- AW (8/5): A no nonsense one night motel stay. - Directions and booking in was clear and easy. Parking and privacy was as expected from a standard motel setup and the facilities were good. Room was a good size and bathroom provided all facilities. A good stay for a no-nonsense overnight stay It was a bit unusual to have to wash your own dishes. Would have expected that it was part of the normal cleaning services.

- Louise (9/5): - We had a lovely overnight stay here at the Pinewood in Fairlie. Staff are all friendly and accommodating. The motel was very clean and comfortable with everything one might need for a quick meal if need be. We ate at the nearby Fairlie Pub, which was recommended and well worth it for the ale, food and banter. I think air freshener was a tad too liberally used in our room, but otherwise it was a perfect stay. Thank you.
- Maarten (7/5): - Fairlie zelf is best charmant en voor uitvalsbasis naar Mount Cook prima. Het personeel was vriendelijk en de kamers schoon. Niet het nieuwste van het nieuwste, wel een fijn verblijf! De wifi was niet zo goed in ons huis, weinig bereik. De douche is zonder douchebak, dus na het douchen is de wc/badkamer wel nat.. gelukkig genoeg handdoeken om even te drogen. Hadden vooraf betaald, maar moesten toch nog alle creditcard gegevens verstrekken.. dat was waarschijnlijk in geval van boete door overtreding van een van de (relatief veel aanwezige) regels.. aan de ene kant begrijpelijk en als je je gedraagt geen probleem.

- Laura (1/5): Horrible el personal. - Las instalaciones El personal fue muy descortés, empezando que antes de llegar mandaron un mensaje pidiendo los datos de la tarjeta y que los pasara por fuera de booking. Nos cobraron 50 dólares porque salimos 10 minutos tarde de la hora del check out. Tenía todo cargado en el auto y nos demoramos trabajando con la computadora. Fue a decirnos que saliéramos pero ya había hecho el cargo en la tarjeta por la salida tarde. Muy fea la actitud de la muchacha. Salimos inmediatamente que nos dijo q estábamos tarde. Si ya había hecho el cargo, nos hubiera avisado y nos permitía quedarnos un rato más. Horrible experiencia. No lo recomiendo porque buscan cualquier pretexto para hacer el cobro extra.

- Paul (6/5): A night stay - Nice and quiet. Parking outside room. Overall a nice night stay No access to plugs in the kitchenette had to put stove on microwave and boil the kettle on the floor in the bedroom which is dangerous. No blind in the bathroom felt exposed.

- Stephen (5/5): Our accommodation in Dunedin was so superior to Fairly, for only an extra $14 - Location Traffic noise diabolical. Double glazing needed. Kitchen facilities bare minimum. So many signs warning of extra charges - this is not friendly or welcoming

- Ian (9/5): Pleasant place to stay on a Rod trip or short vacation - Last hotel on our New Zealand road trip. Good room with a sitting area outside. Comfortable bed. Not crazy about the tight regulations on what you can cook, washing cups. A charge for taking away a milk bottle seems a bit over the top.

- DebsD (8/5): Great value for money - Comfortable beds, great price and value for money, nice bathroom. On busy road but not really a noise problem. The no refill of tea and coffee rule after first day was odd since you are paying full price for each night.

- FrankEx (9/5): Mooie, nette, ruime kamer en badkamer. - Mooie ruime en propere kamer met een ruime badkamer. Parkeren voor de deur. In en uitchecken gaat heel vlot. Aanrader op doorreis van zuid naar noord.
- Linda (7/5): Great location, a lot “Commonsense rules” spelt out everywhere - The location was good with off road parking. The room facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Toiletries and washing up liquid, tea towel & dishwashing brush & cloth were provided along with two of everything - cutlery, dinner & tea plates, cereal bowls, glasses and mugs All the notices telling us additional charges would be incurred for staining the bed linen, cooking pungent foods, despite the fact that the cupboards smelt of garlic, being a second over the 10.00am checkout time, leaving unwashed and undried crockery etc., etc.

- Kurtis (10/5): Nice stay in Fairlie! - We had a great stay in Pinewood, maybe the comfiest bed we ever slept on during our trip to NZ. Lovely lady at reception. Room had everything we needed for the night and even a kitchenette that we used as most restaurants were closed for Christmas. Would highly recommend!
