• Cheryl (10/5): Great place to stay in Negombo! - I stayed here for 11 days and plan to return again next year. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and helpful. I had breakfast here many days. It is a simple breakfast. Usually eggs and fruit and toast. The pool area is beautiful and surrounded by greenery. The pool is kept very clean. It is right on the beach and a short walk to many restaurants, stores, pharmacies, and Tuk tuks. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very friendly, they even greeted us with a fresh juice, and the pool was perfect for some rest after our travels around Sri Lanka The food might be better, we felt a bit uneasy the next day.

• Bram (9/5): - Het personeel is echt super vriendelijke duidelijk wat ouder dan de gemiddelde medewerkers in de branche. 50plus. De prijs kwaliteit is absoluut goed evenals de ligging ten opzichte van het vliegveld en het strand en wat leuke restaurantjes en souveniers winkels. Er mag wel echt weer geïnvesteerd worden in de afwerking van de kamers en faciliteiten. Het personeel.. 👍👍
• Kristin (8/5): Nette Bleibe in Negombo - Es war eine nette Bleibe für die Nächte vor dem Abflug. Sie liegt direkt am Strand und in der Nähe von einigen Restaurants und Geschäften. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hat sich um alles gekümmert. Das Zimmer ist einfach ausgestattet. Das WLAN war gut und die AC hat funktioniert. Das Bad hat gestunken und generell war es nicht super sauber. Der Pool war etwas trüb.

• Henk-Jan (10/5): Leuk hotel, centraal gelegen voor uitstapjes. - Erg leuk hotel, direct aan het strand van Negombo. Een perfecte kennismaking met Sri Lanka en een fijn hotel om mee te starten. Leuke sfeer. Fijn zwembad met zicht op de oceaan. De locatie van het hotel ligt perfect voor uitstapjes richting de bekende vismarkt en het fort (nu gevangenis). Ook om een bootvaart te doen in de kanalen en lagune. Fijne Geen opmerkingen.
• NATALIA (9/5): - Прекрасный отдых за такую стоимость. Чистые номера. Есть общая кухня, где можно самим готовить. По дороге к пляжу-небольшой фруктовый рынок, что очень удобно. Есть супермаркеты, рестораны. Пляж замечательный! Чуть пройти по пляжу, есть водные развлечения. Трансфер заказывали через хозяина. Мустафа решает любой вопрос для отдыха. Завтраки и ужины скромные. Отдыхом остались довольны!

Belle piscine, restaurant agréable avec une bonne cuisine locale pas chère. Personnel serviable, souriant et efficace, qui donne des informations fiables. Chambre confortable. Bon rapport qualité/prix. L'insonorisation des chambres pourraient être améliorée.

• Sheahan (6/5): Great location! - Nice cozy guest house. The pool and beach access was great. Fast service by staff. Food was good but can offer more variety especially the breakfast. The toilet was not maintained well. Towels were pretty old and the room television was not working. Plug points in the room were not stable.

• Farah (3/5): Keine Empfehlung - Der Pool und die Lage am Meer waren gut. Die Preise im Restaurant sind fair. Das Zimmer war recht klein und die Ausstattung auch nicht mehr so toll. Das Bad war nicht mein Fall und es hat Überwindung gekostet zu duschen. Wir waren zum Glück nur eine Nacht da. Frühstück war in meiner Buchung inklusive. Es wurde aber behauptet, dass dies nicht so wäre und wir mussten es extra zahlen.

They welcome us with cold lemonade and allowed us to keep bags and use facilities beyond check in time. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. Air-conditioning noise- box right next to the window and bed. Ear plugs recommended.

• NevilleTraveller (8/5): Perfect location, great stay. - Location was fabulous, right on the beach and a good pool and surroundings, staff were helpful and friendly, organized taxi to airport at a very good rate. Excellent location for restaurants, food store, atm, liquor store. Good size room, bathroom, ceiling fan and aircon. A had a private balcony overlooking tge pool and ocean. Price was cheap compared to others i looked at. Certainly would stay there again. Would have liked a fridge, to keep drinks, but the bathroom sink filled with cold water did the job.

• Gauthier (10/5): Perfect place to stay! - The best hotel we have been to in Sri Lanka! The staff is friendly and super welcoming! They offered us a juice drink when we arrived. The bedroom has air conditioning and a very nice terrasse with a table and chairs. The bedroom is clean and confortable and the bathroom is very tidy. It's a quiet and chill place to stay. The dining area is always fresh and very pleasant. The swimming pool is clean and it's just so nice to relax on a sun bed and enjoy the pool on a hot weather! Breakfast was good, you have the choice between fruits and juice and between toasts and eggs or pancakes. They also have shuttle service to and from the airport, but we decided to book via pickme. The location is great, in front of the beach, and just accross the main street with many nice restaurants. After check-in, we could stay in the dining hall waiting for our taxi. Perfect place to stay with amazing equipments and great staff! Definitely recommend it!

• Sadia Afrin (7/5): Beachfront and close to many food places, good for transit stay! - It was a beachfront quite old hotel. And few minutes away from airport. Best for stay at transit. Breakfast was delicious. Staffs were very cordial. We didn’t like our room so upgrade it with extra $12. Then the view from the balcony was so calm and beautiful. Serene sky, summer breeze helped us to relax before coming home. Washroom was so tiny and no amenities. AC wasn’t working properly and so room was too hot.

• James Bennett (8/5): Great option for overnighter near the airport - Appears to be the only place along this beach with any spirit or aesthetic. This place feels like it had its heyday 50 years ago, but has somehow managed to retain its charm. Great location, right on the beach, with a nice pool and restaurant scene and charming beach umbrella/bar/restaurants right outside. Very comfortable rooms, and some very nice balconies on the beach side. (Our balconies were shut in by places on the side.) The food was excellent and priced very reasonably. The staff was wonderful! Mostly ugly city around it, and the water is not as clean as other beaches around the island.

• Gustav (9/5): - Star Beach Guesthouse is a lovely guesthouse with a restaurant and pool, located right on beautiful Negombo Beach with stunning sunsets. We had a nice room with a balcony and sea view. It's twelve minutes from the airport. Excellent value for money. There aren't many such cozy guesthouses left on Negombo Beach.

• christophe (9/5): - la piscine, la vue depuis la chambre qui donne sur la piscine et la plage, de bons restaurants de plage à côté, literie et chambre d'un bon rapport qualité prix si celle ci est située avec un balcon donnant vers la plage et la piscine. frigo et tv dans la chambre, climatisation non testée mais présente. l'odeur d'humidité et de remontée des canalisations dans la salle de bains surtout lors de fortes chaleurs . un établissement un peu vieillot dans l'ensemble mais au prix payé que demander de plus, et j'ajoute que l'accueil est professionnel et sympathique .

• Valerie (8/5): Un séjour à prix correct pour commencer ou terminer le séjour - Nous sommes restés plus longtemps que prévu puisque avec la guerre au Moyen Orient notre vol retour a été annulé et reporté 10 jours plus tard. Concernant la situation géographique il est très bien placé sur la plage car avant et après c'est sale. De plus, devant l'hôtel il y a deux restaurants avec transats qui permettent de commencer ou prolonger le séjour agréablement. Concernant l'hôtel il est sûr qu'il est vieillissant (surtout la salle de bain) mais honnêtement pour le prix c'est très correct. J'ai lu ici et là que ce n'était pas propre, c'est tout à fait inexact, c'est l'aspect de la salle de bain qui est rédhibitoire mais rien à signaler concernant la chambre et la literie. Il y a la clim et un ventilateur, un petit balcon sur une vue sur les toits et avec la chaleur des clim on ne peut y rester mais pratique pour faire sécher le linge. Biensur il y a la piscine avec transats mais nous avons préféré profiter de la,plage car il y a plus d'air. Le personnel est très sympathique, les deux personnes à l'entretien sont adorables et rien à dire concernant le personnel du petit déjeuner. Concernant le petit dejeuner il y a une carte et chacun choisit ce qu'il souhaite, c'est copieux. Je les remercie à nouveau d'avoir rendu notre séjour "forcé" agréable. La salle de bain. Le prix du chauffeur pour notre transport à l'aéroport.
