Guest Reviews
- Steven (8/5): - breakfast Noisy people in hallway running up and down. To much loud talking. Workers should have told them to be quit
- Gordan (10/5): - Close to my Dr appointment today, great front staff, very cheerful
- Cory (7/5): -
- James (7/5): Okay - Proximity to everything. Major construction work going on in the room next-door till later in the evening
- Terry (9/5): Good value for overnight stay - Breakfast was ok for price. Filled up but eggs with cheese were little rubbery probably made early and we ate shortly before end of breakfast. Pancakes were good from machine never gave trouble like several others I used before. Only complaint really was jams and cream cheese were all mixed in one bowl had to sort through several to find jam I wanted. Coffee from machine worked but a little more weaker than I liked. But I wasn’t expecting Starbucks either Hot tub was closed wasn’t advertised when I purchased. Was looking forward to it after 12 hr drive so would have possibly went to different hotel if known prior to booking
- melaniel215 (10/5): Great location - It has a great location for our need for doctor appointments and surgery. I will suit our needs for relaxing and for after the surgery soon. I will be staying again.
- Daisymar (8/5): Pode melhorar - Limpeza Cafe manha bem ruim
- Shelly (7/5): We would definitely stay again. - A nice variety of options. Staff was very helpful. Motel was very quiet. Can't think of anything.
- Maps35918243505 (10/5): Comfortable - Clean, comfortable beds. Only issue was the thermostat which was digital wasnt displaying and we want to heat the room up 1 or 2 degrees so we had the guess. It turned out good. Notified the front desk and they were willing to move us to a new room but we waited to see what it was like after we increase the temp to a reasonable.and comfortable temperature. Worked out👍
- Sherri (6/5): Was ok but probably won’t stay again. - Good location Room floors were dirty and the chairs.
- Susan (10/5): -
- Ben (3/5): Not worth it - Our room had dirty sheets on the bed when we first arrived. Got those replaced. Thermostat would not work and was in Celsius. Went to take a shower in the morning and found mold on the shower curtain. Went to front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned while we were out for the day. Came back late afternoon and the room was not cleaned. Took the hotel about 30 minutes before house keeping showed up.

- pennyo2026 (8/5): Mostly a pleasant stay. Convenience to location for medical care was best feature. - Good location close to Medical facilities I needed to be at for 2 days. Nice motel amenities. Good breakfast and 24 hour access to coffee. The room had a strange feature though. There was a “monster” in it. The furnace sounded like a growling beast when it turned on to run and ran very loudly. It kept us warm but it woke us up when it started at night. Staff were nice but some did not know for sure what we said to then because of not having assimilated to USA primary English language.

- KevinT1004 (2/5): Think Twice! - I really do not know where to start. On Saturday, November 15th, when we returned to our room for the evening, my wife found three crunchy, dead ladybugs, two in the windowsill and one on the floor. The kleenex box cover was sitting below the sink and was empty, the paper coffee cups were used, the hand towels hanging in the bathroom looked used, as they were not fresh like the other towels. We tried to watch television, but there was no signal, which was that way our entire stay (I have to wonder if they paid the bill). It would have been nice to have a working television, as it probably would have drowned out the noise of the people jumping in the room above us and the barking dogs down the hall. When we woke up in the morning, the room was quite cool, but when we tried turning up the heat, the thermostat was non-functional.
I realize that there was a hockey tournament in town, but one should have a strategy when placing groups with putting them on the lower floors and non-group guests on the upper floors as not to disrupt their stay. Which should be a basic concept when you are in the hospitality business.
I gave the experience a one, only because the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and said that he had called his boss regarding the television situation. We were told that she would call it in and let him know a time frame of when it would be resolved. It was never resolved during our stay. So at first, I thought it was a line that he was giving me, but then on Monday, November 17th I called to speak with Krista Olthoff, GM of the property, twice, both times I was told that she was in a meeting or at an appointment. Tuesday, November 18th, when I called for a third time, I was told by the woman answering the phone that she was in, and she asked who was calling and what it was regarding. I told her it was in regard to our stay on Saturday night. When the woman returned, she stated that Krista was in a meeting and could I leave her my information. So I did as requested. I asked that Krista return my call that day (Tuesday), I wanted to give her a heads up. Well, it has been over 48 hours now, and I am still waiting for a call-back, so now, I am giving her the same or better (I did try) courtesy that she gave me.
We paid for a clean room with a functioning television, a working thermostat, and new/unused amenities, not a used or slightly used room with debatable functioning, new/clean amenities. I hope that your other Microtel properties are not managed this poorly.
- 371claudetteb (8/5): Fair experience - The staff are helpful
The rooms are clean
The shower is not full force needs some update
Breakfast fair no napkins but a roll of rough oaper towel
Its a pet friendly place but no poop bags available in stands
Needs some updates on rugs

- Dirty Mike & The Dev (1/5): Do not recommend, barely a grade above an actual shit hole. - The location was decent. That was the only positive thing about this gawd awful motel grade dump. That's actually being generous.
Do not stay here. Do not give these people your hard earned money. They do not care if you are happy there or enjoyed your stay. Bathroom floor was sticky. Like they cleaned it with soda pop. I wiped it down a few times with cleaning wipes...not better. Went to the front desk to ask for cleaning products, his response was to move me rooms. After we got settled and unpacked. I said I just wanted the floor to be cleaned. He did come and clean it.
The hot tub/jacuzzi advertised on booking.com is what they will call a spa and tell you it's working fine & is as advertised. The Jets in the hot tub jacuzzi do not work. It's basically just a hot water filled tub & it needed a goos clean
The carpets both in the room & the hallways were ripped, piling & stained.
A family of 3 adults & 2 children check in and were put in the room above us. The kids were running back & forth, jumping off the beds, thumping & making a heck of a racket. The picture on the wall was moving from them jumping. I went to the front to complain. He said he'd ask them to stop. I asked if we checked out a day earlier than scheduled would we be charged, explaining that the cost of the room is far too high for the experience. I expressed our extreme disappointment & frustration. He said he'd speak to his manager. The next day, we heard nothing. Not wanting to pack our room & fight with the hotel be cause we reserved two nights, we decided to stay. My husband went up front to speak to the same guy who was there and we both talked to & advised that we were staying but he was not happy an wanted to discuss a discount with the manager. The guy said he'd speak to his manager but refused to call when my husband asked him to call them right then. The last night was same, loud jumping kids above us. Nothing done
The hotel is old, dirty, stinky & the staff clearly do not care about their guests or the experience. The advertising on this site is extremely misleading, its barely above a motel off the highway in the middle of nowhere.
- Lyette (9/5): Great hotel. We would stay there again. - Location and the beds were comfortable. The lamp was burnt out and the bathroom was not fully stocked.
- Lorna (10/5): - Good breakfast
- Hesch (10/5): - Great location and clean rooms.
- James (10/5): Okay - Great location lobby was very nice and the room was very clean. The construction around the building and laundry machines were ether broken or not functioning properly. And the room was very small.
- KATHY (6/5): - Disappointed withe the motel changing my room from a suite to a double room,(which my reservation was paid prior to my arrival)and was NOT notified until we checked in.
- Caleb (8/5): - Good hotel. Front desk people not very talkative. 2 people in the back with no uniform, had a Bob Marley sweatshirt on. 2 people of the 3 people working were all touchy feely in the office, saw it from the outside.
- Patricia (4/5): - Too expensive for the condition of the property and service to the guest.
- Neil (10/5): - Clean room, Comfortable, and Convenient
- Bruce (10/5): - Best price in the area. Safe quiet location and pleasant staff!
- Kaci (6/5): - Easy parking. The hotel was unfortunately dirty. Guest bathroom at check in was filthy. Guest check in was a bit of a struggle as the key card machine was not working. Hallways were dirty. Breakfast area however was clean and provided a good selection. Constant dog barking through the night was unpleasant.
- Lindsey (10/5): - Very clean room, easy to find and accessible from the interstate.
- Tina (10/5): More than met our needs. - Staff was very friendly. Our length of stay changed and and they were very accommadating. Loved the window seat above the AC/heater. They were located very close to the business we needed to go to. Because of high humidity, the carpet felt a little damp or maybe it was just cleaned.
- Cristina (10/5): - Very nice room and clean
- Sandra (6/5): - The room I stayed in was quiet. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. The breakfast area was not tidy.
- Mandy (8/5): - All seemed clean and good for our stay
- Mandy (4/5): - We have stayed at this location quite a few times and this was by far my worst experience. Dirty walls entering the room, dirty wall in the bathroom, a horrible smelling shower curtain, bedding uncomfortable and ripped in places.
- MONIQUE (10/5): - Very clean room with friendly and professional staff as well as a comfy, cozy bed. Great choice of hot breakfast.
- cheryl (10/5): - Very nice breakfast, especially the pancakes!
Would definitely stay here again.
- Chuck (6/5): - Average place
- Barbara (6/5): September - The hot tub didn’t work, the treadmill didn’t work for my husband. The room was great.
- Trenton (6/5): - Had to go to the frint desk everyday ti get new key card sure why. Thats the one i didnt like
- Chad (6/5): - We didn’t have any hand soap to wash are hands
- Ghi (8/5): - Fair. Clean, Quiet. Little pricy.
- Tristan (10/5): - Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean.
- Nicole (6/5): We made do - The staff is friendly enough and were accommodating. The room was in poor condition with a leaky toilet, tiles on the walls missing in the bathroom and the bed and pillows were terrible. Carpet was gross and the AC didn't work unless it was just on vs. auto and even then we weren't able to get it to temperature.
- Grant (2/5): - On check-in we had 2 rooms 1st room the toilet seat was nearly falling off, second room had no toilet paper and was missing toilet paper roll holder. Both rooms the keys had to be redone numerous times.
- Lucas (6/5): - The room was nice but there was a few things that that needed attention there was no hand soup to washer your hands the light in bathroom the main one by the mirror didn't work the lobby where you each was very dirty tables not clean floors very stinky was very unhappy with that part and the staff just where visiting with each other and then that sat down and ate probably wouldn't stay there again
- Ann (6/5): - The TV in our room did not work, the light in the bathroom above the sink didn't work and the breakfast was disorganizedd as there wasn't enough help to take care of the front desk and the breakfasts.
- Margaret (9/5): -
- Shirley (8/5): - I really didn’t enjoy being on the 4th floor. I am in my late 70’s traveling with my dog. It was a long walk every time I had to go out. It’s a lovely property.
- Amy (5/5): - Good location Needs some improvements could be cleaner
- John (10/5): - COSTCO store near close for shopping needs.
- Michellene (8/5): - Shops nearby
- Deb (8/5): - I’ve stayed here twice in the last month always clean and a great stay
- Seth W (8/5): - Overall, very good stay. Nice room, comfortable bed, great amount of towels for one person. Only downside for my stay was the room key cards that kept not working. Was explained to not keep by cell phone or wallet, which wasn’t the case. The keys would work for getting into building but not into the room.
- Heather (6/5): - It seemed to have updated furniture and carpet but the walls in the room and halls were very beat up and looked dirty. Our thermostat was also hanging off the wall so you had no idea what temperature the room was set to. The bedskirts were also very noticeably dirty so even though the sheets looked clean it made us question the cleanliness of everything.
- Megan Nichole (8/5): - There were rocks in all the entrance doors and that didn’t feel very safe knowing anyone could walk
- Shawn (10/5): - Very clean staff was very friendly quiet and had a great breakfast will definitely stay there again
- Jodi (10/5): - Close to places to eat and Costco near by as well. Close to freeway.
- Aylia (10/5): -
- Elvira (10/5): - The price is reasonable. It's quiet and clean.
- Linda (8/5): Fargo stop on way to Minot - We’ve stayed here before and it was really nice and clean. Not so much this time. Hallway carpet really needs shampooing, dead crickets in stairwell, no bar soap, body wash, lotion, or conditioner in bathroom. Shower liner needed replacing - had the pink coloring on the bottom :-(.
Breakfast was ok.
General maintenance was on poor side (walls need washing/painting).
Sheets and bathroom clean. Room a little small. Said I reserved a queen bed, but it had to be a full size bed.
- Robert (8/5): - Good quiet, clean stay.
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Roberto (10/5): - ...
- Ethan (6/5): - Would have given a better review but they had extremely expired milk in the fridge for breakfast and I didn't realize till after I had taken a sip. Other than that the stay was decent.
- Robert (4/5): - Virtually no Wifi is the big issue for us.
Jacuzzi was also closed for repairs.
Multiple channels for TV listed on their guide were not available. Very few toiletries supplied in room. The valet carts available had wonky wheels, thus were had to push or steer.
- Laura (4/5): - The location Our first room didn’t have working lights. The coffee machine was broken.
- RICHARD (8/5): Good stay - It was a good stay at the hotel
- Dale (4/5): - Room was not clean , hot tub not working, pancake machine not working, thermostat not working in our room.
No extra blankets, not even a fly swatter to kill the flys that were bugging us in our room, no extra pillows.
Biggest thing , we checked out early because our daughter got released from the hospital early and they refused to credit us for it didn’t measure up to aGOOD hotel. night we didn’t stay. For the price we paid
- Anna (6/5): - Service was great and it was clean as always but there was absolutely no coffee which was not good machine was broken but at least bring in extra machine to supply coffee in the morning and food for breakfast was very sparse. We had to wait long time for trays to be refilled. Not our best stay just because of the food and coffee
- Phillip (4/5): - We have stayed at Microtel before and had been great, we stayed back in March for Doctors appointments and was realy close to Sanford Hospital. However the most recent stay was not very pleasant. First morning at breakfast was an absolute joke, out of everything it was only 8am coffee machine wasn't working, the entire 4 day stay each breakfast was a disaster. I asked for more towels one evening and must of woke up the desk clerk in the back, had got and eye roll from the young lady. Our hallway on our floor every evening smelled like marijuana. We just stayed here back in March and was great, thinking Microtel Corruption needs to check into Management.
- Kelli (8/5): - Great breakfast
- Bradley (4/5): Bathroom leak with mold - We had to change rooms because the first they put us in had a huge water stain in the ceiling of the bathroom that also looked like it was black mold. Was concerned that the rest of the hotel might be in the same condition.
- Sue (6/5): - Lobby Coffee machine wasn’t working, no cups in the room for that coffee maker either. Hot tub needs to be cleaned. Rooms itself were clean and nice.
- Catherine (8/5): - Clean and met our needs for an overnight stop on a road trip. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
- Harry (10/5): - Awesome place.
- Martin (6/5): - Relatively new hotel in West Fargo
- Rhonda (8/5): Friendly staff - This was an extended medical stay. Staff was friendly and very caring. Rooms were clean and kitchenette had ample supplies. Would have given 5 stars if hotel kept those smoking away from entrances as the smell was carried into the hotel by air units.
- Scott (5/5): Not worth $150 per night. Not even close. - Location Coffee machine didn’t work. Front door wasn’t working. No toilet paper in lobby bathroom. Non-caring staff.
- Marilyn (10/5): - Air conditioner was musty smelling.
- Christina (5/5): Na - Quiet Poor to no lighting. Kindergarten sink
- Peter (3/5): Won't be going back. - The closeness to venue and restaurant options. Rooms were horribly humid, smelly, missing basic things like cups! How are you supposed to make coffee or tea with no cups?? Bathroom hair dryer was broke. Floor trim broken. Staff at arrival were not friendly, not mean, just seemed annoyed to be there. Stained carpet floors in hallways, ripped carpet. While checking in they had a dog behind front desk. Another dog in one of the guest rooms. Odd number of pillows.
- Tannis (8/5): - Staff upon check in was aloof. The key pad to the room was dead and therefore had to switch rooms. Again the staff person was cool and indifferent. Otherwise once we got into our room it was a very clean and nice room. Great location.
- robbieg819 (2/5): I do not recommend and will not be staying again - When we first checked in, the room was unbearably hot – the heat was on and set to 80 degrees, despite it being 80 and muggy outside. I was expecting to walk into a cool, comfortable space, not a sauna. To make things worse, the bathroom was not clean: I found two long hairs on the shower wall, a long hair on the toilet, and two short hairs in the sink. I requested a different room as I was disgusted by the heat and filth.
The second room, thankfully was much cooler, however, cleanliness continued to be an issue. There was a long black hair on one of the bathroom towels. The carpet under the desk was badly snagged, and the wall behind the nightstand was filthy – clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The coffee maker in the room had no cups provided, and the larger coffee pot at breakfast was broken, so getting coffee was not an easy task that morning. Beds were OK, I did get a good rest.
The pool area was another letdown. There were no towels available for guests to use after swimming, and the hot tub jets didn't work. In the fitness area, the treadmill wasn't working and the display panel was missing from the stationary bike.
The front desk gal was very nice but overall, I was not happy with my stay. There were too many issues, both with cleanliness and maintenance, to overlook. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this motel to others.
- Mark (8/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): - This hotel was rundown and didn’t seem very clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- Rick (2/5): - Terrible service. Had no rooms even though we were booked
- Amanda (10/5): - Great room
- Peter (4/5): - We had concerns because recent reviews of this hotel have been bad. The room was okay, although the hallways were shabby. What we really objected to was that there was no coffee available in the morning. The machine in the lobby was broken, but there should have been a backup. This is a really fundamental amenity, and it’s hard to excuse not having it. Management of this property seems generally slapdash.
- ronald (8/5): - The hotel was very nice and clean. The only issues would be the showers had very little pressure, they were out of coffee at breakfast, and the wi-fi was poor. Free but barely worked. Minor things as the hotel was in good condition and clean but for the value it was excellent
- Marshall (8/5): Overnight one night - I would have given a five, but no coffee cups in the room. Then the coffee maker was out of service for breakfast. Had to go down the street to get coffee. Everything else was ok.
- James (10/5): - Clean and convenient
- Kristin (10/5): - Clean, safe area, front desk service was great
- Melissa (8/5): - The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.
- Simons (1/5): - They didn't have a room but I got charged and had to go find a new room. Nothing I got charged and had to go find a new room they were full.
- Terrilyn (4/5): - Got to the hotel, the front desk couldn’t find our booking, someone had already had already checked us in. Front desk got us sent up to the room and there were people sleeping in the room. Gave us another room but no other accommodations.
- Greg (8/5): - Nice place in a great location
- Marv (10/5): - would stay there again
- Cynthia Jane (10/5): - Convenience
