The room was perfect for two adults with everything you need fridge, stove tops, microwave, toaster and all the utensils. Room was very comfortable. clean, but they are renovating so be patient. Would recommend in a flash and if need be would go back again. Keep up the good work and a great smile.
• Linda (10/5): - The property was taken over by new owners 3 months ago and they have done a huge amount of work on it. Though old, everything was well kept and meticulously clean. The amenities (toiletries etc) provided were over and above the usual offered. The property itself is on the edge of the river and is lovely. I only met the lady owner, but she was very friendly, considerate and accommodating, even offering me free organic apples from an Apple tree on the property. I would definitely stay here again and am recommending it to all my friends.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a short stay. The property has a peaceful riverside setting, perfect for relaxing after a day of driving. Would happily recommend this place to anyone passing through Little Fort.
• Kevin (10/5): - New owners go out of their way to make you happy. Hotel is a bit north of the tiny town. Not much for dining in the area, but that is expected. Owners doing a great job in improvements and upgrades. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

Easy check in, room was very clean (almost too clean, the only downside was a stronger cleaner smell on arrival which did go away after an hour or two). We had a great sleep and couldn't even hear the road from room 5. We had our dog with us and there was lots of grass for walking about. We would absolutely stay again! Thanks so much :)

However, the window facing the river had a blind that wouldn't lower, it was horribly bright. I have never stayed in a hotel/motel that didn't have window coverings. It made for a bad sleep. Also, there was a coffee machine, but no coffee cups, just tea cups.

• I (4/5): Not recommended - I needed a one night stopover in the area and I chose this motel as it had a high rating - although I don't know how it achieved this. It is old and rundown. The room was poorly equipped, the fridge wasn't plugged in and smelt terrible so not sure when last used, and a third of the lightbulbs didn't work. The mattress felt well used but was just about passable. I also couldn't bring myself to use the shower. Note it is also located next to the highway so you will hear the trucks rolling by.
• Karl (4/5): - On check in the room was so cold there was ice building up in the toilet water. It took about 4 hours to warm the room up to a livable temperature. We were told we would be getting a kitchenette room, but the room only had a fridge and microwave. Was difficult to get restocked in the room with things like toilet paper.

• Jennifer (4/5): - So disappointed with our one night stay. We had stayed here a few years ago and liked it. So it was our choice again for this trip. We were SO disappointed. And won’t be staying here again. The property looks run down, dirty and cluttered. Water hoses across the sidewalk creating a tripping hazard. Little to no conversation when we were checking in from the desk clerk. No lights on when we entered the front desk area - what a weird vibe. Went to our room to unload, found it was just the bare minimum and furnishings were very worn, also had some “dust bunnies” around the room. One of the chairs had big rips across the vinyl seat. Yuck. Room was hot (no air conditioning but we knew that from previous stay), turned on the portable fan(which was also very dusty), opened the only window that had a screen, and eventually we cooled off and slept. On a positive note - bed was comfy. In the morning, room was very light (no room darkening curtains on the kitchen window so it got bright very early). So we got up to shower and check out. EXCEPT there was no hot water. AT ALL. Tried to run the faucets to see if it would come on but it didn’t. So we had to leave without showers. Went to talk to the front desk about our concerns and check out (around 8:40 am) and the front door was locked. Sign wasn’t on. No lights on inside. No one around. So I dropped the key in the “early” check out box (didn’t think 0840 am was early on a Saturday in the summer) and left. So disappointed.
• Brent (10/5): - This property is older but has been updated recently and is quite nice. Not much for amenities but Little Fort is less than 5 minutes away. The staff are very friendly and caring. I will definitely stay here again.

• Ruth (8/5): Clean hotel room - In summer, this would be an amazing stopover and I will consider it for future trips. That said, the room was not prepped for our family of four, the water is not potable and only one small bottle per person was provided, and the wifi was not functional and no inside provision for the children to use the wifi was made available (it seems it was working near the office, but not in the rooms). The room was one of the very cleanest we have stayed in for several years. No breakfast was provided and the limitation of dates it is provided for was not obvious when I booked. The staff were friendly enough and brought requested items promptly.

These are new owners as of 2017, and they work hard to provide a welcoming respite from your travels. Breakfast is included and is very good. The room we stayed in lacked a suitcase rack and a closet but as we were only there for one night, it was not an issue.

We were recommended a restaurant where the food was delicious and the atmosphere to our liking. The owners of the Rivermount were especially helpful in helping with reservations for the next leg of our journey. Five stars all the way.
• Steve (8/5): Recommended with a few caveats - Very good choice for the price. Nice details and atmosphere and right on the river. But it's also in close proximity to the highway and it is a truck route so if it's total quiet you seek, it's a consideration. The traffic does however lessen at night. Hummingbirds are the theme of the place and it's totally set up to attract them. But hummingbirds are fickle and we only saw one. That could change by the hour. Comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast.

While having "Breakfast At Tiffany's" we watched the Humming birds feeding at the fruit stations. A lot of thought and hard work has been put into this property. There is an extensive grassy area by the Thompson River to walk round.

Advertised throughout the booking on Expedia was 'Free Breakfast' as this motel is a 'B & B' but we were told our rate plan did not include breakfast. After showing the owner that Expedia shows 'free breakfast', we were told it was Expedia's fault, not their own. So we had to drive into Clearwater to find breakfast for our 7 year old, which we were also rudely told that he could be charged as an extra person in the room. Just rude and unpleasant owners. Surprising for what the other reviews showed them to be.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Suprisingly beautiful place to stay while travelling between BC and Alberta. Not just a regular motel: comfortable, clean and cozy rooms, stunning nature settings- river, mountains, decidious forest, wild flowers... and well kept outdoor with many pleasant surprises so you can fully recharge on many levels for your next trip. Owners are very pleasant and you feel really being taking care off.

According to the owner her place is one of the hummingbirds migration spot, in August you may see 50-60 hummingbirds at the feeders. Too bad that is only 6 rooms at this lovely hotel. So please make your reservation early.
• John A (8/5): Nice but noisy - Super clean hotel and very kitschy. Owners were friendly. Only downside is the trains across the river and the trucks on nearby Hwy 5 go all night long. Bring earplugs and you should be okay.

It was in an easy to find, beautiful location on the river surrounded by mountains, and was very clean. Staff and breakfast were excellent. Downsides were the highway noise and beds which were quite stiff. Would stay here again.

• julia (10/5): Wonderful old fashioned hospitality - Set in a park on the banks of the Northern Thompson River this was a most enjoyable stay. From the delicious breakfast frittata, to the many hummingbirds living in the trees and the friendliness of our hosts, this is my idea of hospitality.

• lihi (10/5): A motel like an hotel! - Lovely family, beautiful place, the beds are comfratable , very clean and everything is awesome. 3 minutes drive from there, there’s a great diner. And how you can forget the hummingbirds ! Because it’s by the river , be prepared to Mosquito bites.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Home Away from Home - We love Tiffany the owner! She made us feel so at home. Our room had a view of the river and a stunning mountain view in our front window. Our room was nice and cutely decorated which fits the surroundings. Beds are comfy and area is clean. Our kids loved watching the hummingbirds in front of the motel which does not define a “motel.” It should be called “ cozy cottage.” We also loved the warm breakfast she made- delicious quiche, cinammon pancakes and other things. It is definitely a must stay if you’re on a road trip.

Great area next to River for an evening walk, as well. No complaints about the room other than couldn't get TV/ or wifi working with any regularity., but lots of motels have that issue, yet, they don't have the nature/ atmosphere that Rivermount does.! Great restaurant 5 minutes away too, Shut your ipad off and enjoy this spot.! PS Thats YOUR quiche at Breakfast ? AND the nut/coconut treats next to the iced -tea...oh joy! Heh!
• christa (8/5): Lovely Oasis - It is beautifully kept and newly upgraded. Very friendly owner, Tiffany goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and enjoy her well kept grounds. It is just off the highway so convenient to find but there is traffic noise which is not noticed when you sit by the fast flowing Thompson River. Great stop over on my way to the Tsawwassen Ferry.
