Lorraine was nice enough, but the guy was rude af. Idk. We were in a surprise situation so i booked this place without looking to be honest, bc it was cheap. When I pulled up though I immediately knew this wasn't going to be a comfortable stay. Gross place. I'm the type to always stay somewhere again if i liked it, and i will be steering so clear of this place next time I'm in Rockport lol.

- Richard (1/5): Hotel of Roaches - Nothing everything about this hotel was horrible Hello everyone if you plan to stay at OYO hotels please don’t stay at the OYOs hotel in Fulton, Rockport called the bay view rockport hotel. We only stayed for one day and once we got to the hotel we had to wait about a hour for the hotel manager to get to the hotel and give us our keys for the rooms. Then all we did was drop out stuff off at the hotel as we were here for a family memorial. It was our biggest mistake not staying at the hotel just a little while long because when we came back from the hotel at night we were meet to a abundance in baby roaches in our room crawling everywhere and the two youngest of my children whom was sharing the room with me screamed in terror one of my children had asthma and doesn’t do well with coach roach dander; and my other child who has autism started yelling and had a panic attack it was a struggle to clam them down. I called the manager and asked for another room for us and she picked up on the second call and moved us to another room but unfortunately for my older kids who were sharing a different room didn’t get as lucky was we did. My other kids called the manager 4 times and they never picked up to which they ended up sleeping in the car. While my kids were sleeping in the car the new room that we were moved into smelled of roach pesticide and air freshener where I found out why it smelled of roach pesticide because we found even more roaches and it was too late at night to look for another hotel so we had to put up with this room. The manager had apologized and said she would give us a full refund the night of but the following day she kept telling us that she needed her higher up’s approval. She then said that if we gave her our information she would give us at least a 100 dollar refund only for her to never reply to us again. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I caution anyone to stay away from this hotel at all cost unless you like roaches then this place will be perfect for you.

We paid for 3 nights but only stayed 1 night and booked elsewhere for the remainder of our trip for our sanity. The room was dirty, there was no secure internet to use, the room smelled like urine, hole in the shower wall. The TV wouldn't stay on, it kept turning off every few minutes, barely any channels. Saw a roach crawl across the floor in the middle of the night. The fridge did not cool properly and had tape on it. Lights were way too dim. The people next to us were always outside smoking so the room always smelled like smoke..and urine. The air conditioner was barely hanging in the window, and didn't cool very well.

I told them and they supposedly fixed it but later i found out they didn't. Room was to hot and ac was spitting black stuff out of it. - Just (5/5): Not a.pleasant stay - Location of the hotel. Friendly staff. Clean pool Several small roaches ran on the walls and a couple of dead bugs inside the small fridge. The size of the shower was ridiculous. And the area between the wall and toilet was so small, it was uncomfortable to sit. The entire pool gate was rusted,rotten, and broken. There was no latch on the gate. Very unsafe and out of code compliance. Needs to be fixed asap! Would not stay there again.

The bed looked slept in the room stunk so bad .It had an air conditioner in the window with mold and mildew and it was so hot in there . It was horrible . Pool was clean, but pool furniture was not. Rusting and not safe for small ones to be around. Booked for the location, but would not recommend. Rooms are pretty out of date. Room had a window unit ac that did not cool the room enough. Tv did not work, saw roaches, bathroom door knob did not work, shower had a hole the size of a baseball that was covered up with tape. Had I not been day drinking I would’ve canceled and rather made the hour drive home.

- Tammie (2/5): - The rooms I paid for were supposed to be 2 king size bed delux rooms with full kitchenette. 1 room had 2 king size beds and a loveseat but mini fridge and microwave. I wasn’t upset about that but the air conditioning was awful. However, our second room originally had 2 full size beds and was filthy. They moved us to a room with 2 queen size beds a full size refrigerator and microwave still not a kitchenette as was in photos. It was filthy. We even found items of clothing that did not belong to us. Grass and weeds was awful. The fence around the pool was rusted rotten iron posts. The pool furniture was falling apart. This place has potential but needs a lot of TLC. Don’t even think you can do laundry either. 1 washer and dryer in a nasty room with an old lamp for a light. Many safety and fire hazards. I will say the young lady who checked us in was very nice and tried her best to get us accommodations. The manager came in the next morning and we were able to check out and she refunded most of our money so we could find another hotel. She was very understanding and helpful. Nice location though.

- Ferguson (1/5): It could be decent if you’re on a budget, but never again - Close to the beach and restaurants and stores Definitely needs a upgrade when we checked in the tv did not work we were in room 8 and the TV was registered for room 12 management told us that somebody had took the remote and they’ve been switching around TVs from room to room. It was OK cause I had entertainment for my kids. I had my PS five and I was able to hook it up, luckily but the TV still was not working. Later on in the night there is a couple checking in and putting all their stuff in the room and this room was number 11 all this happened last night after checking in. I only stayed one night but room 11 that a couple were staying in. They were getting their stuff and getting ready to lay down and they found bedbugs. The whole room was infested with bedbugs after I was told that there was bedbugs in the room. I immediately checked and didn’t find anything but I already I paid for my room and I know I wasn’t gonna get a refund for it so luckily it was just for one night but I will not be staying there again. The family that checked in last night was gone by 8 AM this morning. I won’t be staying at this place ever again

No Bed bug thank god but did have Roaches husband had one crawling on leg smh microwave and stove was clean. Did have food in the oven we headed out for the day. To came back bathroom was flooded with water on the floor l We let office know he just came mopped it up but still water was coming out slowly, it was for Easter weekend .. - Lori (4/5): Needs a lot of work, but we at least felt safe here. - Accessibility to the bay and area restaurants was excellent. The owner (?) was wonderful and kind/helpful, as was the gentleman who does maintenance work on the property. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. It was quite chilly while we were there and the heat/air in the room doesn't work properly. Fortunately, the maintenance man (owner?) brought us a space heater that heated the room great! Aside from clean linens, I'm pretty sure nothing else gets cleaned by housekeeping. The floors were filthy (a glob of food was smudged on the floor under the table), doors and switch plates don't look like they've ever been wiped down, let alone sanitized between guests. I believe the property was fairly recently bought by new owners, so I understand it takes a while to make improvements. A coat of paint would go a long way, as well as some good ol' soap and water.

- Charles (2/5): - I would like my full refund for this room! Upon checking in at the front desk, Linda, who works there told me she would upgrade me to a room that actually has hot running water. When I came to the room the bed was filthy, the pull out couch was dirty and had food crumbs all over it, the night stand lamp was old and dirty, and the shower handle was broken and just hanging off. I ended up leaving the hotel after 5 minutes and driving straight to the airport to sleep in my rental car. Linda at the front desk said that she would confirm everything that I just wrote in order for me to receive my full refund for this room. I also have pictures that I can send over. - naomi (4/5): Unsatisfied - Morning had a very difficult time we had neighbors that were constantly fighting reported it to the manager and nothing was done. We will not stay here again.
- Williams (3/5): Not staying there again. Had to pay $25 pet deposit in cash - The location was ok. There were crickets in the room, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, it was too noisy to sleep, AC was extremely loud.
- THERESE (8/5): Older property, but very clean inside - Although the property is fairly old, and not that attractive to look at from the outside, the room and bed and towels were all very clean! Unfortunately there was no cream or sugar packets in the room for an early morning coffee, so we had to wait until office opened and they were able to provide us with some "loose" creamer from a big container and some packets of sugar.

- Bennett (1/5): Beware! - Very Disappointing! The property looks nothing like the picture posted! There was mold in the AC unit with thick dust on top of it, mold or spilled oil under the kitchen cabinet, and broken tiles in the bathroom. When you stepped on the tile, water would come out from under the tiles, the door had black tape on the lock. When I first checked in, the front desk person was very nice. She was rude after asking for a refund. She knew the condition of the room, but she gave it to me anyway. I've learned my lesson. You get what you pay for.

- Diana (2/5): Disgusting, do not book - BLACK MOLD - From the pictures I thought this would be a nice stay which is exactly why I booked. Close to the water and had two queen beds. We checked in late, at 11pm. I paid for a two night stay with two adults and two children. Upon entering the room it reeked of mildew. I scoped around and I’m going to let these photos I post speak for themselves. This place needs to be shut down by a health inspector because there is no way that staying here could be legal. MOLD all in the restroom and a leaking toilet, hair from the previous occupants. Shower drain cover with no screws on it. Bugs galore. Dust and dirt everywhere. This place is just to say the least, DISGUSTING. We did not even stay one night, we packed up and left and booked at La Quinta just down the road, and that place was amazing, book at La Quinta instead. Don’t waste your money here. Especially with kids or elderly.
- Teresa (8/5): - This place fits our needs well especially for the price. Staff are EXCELLENT. It is our second stay here. Big improvements from the last stay as they are always working to upgrade. Kid & Pet friendly. Pool with cabanas is nice. Good location for the beach, tourists shops, museums & more. Good place to stay. We'll be back!

- Nancy (8/5): It was a clean relaxing place to stay for travelers. - The rooms were surprisingly clean for the clean for this room rate. The front desk worker was kind and welcoming. The pool water was clear blue just like the pictures. It’s an old, well cared for property. Ddfinitely a family value! We found some rusted parts to pool fence & furniture. We recognized this was so close to the bay & beach that it is likely normal wear.

- Tracy (10/5): - Old fashioned motel currently under renovation. Nice location. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms were sparkling, and so was the pool.
- Judy (4/5): - Bed was comfortable although toilet are in bathroom and shower was very small. No wiggle room at all. Did see a couple of small roaches and large amount of flies. Lamp at bedside did not work, door handle stuck so had to be very cautious that it locked when leaving
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The front desk staff was friendly and the view was pretty . Now as far as the room well when we walked into it one of the beds was so close to the door that I had to push the bed over just so it won’t brush against it. Later that night when we got back to room I went to the shower and seen hairs in the bathtub still. Also it said non smoking but the covers on both beds had cigarette burns and they really didn’t look clean. Then beds were too firm for me so I woke up in so much pain.
- Robert (4/5): - The room was not well represented from the website. The entry door a 1 inch gap the length of the door. The floor next to the shower had a 5x1 gap from floor to wall. I was charged almost $500 for 2 nights. I asked the desk person and I was informed the room was $80 a night. I’m a loyal customer to Hotels.com. I DO NOT remember the room being $197 on the app. I’m very disappointed.
