Guest Reviews
- Shirley (9/5): - Very clean. Small but used space very well. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast food available by 8:00 in the morning. Not replenished after workers left. Workers staying there slammed doors at 6:00 in the morning.
- Shannon (10/5): Very Pleasant Stay, Despite A Fall - The room was very clean. I was able to request a bottom floor room without any issues. I was very thankful for that. I can't maneuver stairs very well, so it was wonderful that they were able to accommodate me. There was great communication from management before I arrived due to having some possible issues, such as arriving early. They were happy to accommodate me with that as well but I ended up running late, so I didn't have to bother with that part but regardless, they were happy to help me out with my special requests and as I stated, the communication was superb. I had a pretty bad fall in the room due to the chair at the desk apparently having something wrong with it. I went to sit down and the front part of the seat kicked down, which then caused it to shoot out from underneath me. I ended up hitting the hard floor with quite a bit of force and I didn't sleep well at all due to the pain I was in and I'm still in a lot of pain due to the fall. I didn't touch the chair after this, so I didn't look at it to find out what made it do what it did.
I wish the pillows were a bit stiffer because even with two under my head, they were so thin, it was like I had only one. It wouldn't have mattered if I would have remembered to bring a pillow of my own which I usually do but alas, I forgot this time around, so that's on me.
My friend went up to see about breakfast and he said there wasn't much at all available, even though he went up early. The orange juice dispenser apparently wasn't working, which was a bummer for him because he loves OJ. He was disappointed but it didn't make the stay bad overall.
- austin (7/5): -
- Iversen hieronimus (10/5): -
- Rodney (9/5): - Easy check in and friendly staff very helpful The snow
- K Hashem (6/5): An affordable place to catch some sleep. Keep expectations low. - The location was good for our trip back home to northern Minnesota. Right off I 35 and at the end of a 10 hour drive.
The beds were comfortable, the heat worked, there was no bad smell and it cost under $100 a night. The room was very cold when we finally found it. The room numbering system made absolutely no sense. I could find half a dozen less confusing ways to label room numbers.
The bathroom sink was designed to make giant puddles on the countertop, and the entire room desperately needed a deep clean. The bathroom corners were grubby.
We didn't shower, but only because we were too tired and only 3 hours from home. There was nothing obviously wrong with the shower.
- Jason (1/5): - Nothing Everything basically dirty dirty place outlets are melting place is disgusting
- Rodney (10/5): - Friendly staff easy check in and close to everything They could use better pillows
- ramirez (3/5): -
- austin (9/5): Great - Price , comfort , Heater seemed to not be working correct , showers didn’t work well in one room but she switched me :)?
- Loune (6/5): Functional motel at reasonable price. - Basic motel that was functional and clean (minus floor) Floor is dirtier than I like that picks up dirt with dry white towel. Breakfast is very basic and usually skip it with terrible coffee and juice.
- Frank (7/5): A well used budget Hotel for a good short term stay - Internet was good , stable and fast. Bed was OK, The room style was very mixed, the AC quite noisy, and the TV quite small
- Jody (10/5): Comfortable, affordable and community oriented - This is a family owned small hotel with excellent staff. Good, clean no-frills accommodations. I stay here every time I’m in town on business.
- Celena (10/5): -
- Edward (8/5): -
- Kurt (7/5): If you’re wanting a clean and inexpensive night off the road, this is a good choice. - Very clean. Nicer than expected for a $54 hotel room. You can tell they are working to spruce it up. O e person desk staff was very efficient and capable.
- Lickiss (5/5): -
- Austin (8/5): - Price , comfort Driveway is covered in snow ,
- Austin (8/5): - No laundry service
- Bill (9/5): They even provided me an outlet to plug in my semi - Clean and friendly Nothing

- Heather (6/5): It was worth what I paid - The room was clean, staff was amazing The breakfast was not really there
- Jody (10/5): Perfectly served my purpose - Clean and safe, staff is friendly and helpful. Important to note this is a highway junction, a tiny little town with little to no tourism. It has a vintage motor lodge feel and prices are great.
- Scott (2/5): - The room and everything in it was filthy. Not really really dirty; but FILTHY! The air conditioner only conditioned the air to be filthy as well. I didn’t just smell the bad air; I tasted it. It was disgusting. The only reason I didn’t leave was EVERYBODY else was booked and it was nearly midnight and I was exhausted from the heat!
- Linda (8/5): For my purposes it was great. Clean and comfortable, well taken care of. -
- Ruth (6/5): - It was clean
- Aaron (10/5): - Nice
- don (4/5): - I was not impressed
- Justin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Heather (5/5): Passable - The room was clean and comfortable The people in the surrounding rooms were very loud and disrespectful and nothing was done when it was pointed out... people yelling in the halls and doors slamming off and on all night and the halls and room smelled like weed
- lindsay (4/5): - smelled like pot & black and milds through out. terribly cold in the hall ways. breakfast was a used gallon of milk and a box of cereal.
- Cortez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (2/5): - Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were old and flat
- Joi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (7/5): Good -
- Karl (8/5): - Old property with nicely upgraded fixtures and pleasant floor lighting. Pretty basic breakfast. Clean.
- Lisa (1/5): Homeless camp bonfire at side entrance - This place is so shady. There were people sitting with a bonfire going by the side entrance. When I said something at check in the clerk did not seem bothered 😕? The whole place smells like weed. Disgusting rooms, although kuddos for the nice bathroom. If they could update the rest of the place to match. The towels were like sandpaper. We had our new truck and SMC trailer on and did not feel safe leaving them in the parking lot. There were shady people all around. We got the bare minimum sleep of 3 hrs and were out of there. Stay at own risk.
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Alexander (1/5): Bad - There was something living in the walls. the room was clean but half painted. it suck badly
- Cristina (10/5): - Nice room, great price and location. The only suggestion I have is that the floor needs a good mopping.
- Cummings (3/5): Poor -
- Amber (7/5): A cozy accommodating place to stay - Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping is excellent at offering services through out your stay without being disruptive.
Upgrades that are being made are closer to the “luxery “ Mark with LED and heated mirrors, waterfall faucets, etc.
Evening hours are quiet. The water/hot water could use some work, maintenance was attentive to this complaint however.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Hotel - The whole place smelled of old stale smoke. The bathroom and tub in particular were disgusting. I checked out a day early and they would issue a refund for the second night.
- Angi (7/5): Decent stay for a good price - Bed was comfy, everything was quiet. Good value for the money I paid. The faucet looks modern but floods the whole sink. Sometimes less is more! Some lights were not working, room could have been a bit more cleaner. All in all, decent stay for a good price though!
- Kevin (10/5): Well when I arrived i wanted a room on the first floor but t, so i spoke too the - I didn't eat breakfast. But it's a nice place right off the highway, and the staff is so nice. I really appreciate how nice they are to customers. What could of been better? Um..well if I was able to stay a few more days, that would of been better. Or get the room for free..those are the only things I can think of t make my trip and experience at the hotel better.
- Amy (6/5): It was as expected for the price I paid - It was clean no bed bugs which is a plus. It needs a lot of updating and maintenance needs to be better. The light bulb inside the hallway was not just burned out but look to be missing.
- Phillips (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable at decent price.
- Tim (5/5): Passable -
- Terri (6/5): - First night the room was cold, had to get extra blankets. Room and bed were comfortable other than that.
Second night was in a different room. Lights and plugins did not work, holes in the wall where a picture was suppose to be. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were very old in both rooms. But for the price can't really expect more than what it is.
- Britany (10/5): - Fantastic and fabulous.
- Moreno (8/5): Very good - It was conveniently located next to stores and restaurants Wifi was a bit finicky
- Amy (7/5): Good - It was good for the value and was clean The light outside the room was burnt out it look like there was no light bulb. Also the rooms need to be updated.
- Victor (2/5): - I did like the layout of the room and staff was nice but there was roaches in the room
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Britany (10/5): - Thanks for the easy stay
- Schumann (10/5): Worked great for what I needed. - Breakfast was very scarce but the room is comfortable and very adequate for what I needed. Breakfast could have been better, it was just toast and mini muffins with juice or coffee. No milk and no tea
- Verified traveler (8/5): - For those on a strict budget this place is a nice choice in Owatonna.
Family business Owner is professional, courteous & onsite daily. It’s safe to stay here.
Clean bed & bedding.
The bathroom remodeled & you get very hot water & good water pressure.
Room equipped w/ large flat panel TV, fridge & microwave.
Coffee, juice & a few pkg’d mini muffin pkgs on offer in AM.
Bath towels are toddler-sized for lack of better description. Will work for most solo travelers & housekeeping stops by daily if you want fresh ones.
- Heather (10/5): - The room was great...only juice offered for breakfast so disappointed with that but overall a great stay
- Chris (8/5): - Was a nice place but bed for use was little hard
- Teresa (10/5): - Good Services
- Youba (8/5): - Good
- Linda (6/5): - If people are staying for two nights, there should be bath wash cloths for two nights. The motel is noisy. The dresser in our room was broken. The room was very clean and had been updated.
- Raymond (8/5): - Clean hotel, my room was quiet. It did was it was supposed to do
- Roger (10/5): - Very nice Hotel comparable with most big names. Thank you.
- Kristine (10/5): It was a wonderful stay! - Location was good. Good coffee! Nothing it was great!
- Skovly (10/5): Exceptional -
- wade (10/5): - Great place. Good tv options. Great vibe
- Chad (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - The owners of this hotel have obviously gone to a lot of effort to make it a nice place to stay. The facility was exceptionally clean, new countertops and faucets in bathroom, and cute decorating touches throughout. Definitely a good value stay!
- Mike (3/5): Poor - the breakfast was mostly non-existent, I was there when it opened (20 minutes later than the signs said it would be available. The food IN TOTAL was 4 bite sized muffins, partial container of milk that was curdled like yogurt, ONE slice of white bread, coffee maker. This was for everyone in the motel!! location was quiet
- Erickson (9/5): It was an economical and nice stay. - Breakfast was good. I loved the firmness of the bed and how the rooms were painted. The abstract gold and white circles in bathroom were a delight. There was no phone book and light on desk didn't work.
- Cheryl (8/5): - The AC had a musty smell. I brought it to their attention and they had somebody in my room, fixing it in under 10 minutes.
- Carey (5/5): Passable -
- Christian (8/5): Very good - The performance.
- Donald (6/5): - Smell was bad
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonjia (10/5): - Great service
- Judy (7/5): Good - Room was clean, especially the bathroom, bed was comfortable Stairwells and rooms had an unpleasant odor. The stairwells smelled like cigarettes, the rooms smelled stale and musty.
Towels were like sandpaper
Breakfast was dismal, even for a Continental breakfast. First morning had two types of cereal but no milk, and a few small muffins. Second morning, one type of cereal but there was milk, no muffins but a couple of pieces of bread to make toast. No tea bags, juice didn't seem to be fresh.
- Hornung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (6/5): - Bed uncomfortable and tv didn’t work
- Kevin (10/5): - The manager really helped me, i had a little issue and he said no problem m
Lets see what we could do.. and The manager and his wife figured it out and got me in a room right away.
Thank you so much for understand my situation. Sincerely Kevin G.
- Tony (8/5): Very good - Large room which has been modernized with everything you needed, big TV, parking onsite, diner next door, liquor store across the car park.
- Peggy (6/5): Clean but feels shady - The bathtub would not drain and the shower did not work. The hotel room was clean. I would never stay there again. I checked the bed for bed bugs and to see if it was clean. It was not what i expected. I would recommend spending the 20 or 30 dollars more for a nicer hotel.
- Dick (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kris (10/5): - Very nice remodel and the prices are extremely reasonable. I travel frequently and felt safe in these very clean accommodations.
- Dianne (1/5): Don’t do it! - Free continental breakfast option was (seriously) one slice of white bread and/or a silver dollar sized muffin for breakfast!
Bed sheet was stained! Gross!
Floor was dirty and not swept upon arrival.
Someone else’s hairball in the bathroom upon arrival.
Would not cancel reservation for me because I booked online…pretty disgusting place.
- CJ (10/5): Decent Room for the price - While it looks mediocre from the outside, the room was freshly remodeled and spacious. Nice, new, smart tv. The beds are on the firmer side. The breakfast was minimal. But I would stay here again for the economical price.
- Cheryl (2/5): - Expedia stated all rooms on one floor. Incorrect. They could not mert my requests
- Cheryl (2/5): - Did not have any first floor rooms. Details said all rooms on one level. Couldn't stay.
- Hornung (10/5): Exceptional - quiet breakfast
- Allen (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hornung (8/5): Very good - price beds hard
- Walburn (10/5): Exceptional - Came into town LandToAir
way before check in but
so fabulous they let
me leave baggage so could visit the town until check in.This was a biggie for me. Maybe only instant coffee packets and paper cups for it in room, but
so great for quietness and rest
after Graduation.
