Guest Reviews
- Frederic (10/5): - Very nice hotel, room is really nice and the staff are very friendly and are at our service!
Lots of French brasserie in walking distance for nice diner as well as lots of bakery for that French croissant! Great area.
Overalll a very nice hotel, definitely recommends.
- Victoria (10/5): - Terrific staff - very convenient location - lovely outdoor roof terrace
- Anthony (8/5): - Nice hotel. Great location. There was initially an issue with the air-conditioning which was switch to winter setting when the weather was still warm.
- Donna (10/5): - The staff was friendly and spoke English. They got us a taxi every morning. They gave us recommendation for restaurants and shopping.
- Mark (10/5): - The Hotel was perfect for our stay very clean, nice roof top area and the honesty bar worked really well with a great choice available. Staff were very helpful and professional. We would highly reccomend this Hotel.
- Phillip Justin (10/5): - Great
- Adrienne (10/5): - Lovely hotel and very friendly and helpful staff.
- Maram (10/5): - Excellent service, it felt like home! Also the hotel has a great atmosphere and nice ambiance . Staff is very nice especially Mary 😊
- Fiona (4/5): - The first night no hot water and the shower was clogged internally, so water leaked out to the whole bathroom, I was asked to come down to the front desk and get the towels myself to wipe the bathroom. The second night still no hot water but the night shift front desk was able to fix it after one hour waiting at midnight. The hotel offered breakfast as compensation. Recommend the hotel to have better staff training and better maintenance on facilities.
- Michele (10/5): - We absolutely loved this hotel. It was modern, clean, and about 300 feet from the Metro. The neighborhood was quiet and a nice retreat from the mass hysteria of tourists. There were a couple bistros at the end of the street and a vegan boulangerie around the corner. We walked to the Palais Garnier in less than 15 minutes.
The staff was helpful and friendly. We spoke a little bit of French but everyone there spoke English to help us through. We ate breakfast a couple times there and enjoyed the portions and selections which appeared to change daily. It was a great value for the price.
One of the things that really stood out was the honor bar and rooftop terrace. At night we were able to come back, grab a bottle of wine from the bar and take it to the rooftop for a quiet and cozy view of the neighborhood and rising moon. The honor bar itself is a nice setup, too. There are seats at the bar, by the window, and the mezzanine. Maybe they had music earlier in the evening, but there wasn't music while we were there. If there were background jazz music at a low volume, it would have been perfect.
The room was spacious and ours had three windows that opened out to the courtyard. Very high ceilings (we were on floor 1) and the bathroom was spacious, as well. The staff respected our privacy sign the whole time without question, enabling us to come back to the room during the day for refreshers and naps without bumping into housekeeping.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
- Rosemary (8/5): - perfect location for overnight stop when we came into Gare de Lyon
- chris (10/5): - Short stop over on our way to nice. Couldn't find a single fault . Will stay again . Breakfast great
- Abel Cheng Yang (10/5): - Very nice property
Excellent service
- Verified traveler (8/5): Helpful staff - Pros: really helpful staff, great location-literally 100 metres to the Metro, cute roof terrace.
Cons: room decor felt very corporate. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with this, my room felt more business traveller than family holiday.
- Monica (10/5): - The staff were amazing! They were friendly and helpful…booking excursions, recommendations as well as wanting feedback when we returned to the hotel.
Also the hotel is beautiful! The room is big as well as the bathroom. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace too!
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Will certainly stay again
- Tomeika (10/5): - The hotel has a beautiful rooftop space. The staff are lovely. Room was spacious and well appointed
- Joseph (10/5): - Great hotel. Neat rooms.
- Michael (10/5): Very Happy in Paris - We had an lovely stay at this boutique hotel. The rooms are Parisian in size although not without charm. Huge shower and plentiful hot water. We had a room with a large private terrace which went unused with our dashing about. The service was incredible. Airton at the front desk was welcoming, efficient, polite and chilled - an asset to the hotel without a doubt. Various cold drinks available 24/7 in the lobby was a nice touch with the heat and humidity. Breakfast was very nice - quite the spread with some non-French dishes thrown in which was welcome. The AC worked incredibly well which is important and the hotel was on a quiet side street within walking distance of the large department stores and major train station. Loved it and would go back.
- Leigh (8/5): - Nice hotel - very friendly
- Luis (10/5): - Outstanding property for those wanting to be close to Gare Saint Lazare … beautifully appointed rooms, great staff, sparkling clean…
- Sam (10/5): - N
- Maximilian (10/5): - Very nice hotel fantastic rooftop to have some drinks on and the staff could not be more helpful 10/10
- Jennifer (10/5): - -
- Cheryl (10/5): - Great location, clean room, very friendly staff, would not hesitate to stay here again.
- treasa (10/5): - The hotel was beautiful. Close distance to shopping and great restaurants around.
- Matthew (6/5): The hotel attendant acted as if I was the problem - On my 2nd night of 4. There was loud noise coming from outside the hotel beginning at 8P. At 930P, I went downstairs to the front desk. To ask for a room change. The attendant got adamant with me. That there was nothing that he could do. Because all the rooms were already filled. And asked me to just to relax, because he was told the party would end in 30 minutes. I returned to my room where the noise continued for 2 more hrs. Until midnight when it finally stopped.
The point is,… the attendant who is a representative for the hotel, acted unapologetic for the above. And no other hotel representative apologized either. Where was the French hospitality?
- Jose (6/5): Heh - Staff was exceptionally nice. Clean hotel. Air conditioner didn’t work and we were hot for 4 of the 5 nights. We thought it was just the way it was in France. But when we said something, it worked fine. Nothing was offered to compensate, so overall, it was not a good stay.
- Tara (4/5): - It was a really good stay until I had my scarf (Gucci scarf) taken away from my own room. The staff was very unpleasant despite my distressed nature and that is what disappointed me most.
- Dominique (10/5): - Place is well situated in the 9th…Clean, modern, very good value. Staff is polite, professional and accommodating. A special shout out to Jasmina who always had a smile!!
- sophia (10/5): - The location is very convenient, stuffs are nice and helpful. Great experience!
- alaa (10/5): - Clean and the staff are frindly.
- Oleh (8/5): - Good location and service. Good price to service ratio
- ana (10/5): - Very nice quiet hotel within walking distance to all attractions. The staff was very helpful and provided excellent customer service.
- Karen (10/5): - Hotel Opera Liege was a 10 minute walk to Saint Lazare train station. Along with trains, there were multiple metro lines available which made traveling throughout Paris easy.
- Jonathan (10/5): - An unforgettable stay! This hotel exceeded all expectations—elegant decor, impeccable service, and a prime location in the heart of Paris. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. Our room was beautifully designed. The breakfast was a highlight, with fresh pastries and delicious coffee to start the day. A perfect Parisian experience—I can’t wait to return
- Claire (8/5): Great stay! - Welcoming staff. Room spotlessly clean. Good and quiet location to explore Paris.
- Wayne (10/5): - Awesome location, great breakfast, very nice room, friendly staff
- Tommy (8/5): - Ok for money charged
- Aliysa (4/5): - Really disappointing our room was in terrible condition.
There was dirt in corners, on the doors and tables, hair in sink, the toilet had someone’s remains in. The room was not thoroughly cleaned before our arrival
The shower was faulty and no hot water, light wasn’t working.
Reception staff were blunt and rude, not helpful and when complained no alternative was offered.
We had breakfast included and had our transport for 7:30am. Breakfast opened at 7am, it was only half ready and no hot food. Overall disappointing for a 4*.
Hotel is currently under maintenance and there was no mention of this on booking.
- Sonia (10/5): - Beautiful property
- Lila (10/5): - Great hotel in central location. Room is big enough (for Paris) and breakfast is legit.
- Mary (10/5): - This hotel was FABULOUS! The rooms are very Parisian - standard ones are small but bathroom is great! There were two couples and one set of us got "upgraded" to an apartment style room. Had a couch/TV/coffee bar downstairs and then a big staircase going up to a large loft bedroom and bath. Lugging the suitcases up the stairs was a pain but the bedroom was fantastic!
Staff is very nice and accomodating. They held our luggage so we could sightsee until our room was ready. The breakfast buffet is AMAZING! So many options! And they have an "honesty bar" in the hotel which is "help yourself" and then scan a QR code to pay. It was so convenient to grab a coke or a drink after a long day!
Would not hesitate to stay here again! Thanks for the wonderful stay!!!
- Boun (8/5): - We stayed for 6 nights. It is in a great location, walkable to the shopping mall and dining locations, safe and quiet. However, the room is a bit outdated. We were in the Suite Duplex, and the room was a bit small and did not have a sitting area. There was 1 chair on the lower & upper level. It would be nice to have a sitting area especially if you are traveling with a family of 4. Beside that, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend to friends and family.
- Thomas (10/5): - There was some construction during my stay, but it wasn’t disruptive.
The rooms are small, but clean and quiet…
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good, but not as good as the first time. - We've stayed at the Hotel before and loved being in room 502 because it had it's own terrace. We requested the same room but I mentioned to the front desk that the terrace lights were not working and therefore nothing was done about that. We compromised the space in the room for the terrace but if the lights were not working, we could not be out on the terrace after dark.
The wine glasses and dishes from the honesty bar were dirty. They required cleaning, they had a lot of dust built up in it. There was times where I had to wash them myself before using it.
When we first stayed at the hotel in March 2023, it was not like this. I'm not sure if it's because there was construction going on but this second stay did not live up to par compared to our first time there. Still, overall, we enjoyed our time and the staff was super friendly and courteous. We would still definitely stay there again. but definitely hope things are better/cleaner without construction.
Also, a warning that the hotel is undergoing construction would have been nice prior to us booking.
- Mike (6/5): - The hotel was under construction. Was given 2 single beds together even after paying for a ‘queen bed’
The breakfast was extremely limited to cold meat and bread (apart from the last day they had some watery egg and bacon)
For the cost of this hotel I expected a whole lot better. I personally would not visit again.
- Rachael (2/5): - The property itself is not clean. We found someone else’s hairball in our room. They didn’t clean it when we asked to or help us in booking a dinner reservation which they said they would and then we had to follow up with no help. The breakfast, they also use their hands with no gloves to cut fruit. It is not clealy. The hotel is going through a remodel and is in really terrible shape. I wouldn’t rate this place two stars and they claim to be four. You should look elsewhere and don’t look back
- Nicole (8/5): - Great hotel and location. Easy access to subway and extremely walkable to Montmartre.
- Nicole (8/5): - I’ve stayed at the Hitel Opera Liège on 4 different occasions. They are conveniently located and the staff is great. I definitely recommend this hotel to others.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely hotel and well situated in Paris close to the metro, station and bus stops. Many brasseries and amenities nearby. Only minor criticism was that some items in the breakfast buffet were not replenished quickly enough, however there was still plenty of choice.
- Martina (10/5): - Fantastic hotel, great location, staff very friendly. A hidden gem
- Ari (6/5): Hotel is beautiful, rooms are not - Nice entryway. Room was small and a bit dirty. Very stuffy no temperature control. Convenient location.
- Sandro (10/5): - Very nice hotel , great staff and location .
- bruce (10/5): - We loved the hotel and staff. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Jasmina. She went above and beyond in helping us. The location is perfect. Cafes, bakeries and store walkable as well as the big sights. And the area was very safe.
Would stay here again when we return.
- Sarah (8/5): - Quiet once moved from a room on the road to one at the back of the property. Staff lovely and helpful.
I would query whether they may have a bed bug problem, although we didn’t strip the bed to look for these, my husband has allergies and got bitten quite a few times on our visit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Highly recommended - Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Hotel was very clean. Great shower. Staff were helpful with any inquiries we had. We have stayed here on three different occasions.
- Frances (8/5): - The staff attempted to accommodate us with the twin beds we’d booked through Expedia, unfortunately to no avail. Not their fault but the room we had was great for a one night stay. Lovely lobby and entrance.
- Blanca Estela (10/5): - Good option
- Mark (10/5): - The staff is nice and speak decent English.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice accommodations and friendly, helpful staff
- Mairen (10/5): - Excellent!!
- Becky (8/5): - The hotel was lovely, we stayed in a duplex suite for my boyfriends birthday which was very nice. The only complaint is that the stairs in the suite are so so loud, they need carpet on them especially when the suite next door drag 4 suitcases down the stairs in the early hours of the morning, we thought someone was breaking in. Also very loud when other suites were walking up and down the wooden stairs.
- Gustavo Jesus (6/5): - The Hotel is ok - but for our taste not 4 stars. Small room, noisy (inside noise).
- Daniel (10/5): - Great hotel to be close to everything. Great staff, good breakfast . Small but nice room
- Carmen (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff
- Kirsty (10/5): - Staff Amazing. Hotel is very clean.
- bassam (8/5): - Nice hotel
- Bryan (10/5): - Excellent hotel, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff was great, especially Raphael, we loved talking to him at breakfast. Everyone there was professional and did a great job. I read recommendations about the breakfast, they are not wrong, it's great.
- Rawan (4/5): - One guy in front desk made a huge deal why I did not mentioned my kids ( 5 and 3 years old) on my booking and refused to give me any extra pillows and blankets.
Another thing I want to mention it . I found some ants on the floor .
- Kim Fung (10/5): - very friendly staff and nicebreakfast
- Nick (10/5): - Me and my partner had a lovely stay in one of their Common rooms. It freatured a lovely bed, desk and shower, everything we needed in a cozy space. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. And breakfast was amazing.
We absolutely will he staying here again our next stay in Paris.
- Alan (10/5): - Surprising new find that was a wonderful place to sleep for a night
- MIchael (10/5): - We liked the hotel very much. The only comment would be that it would have been nice to have wash cloth for the shower.
- Ana María (10/5): - Nestled in the heart of Paris. Every major attraction is within walking distance, nice, clean. Great breakfast! Will definitely be back.
- Cindy (8/5): - Good location and quite
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not really impressed - The hotel was okay, the room was clean and was of a decent size for Paris, however it had no style nor elegance whatsoever, so probably not a place you would want to spend a lot of time at. At night we got attacked by a dozen of mosquitoes, so could not sleep. The "honesty" bar on the ground floor was looking rather sad, and so did the terrace on the top floor.
- Gwendolyn (10/5): - The stafff goes above and beyond what is to expected in a 4 star hotel. Never were they too busy to answer any question or request in a friendly pleasant, professional manner. François, Marie, and Christina helped me with restaurant suggestions, subway instructions, etc. Not to be overlooked are the wait staff serving breakfast!!. Can't wait to stay here the next time I'm in Paris.
- Rodrigo (8/5): - fair for the price
- Ben (8/5): - very good
- Jill (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Room was well suited for family of 4. Quiet street with plenty of dining options and easy access to metro. Would definitely stay here again.
- Yanfeng (10/5): - Great place, room is spacious, clean and quiet
- Bety (10/5): - My family stayed for two nights. It was absolutely everything we wanted. Even the sofa bed was comfortable. The AC works great and the room was quiet- a must after a red-eye flight. It had the best breakfast from all the places we stayed in France. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, friendly staff and bed was comfortable however the room felt very small as we also had no view from the window and very limited light. The shower was good, but there was mould on the ceiling above it. Sadly the coffee machine didn't work, the towels weren't changed and the rubbish wasn't removed from the room.
- Christine (8/5): - Nice, clean property. Be mindful, the price is wonderful, however, the rooms are small, so if you are willing to sacrifice space for price, this is a great hotel option. It’s a close walk to galleries Lafayette area, but other than that, it feels like a more locals part of town, which was nice. Breakfast staff were really nice, but not many plant based options.
- Devon (10/5): - Thw staff was wonderful. As they say, "details matter." They took the time to assist me on a task that was very important, unbeknownst, to me they cam through. Wonderful
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - The hotel is clean and very centrally located. It was easy to get around whether by feet, subway, bus or Ubers. The staff were also really pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.
- James (10/5): - Hotel was very central and within a 5 min metro ride from the Champs-Elysee. We stayed in room 502 which had it's own private rooftop terrace. Unfortunately the weather was terrible when we stayed and couldn't make the best use of it. Would definitely stay here again when we're next in Paris. Very good dining options close by.
- Sergey (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Good location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel to stay - Although hotel was old, air condition and shower system were new.
So I stayed very comfortable.
Location is very good. Station and metro station are very near, there are so many restaurants near by.
- Sohail (10/5): My new favorite hotel - Great service. Very friendly. Amazing value for money in Paris
- John (10/5): - Small but cozy and comfortable.
Only suggestion is the hotel need to install a circulating hot water pump to reduce the time needed to have hot water
- Tony (8/5): - A wonderful boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff; while rooms are relatively small, everything are good
- Ana Valeria (10/5): - We had an amazing stay, breakfast was amazing. All the staff was super kind and helpful and we really loved Rafael from breakfast
- Kwangwoo (10/5): - .
- bassam (8/5): - Not bad
- Thomas (10/5): - Location wise it’s very convenient for us…
- Daniel (8/5): - Lovely, quiet property. We had a room that regrettably had a leaky toilet that wasn’t repaired in first instance so we had a couple of restless nights until it was repaired fixed. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping proved inconsistent for our stay - one night they appeared to forget to clean the bathroom altogether and dirty cups were often left in the room. Otherwise a decent stay and the room was large by Parisian standards. We had some bad luck but I would easily recommend this hotel.
