Guest Reviews
- Doreen (4/5): - Check in was ridiculously slow, was in the owners living space and the TV was in full blast. Exterior and grounds were filthy. Rooms very outdated. No pride of ownership at this place.
- Mary (4/5): - The only good thing was the bedding was clean. Felt like I was sleeping on a sheet of plywood. Walls bare and filthy, fan in bathroom falling out, tub drain was gross. Lamps - shades falling apart and the bases were terribly dusty. Bed skirts ripped. No hangers for clothes. No extra pillows or blankets. Person in neighboring room cigarette and weed smoke coming right in our room. Would NOT Recommend
- Lon (4/5): Go somewhere else - Floors were dusty. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Dirt in corners. Tape holding the microwave together. TV did not work.
- David (4/5): - Our room was missing the smoke detector (found it in the dresser drawer), had a place on the wall for an iron (but no iron to be found), had a small refrigerator that was leaking water, massive water damage along the baseboards and the bathroom walls were filthy. Several parts of the exterior were falling apart making the property most unwelcoming
- Thomas (2/5): - 1) the WiFI did not work, bot enough signal.
2) The room was dirty. This included the bed.
3) The outside is run down and looked unkept.
4) the door to the room did not fit properly and the frame was bent, you could see light around the door.
5) The staff was unprofessional. I had a problem with the TV and no one was around to help, during office hours.
6) Stary away from this property.
- Matt (2/5): - The stay was quiet but as i woke up and turned on the lights i noticed black mold and mold in the storage spots
- Micah (6/5): - It was decent for the price, if you can afford somewhere better go somewhere else. I wish I had.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unsafe and unclean - There was a drive by shooting the 2nd night. The bathroom toilet kept running all night, our socks were black from the floor being so dirty, and residents were up all night yelling and making noise. The mattress was at least comfortable.
- Dan (4/5): - Good location. Thats all. Wouldn't recommend.
- Owen (10/5): - Great staff
- robert (6/5): - Decent cheap hotel
- Tracy (4/5): - Didn't like it at all room were small, bathroom door was broken, and the floors were sticky and lamps didn't work ðŸ˜
- Kate (10/5): - It’s a lovely vintage hotel in the heart of old Centralia. The manager is so kind and helpful attending to every detail. The rooms and the whole hotel are spotless and comfortable. I recommend this to anyone wanting a unique experience.
- Alice (2/5): - 1) Front desk guy came out in a ripped tank undershirt and pants at 10:30 am. I paid $20 extra to check in early.
2) Place was sketchy, not well kept up.
3) My room had NOT been cleaned, there was someone elses food in the refrigerator, there was a used wash cloth on top of the shower curtain, there was a used towel hanging behind the door, there were other peoples hair in the sink. Under the coffee pot was a bunch of spilled gross coffee, the coffee pot had no lid so I had to use a straw to push up the button to let the coffee down, took 1 drink and gagged, tossed it into sink and there was a green plug of gunk, thank God I did not drink that part. The bathroom floor had piss all over it. Do not recommend this place to anyone!!
- Erin (10/5): - Fred
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place sucks - Couldnt check in, personnel werent there till the time frame listed, did not answer phone nimber on door. Waiting fir a refund
- Attila (2/5): - This place is old and outdated.
- Kenneth (8/5): - The people were great and very polite
- Irene (2/5): - They almost did not let me check in because they have a hard cut off of 10pm check ins and I was travling for an event and did not get to the hotel till late. There was a clear open sign lit up in the office but the man who was at the office was angry I did not check in earlier and said he normally would not let me check in. Then he game me a key to a room that already had a person in it so I had to go back and have him give me an unoccupied room.
- Richard (4/5): - Maintenance has been neglected
- Donna (6/5): - The gentleman at the desk was excellent. He was friendly answered any question we had and said if we needed anything to let him know. The room was not very clean and the towels should have been rags they were so frayed and stained. The facecloths were new. The bathroom door was falling off. The toilet was the same size as a child’s in an elementary school.
- Dawn (10/5): Just like you would imagine - fine - Everything was exactly as expected.
- Carmelia (2/5): - Toilet was clogged ,broken door, broken ice machine, microwave worked only half the time.Pillow case had hair and stain.smelt bad !!
Leftover food from who ever stayed before ! Couldn't even get fresh towels was give stained floor towels. This place needed to be checked out by health department!
John was good at shinning you on !I didnt like him smoking at my door and Fred needs tools to do his job!
How ever Fred was kind!
- James (2/5): - Location
- Johnnie (2/5): - Asked for adjacent or adjoining rooms at booking because have disabled individuals with mobility issues and got separate rooms on different floors. Room #1 had 1 working light. Room #2 had no working heater (it was in the 20's that night) and the beds just had a sheet and a bed cover. Got up in the morning to find roaches scaling the walls. When I went to open the door to leave, the whole door assembly came apart in my hand. I had to climb out of the window to open the door from the outside. The bathrooms were gross. For 5 people, they gave us 4 hand towels, no bath towels, and no wash clothes. There was a fridge on the walkway of the second floor that looked like it was smeared with feces and stunk something firece, which wafted into our room. The other room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke (non-smoking rooms were requested). Horrible, horrible experience. Parting words to attendant: this place is trash.
- summer (6/5): - for the price, I didn't expect much, and it is a very handy location, and the staff were friendly. But the door lock was broken, the AC was broken, the light over the sink wouldn't stay on, there was hardly any toilet paper for two of us and the office was closed when we ran out so we had to drive to the grocery store. A lot of non-residents hang out there, so if you are at all concerned for safety ask for a room away from the stairways where they gather. That and people sit at the bottom of the steps and smoke, which was right across from our door so there was a constant smell of smoke coming through from outside. Room was clean enough for the price but there was trash behind the bathroom door so maybe not a lot of effort put into cleaning. So, it's convenient and affordable, and staff are trying, but it needs a lot of work, and this is NOT a place to stay if you are a woman traveling alone.
- michelle (2/5): - Our room was not clean, felt extremely unsafe.
- Prince (4/5): - Tub drain had soap bar in it, had to request coffee and cups, microwave door broken, did kill one cockroach like bug, shower area light sw. plate broken. Long term heavy smoker renters.Ok place to weather out a storm
- Erma (6/5): - Nothing
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok except for having people above us who stayed up all night and the rooms could use a little more attention as far as cleanliness. And there were coffee pots but no cups...
- Joseph (10/5): - Great place to stay excellent customer service quik and easy check in will stay there anytime
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner and staff was really nice. They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel really welcomed.
- James (10/5): - It was a great nights rest. Great place to stay!
- Jennifer (10/5): Great service - The guy working front desk was awesome
- Rach (2/5): - Bad service from front desk, cockroaches and weird individuals staying there
- Terrence (8/5): Met with friend - Toilet seats to low for some seinors
- CB (10/5): - Very nice Helpful Compassionte to needs A family friendly place for children. Hand made arts and crafts displayed in front office Taking all safety measures for prevention of exposure to this virus going around. Which I greatly appreciated as well.
- James (2/5): The worst of the worst. - Room was filthy stunk had to use carpet fresh to improve the odor in our room. The couple that ran the place were in bed watching tv in the office of the hotel.
Had there been a refund policy I definitely would have booked another hotel
- Jeff (2/5): It’s a dump. Stay away. - It’s truly a dump. Disgusting in every category. Save some $ and stay at a Motel6 instead.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What l like is that is closed to alot restaurant with a walking distance
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was clean except upholstery on the one chair in the room was very dirty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was very dirty food under the bed also a bog toe nail. The room had no garbage can. The plug ins wouldnt hold my phone charger. Super just ghetto.
- A (2/5): - My daughter (young adult) checked into the property but due to the condition of the property, waited in her car for me. Upon arrival, we went into the room and were horrified! At first glance the room was obviously not up to any standard of clean, BUT when I looked more, it was filthy! I proceeded to take photos of what we saw then called CheapTickets while we tried to decide what our options were. I then went to front desk and had to knock to be let in the office. When I mentioned the issue the man at the desk immediately started arguing with me, I told him that I did have photos and he continued to be rude, unaccommodating, argumentative/confrontational and at times even aggressive. He would not address the condition of the room, just continued to repeat how he was not going to refund the room and why was he just hearing about it now. After being told that all he was willing to do was move us to another room, and seeing how actually addressing the issue wasn't going to happen, I agreed. The second room was also dirty. When I staid that, he made a comment basically about how they don't advertise as a 5-star hotel and I reminded him that no matter the rating, filthy is not ok!(unknown bug in tub) I turned to leave the room, saw garbage sitting on the a/c unit.. He stormed off, telling me no refund/that he showed me another room. He refused to allow CheapTickets to refund saying that I had been transferred into multiple rooms already. We ended up at Motel6, where it was clean
- Paul (10/5): Centralia Inn - Great location, comfortable easy to find hotel. Has all the amenities I need and more. The hotel manager took great of me and made the stay here a pleasant one. I will be staying here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a room at Centralia Inn the same day I was going to stay there. The website indicated the office closed at 10:00 and I knew I would get there later than that but I thought I could arrange a later check-in with a phone call. I tried calling 4 times, each time getting a busy signal. I drove down, found the office closed and was unable to check in. I had to find a different hotel for the night. On the return leg of my trip, I stopped in to talk to the manager, asking him for a refund. He admitted he would be paid for my reservation by Expedia but refused to refund my payment.
- Carson (2/5): - Other residents were so loud. And smoked where ever they wanted. Staff in office were very nice. And tried their best to help.
- BRIAN (2/5): Freezing at Centralia Inn. - Decided to stay overnight due to snow storm. Wanted basic hotel (nothing fancy). Booked online. The hotel is a little run down. Pictures were deceiving. Since it was 26 degrees outside we decided not to get to picky. The biggest problem was the heating system did not work. Tried calling office but it was closed. Family with 3 kids hunkered down wearing our sweatshirts and pants to bed. Not a pleasant evening. Would not recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff friendly and caring. Clean facilities with ammentities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I guess this place was pretty shady a few years back, but the current owners are trying to improve things. It is, in their words, "a work in progress." However, it was clean, especially the beds, and I imagine that next time I drop in, things will be a lot better. The rooms are in dire need of updates, but it looks like there is a maintenance schedule in place. The price was right and I slept well, so that's really all I ask for.
- Marna (2/5): Creepy perv???? - When checking in I went to use the bathroom in my room while hubby unloaded. Manager walked right in unannounced and turned on heater while I was in the bathroom! Ummm creepy!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nothing unique about the site. No frills, which is what I expected, but provided a safe port to spend a night on the road.
- Gwendolyn (8/5): Inexpensive not cheap - We stayed due to being too tired to continue our return trip. Service was great. Very friendly fella. Quiet.
- Rob (8/5): - Good place to stay for the price. Good location near food, freeway and shopping. Very nice staff with great service and beds are very comfortable. TV cable selection is excellent. Not the fanciest place in town, but you get your money's worth here at almost half the price of other motels nearby.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Affordable but substandard - We called 3 times the day before to advise arrival time. There's no one answer the phone and no voice mail. After we got there, no one at the office. A note at the door instead to call a number for check in. Wait time was 10 min. The bed and bathroom looked clean but has a strong order with very old carpet. Air condition was very noisy.
- Daniel (4/5): Try somewhere else - Air conditioning did not work. Ice machine did not work. Shower had only lukewarm water
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you need a place, this is one - The staff were ok. The building itself not in great repair. Definitely not a up scale place but ok for a night or two.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The owner/manager was exceedingly pleasant. Very helpful and pleasant to work with.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - tried this place due to cost & location for our trip. Was near interstate, eating & a few shopping places, even a Nike outlet store.
Hours for office people normal 10 AM to 6 PM, but other info said 9-9. They had someone in a room designated after 6 pm to assist with getting room, but they had to call the Manager to verify.
Is an older inn, room was clean, beds were ok, had small refrig & microwave. There were issues with all electrical outlets, even their lights & tv had to have the plugs bent. The ice maker did not work. One light would not work above the beds. Glad we were there only one night. It was late enough we did not want to try another room. Hope they can make improvements soon?
- Dominic (6/5): $ = quality - It was the value of the price paid. They gave a wifi password that was for the quality inn wifi next door. Apparently quality inn changes it time to time lol. But was decent for a 1 star and clean.
- William (2/5): - Absolute crap! Walls are not painted, ac does not work. Staff not there, checked in with a permanent hotel resident. People not from the hotel were sitting outside my room.
DONT STAY HERE!!
