• Marc (10/5): We hadden geen beter plekje kunnen kiezen voor ons vader-dochter Hemelvaartsweekend in Marrakech. - Eigenaren Emanuele en zijn echtgenote zijn uitzonderlijk gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Evenals hun personeel. Op de uitkijk komen staan en persoonlijk contact opnemen als de riad door de taxichauffeur op aankomstdag even niet meteen gevonden kan worden, ongevraagd speciaal voor ons iemand om een lastige boodschap naar de souks sturen, een jas uitlenen uit de eigen garderobe, de kamer tot laat in de middag mogen blijven gebruiken op onze vertrekdag - het zijn allemaal zeker geen vanzelfsprekende zaken in een hotel en je voelt je er als gast extra welkom door. Eigenaren en personeel spreken Engels, Frans, Italiaans, Spaans, Arabisch, Russisch eventueel; een praatje tussendoor dat ook eens verder gaat dan over het weer - werkelijk een bijzonder aangename, persoonlijke stijl. En dan heb ik de afwerking, aankleding, inrichting van de binnentuin, de terrassen, de kamers nog niet genoemd. Of de kwaliteit en originaliteit van het dagelijkse overheerlijke ontbijt. Werkelijk niets. Maïpa is een ware oase van rust en sereniteit temidden van de chaos en de drukte van de medina. Als er dan toch één ding is dat ik hier moet opgeven, dan misschien het ontbreken van een algemeen toilet. De vijf prachtige kamers van de riad hebben ieder een toilet in de badkamer, maar soms is het fijn een algemeen toilet te hebben ergens in het gebouw. Dat is er ook wel, maar het komt op de gast over als het personeelstoilet. Absoluut niet bezwaarlijk en - nogmaals - allerminst een minpunt, maar je voelt je als gast een beetje een indringer als je er gebruik van maakt. Tegelijkertijd: het gebouw is zo mooi en met gevoel voor autenticiteit en stijl gerestaureerd en gerenoveerd, dat het technisch waarschijnlijk lastig zou zijn nu nog ergens een (groter) apart gastentoilet te maken: er zou iets moois voor moeten worden opgeofferd. Dus: alle begrip!

Breakfast was extremely generous, the staff attentive and kind. We were upgraded to the terrace suite and the room was stunning. Thank you so much. The location is also excellent.

Their staff is superb; their food - breakfast, teas, and dinner - best we had. The terrace is fantastic place to take an afternoon off contemplating. And most of all this couple are professionally trained hoteliers with experience across countries- citizens of the world with a hospitality mindset that is one of the best I have experienced amongst 62 countries I have visited my only concern was the fact that you had to fight the crowds on Derby Debachi to get to this oasis; but what choice if you want to experience the Medina in its fullest and what better way to relax at end of day

Everything is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail, and the traditional atmosphere is beautifully preserved. It feels very cozy and welcoming. The breakfast was beautifully served and made with fresh local organic products. The location is also very central, which made everything even more convenient. Our hosts, Liliya and her husband were incredibly kind and helped us organize our activities.

From beginning to end our stay was perfect. The room is beautiful and clean. We had set up a dinner for our first night in the riad, as we were arriving after dark, and our 3 course meal was one of the best we had. The owners of this property are some of the most hospitable hotel staff we have come across. It is clear to see they not only passionate about delivering exceptional service, but also have a great love for Marrakesh. There was nothing negative to say about this property. Just note its entrance is not reachable by car, as MOST properties in the heart of the medina are not. So i would not say this is a negative just something to keep in mind. The owners of the riad were kind enough to escort my husband and I with our luggage from our car transfer to the Riad in the pouring rain.

Liliya is an absolutely brilliant host and very knowledgeable. Fatima's breakfast were to die for. Both Nicola and I absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anybody. We particularly like that is in the middle of where it's all happening.

Il riad è curato in ogni minimo dettaglio: camere splendide, pulizia impeccabile, silenzio assoluto e una terrazza meravigliosa dove rilassarsi dopo una giornata nella medina. Ma ciò che rende davvero speciale il Riad Maipa sono le persone. Un ringraziamento di cuore a Emanuele e Liliya: due padroni di casa straordinari. Sempre presenti, gentili, disponibili e attenti ad ogni esigenza, ci hanno fatto sentire non semplicemente ospiti, ma amici. The breakfast spread and the Moroccan dinner they can provide was lovely and they were very accommodating with both of our dietary requirements. It was a great convenient location in the old town. There was barely anything we didn't like, the only thing was my partner hit his head a number of times on the low doors, so just something to watch out for if you're also tall!

• Sandra (10/5): Luxurious Tranquility amongst the chaos - We stayed 5 days here, and what a wonderful experience, the Riad was a haven of tranquility and easy to find ( a few minutes walk from the main square). We arranged a taxi through Emmanuel to collect us from the airport, which we would recommend especially if it’s your first trip to Marrakesh, which takes you to the door, then after that it’s easy to navigate around the medina. The Maipa is so elegant, our suite was amazing, the bed super comfy, with quality linen, we slept 12 hours the first night, it was so peaceful. The traditional breakfast was fresh and delicious, great coffee and juices with breads cheeses and fruit, a great way to start the day. We arrived supper unorganised with no plans and Emmanuel was fantastic in helping us out with dinner reservations, hammam spa recommendations and really great tips, thank you so much for that. We really cannot recommend this place enough, if you you want a luxurious Riad experience with all the traditional details then this is your place . Nothing, it was superb

Le personnel est aussi très à l'écoute. Ils ont un sens du service exceptionnel. Merci à tous pour ce merveilleux séjour. Tout petit bémol concernant la dureté du lit . Trop dure pour nous .
• Breda (10/5): Beautiful Raid in an oasis of calm with wonderful service - This Riad is so beautiful decorate. Lots of places to have a chilled out cold drink or mint tea. Especially with it location it’s like stepping in to a whole different world from the busy streets. The staff have a wonderful touch to the smallest detail and the wonderful hosts made our stay feel like we were guest in their home. Considering it just of a busy street and a few minutes walk from the square it was so quiet, you would never know the madness was just outside. Loved the breakfast every morning. Nothing, we loved our stay.

• Melanie (8/5): Beautiful, well looked after but quite dark! - Calm away from the storm that is Marrakesh outside!! Very peaceful and tranquil. Beautiful decor, fantastic and very helpful hosts. Delicious breakfast and lovely roof terrace. Very dark bedroom with no windows apart from those onto the internal courtyard. Ours was a ground floor room so had very little natural light at all.

• Daniel (10/5): Perfect oasis in the heart of the Medina. - Absolutely everything. Emmanuelle and Liliya are masters of hospitality and were incredibly welcoming for our whole trip. From excellent recommendations in Marrakesh to arranging an excellent day trip in the atlas mountains for us they were incredible. The breakfast every morning was amazing and we made sure to make reservations for dinner at the riad one night that was one of the best we had in the city. We absolutely loved this oasis in Marrakesh. Nothing at all. We can't think of anything wrong with our trip.

Unfortunately no alcohol as we would really have liked to spend more time at the hotel. Nothing the owners can do about it.

En moet je eerder weg of op excursie dan staat de koffie / thee met een ontbijt box klaar. Het gehele team is ontzettend vriendelijk en bereid je te assisteren in alles. Het Riad ademt rust uit. Na een dag in de drukte van de stad kan je heerlijk bijkomen in de whirlpool, op een heerlijk bed op het dakterras, de binnentuin of je kamer. Emanuele en Liliyx zorgen dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Van pantoffels, gebakjes, verse thee, heel veel goede tips voor bezichtigingen in de stad om te bezoeken tot de beste lunch en diner locaties. niks

This hidden gem in the heart of the Medina deserves nothing less than a perfect 10/10. The staff (Liliya, Emmanuel, Younes & Ibrahim) were exceptional — genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. I can’t wait to return.

Their hospitality was 5 star. Very professional with many good recommendations for one’s time in the city. The plunge pool on the roof was a lovely treat after dusty days walking through the city. Best of all, the owners and hosts are “off the charts” kind, welcoming and full of great tips and recommendations.

• Stuart (10/5): I would highly recommend Marrakech for a weekend visit, an experience we will never forget, and no better place to stay - It was a little oasis, despite being in the middle of the hustle and bustle ouside, once you step through the door you enter a calming peaceful place. The breakfast is amazing by the way, and sets you up perfectly for a busy day sightseeing. Highly recommended ***** The was nothing that we didn’t like, the property has everything you need to unwind after a busy day visiting the sites and getting lost in the Souks 😁
• James (9/5): Comfortable, clean, welcoming, quiet. Everything you need for your trip to Marrakech - The staff and hospitality were by far the greatest aspect of staying here. They simply couldn't do enough for you and gave you the recommendations and information you needed for a wholesome trip. Broheim was particularly helpful and also used the opportunity to give us some history and local language lessons. I didn't like leaving. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a small swimming pool or larger jacuzzi, and if possible alcohol at the riad would have been a nice addition.

They are fantastic hosts and the staff is very friendly. The Riad itself is very well decorated , with great attention to details.and in an amazing location in the heart of the Medina. A peaceful heaven! The pool is a bit on the small side, but still provided good opportunities to cool down.

They have put so much thought into the renovation of the Riad and the experience for their guests. Every little touch was perfect down to purified water in the room, avoiding plastic bottles! The breakfast was excellent, as was the booked evening menu, which I would recommend arranging for one night. The staff were delightful and attentive! This is an oasis in the centre of the Medina that you shouldn't miss. I cannot find anything I didn't like.

The beautiful couple who own this property are so helpful and kind. That we didn’t make reservations for an in-house dinner. The breakfast was fresh and a great variety of food. Personal service, we felt like royalty.

The Riad has been refurbished and is maintained to a very high standard. It is well located in the Medina, breakfast was excellent. Overall one of the best places we have stayed in. We didn't find the bed to be very comfortable.

They go out of their way to make your stay at the riad as well as your visit to Marrakesh pleasant and beautiful. Their recommendations like where to eat out, which hammam spa to go and which all café’s to visit were really on point. Liliya (host) really helped us a lot and would definitely recommend the place! Thanks Riad Maipa for making our first time in Marrakesh memorable!

• Christiane (10/5): Like in a tale from the Thousand and One Nights - My daughter and me just spent 5 wonderful nights at the Riad Maïpa and absolutely loved it! The big room looked very authentic and was well-decorated and spotless clean. Our hosts, Liliya and Emanuele, an Italien couple, were very kind and warm and helpfull all the time. For example they organised the pick-up from the airport, a private tour guide for the first day, some restaurant reservation and more. You should definitely not miss at least one dinner at Maïpa. We enjoyed it on the arrival day- it was splendid and generous and set high standards for later dinners in the Medina. The location of the Riad is perfect; indeed only 5 minutes to walk to the buzzling big place Jemaa el Fna. Although the markets are all around it was absolutely safe all the time also for two women! There would be much more to mention like the wonderful terrace at a roof-top, the overwhelming breakfast every morning or the very nice team (Brahim, Youness, Fatima and one other young woman) - everything deserved a « 10 out of 10». We felt at home and do hope to return some time.

• Nick (10/5): Lovely traditional riad with incredible staff - Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and very knowledgable about the local area with some great recommendations. The riad was very clean and beautifully decorated. Large traditional breakfast well presented every morning, you won't leave hungry. Evening meal service available with 48 hours notice to source fresh produce & marinate was also very good. Good location a 5 minute walk from the main square when it's quiet, however may take 10-15 minutes during busy times as the street outside can be very slow moving. Once in the riad however it is very peaceful and hard to imagine it's so busy outside.
• Lynne (10/5): A calm, beautiful oasis in the heart of Marrakesh - The online photos and the reality were absolutely spot on, a very comfortable oasis in the midst of the chaos of a bustling city. Every detail was perfect, modern with Moroccan authenticity, a spacious room with use of the whole of the Riad, including two sun terraces, ample places to unwind and relax. Our hosts and all the staff were so welcoming and thoughtful, from the first welcoming mint tea to the last, and even a beautiful personal gift and birthday macaroon…cannot fault them. It’s hard to think of a negative, but at a push, the birds sang a little too early before sunrise 😁

The staff was very nice and very professional. The owners of this Riad were very helpful in organizing our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by their recommendations - everything exceeded our expectations. We felt very well looked after and the owners organized our stay so well that in a few days we fell in love with this place and Marrakech. We will definitely go back there!

• Oštir (10/5): A hidden gem with incredible hosts and stunning interior - The most beautiful accommodation we have ever visited, with gorgeous interior, amazing food, and sustainable management, is topped off with incredible hosts and staff who go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. We would highly recommend it—especially the rooftop suite, where my mom and I stayed for a week and fell in love with it.
