Guest Reviews
- Mohsen (1/5): Disappointed experience - Not any good point I honestly don’t know how this hotel is rated as three stars. It’s not even close—it felt more like a low-end motel, and even that would be generous.
I checked in at 3 PM, and the air conditioner didn’t work at all. I spent the entire first night trying to get help—calling the reception, calling Booking.com, trying everything—but no one fixed it. I couldn’t sleep until 5 AM, and it completely ruined the start of my trip. I had planned to go to Tomorrowland for three days, but this horrible first night threw everything off.
On top of that, the room didn’t have even the most basic essentials: no glasses to drink water, no shampoo, no conditioner, not even soap to wash my hands. It honestly felt like they didn’t care about guests at all.
This was a really bad experience, and I’m extremely disappointed. I would never stay here again and I strongly recommend others avoid it. Don’t waste your money or risk ruining your trip like I did.
- Seamus (1/5): Bad - Nothing ⁹
- Stephen (1/5): Bad - Rating: 1/10
“Would not stay again – very poor experience”
There were no staff around at check-in or during the stay, which made everything difficult. The bar was closed, no food was available, and even when the room was cleaned, the bed sheets weren’t changed. The room was way too hot with no air conditioning, and there were stains all over the carpets. I also left with a lot of bites, which made me really uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel felt neglected and unclean. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
- Stefan (10/5): Very happy there with golf club nearby. Understand it will revert to hospital recuperation soon - Very convenient just in room 304 the shower tube was split! Convenient and clean
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Clean, good location suitable for the purpose of our trip No restaurant except for breakfast. The bar staff member was also the receptionist!

- Farzaneh (7/5): acceptable - Big room and comfy bed, nice staff, close to hospital which I had meeting but a bit far from downtown but easy to get there with 1 hour on the bus! it was difficult to find the entrance and the taxi needed to go a few rounds till we managed to talk with reception on the phone to find the way
- Derk (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Natalia (5/5): Passable -
- Felipe (10/5): Perfectly close to the University campus - Second time I stay there for work, it’s so conveniently located next to the hospital and the university! The rooms are massive and really clean. The sink in the bathroom was a bit clogged, might benefit from some chemical treatment
- Lekše (6/5): Pleasant -
- Finola (8/5): Very good - Perfect location as we came for a hospital visit and it was only a 5 minute walk away. Very comfortable and clean, great sized room and I've already booked a return visit. Just a few small inconveniences.
I would have like some extra toiletries, there was just a soap dispenser on the wall. The bathroom was a wet room with no curtain so whole floor was soaked after shower.
Often no one at reception and you had to phone to ask someone to come. On checkout we phoned and waited but eventually just left our key and departed.
- Jabeen (8/5): Very good - I loved the accessibility it offered to the place of my conference. The room was really clean with an exceptional room service.
- Çağlar (3/5): Mediocre - I liked that it was close to the hospital. A strange hotel with no water bootle in the room. Unfortunately, the kitchen hygiene is terrible. You can see the dirt from the previous meal time on the cutlery that you want to choose during breakfast.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -

Reception desk unprofessional and not clear about parking cards
- Owoade (8/5): Good staffs always willing to help they even lend an iphknr charger - Alright for his value
- Felix (9/5): Comfortable and good price, hard to reach as google maps send you in the different entrance - Great value for price, very comfortable beds No shower wall/glass
- Felipe (8/5): Perfect for UZA or University workers, far from downtown. - Location very convenient if you are going to UZA or the University, only minute away to the bus station that takes you downtown, but the trip is 40-50 min.
There is not too much to do other than that, there is a bistro, coffee shop and supermarket within the hospital that are not on google maps, that are quite convenient if you don’t want to travel all the way downtown. Breakfast buffet quite expensive for what it was, not sure if it’s worth it.
Personal was ok, not the nicest that I have encountered, but could be a cultural difference.
- Bartosz (8/5): Very good - large room
free of charge parkin place
quiet place
- Irina (8/5): Very good -
- Marzena (8/5): Very good - rooms are clean and comfortable and there is enough space
hotel is very close to UZA hospital - you can walk there and it takes 5 min
breakfasts are really good Hotel does not have rooms for more than 2 people - so if you are travelling as family for example with child who is over 4 years - you need to book 2 rooms.
Hotel does not have restaurant to eat lunch or dinner.
- Iris (10/5): Nice hotel, good facilities and helpful staff - The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel main purpose is to accommodate patients from the University Hospital, however anybody can stay here. The breakfast and the kitchen staff were excellent, the room and bathroom were very clean. Lovely environment with lots of well kept plants 👍 That they did not offered lunch or dinner, although you can take a 10 min walk and go to a nearby restaurant. The price of a taxi or Uber to get to the City center was around €30
- Frederik (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bahar (7/5): Good - Nice breakfast
- Tongsheng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bradley (7/5): Good -
- Christine (5/5): Rooms too warm and some staff unacceptable - Most of the staff was nice, clean rooms The rooms were way too warm. Even after I asked for a cooler room temperature, they were still at 22 degree C. And humidity of zero…
Secondly, I went for breakfast one morning (16,50€!), and they were out of fruit salad. The reply to me asking for more was: cut your own. Then they gave me a sharp knife from the kitchen and I had to cut my own fruit salad… must I say more?
- Marie-louise (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (5/5): Basic business hotel -
- Darie (8/5): Very good -
- Sebastian (9/5): Good price value option next to UZA - Very near (actually almost part of the building) to the University Hospital (UZA). Free parking without problems. Very nice reception staff. No 24h reception (in the nighttime you have to call them via a phone), sonewhat less nice breakfast staff.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Toon (9/5): Superb - Vertaal goodwill locaties
Vertaal muche to chouse
Good service
- Tony (4/5): Disappointing - It was in part of a hospital
- Brendan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ludolph (1/5): traumatic - mortuarium
- Rachael (7/5): Good -
- Marius (7/5): Good -
- Jan (8/5): Excellent value for money - Quality of the bed
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice staff, very clean hôtel
- Brendan (6/5): Pleasant - Receptionist the next day was helpful Arrived to the reception totally in darkness, didn’t appear to be open but was. The 2 receptionists, both young women, sat on their seats as we approached the desk and didn’t get up or greet us. They then proceeded to discuss who was going to serve us, while we waited in front of them. One finally got up and handed us our key card and said your room number is on the card. Poor, poor service.
Get to the room and the TV can’t be switched on by the remote, had to work out how to switch it in by the toggle button below.
Specifically said that EV chargers were available, reception knew little about EV charging and how it operated and the chargers were actually situated at the hospital car park adjacent to the hotel. We were given verbal directions but couldn’t find the charging points! Gave up! Surely, this is a pre-requisite of hotels today to know and provide customers with accurate info on charging and charging facilities?
- Jong (9/5): Superb -
- Liisa (10/5): Absolutely would recommend staying here! - Really fantastic hotel, large spacious rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, and a walk-in shower!
- Christopher (8/5): very good - breakfast and quietness No machines for water / drinks...
- Ronny (8/5): Very good -
- Thuvaraka (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): Too expensive for what you got -
- Colin (6/5): The hotel could do with a spruce up - We've been coming to the hotel fie a few years and we have noticed the breakfast buffet has declined a bit A bit more hot food choice
- Dirk (8/5): Very good - location close to uza room temperature
- Sarah (7/5): Good - No breakfast in the hotel. Too bad we had to leave the hotel
Having the handicap room with a red light up our head when sleeping was stressful
- Jessalyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudio (5/5): Passable -
- Goemaere (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was large.
- Aleksander (9/5): Superb -
- Manon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wojciech (10/5): Exceptional - Nice hotel, close to UZA, and with good communication to old town and Antwerp city center. Very nice nad helpfoul nad kind personel. Nothing to add.
- Georginamg (9/5): Super functional - This hotel is part of the medical center of Antwerp and the hotel is a residence for rehabilitation. That means that absolutely the whole building is wheel chair accessible. As a hotel, it means it is very spacious and incredibly clean, with good beds. Fridge is rooms. It is comfortable but had no frills, elegance or charm. Excellent comfortable and functional hotel
- Dmt68 (4/5): Clean and spacious but no food facilities! - Very clean and spacious with lovely staff. No tea or coffee making facilities. Apart from breakfast there were no food options (not even vending machines) and being on the edge of the green belt it's a very long way from the nearest shop. Bring all your food with you!
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Mustafa (5/5): Passable -
- Dinesh (5/5): Passable - it was spacious and clean, nice breakfast location was not great as probably it is more for serving hospital patients family.
- Carlos (9/5): Superb -
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dixitkumar (9/5): A good hotel just outside Antwerp - Room was spacious and clean. There was no electric kettle in the rooms.
- Mariam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (7/5): I stayed one night because I had to be at the hospital very early the next day. - They no longer have a restaurant. The hotel is situated next to the Red Cross buiilding and the Antwerp Hospital. It is principally used by patients and visitors to the hospital. There are no facilities for eating within walking distance.
My door key blocked several times and was most inconvenient.
- Enrico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Polly (5/5): like staying in a hospital with overzealous cleaners - very near the venue we were going to for a wedding. mattress was comfy room smelt of hospitals. no tea or coffee facilities in room. cleaning staff tried to enter room 1 hr before checkout and again 15 mins before check out time. breakfast was passable
- Barton (6/5): Pleasant - Location and bed Carpets were very dirty
- Deepesh (7/5): Good -
- Iryna (7/5): The price is a little high, there are small cons, but if necessary, I will use this hotel again. - Proximity to the hospital was important to me and it was. Quiet place. There was no shampoo, shower gel in the bathroom and the light was blinking there. The floor in the room was not vacuumed. You can hear the neighbors closing the bathroom door
- Nacho (9/5): Superb -
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anouar (1/5): Dirty floor of the room and the hallway, dirty sheets, hairs.. Ambulance noise. - Nothing indeed This hotel means in dutch Zorghotel and in English means literally care hotel, it is hotel for patients who are dismissed from the hospital which is also next the hotel and who needs still care by nurses. This is apparently not mentioned on Booking.com. We slept on patients bed, used bathroom of the patients. Blood or other contaminated liquids on the floor en dirty sheets. The whole floor looks so dirty.. Plus u hear now and then ambulance noises due to the location of hotel next to hospital. The price 91 euro with genius discountvalue for such hotel is unreasonable.
- Xbk93 (7/5): One night stay - New building. Room + batroom had a good size. Bed was comfortable. No tea/coffee in the room. Carpet was stained. Window was difficult to open. In summer, a duvet to keep you nice and (very) warm. Corridor was a bit noisy. Neighbours doors "banging" for free.
