Roxanne (10/5): - Our recent stay at The Old Silent Inn was simply magical—a truly perfect slice of Yorkshire country life! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by this 400-year-old inn, which manages to blend historic character with comfortable, modern amenities. The location is exceptional, nestled quietly just a short distance from Haworth, in the stunning Bronte Country. For walkers, it's an absolute dream, sitting right near the Pennine Way and only three miles from the historic village of Haworth and the famous Brontë Parsonage Museum.

Sonia (10/5): Weekend break - The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal here which was excellent , menu above average pub menu. The bed was really comfortable , the bedding smelt so fresh. The shower was powerful and hot. Enjoyed an ample breakfast with menu choice for the smaller appetite. Taxi to Haworth only cost £7.00
Beth (6/5): - The stay was over all ok. Our problem was the sink in our room, the plug got stuck in and silver surround around the plug was off, it was on the edge of sink. Water was very peaty abd looked dirty, didn't dare use it for drinking for ourselves or our dog. Today the chef didn't know how to make poached eggs so had to pick alternative. Overall the food and staff were good but thecwhole place needs an overhaul. Window pane seals gone, guttering needs repairing. Got doaked walking through yhe entrance from water gushing from guttering. Outside areas need a tidy up. Weeds everywhere. Dead flowers in hanging baskets from last year by the look of them. Its the 3rd time we have stayed here but we think it will be our last unfortunately.

Heather (8/5): - Mainly pleasant stay except for the miniscule shower room with no hand soap provided and only cold or lukewarm water from the shower. I asked the staff to look at the shower but they were unable to resolve this issue. Not fun for a whole week.

We had our tea here and breakfast both were excellent quality and delicious. Really great location to get the bus into Haworth. Honestly will be staying here again. 5* Inn, full of character and a really good bar.
Lanita (6/5): - No window in bathroon and only a skylight in bedroom. Bathroom sink was tiny, and toilet was is a very narrow space. The room had not been refreshed during our stay. For the price breakfast should have been included. Also not given prior notice of a power cut due all day. It's fortunate we were able to make arrangements .

Cathy (8/5): Authentic Yorkshire Stay - Old worlde B&B with lots of character and original features. Spacious double room with window seat and great views, kettle with tea and coffee/biscuits/bottled water. Clean bedding and towels. Welcoming and friendly staff, good quality full breakfast.

Interesting history and intriguing 'coin tree'. Friendly staff. My grand daughter & I enjoyed our night's stay en route to Embsay Station for steam train ride. Would like to have stayed longer.

Timothy (2/5): Ripped off in britain - We never got to stay as the hotel rang the morning of our booking and informed us that a fire on Friday had damaged the heating system and that they would have to cancel our booking. Hotels.com won’t now refund our fee, we feel ripped off and disillusioned with both parties.
Robert (8/5): Delightful old Inn - My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Old silent Inn. The people who work there are extremely friendly and pleasant. the food was very good. Given that it is an old inn, it has loads of character, however this does mean that the room facilities are not as per modern day - the bathroom was 'Snug' and the water pressure was rather low. However, my wife and I were happy to accept this so we could enjoy the character of the place.

Slept very well, comfortable bed and quiet. Only downside was the bathroom, a bit narrow with only a small hand basin and the shower hot water fluctuated whilst u were taking a shower. Having said that I would definitely stay again, but a different room

Verified traveler (10/5): Rural Hideaway - The Inn is a quiet, 400 yr old hideaway. Clean, warm and cosy and the food is very good and great value. The location is a little isolated so a car is necessary - do you homework on the map before selecting. The bathrooms are are tight but remember this it no big city modern hotel so set your expectations accordingly. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at The Silent Inn on 4 Jan 20 and would recommend anybody to visit either just for a drink, meal or overnight. The staff are all extremely helpful and most welcoming. The Inn is a delight; very clean, warm and cosy and the food is second to none. All home produced and cooked to order so don't expect your breakfast on the table as soon as you sit down, it is cooked while you wait and it is definitely worth the wait. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable - we will definitely be back.

john (10/5): Haworth 1960 weekend. - If you like the quietness,great location, stunning views and good food and local drinks then this is the place to book. Bunny rabbits and sheep are the theme of this inn. Will definitely book again.
Verified traveler (8/5): Outstanding hospitality - The friendliest hospitality with hosts who went out of their way to please. Delicious and plentiful food at both dinner and breakfast. Great location and beautiful building. Had a family room that had a double plus day bed and put-you-up, which to be honest wasn’t ideal. Upstairs could do with a general update and bathroom refurbed (which was very small). Room felt/looked clean though. Despite negatives, I would definitely stay again.
Bev (10/5): Hill top gem - Visiting from Calgary Alberta, I accidentally booked this hotel thinking it was right in Haworth, it is not and you will need a car or prepare for a long walk. Fantastic hospitality, amazing food, was glad to make this mistake and will return when we visit family again.

Rusticles (2/5): Lovely situation but unlovely accommodation! - Upon arrival at the Old Silent Inn we were shown to Room 11 which was totally unsuitable - no window just a small skylight - no wardrobe just a metal clothes rack, and grubby looking bed linen. My husband immediately decided that we would not be staying in that room. There were no other rooms available, so we had to rush round to find other accommodation for that night. Not a good start to our first visit to this part of the country. We have stayed in hotels etc. all over the world and this was the first time we have walked away from accommodation! Cannot comment on the food as we didn't sample it!
Michael (10/5): One of, if not the best place we've ever stayed. - I have to admit, my wife and I were a bit worried when we arrived at this remote inn in the Yorkshire Dales. However as soon as we entered we were treated like royalty. The staff bent over backwards to help us in any way; from the moment we arrived to the moment we left two days later. The rooms throughout were what one would expect from a centuries old inn, but they were neat and clean and the 'family room' we'd booked turned out to be very spacious and comfortable. On our first night we decided to try the restaurant, and this too turned out to be a treat. The food was first class, so much so, that we didn't hesitate to book a table for the following night. As we left my wife looked at me and said "We've stayed in hotels all over the world, but that was the best place we've ever stayed. I agreed.

Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - A beaiutiful location, friendly owners and staff... but our room - beautiful fireplace notwithstanding - had a shower room/WC in need of total replacement - poor layout and fittings, looked neglected and had not been cleaned properly. Dinner and breakfast were ok but overall, a big disappointment. What a pity.
