Guest Reviews
- Mulwanda (10/5): - Briliant stay!
- Robert (10/5): Home from home - Hotel is so cosy and homely. But Mani and his wife are the most incredible hosts I have ever come across , and I have travelled . We will really miss them and can’t wait to comeback. The breakfast was exceptional. I would totally recommend this place
- Marlene (10/5): Awesome stay - It was amazing the host was great and we love Linckin, he is the best. We will be going back.
- Makie (10/5): - The service was excellent from the time we arrived. The guy at reception was welcoming and he was very helpful. The breakfast was great. All thanks to the chef
- STEVEN (10/5): Trip to the Dam - Really nice friendly place, made us very welcome. would recommend and would go back and stay again
- Kabelo (10/5): You will NOT regret this place - It was super amazing, i wish i had booked for longer! I'm even planning to go back
- Justin (8/5): - Stayed one night, and it was a comfortable stay. However, the property is much more compact than it appears in photos, and the breakfast was rather bland.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very Average - No desk or area to work in the room. No drinkable water in the room. Very limited TV channels.
- Jody (6/5): Not going again! - Place was cosy with modern touches. Room was cold, the air conditioner did not work to heat up the room, management advised that it would work after 30 minutes- I found this odd as it was not making a sound or blowing air immediately.
Toilet was not washed properly upon arrival, cob webs on the thatch poles.
We were not given the wifi password and the room is not sound proof at all. You can hear everything from the room next door!
It really is a beautiful set up with the garden and dinning area. The room needs some TLC and the staff need to be trained. I doubt I will be returning again.
- John (10/5): The ideal weekend away sanctuary - Courtesy in general, the room, and the breakfast!
- John (10/5): Comfy stay - Really nice, comfy and convenient base for a week working in the area. Very pleasant to relax by the pool in the evenings.
- JANE (8/5): Great stay - Lovely place, breakfast was superb
- Terance (6/5): - Owners were a little funny. Did not reply to any of my messages I send to them regarding our arrival time.
In the room, no information regarding breakfast time or internet password.
Room was comfortable but not 100% clean - behind bed dirty.
Bright the chef was very friendly, informative and made a mean breakfast.
The rest of the guests house is absolutely beautiful and will recommend.
- Reinaldo (10/5): Stunning stay - It's was awesome to stay there and will return. Friendly staff, everything was just perfect
- Lee (2/5): How did Kassaboera Lodge get 4 stars? - We paid extra for the honeymoon suite but there is no sound insulation between the rooms so we could hear the couple next door, every word of their conversation, them going to the toilet, (yes the actual sounds)the toilet seat going down, every time they changed the channel on the tv and we couldn't actually complain because they weren't being loud or shouting but our whole stay felt like we were sharing a room with another couple. They went to bed at 2am. The carpet at the foot of the bed was so dirty I didn't want to take my shoes off, the water out the basin (right hand side) is a brownish and the water pressure is so bad that the water doesn't even make it into the basin. Both taps are loose. I sachet of Nescafe at the coffee station? our friend in the other room didn't even get 1. We got the wifi password but none of our devices could find a signal, so while were being kept awake we couldn't even work on our emails. We had to leave before the restaurant opened, and there is no option of a packed breakfast to go? I would expect all of these things if I was staying at a backpackers or camping in a tent but we were expecting to stay at a 4 star lodge. My wife and I have been working in Hospitality for 20 years now. We have dealt with difficult clients, we understand challenges in the industry and as a result we never complain at hotels or restaurants but our stay at Kassaboera was beyond disappointing
- tom (6/5): Ok for a one night stopover - The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the reservoir. However, the room we were given (and were told was the same as all rooms when we tried to change it) did not separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Not really ideal if you're sharing, even as a couple! Also, all the cupboards in the room were locked so we couldn't use the storage space. Odd.
- Chris (6/5): - No dinner facilities
No free wi fi
- Itumeleng (10/5): - The stay was fantastic i have no complains...i would go again
- Frikkie (10/5): F Roos Room 7 - Good services, food execlent and staff is very friendly,Duncan services was very good, gardens are beautiful
- Karen (10/5): Loved it! - It was absolutely fantastic!!!! We enjoyed every moment of the stay! it was for our 5 year anniversary, everything was in close proximity. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the mornings was amazing.
I will definitely give it a 10 / 10 and recommend it to others.
