- Susan (8/5): - We were disappointed by the view. This was the highlight of our vacation and we were so excited about having a room on the ocean. The single rooms only had the the warf view. I cked the reservation for the views but the video had a view of the ocean. The warf views only had views of the warf next to the boardwalk and wete not private.
- Alex (10/5): - Seaside cabins were amazing. Staff was super friendly. Resident seal would visit throughout the day. The Renfrew Pub staff and food was top notch. Will be back many more times.

- Steven Thomas (4/5): - Pictures depicted a private garden suite. Not true. The windows all opened up where everyone can see into our suite. No private fireplace as advertised. It is literally sitting out on a patio looking out onto a public dock. Check in was 3 pm and check out was 10am but the cottage was not available at 3pm and were told to go to the bar and wait until 315 to 330. Went to have shower in AM could not figute out faucet. Tried to contact them and no one was there until 10am. Didnt answer phone until 10 15 am. Was told that you had to pull super hard out to get water to turn on. Wont be returning. False advertising
- Yen Chun Adeline (10/5): - The cottage we stayed had 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The kitchen was a good size and the deck was very well maintained. It’s quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that we were not impressed was the sofa bed which wasn’t cleaned as we saw a few hair and popcorns when it’s opened up, but overall we had a good time there.

- John (10/5): - Awakening to the sound of the tide coming into the inlet and enjoying the beauty of the setting made this a perfect getaway for us; the food in the pub was well prepared and delicious; being able to walk to such a great place for lunch and/or dinner was the perfect complement to this small resort.

- Cathy (10/5): Vancouver Island trip - Best place to stay in this area. Only complaint was the TV was stuck on one channel. We called the front desk, they said someone would come to fix it. No one came.
- Nicole (6/5): - Unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest, and the bed was VERY loud and uncomfortable. They definitely need to upgrade their beds and pillows. The scenery was stunning!
- Amy (10/5): Fabulous - These "Casitas" are fabulous! Right on the wharf, but with private patios and privacy screens for windows, they make for a beautiful seaside getaway, with great comfort as well. And the pub is only a stone's throw away!

- Margaret (10/5): - We came for the trees. What we got was that and more. The cabin itself was cozy and delightful. We loved the gas fireplace and our little private fire pit that we used on our patio the first night. The second night had a baby snowstorm, so we stayed in. Ate both nights at the pub, because it was low season and nothing else in town was open, but it was great and we loved the food and service. The staff is low-key but friendly and professional. The property is well-maintained and a wonderful place to come home to after spending the day tromping around woods and beaches. What an unforgettable, restful few days in Port Renfrew!

- Shawn (8/5): - The property is on the water and very peaceful. It is a great location to explore Port Renfrew. You can walk to one of the few restaurants available in the area. The service desk is not onsite. The internet is slow and unreliable. They really need to mop the floors when they clean the rooms.

Inside was cabin like but very comfortable. Bath tub/shower plumbing was finicky- had to push/pull to change from tub to shower snd hot/cold. Communication by email only. Instructions easy yo follow.

I took off my shoes inside the cottage and looked at my white socks and they were black on the bottom! So I don't think the floor had been mopped in a long time. Everything else looked and seemed clean. My only other issue was the king bed. It needs to be replaced (unit #5). Didn't sleep that great- every time you moved it sounded like firecrackers going off below making it difficult to have a restful sleep. I'm thinking the bed spring needs to be replaced. For the rate we paid, I expected a better quality bed. Otherwise, a nice little cottage!

We had to fill out a form multiple times to request basic items like glasses and bowls. The staff member on the phone was curt, arguing with basic requests. Have a check list or reduce the very high rate.

- E (8/5): - We stayed for 2 nights in the beachfront cottages. This place was one of a kind for its incredible view. We so much enjoyed sitting out on our deck with the gas fire pit turned on, and watching eagles fishing for food, watching the tide coming in, etc. The cabin itself was very cozy, clean, and well-appointed. We made good use of the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate provided in the room. The communication beforehand was excellent. The cons- (1) I wish there was more information about what is stocked in the kitchen. Had we known that there were pots and pans, salt and pepper, and basic cooking utensils, we would have definitely brought in more groceries and done our own cooking since food options are so limited in the area. The general store has limited frozen and canned goods. (2) Lack of privacy. The cottages/decks overlooking the water are all right next to each other, with very little privacy or separation between the decks. We were hoping for complete quiet, but unfortunately the group next door had different ideas and were loudly enjoying their deck until midnight one night, while we were trying to sleep. (3) The sheets on the bed were not soft at all, almost scratchy. Also the fitted sheet did not fit the mattress all the way, so it would slip. I know that this is a really small thing, but it is an expectation when you are paying so much money for a room! Overall, I would still recommend this place, just be aware of the above.

- Carole (10/5): A great get-away place - The Hotel was fabulous, worth every penny. We went for my husbands birthday and were thrilled with the accommodations.The bed was comfy, the view wasn't wonderful, the place was spotless. It was rustic and classy at the same time. The town is quite small with only a market and a couple of restaurants available. No shopping or other entertainment that I could see besides the very small but nice gift shop at the hotel. There was no phone service but the hotel did have open wi-fi available. We were able to have our dog for an extra fee. The road to the town was only about 2-2:30 hrs from the Sydney ferry dock but be prepared for a very twisty, slow road. We would recommend this to a friend.

- Gerald (10/5): What an amazing place to stay! - This property is beyond amazing. The views from the front deck is beautiful and that’s where I spent most of my time. The inside is clean, comfortable and livable. I’d sell my house and move here if they’d let me.
- Kahsia (10/5): - Situated right on the wharf, it was a perfect place to watch the world go by. The only downside was the smaller cabin’s kitchenettes were very small, so not really practical for preparing any meals and there are not many restaurants in Port Renfrew.
- Chris (10/5): Going back again ! - Simply put, we have already booked our next visit with them. Everything was beyond our expectations. This is a very special place with a friendliness that is so nice to receive after a day on the road. The room was very well appointed and very clean throughout. Beautiful location. I would also recommend eating a the pub next door, great BC Pinot Noir and the mussels are the best that we have ever had.
