The beds however, terribly uncomfortable & was rough after hiking all day. Boyfriend loved the jacuzzi tub & fireplace was enjoyable.

- Jaclyn (4/5): - Very outdated and smelled of cigarette smoke inside the house, even though smoking is not permitted inside. Furniture was ripped with cigarette holes. Also toilet in the one bathroom very wobbly unsafe to sit and use. The grounds are not well maintained we had a rotting tire in the walk area. I’m sure this place was gorgeous when it first open, but whoever owns it know does not do well in the up keep of the property or the house that are dilapidated and rotting.

You go for the beauty of the surrounding nature and the serenity. The amount of space you get for the price is shocking. I would hands down come back and recommend to others.

I don’t like that no one answer the phone when u have to ask a question. The wifi worked great but bring a firestick but overall I had a great time!
- James (6/5): - The people in the office were absolutely great to deal with. What’s the property was very dirty and full of spiderwebs inside the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. It was fine to just sleep in it, but there were a few spiders and bugs understandable for being in the woods, it did not appear that the property had been used in a while, it definitely needed some updating but a really cool property. I just hope they put some work in it before my Next stay It has a lot of potential if they do anything with it

- Nicole (2/5): - This property needs to be updated things are broken and or falling apart we had a villa that roof leaked when it rained, the stove partially worked, the closet doors were broken, ice cream was left in the freezer from previous renters, when it was time to dispose of the garbage and recycling the recycling bin was locked so you had leave it on the ground and the garbage had not been dumped so you had to leave it on top or on the ground next to the unemptied bin. Also the sliding doors in the villa did not work in the kitchen or the bedroom, sewerage had to be plunged in the toilet since it had backed up. The television in the bedroom is old and there is only one in the living area that can be used for updated entertainment like Netflix. Nice location but updates are seriously needed.
- Ronald A (6/5): Deserted and outdated. Limited staff support. - This place is deserted, run down, and outdated. Received room and instructions from answering service. Lady tried to be helpful. Office staff was available next morning after I arrived the night before. Then left minutes after completing my check in. Recreation center with games and pool was locked. No one was available to come and open. Villa was outdated, with older furniture and fixtures. Newer faucets on sinks. Other than signs of not being used in a while, the villa seemed clean, with some repairs on steps leading up to front door. Hot water, A/C, electricity, and TV's worked. Would not recommend, and Hotels.com and other travel assistance sites should not offer this destination because it makes them look bad, and unreliable info source.

- Jennifer (4/5): - Property is very old and needs updated. The light outside didn’t work, which made going up and down the stairs to get in in the dark not fun. The kitchen was semi clean. There was spaghetti sauce splattered on the stove. The fridge was very clean. Sink was nice and had a garbage disposal. The dining room was average. Had a big table not much room to walk around the table though. The living room was ok. The couch and chair looked like they had been cleaned. However they were old. When you sat down on them you basically sunk right in and almost got stuck. There were 2 fairly new tv’s. The 1 in the living room had no sound for most of our stay. The sound didn’t work. Then worked for a bit and then wouldn’t work again. The tv in the master bedroom seemed to work fine. The mattresses on all the beds were extremely old. They were hard and not comfortable at all. I work up the first morning with a headache. There was Roku on the tv in the bedroom. However the Wireless connection was very poor and so the Roku couldn’t connect and wouldn’t work. They shouldn’t advertise that the villa has Wireless internet when the connection is so bad it doesn’t even work. The bathrooms are in dire need of renovations. There’s what appears to be mold around the shower. The other bathroom had a large jet tub, but didn’t look clean at all. Throughout the place there’s paint & wallpaper peeling. It’s sad because you can tell at one point the place must have been nice.

The sliding doors were dirty you could not even look out of them to enjoy the view and they did not lock. The wallpaper was peeling and the backs to the remote controls were all missing. I will never visit this place again.

We loved just watching the birds, had a few deer visitors, walked around the lake, it was very lovely 100% will be going back !

- Sheena (6/5): Smell and outdated - The property smelled so bad we had to buy lysol wipes and glade plug ins. The queen bed had grass and womens hair on the bed sheets. Very outdated. The pictures show ping pong tables, there are none. Shows game room none of the games are plugged in. The property appears abandoned. They do provide towels at the pool.
- Christine (8/5): - The property is cheap and cheerful. If you’re looking for a quiet, private house on the lake, this is a great place. It’s got a lot of wear and tear. It’s not fancy or well maintained. That being said, there’s nothing better than sitting on the balcony enjoying the quiet and the view. The deer are so tame they literally ate out of my daughter’s hand. My kids have fun in the lake and the pool. There’s not much else to do but that was just fine with us. Getting away and unplugged was just what we needed.
- Jennifer (10/5): - I went with my children for a girls weekend, we had a wonderful time. Bushkill falls was very close and lots to do there. The indoor pool at the resort was clean and fun. The villa itself was well worth the money and we didn't need to bring anything ( linens, dishes etc..) except groceries. We all had an enjoyable weekend. We will definitely be returning.
- Charles (10/5): Best value in the area - Extremely comfortable, excellent lakefront property, great view and great value! Are the houses old? Yes! Are they cosmetically imperfect? Yes! These houses are 35% of the price of Shawnee and other surrounding pocono house rentals however our house was perfectly clean and comfortable for our weekend trip. 100% will be coming back.

- PATRICIA (8/5): Satisfactory - Our stay overall was pleasant but would like to point out a few items for improvement. The check-in process would have been seamless if the key provided worked. The website stated check-in until 9 pm but no one was present. The property path lighting was lacking and missing in key areas. The kitchen in our unit was missing some essential items i.e. can opener, pyrex ware, and baking pans. The property needs some upkeep.

- Michael (4/5): Antiquated Time Share Village Rental - Self Check in is a tad cumbersome but works. Outside area of the ‘chalet’ (laughable) was messy, trash (beer bottles plastic water bottles, snack packaging ) was not picked up. Inside was ok. Sofa is a disaster springs on furniture are completely shot, you sink in and have a struggle getting out. Stainless steel/chrome cookware that is several years old . Electric stove that saw it’s better days last century. The ownership does not expect /want you to eat meals in. Nothing in any of these units show any sign of bare renovation or upgrading. It is a small wonder that as a time share business they are now advertising on rental sites. Some structural renovations to keep decades old wooden porches from failing and causing injury have taken place. Obviously three ounces of routine preventative maintenance to prolong the life have never been considered. Ice trays in the 80’s era fridge are brittle and leaky. You will see deer, turkeys during your stay. Bring your own corkscrew as the one provided is a dull joke. This property is 10-20 minutes driving from any kind of grocery store or eating establishment so there is little in the way of a convenient store nearby. Heated swimming pool is a plus the ‘Rex center’ is about the only good thing this time share village has going for it

- ang (2/5): - Arrived late and the operated didn’t have our reservation but gave a key anyway. We walk up the stairs to the house and it’s completely covered in spider webs. We get inside and I use the bathroom. The fort doesn’t close and there is a cockroach on the door. Go to the kitchen to unpack and 3 bigger cockroaches run across the counter!

The beds were fairly hard and basic but the feel of the place was so relaxing, so quiet and so far away from the bustle of the city it was the perfect place for the weekend for us. Just a short drive to Bushkill Falls which was an amazing place to visit to get away from the city as well.
- Darlene (6/5): Could be better - People were nice. Place was run down. Moths dead on the floor when we got there. I had to clean the place first. Beds were horrible! They were so hard my whole family woke up with a sore back. The cabinet doors in the kitchen were falling off. The air conditioner quit working and it took us 3 phone calls to finally get someone there to fix it.

The outside of the building needed maintenance and the grounds needed attention. Things seemed to be falling apart.

When In fact, not only did I take out the trash but I also swept, mopped and did the dishes. When I reached out for my refund, they took entirely too long to get back to me. Sarah was disrespectful and referred to me as “You people” claiming they had a photo of trash which they would not send me the proof of this false claim. When I spoke to Stephanie, her manager, she doubled down on not refunding my deposit and told me to call my bank for a refund. These people are running a scam, I was better off staying at the Holiday Inn.

Great space in size, very run down, ants in kitchen, shower valve not working, looked like mold on wall near fireplace, main patio door didn't function, had to be lifted to open or close

I appreciate that they keep the houses warm. Bathrooms and furniture were old , but everything was working well. It was 15 minutes drive to Shawnee ski area, there are restaurants and grocery stores close by. I think it was a pretty good deal , especially for the price.

- Rawle (4/5): no words.. - They seem to have a mice issue which is a health hazard thankfully it was just 2 nights , they moved us from one villa that there was mice droppings in the kitchen draws . Moved us to villa with mice droppings under the sink , I don't understand why they wouldn't have the place exterminated so guest would be comfortable. I hate leaving bad reviews but that's a health hazard I can't get over
- Brenda (2/5): - The property had a bad smell inside the blankets on the bedding‘s and they smelled the pillows hi yellow stain rings around the pillowcase and they just had a pillowcase over it it was disgusting it was freezing we stayed there five days four nights we froze the whole time was there we were very unhappy disappointed beautiful scenery but the property needs upgrading it needs better housekeeping and maintenance curtains with dirty with yellow stains sofas in the living room they had stains on them that we put a blanket over the sofa after we wash the blanket to be able to sit on the sofa they really need to upgrade the furniture . And the heating system because it’s very disappointing going to go to get away for a few days and you freeze in the place me and my fiancé and The Rock I’m getting headaches and we ended up getting a really bad cold from the four nights that we stood there everybody needs an improvement we are very dissatisfied but I will stay .It was a nightmare we called in for the heat cycle be repaired and they came the next day they Send the maintenance guy and the maintenance guy checked and told us he was going to see of HVAC heating and AC to come out and check it and they never came out and we froze the night the next day we called again they came they came out like four hours five hours later to jump the heat an HVAC person and said it was good it will be all right and we woke up the next day frozen to 73° it was really cold in the place .would not recomand
- Christian (8/5): We made the best of it - The villa we stayed in was outdated, but cozy. The property lacked many amenities but those ones that were there were sufficient. The staff was not very friendly or responsive to inquiries. We had a good time, but would likely not return

- Yamilette (10/5): - Beautiful for a weekend getaway with the family. My kids loved the amount of space and the scenery especially when it started snowing.
- Jenny (6/5): Concerning - The view was beautiful however the upkeep of the chalet was not that great. Dishes had to be rewashed, stove top had to be cleaned, the tv wasn’t working properly, deck sliding doors wouldn’t lock, food was left in freezer from previous guests, front door’s lock wasn’t secure and there were several leaks coming from the roof.

- Charles (6/5): - The property was in a very nice location. scenic, quiet, and the home spacious. 9 Deere literally came right up under the small balcony while we were sitting out. Frustration with the management as they were not there to issue keys when we arrived (even though it was during business hours). Then they called the next evening angry that we didnt stop back to sign papers. there were stains on the bedspreads and the place needed painting and some TLC, but otherwise clean. Had the management not been difficult and the bedspread stained i would have rated this place very high.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Sad, run-down property in a beautiful location - This is a time-share property that has seen better days. I was impressed by the overall ratings and the price, but then when I saw some other ratings elsewhere I almost rebooked and I wished I had. The check-in was odd. There is supposedly a 2 hour window (7-9 pm). We arrived at 8 and no one was there. Another couple and our family called a phone outside and were told to call back in 5 minutes. Then, we got a combination to get our unit # and key. Using a map, we had to find our unit in a rather dark and not well-labeled area. While the unit was clean, it was so worn down and so dated that it felt gross. The carpet was thread bare in many areas, the wall paper was peeling, and there were stains on the ceiling. The beds were very old and hard. There were two working TVs, but as stated, no internet in the units. It is sad that it is so run-down because the overall land is beautiful. We had a family of deer come right up to our deck. We also went to the Rec Center in the morning (since there wasn't time after check-in). The pool and workout room did look nice, but the rest was dated and not well-maintained. We played the 9 hole mini-golf course, but many of the holes had the carpet peeling and ripped. It seemed like a great deal, but it was too run down to feel comfortable. Thankfully, we had only booked 1 night because we would not have stayed another night. Maybe other units are better maintained, but I would NOT take the chance.
