- Corwin (10/5): Cozy, timeless Maine lodge, exquisite views of the lake and cravable homemade meals. - The breakfast was exceptional. Home-made bread, cinnamon rolls and raspberry jam. It was heavenly. They are so kind and generous. I felt like I was treated like family or a best friend. I would and will go back in a heartbeat! Plus, it's absolutely beautiful looking at the lake. So cozy and comforting.

- Jennifer (6/5): Beautiful view, uncomfortable room. - I like the view. This is why I chose this location. Breakfast was good. I personally like looking at a menu with the options of what you'd like or how you'd like it made but all good. The beds were creaky and had absolutely no comfortability. The mattress was very hard and seemingly old. I did not get a restful sleep at all. The bathroom was updated. While in my room, I felt like I was in a room in a trailer because of how thin the walls were. The door was also thin and you could hear people having conversations, walking around. It felt very uncomfortable and kept us on edge. There wasn't much surface area to lay items on. I know that seems petty but, I dont want my only choice to be tkeep everything in my suitcase or unpack it into drawers. Sometimes I want to set some things on a table or dresser of some kind. That also contributed to the "can't get comfortable" vibe. While the view was very pretty, and I got a few pictures, the stay was not worth it. I could get similar pictures elsewhere and stayed somewhere that allowed for a good sleep.

The lake is beautiful and my daughter and I loved taking the canoes out on the lake to watch the sun rise. A nice, laid-back, relaxing time spent together at a beautiful inn and by the way, their cooking is awesome!

We stayed for multiple days and had a few different people staying next to us, all respectful and quiet so it wasnât an issue for us.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet und das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war ĂŒberragend gut! Im Vergleich zu anderem amerikanischen FrĂŒhstĂŒcksangebot, bekommt man hier "ĂĄ la carte" Auswahl an Ei, Brot, Joghurt, etc., es wurde alles frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Ich wĂ€re gerne lĂ€nger dort geblieben.

Das Quartier hat Charme, hier scheint die Zeit stehengeblieben zu sein und die Welt noch in Ordnung. Die Gastgeberinnen und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und engagiert. Das Abendessen ist sehr zu empfehlen, top QualitĂ€t fĂŒr gĂŒnstige Preise. Die kleinen Zimmer könnte man noch etwas freundlicher gestallten (z.B. buntes Naturblid, zweite Nachtischlampe)

Settings beside the lake was beautiful and we saw a deer on the drive down. Bedroom had an internal window as well as one to the trees, so you had a view to the lake. We needed an early breakfast which the kitchen staff kindly provided for us-- including homemade bread and jam. Would love to have stayed longer.

Was greeted upon arrival warmly and given all the information I could need very lovely and easy check in . Room is quaint with adorable details on the vanities and bedside tables making it feel like your staying at a guest room in a family home rather than an inn , the property was something out of a painting with access to the water , peddle boats, kayaks and other various activities offered it felt like a private piece of paradise . Anything we needed or had questions on were answered warmly and promptly and it was just an amazing experience! Breakfast time we were met with a lovely serve yourself coffee bar and a menu with some options for food me let me tell you how pleasantly surprised I was to the attention to detail on plating and appearance but most importantly taste you could taste the passion and effort that these lovely people have maintained this place with while looking over at the windows to see nothing but beauty and nature . As we checked out I popped into the kitchen to day my thank yous and see a beautiful scene of a hard working person doing their best to make everything inviting and the best experience for all thank you again we will be back! Only complaint was bed was alittle squeaky but I still had an amazing night of sleep and felt comfy and relaxed

The staff was so friendly and welcoming and breakfast was delicious. We ate dinner there one night and that was delicious as well. The grounds are lovely and the room was comfortable and clean.

- Sue (10/5): This was the most relaxing and peaceful place to stay! - The location just canât be beat! Itâs a beautiful property right on the lake. Itâs peaceful,quiet, with abundant wildlife. We saw eagles, ducks, deer, and loons. There are kayaks available to explore the lake with but early mornings on my paddleboard were magical. The women who own and care for this place go out of their way to make every visitor feel at home and happy. The big breakfasts are delicious! We look forward to coming back. There wasnât anything that we didnât like about the property. But we did enjoy seeing the upgrades and improvements that were made since last year!

- Anonymous (9/5): Its in a lovely, quiet location, right on the lake - If you're looking for a small, vintage resort this is the place. Its a family-run place and very welcoming. They served an excellent breakfast of bacon and eggs cooked to order in the morning, along with fresh croissants hot from the oven. The night we arrived was Mexican night in the restaurant. While the food was great, not everyone is a fan of Mexican, so maybe a traditional hamburger could be included on the menu.

Beautiful lake Some minor maintenance issues that didnât affect my stay, but it didnât look right. There was a rusty metal fence pole on the beach. There was a rotted post at the rear door that could be addressed with a little effort.
- Angelica (9/5): We are grateful we chose to stay here for our anniversary and hope to return soon! - We are locals and chose to stay here for 3 nights to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. The down-to-earth and warm greeting we received at check in immediately made us feel at home. Personally, Iâm not a breakfast person but ate theirs every day of our stay because it was phenomenal. We also had an amazing hostess who you can tell really enjoys her job. The room was cozy, air conditioned, and had a really comfortable bed. One day, we asked if we could go pick up our kids to swim in the lake even though they werenât staying with us and they encouraged it. They even asked if theyâd like to use the floats they had on hand. It was a blast and the family friendly atmosphere is great. During our stay, we saw multiple deer, eagles, loons, ducks with babies, turtles laying eggs, and caught sun fish off of the little dock. Even though we didnât use them, we loved that they had books and board games outside of the rooms for people to use. This place was a great reminder of the importance of taking time to slow down and enjoy the important things in life, like nature and uninterrupted conversations with the ones you love most! The rooms arenât as sound proof as a larger/modernized facility but with the AC and tv on, you can hardly hear any noise outside or around the room. We lost hot water for a few hours but before we even brought it to their attention, an apology was given and they already had people on site fixing it.

The staff was warm and friendly and we loved the many dogs around the place. We had a great time swimming and kayaking even after our check out time. I took information with me so I could recommend the place to friends and maybe even return. Loved it all so nothing!

I first came here for a wedding 37 years ago, my first visit to Maine. I now live in Maine, and went back to the lodge to remember my first impression of this state. Vacationland! The staff was extremely kind and helpful. I had an amazing cocktail mixed by the wonderful bartender/ waitress. The owner came over and asked if I was hungry, then whipped up a fresh cup of haddock chowder! Beautiful spot, very relaxing. Even the other guests were friendly. This is the real Maine! This is petty, but we went night kayaking and came back to the room wet and cold. There was no heat available. Of course it IS June, but nights in Maine can get very chilly. There was an extra blanket, though, and the room was very cozy.

Dona - The breakfast was the best part, she is an excellent cook and can prepare anything you want. My husband had eggs Benedict and I had ham and cheese omelette, the blueberry muffins were still warm from being freshly cooked from scratch. The waterfront location was beautiful, unfortunately, it rained the length of our stay. The walls feel very thin, and I could hear people at the bar and I could hear people walking by my unit and the television from the closest neighbor.

Loved the common area and the rocking chairs in the halls. The food was AMAZING!!! Breakfast was even better! The hospitality was the best part! Came once for a short honeymoon and it was so great we are making a tradition out of it to come back every so often. ALL WAS PERFECT!!

Delicious dinner and breakfast on the premises was such an added bonus. The bedding and decor in the room was not good. Was not as pictured on the website. No curtains and beds were very utilitarian. Thought it would be a little more cozy and inviting for an inn.
