• Ernest (1/5): Terrible! I’ll never be going back - Not much to like. It was dirty I didn’t like that I had to make separate transactions to pay for the hotel at a liquor store (seems sketchy to to!). The window sill was very dirty. The heater would work and then not work and then work again. The shower water WAS COLD!!! Even on hot! Possibly my WORST experience of any of the hotels in San Diego and I stay at hotels all of the time

Wouldn’t recommend nobody to stay in this piece Of junk.

• Ishal (1/5): Wer nicht krank werden will soll diese Unterkunft unbedingt vermeiden - Es war das schlimmste Hotel den wir je gesehen haben, wir waren drinnen nach 2 min wieder raus unsere Geld war auch weg ,es stinkt nicht nur nach cigarette nach alles Wer nicht krank werden will der soll diese Unterkunft vermeiden, es ist auch eine Betrug weil nach Fotos sieht es gut aus ,daraus haben wir auch gebucht, aber Realität war Katastrophe, auch Booking com hat nicht unternommen, denke mit so eine Unterkunft darf nicht gearbeitet werden,wir werden im Zukunft über André Portale unsere Unterkunft buchen weil ihr da nicht unternommen habt für 2 min müssten wir komplett bezahlen wir haben auch mit Chef gesprochen er meinte nein Geld ist weg , Ich hoffe ihr unternimmt etwas

• Jamie (1/5): A very traumatic experience - Right off the freeway Toilet did not flush, room reeked of cigarettes(hotels are supposed to be 100% smoke free in California as of January 1st 2024), the front desk clerk stole some of our personal items while we were out of the room and only returned them after I informed her some of our items had gone missing, drugged up hotel occupants constantly wander the parking lot, no smoke detector, no fan/window for ventilation in bathroom, door appeared damaged from having been previously kicked in, dresser drawer missing, filthy room, burn holes all over bedding, pencil drawings in cabinet, staff refused to switch us into a functioning room or refund our money, had to involve law enforcement to receive a refund so that I could find acceptable accommodations elsewhere. The police confirmed that Valley Motel is the worst one in El Cajon and that they receive more calls regarding that place than any others in the area. Contacted Booking.com multiple times and they refused to help. Booking.com also hung up on me more than once.

• Kenneth (10/5): - The Valley Motel in El Cajon CA is about 15 miles East from downtown San Diego. It's been around forever and the structure shows it but for the cheaper price I'm in! There is parking around back and out of sight, a gas station on the same lot and a liquor store adjacent to the motel as well as a drive through Mexican fast food restaurant across the street from where you will stay. There are so many coats of paint that you can't be certain what the main color is but, it works well for insulation 😍! Reserving the room through Expedia I got it for nearly $70 whereas the other establishments were well over a hundred per night and that always works for me 👍. So, what are you waiting for? • Silvia (2/5): - First of all the front desk had the worse and negative attitude. Even on the phone she was rude to other people when asking for directions. A customer was asking her better directions how to get to the place, she told her co-worker. I don't have time for this, "to be giving directions". She refuse to give us a none smoking room at the rate listed on line. She did not show us the room with out first me signing all the documents, but she did offer to show the room to another family with a baby. She said I just talked to my boss, and he doesn't want to give you another room unless you pay higher rate. This is discrimination, you don't pick and choose customers to service. She needs to take some customer service, discrimination and fair-housing classes. I refused to take a room with the strongest smells of cigar and smell of roaches. I told her she can keep my money and make sur to give my deposit back as the room was never used. If their business is making money, they can keep it and put it on the biggest hole they have.

• April (10/5): - I booked 2 rooms smoking room and the motel upgraded me 2 beautiful rooms. One of the rooms was spacious with Fire tv. My 2nd room was nice as well. That room was smaller and it had cable. The cable had gone out and I called the night manager. She fixed my cable with 10 minutes. Overall, the staff was great!

Furniture glued together in multiple places. Room stunk like cigarettes, cigarette burns on literally everything. curtains ziptied on rod. Only 1 outlet worked in the whole room. Didn't feel safe in parking lot.

I informed them that our bathroom, fridge and microwave hadn’t been cleaned and they provided me with cleaning supplies for me to clean. It appeared our room hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival (9:30 PM and check in was at 3:00 PM). It was obvious our bathroom, fridge and microwave hadn’t been cleaned.

The bedsheets didn’t look clean. They had cigarette burns and stains. Luckily, we brought our own blanket and used our clean beach towels to cover up.

• Anderson (5/5): Only for those on a tight budget. - This place is strictly for someone on a tight budget; it was the cheapest thing I could find in the area. My room, like the rest of the place, was in notable disrepair but offered the two things I require in a quick overnight: a working television and a shower. There were some interesting characters lurking about the premises, but the night ultimately proved quiet and restful. If you can roll with threadbare digs and zero aesthetics, this place will work. If you need anything more, look elsewhere. Place was in disrepair. Lotta traffic outside.

La titolare ha prontamente sostituito le camere iniziali che erano inaccettabili. Purtroppo non è affatto una struttura adatta alle famiglie. Quando siamo arrivati ci sono state inizialmente offerte stanze orribili. In fase di registrazione, nonostante avessimo già pagato online, ci stato chiesto di compilare uno strano modulo in cui avremmo dovuto inserire anche il codice CVV della carta di credito, che ovviamente ci siamo rifiutati di scrivere. Le camere, al piano terra, erano tutt'altro che impeccabili. Abbiamo scoperto sul posto che l'intera struttura si trova in una zona molto mal frequentata, tra l'altro di fianco ad un distributore di benzina. Non ci siamo sentiti al sicuro e siamo andati via presto al mattino seguente. Mai più. Assolutamente sconsigliato a famiglie.

• Gamez (10/5): - I have been staying here on and off since 2023 or so .The staff is very kind and hospitalitable. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. There is also a convenient store in the same building. The price for stay is also reasonable. A little construction noise in the morning early one day made it hard to sleep. The bee hive outside the top floor window. But they're working on it.
