- Rachel (8/5): Nice Retreat - There was a bit of a hiccup with check-in. I did not read the extremely fine print on my booking information and did not realize I had to pre-arrange check-in with the property. Also, they did not e-mail me to ask when I would arrive as other properties have done, so we had to call and wade through a bit of a language barrier to check-in. The owners were very nice and hospitable and even provided us with a bottle of wine they make from grapes grown in their vineyards. The apartment would be great for a family that wants to visit the hills of Italy. The only downfall is that the apartment was extremely hot and the owners had taken the remote controls to the air conditioning out of the apartment, so we spent the night sweating and did not sleep very well at all.
