stay here. - Check in time was 2pm. We reached at 2:30 and were told the room is not ready yet. Waited until 3:30pm and still nothing from reception so we ended up getting the room keys and told them we will wait in the room for the cleaning staff to finish. When we reached the room it was already ready don't know since how long. The reception obviously didn't bother to check other then looking at the screen. Room was good sized and clean except they didn't clean the fridge and there was some old seafood still present in the freezer from previous guests. After putting our luggage we came down to go to pool around 3:45 and reception was closed. Not a single staff visible for any help. No pool towels nothing. I understand it was boxing day but it's a resort and as guests paying $450 a night we expect some basic services. No internet and T.v didn't work either. Next day upon asking reception I was told the hotel is quite booked so internet wasn't available. Seriously??? Swimming pool and the area was quite nice but very poorly maintained. All the toiletries had to be asked for at the reception daily. Even the towels had to be asked for every day. Bathroom drainage wasn't the best so had to use towels to dry excess water every day. No one to take the rubbish either and had to empty ourselves. No sound proofing in the rooms. I guess it would be way better to AirBnb instead of staying here.

- Sally (6/5): - While the pool was the attraction for us, everything else promised was underwhelming. The property looks tired and in need of an update. There is little atmosphere, no pool bar as advertised. The pictures on the website and Wotif are certainly not the reality. While the rooms are clean and comfortable, the room was never serviced during our 5 night stay. We had to continually ask for supplies like fresh towels, tea bags, toilet paper etc. And the shower drain looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months - hair and soap scum covering the drain - eew! The resort’s only drawcard is the pool that is right at your doorstep. The Plantation Restaurant was a dead zone. The staff were even unenthused and looked like they wished they were somewhere else. I think this place stopped being a ‘resort’ a long time ago. It needs some investment to bring it back to its former glory.
- Kathy (8/5): - Quiet except for the water play fountain, it was near our room, no one was using it. Perhaps a button to push in for when people kids are using it. The room was clean and tidy, it had all the facilities required. The staff were friendly and polite. Thanks 😊
- Terry (8/5): Great Resort. Avoid the Restaurant - Resort was very good. Do not be tempted to dine at the restaurant. Whoops maybe that should be cafe. The food was actually good. The service was appalling. The cocktails were made from a book without a blender (terrible). Wait staff didn’t know one meal from another. There was a bar in the restaurant that was not in use for some reason to do with not paying. When you query the service or lack of the service deteriorates further.

- josephine (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay there at 1770 so much, it was my first time ever at a resort and will be doing so again in future. The room was huge, has everything in it to make your stay so much more comfortable and the spa on balcony is too die for 😊😘

No visitor information brochures Room was average, tired needs refurbishment Facility also shows its tired. Clear signs of maintenance required. Needs total lift IE: paint ( Nice bright mediterranean colours), repair new carpets .. bring some life into it
- Megan (6/5): - Apartment wasnt clean to an acceptable standard, made us feel gross. Bed was hard as rock. Person/cleaner in upper apartment threw a bucket of water? Over the balcony, almost hitting us while we were "trying" to relax. Noise from other guests was disturbing, squealing kid and could hear the people in upper level dragging their chairs across the floor, some sort of arguemet broke out around 1am on the first night we stayed. Mould in aircon, shower was feral. Thankful for my crocs as we were scared of catching something or growing an extra body part from the bacteria. Mouldy, chlorine, urine smell in room and hall way. Convenient location, friendly staff, has alot of potential. Shame its not well maintained and cleanliness isnt a priority.

- Wade (4/5): - The words "a luxury stay awaits you at 1770 lagoons resort" is laughable. The place is dirty, poorly maintained, and you now have to pay $50 extra to use your spa. Location is fine, however youde be best served staying anywhere else if you want anything near "luxury".

- Julie (8/5): Agnes Waters Friendly little town. - We had a great few days, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and supplied everything however it needs some renovations. It is a lovely spot however some needed renovations required and it would be rated a 5. Absolutely 5 for staff they were so friendly and friendly. The room needed new air-conditioner and just a little update. The pool access from our room was excellent made out stay enjoyable, just a few updated renovations it would be perfect. Everywhere we went to eat at Agnes Waters from the local coffee shop to the Tavern were so friendly. Little breakfast Gem Codie’s new the beach. We will be back to stay.

- Danielle (8/5): - Our room was a great size for 2 adults 1 toddler. It had everything we needed. Walking distance to the beach, or a 5 min drive to Agnes main area or 1770. Our room was spotless, no dust no mould or anything, would have to be one of the cleanest hotel rooms we have been in. Air con was great, and it was a great addition to have a private spa bath out side.

- Ian (10/5): Pleasant stay - This is a nice place to stay,whether you ar into swimming pools or not . Very reasonable price with everything needed supplied. We stayed in a garden view 1 bedroom apartment with an outdoor spa. Very enjoyable.
- Ian (10/5): - Had an absolutely beautiful stay at Lagoons recently. Albeit cold, so couldn't use the pool, we will be back in the summer time to utilise the lovely pool and amenities.

- Glen (10/5): - This is a great resort with amazing pool. Our room was very comfortable with a comfy bed and an outside courtyard to sit. Afternoon entertainment by the pool was good, close to 1770 beach and Agnes Waters. A bit noisy in the mornings when the cleaners were moving about.
- Larry (10/5): - We will be back!! Beautiful place. The only thing I could complain about is the plastic wine glasses, make them glass and it would have been perfect!!!
- Helen (8/5): - Good size studio with large courtyard. Buffet breakfast misleading. Unfortunately breakfast staff member hadn’t turned up so front desk person had to fill in. Coffee not drinkable so probably should have been complementary.
- Shiralee (8/5): - Great location with a short walk to the beach. I like the unique layout with apartments that have a private jetty to access the lagoon style pool at the centre of the resort. The Plantation restaurant was amazing, highly recommend.

- Victoria (6/5): Recent trip review - Experience was alright, booked for an exciting getaway with my partner for the first time in a while. Having driven 3 hours for the trip we were excited to relax in the spa bath on the balcony, Unfortunately, as soon as we turned the jets on the spa began to leak and popped off the wall. which was an extremely disappointing. After notifying staff they were fairly prompt with the service, giving us a complimentary glass of wine each and apologized for the experience. unfortunately, they couldn't change our room due to lack of spare rooms. All together the response from staff was good just unfortunate considering our drive and the main reason for our trip and booking to this resort was the spa bath and relaxing experience. For the money spent and travel it unfortunately wasn't worth it this trip.
