- Verified traveler (4/5): Over booked - I rented a double queen room with a sofa sleeper and when I arrived at the property they provided me with one queen and a sofa sleeper. I told them that this is not what I rented and they said there were no other rooms available and that all was over booked. Room #327

- Laurel (4/5): - Dirty walls, dirty light fixtures, dirty baseboards, and (we assume) toothpaste on walls in the bathroom. The shower tap pulled off when i went to turn on the shower. Pink mold and green oxidation or mold on shower head. Bathroom floor had hair and dust all over the area arpund the toilet. Wall hook for towel hanging off the wall. Black mold spots on plastic shower curtain. They should be cloth, in my opinion. Window curtains stained with dark spots. The pool looked gross and dirty, but it was not marked as closed. I asked when we left if the pool was closed and they said yes. Cover it it keep it clean but allowing it to get filthy is unsightly and unprofessional.

- Superdave57 (2/5): One of the Worst Marriott Properties - I'm Lifetime Titanium Elite with Marriott so I'm in one thier properties every week. When I checked in Tiffany was on the phone and there was another woman behind the desk with 3 kids. When I checked in Tiffany was very friendly. I got to my room and the thermostat didn't work. There was no display on the wall unit. I go back down and Tammy says that the unit under the window is the control. I go back up and tak a picture of of the sign on the window unit that says this has been disconnected and to us the one on the wall. I go down a 2nd time and she sent another lady up with me to check it out, but the lady leaves me before I get to my room so she could go the 3rd floor. They finally moved me to another room. At no point during this chaos did a manager come out to speak to me. Nothing. Then when I went to use a coffee cup in the room, the lid was way too small. The guy at the front desk said the vendor must have sent the wrong lids. So you knowingly put it in the guest room? Again, no one called to check on my stay. We got impending snow that night but the hotel did nothing to prepare the parking lot the night before or the next day. I checked out and went to the Embassy Suites where I had a totally opposite experience. Stay anywhere but here!

- Francois (2/5): Terrible xperience, i should have read oth advises - Terrible experience with this hotel booked via Hotels.com. We arrived at 10:20 PM and waited 15 minutes for someone to assist us. A man finally arrived and went to fetch two women who seemed to have never done a check-in before. They eventually told me that the room I paid for had been given to someone else but that they would upgrade me. 20 minutes later, another woman (more pleasant) arrived, started over from scratch, and reached the same conclusion but did not mention the upgrade. After making us wait for so long, we ended up going to a room, but it was not the one we had booked. I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Instead, it was just a regular room with a sofa bed. We went back down, it was 11:30 PM, and no solution was offered to us, and even a refund seemed impossible to them. After involving Hotels.com, the cancellation was finally processed correctly, it was past midnight, and we had to find another room… I forgot to mention: no manager could be called, the tone was aggressive, and they told Hotels.com that there would be penalties… in short, an experience far from what you would expect from this hotel!

- scottygator94 (4/5): “Pleasanton”? Anything but! - I checked in on a Wednesday evening and was assigned a room where the door was off-frame. I had to put my shoulder into it to open it, and had to lift it up to close it from the inside. When I left the room to go back out to my car, it was impossible to close it. See the pics… This could not have been unknown by the staff, but the desk person on duty actually tried to feign surprise when I requested another room. I was assigned another room closer to the first floor side entrance that smelled like a wet dog, but at this point, I just wanted to get in and spend my one night here before leaving the next morning. However, even this door had issues: it looked like someone had tried to break in, or Management had to force themselves in for some reason previously. See the pics (I also want to mention that the next morning, the original room door still had not been closed). I know this place is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, but when it’s a Marriott brand, I expect a lot better. This place was awful, the only saving grace was breakfast (which was pretty well prepared). Otherwise, this place would’ve gotten one star at best. and oh, by the way, if you enter from the side entrance (closest to the Chili’s), be careful of the 2+ foot drop just off the sidewalk. That is a personal-injury lawsuit waiting to happen. Even if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy points member, just stay somewhere else if you have to spend the night in Pleasanton. Or drive back up to San Antonio. The choice is yours, but avoid this place.

Our toilet did not flush and we had to be switched rooms . The bathroom fan on ceiling was black from all the dust that had never been cleaned … we stayed at this hotel because it had the best rating in Pleasanton. Will not be staying here in the future .

- williamjI2511WJ (2/5): Worst Hotel in Texas - This is an extremely dirty hotel. The walls, floors, and ceiling were all dirty. I found hair in my bed, on the pillows, and in the shower. Decorative pillow was reused! The pool was green and had algae growing in the pool; the outside was not properly taken care of. Headphones and dust bunnies behind the bed. The microwave was not cleaned and mirror was not wiped.

We had to try and keep him on bed to prevent him from getting dirty. The room smelled bad if mildew. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Just room was so gross.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property, itself was beautiful. The rooms are incredibly clean and the housekeeping staff is top notch. However, I am still waiting for a dispute to be settled as I booked my trip and paid through Orbitz, the hotel then charged the card I left on file for "incidentals" a day after I left, for the full amount of the stay. I contacted the property several times and the manager would never return my phone calls. I even checked out in-person to be sure that my card would not be charged. I stood in front of the desk clerk as she spoke to her manager on the phone and I was ASSURED there would be no charge to my card. I recommend this property, but be careful about how you pay!! And if you need to speak with the manager, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait.

- Steven (8/5): Texas Travelers - We were pleased with the room at the Fairfield, and the front desk staff person was very friendly and efficient. We did find that our sheets had a torn area, the shower had mildew, and the white towels were dingy and yellowish. I would not mention these things except this is a Marriott property and a more expensive room. After two recent stays at more reputable hotel chains (Marriott and Radisson) that were disappointing, I think the budget hotels are more preferable, especially for those who are budget conscious and might want to save their money for other things on their travels like food and entertainment.

Elevator was dingy and trash on the floor. Best thing was in the shower they had builder in shampoo/ conditioner/body wash a plus.. Kim who checked us was extremely nice young woman.. she made us feel welcomed. Overall would stay again.. it wasn’t the best place but not the worst.. they were serving breakfast but we didn’t have a chance to try..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Customer Service a Thing of the Past - Initial entry- front desk lady never smiled. I seemed to be a nuisance to her. Twice said if any damage I would be charged. Like if she expected it. She went through the motions but I never felt welcomed. Check-in was quick. Room was warm. I turned on AC and left. Upon return it was cold. Elevator a bit slow even though only 3 floors.

- CLARENCE (10/5): Best lodging in town! - Fairfield rocked! Beautiful lobby and facility. E were in the double queen with additional living room space with large couch that included a bed. A cool added touch was that the TV in both rooms had a welcome message with my name on home screen. We loved the breakfast, even though I had planned to do bkfst in the area to take in the local cuisine, the kids and I couldn’t resist the breakfast bar each morn. The pool area was equally impressive. Definitely recommend this modern property. I’ve stayed in several in town when visiting family, Fairfield is best, no contest!
- Cassi (8/5): Okay for our purpose. - The Hotel itself was clean and front desk staff friendly. Breakfast, even during COVID, was plentiful and employee in the area was very nice. Unfortunately, the room could have been better. A/C unit was extremely loud. Toilet ran off and on all night. Shower curtain liner was moldy with pink mold and soap scum all over it. I did tell the front desk staff member on that way out that it needed to be replaced and he was very kind, receptive and apologetic. The rest of the room and bathroom were very clean, however. We are not complainers so we just accepted it was what is was, especially during these COVID times, but I still wanted to bring the shower curtain to their attention. We would stay at the hotel again, but would probably make sure we were in a different room. :) We were only there for one quick night to lay our heads on the way down to the Ocean so it was fine.

Our first room was not very clean in the bathroom, mold in the bathtub, shower handle broke off in my hand, scorpions, and sticky wet feeling carpet. The second room, A/C was very loud. Hallway lighting was a mess, trash on the floor, the ice machine makes clanky noises. I wish I could submit the pictures I took.

- johnvR2768NI (10/5): Good Hotel - Good brand new Fairfield. We stayed here while visiting San Antonio. The Wifi was good, pool was nice, breakfast was good with a large area. Staff was friendly. Workout room looked nice. Rooms were actually pretty spacious for the price. Would stay again.
- visa (6/5): hotel could be cleaner - Elevator floor was dirty when we arrived and still looked the same the next morning. We have had better breakfast at Fairfield then this hotel.
- 633taral (4/5): No water & filthy gym - The staff are very friendly here, however I was quite disappointed that when I went to work out in the gym there were no sanitation wipes for the equipment. Equipment was filthy. In addition, there was no water in the dispenser at the gym nor outside at the fountain. When I mentioned it to the employee up front- they said they’d been telling their manager of those exact issues but no resolution.

Disappointed that there were pictures and posts online of a game room but at the hotel it didn’t exist. There was a room labeled game room, but was just a meeting room. Would have been a nice feature since it was to cold to swim.

Heard elevator all night. Despite having a do not disturb sign on my door, housekeeping came knocking at like 8:30...well before checkout time.

I know what’s causing the noise because when I called the front desk, they already knew there was a problem. But they rented me the room anyway...and they don’t have any other rooms...

- gloria (8/5): Traveler - It was fine. Service was good. Wish they had liquid creamers and more than 1 cup of regular coffee in the room. If you use Splenda, bring it. They do t have any here. Also, their store had minimal stock- no AA batteries so we had to run to Walmart which is minutes away.
