- Svyatoslav (10/5): - Дуже сподобався громадський онсен під відкритим небом. Та онсен у власному номері. Широкий асортимент "шведського столу" у ресторані приємно вражає. Ікра, морепродукти, делікатесне м'ясо, смачний десерт. Були страви майже с кожного куточку світу. На таких вечерях можна сміливо проводити святкові заходи. Хоча готель в деяких місцях потребує оновлення, готель все одно створює атмосферу справжнього домашнього затишку. Поєднавши в собі традиційний японський стиль та сучасний комфорт. В номері було тепло, навіть без користування кондиціонера. Дуже комфортно спалося. А на вулиці було свіже морозне повітря. Персонал також був дуже привітний. Сподобалась навіть залізнична станція. Таке відокремлене від світу місце, з обох сторін оточене тунелями. Готель та місцевість на якийсь час перенесла мене додому. У щасливі спокійні і мирні часи!

- Eri (7/5): 満足。家族皆、満足でした。 - 料理が思っていたよりも種類があって、どれも美味しかったのが良かった。 また、恐らく雷(天候)による急な停電が生じた瞬間がありましたが、やっていたゲームの料金の返金をフロントにてスムーズにしてくださり、その対応の早さもよかった。 露天風呂の、B1の方がシャワーの勢いが弱すぎるところが何ヵ所もあり、長い髪や体を洗うのに物凄く時間がかかった。また、ドライヤーの設置数ももう少しあるとありがたかった です。
- Hiroaki (1/5): ひどく残念だった - 大浴場は良かった 子供のアレルギーへの対応が予約時の備考欄に記載して、電話でも確認したにもかわらず、全くされなかった。 １日目の夕食が酷かった(「対応する」と聞いて予約を決めたがアレルギー表などはなく、料理に記載されているものもほとんどでたらめだった)ので朝食はキャンセルして返金して欲しいと伝えたが、この予約サイトを使用しているため返金出来ないのと、アレルギー対応した朝食を用意するので安心して食べて欲しいと言われたので、朝食をとりに行ったが、アレルギーの子供2人いるのに1人分しか用意されてないし、幼児への食事にからしやワサビが乗ってるし、肉に虫が入っていた。最後に「お詫びに」と渡された菓子にも「アレルギーなので食べられない」と散々言っていたものが入っていて、驚いた。 部屋も汚く、冷蔵庫からは水が漏れていた。(スイッチが切れていたらしい) 布団は薄くて腰が痛くなった。 窓からの景色は廃墟だらけ、館内もエントランスロビーは綺麗にされていたが、それ以外はそこら辺にカビやシミがあり、廃墟のような感じだった。

- Russell (4/5): - We accidentally booked a Smoking room and when we got to our room it was absolutely disgusting. The sheets were dirty and had stains on them, and the room was unbearably stinky. My wife has asthma so we needed to change rooms. When we asked the front desk if we could switch to a non-smoking room, they claimed the hotel was full and that was impossible. The parking lot was empty and it was very obviously not full, but they insisted we used some spray on the smoking room as a solution.. I explained that didn’t work for us and we are happy to pay more if needed to switch to a non-smoking room. The women at the front desk was trying really hard to be accommodating, but was answering to a man in the back room who refused to come out and speak with us. After almost an hour of back and forth, they simply switched us to a non-smoking room, which was all we needed in the first place. We felt very disrespected and it was truly horrible customer service. The non-smoking room was slightly better, but the onsens at the hotel were disgusting and the whole hotel smelled like an old motel. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel for our third night rather than staying there. The river view from the room was nice, but that’s about it. I would highly recommend going to a different hotel in the area.

- Verified traveler (10/5): 훌륭한 저녁식사, 일본 노천 온천, 다다미방 저렴한 가격으로 (석식 선택 필수) - 장단점이 명확한 도전적인 숙소였습니다. 단점은 조금의 더러움도 용납할 수 없다면 거르시면 됩니다. 일단 저는 매우 만족했습니다. 가격은 석식 옵션 포함해도 상당히 저렴합니다. 직원들은 친절 했고, 석식 뷔페는 구성 및 신선도가 매우 훌륭합니다. 노천탕 포함 온천도 이용할 수 있습니다. 에어컨 잘 작동하고 방도 넓은 편이어서 쾌적 했습니다. 다른 리뷰에서 시설 컨디션이 좋지 않다는 평을 들어서 각오하고 갔습니다. 시설이 낙후되서 어쩔수 없는 부분이 있지만 청소는 최대한 되어 있었습니다. '본사에서 리모델링을 했으면 어떠했을까?' 라는 생각도 있지만 근처의 폐업한 여러 리조트를 보니 나름 사정이 있겠지요. 침몰해가는 배에서 직원들이 필사적 노력으로 유지하는 느낌? 최근 간 숙소 중에서 가장 인상적이었습니다. 석식 옵션은 꼭 포함시키세요.
- Tomoko (10/5): - 7/25に宿泊しました。 大変お世話になりました 家族で2部屋を予約しました。 どちらも部屋風呂付きでした。 階は別々でしたが、特に不便では無かったのですが1部屋のエアコンが効かずフロントへ連絡しました。すぐに対応してくださり故障かもしれませんとの事。暑い日だったので、不安な気持ちが広がりました。すると、チェックインで対応してくださったスタッフの方が 「もしよろしければ、お部屋の変更も可能ですがいかがなさいますか？」と。 お部屋のアップグレードの提案でした。すでにお風呂に温泉を溜めていたので申し訳なかったのですが、、快くお部屋を案内してくださいました。どちらのお部屋も自由に使ってOKとのこと…！子ども達をエアコンの効かないお部屋で入浴させていただき、その後部屋を移動させていただきました。そのお陰で夕飯も遅れる事なくスムーズに伺えました！ まさかのセミスイートのお部屋に子ども達も大喜びでした。朝夕のバイキングも充実していたし、温泉も最高でした。4.5回入湯しました。 大浴場には行っていませんが、時間に余裕があれば行きたかったです。 老舗ホテルをリノベーションしてあるのでピカピカのホテルとはまた雰囲気が違いますが、 夜は静かだしレストラン会場も混み混みせずで とても過ごしやすかったです。 コスパがとにかく良い。 スタッフの方々お世話になりました。 ありがとうございました。

- Linda (8/5): Good and bad - The onsen and the food is wonderful! Onsen are amazingly beautiful and the meals have so much interesting variety. There is an arcade room for kids. Location is lovely but far from easy transportation. There is a small train stop that's a 12 minute walk but an hour train ride to main train station in Nikko. Resort lobby, restaurant meals, and onsen are great but much of the resort is in need of renovation. Due to the nature of the rain and humidity, there are many areas of mold on ceilings and a musty odor as well as stained carpet and walls. This problem does not seem to be unique to this resort as much of the area seem to be in need of upkeep, so I don't know if any other lodging in Nikko would be different. The bathroom in our room had a foul odor and a large area of mold damage to the ceiling above the toilet. Somehow, (may be my own error in booking) we ended up in a smoking room. The whole floor and our room smelled of cigarettes the whole stay, day and night. And the futon beds are very thin and not too comfortable. Manager apologized for the discomfort but couldn't do anything about it. This area is beautiful but it's easily an hour off the beaten path by train and 1/2 hour by taxi which isn't easy getting help to arrange and gotaxi app doesn't work out there. It seems like they trade off for getting amazing food and onsen for a good price, is the musty, old, rundown state of the rooms and the inconvenience of location. I would still recommend but be aware that you will travel more out of the way and will face some mold and mustiness. Other reviews were misleading that the rundown aspects of the resort have been resolved.

Thankful for the refund but we wasted 2hrs of our time to trying to find other accommodation during prime time in the area, it was late in the evening after an exhausting day with no dinner.

- Juliann (4/5): - This place is falling apart at the seams. The property is old and musty with bugs. The food was passable but it’s one of very few choices in the area. The onsen bath takes literally hours to fill (8-10 inches per hour) and the location is so remote it takes several trains which run once an hour at most. Staff are lovely but avoid this place!!

- Dylan (5/5): Public Showers Only at the Onsen, Only Book of you rented a Car - I liked the food. Only tried the dinner. It is buffet style and doesn’t change night to night. I thought the tempura was decent. Should be something there for most people. I think the staff were friendly. Even though they didn’t speak much English, they were able to communicate very effectively. Most of all, I would say the lack of a shower or bath on the room. This was not clear at all from the Booking.com listing, since it said there is a private bathroom. It should just say there is a toilet and that is all. If you want to bathe during your stay, you will need to do it at the onsen, where there are no private showers. If you wish to use the onsen anyway, this isn’t a big issue. The establishment is pretty clearly in need of some renovation as well. The wallpaper is peeling off everywhere you look and it is quite smoky. Also not the cleanest, but it was rather inexpensive. Also, it is not easy to reach via public transportation. I booked it thinking I would be able to commute to Nikko and do sightseeing. The trains and busses are infrequent and the connections are not very good. I ended up spending a lot of time sitting at the train stations that were in the middle of nowhere. It would probably be fine if you are renting a car.

- Ulf (8/5): - Erstmal, das Zimmer war super und auch sauber. Hatten das Zimmer mit eigenem Onsenzuber. Personal war freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Buffet morgens und abends auch reichhaltig. Alles gut. Aber das Resort war schon sehr heruntergekommen. Flecken auf Teppichen im Flur, Tapeten müssten auch mal neu, das kann schon abschreckend wirken. Züge in der Station in der Nähe fahren ca stündlich Richtung Nikko mit 2 mal umsteigen und kurzen Umsteigezeiten. Tolle Wandermöglichkeiten an der Ryuokyo Gorge in der Nähe. Aber es gibt sicher deutlich bessere Unterkünfte in der sehr schönen Gegend.

I really enjoyed the onsen. The biggest problem with the resort is that its dirty example would be mold all over the walls and hallways. The building is falling apart. It needs major renovations!!!!!!
- Haruka (2/5): - とにかく汚すぎる。温泉の水捌けも悪い。足場も悪くカラーコーンがたくさん置いてあった。部屋の床も沈んでいた。サウナもあると書いてあったが、男女入れ替え制で両方の温泉にはついていない。そんなことも書いてなかった。最悪でした。
- Maiko (4/5): - 基本的に古い造りなのは仕方ないとして、部屋の入口のドアの鍵に不具合があるのは困る。とても古いドアで、内側から施錠をすると開けられない。たまたま夫がルームキーを持って外へ出ていたので、それで開けてもらえたが、寝るときにもドアに施錠ができないため不安だった。 また、施設全体的に整理整頓がされておらず、段ボールや椅子などぐちゃぐちゃと置かれているのが気になった。 夫の誕生日祝いのため今回宿泊したが、事前に「お祝いのメッセージカードのようなものをどこかに添えてほしい」とリクエストしたが返信はなく、結局最後まで何も対応はなかった。 食事はビュッフェ式だが種類が少なく、美味しくはない。浴場設備は古いが、泉質はよく、お肌がツルツルになった。
- jane (4/5): - Booked this property for private onsen, emailed them to get information and no ine got back, on arrival no sayna and no private onsen and no reason given, room was very nice but hotel is dated and needs a good clean
- Pierre (4/5): - the building is in bad shape, badly needs to be overhauled, but being a bubble investement it's too big thus unlikely to ever earn a corresponding income. The public outside baths are refreshing but again the inside connected facilities require repair. The onsen water i apprreciated.
- Sau Ngan (6/5): - While it's very reasonably priced, this place is not well connected in terms of public transportation, and is very tired and old. Better to stay in Nikko town if time is a constraint.
