Concerns that need attention 1. Front desk service: The lady at reception did not demonstrate basic customer-service standards; her approach and tone were unhelpful and unprofessional. 2. Initial room condition: The first room we were given (before the change) had not been cleaned properly; the walls were noticeably dirty. 3. Room change to 107: After we requested a change, we were moved to Room 107. Your staff member Mr. John mentioned there was a “small mistake,” but there was water collecting on the floor, which was unsafe and inconvenient. 4. Pest issue: During the night, my wife and I were woken by a cockroach in the room. 5. Pool safety: I invited my best friend’s family for a swim, but damaged tiles in the pool area caused cuts/scratches to our legs. This is a serious safety hazard and an embarrassment during what was meant to be a treat.

• KV202 (8/5): Prima voor een nachtje - Goede locatie en fijn dat ze je bij het vliegveld op komen halen zonder meerprijs. Dicht bij lekkere eettentjes en een ruime kamer en zwembad. Ontbijt had iets beter gekund en ook niet alles was even schoon maar voor een nachtje prima!

My experience was completely unacceptable. ​Health Hazard: Found multiple cockroaches in the room. Unsanitary. ​Service Failure: On the morning of October 20th, there was no running water at all. ​Staff Ignored Calls: We called the front desk repeatedly to report the issues, and NO ONE answered the phone. ​The hotel failed on basic hygiene and essential services. This was a nightmare stay.

Nicht zentral und vermüllter Strand. Wenig Tourismus im Oktober. Pool hatte scharfe Fliesen. Man musste vorsichtig schwimmen.

• Salgueira (6/5): - La chambre est agréable et bien équipée. Hôtel assez cher mais nous avons été globalement déçus. Le service client n’était vraiment pas à la hauteur. Nous avons seulement eu une bonne expérience avec le manager le dernier jour, qui a été le seul à se montrer arrangeant et nous a même offert des boissons pendant notre attente. La piscine était sale, avec des carreaux dangereux qui coupent, et ce n’est pas normal que des personnes extérieures puissent venir s’y baigner en vêtements. Le petit déjeuner n’était pas à la hauteur du standing annoncé et la communication était compliquée car le personnel ne parlait pas bien anglais. Pour ce prix, nous nous attendions à un service bien supérieur.

• Ian (7/5): An enjoyable stay, but didn’t quite meet up to expectations. - The pool was very welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and a good size and the housekeeper was lovely. The hotel & fixtures have a modern feel to them but they just weren’t executed well. The hotel felt unloved & not looked after. The menu selections weren’t all available & there were no cocktails or smoothies either as they didn’t have a barman for the whole 4 days of our stay. TV did not work in our room, even repeatedly asking to sort it. Although the pool was lovely, all 4 of my family ended up with cut/sliced feet from all the uneven sharp tiles. We did mention this and were told they were aware of them and other guests were also having the same cuts too. When we first arrived our children’s room had no kettle & broken blinds, letting in all the light so they did move them the next day. I think they seem too distracted by all the additional functions/team lunches they run, so hotel guests are a second priority. They are all friendly enough though! We’re just sad the experience wasn’t as we were expecting…

• Senthilvel (9/5): Total value for Money - Value for money, for the price offered this is an excellent value for money property, We had a stopover in Colombo before we could catch the flight, this hotel was excellent. There are no computers or IT systems in the front office reception, they do the older way of papers and files, everything is managed manually, this is not much of a bother for the guest, i found this a bit strange.

• Vinosun (6/5): Apart from the high exchange rate room was nice - The room was good and clean, we had to wait for the staff to clean the room since the previous occupant was late on checking out When checking out they displayed a white board (which was not there when checking in) displaying an exchange rate which is very higher than the normal exchange rate and this was not informed when doing the check in. This was the 1st time for me I got charged in USD not LKR as a local for the booking I made through booking.com And the A/C remote was not working

• Niranjan (7/5): Ok for One day not with Family as Clean is manily an issue (Bedsheet not chaged), But Excelent Food - Staff and friendly and help us to suggest the food and guide what is the best Pool is not renovated and get injured due to the bottom of the tiling also, better to have bit clean as the Bedsheet in our room is not changed as kept previous gest used, saw some hair and dirt... We pay money and better change new and charge for the laundry.

• Craig (10/5): Exceptional - The olanro Hotel , just remember this name for the best hotel in Negombo. I stayed for 7 nights at this hotel. Stepping through the lobby, i was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Light, airy and very spacious...very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. They always greet and smile. The breakfasts were amazing. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials, including AC and fridge, all with fantastic views. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to all tourist singles and families who want to visit Negombo. Thanks guys

• Mohamad (5/5): Spacious Wedding Reception Hall... - We stayed on half board to attend a wedding there. The wedding reception hall is nice and spacious and the service provided by staff was excellent. The buffet was served in the adjoining hall and it prevented food ordour anddidnot disturb the guests. The room was comfortable with very clean linnen. The bathroom was clean. We travelled a long way and arrived around 3pm. and needed a cup of tea as we were very thirsty. For the first time we found that there was no Tea/coffee, sugar, milk provided for half board... Though requested, refused to provide ☹️ Next morning ordered tea but served very late. The swimming pool was not clean and some tiles broken and could injure... Despite above, I still would recommend this as a budget hotel and I believe that the few shortcomings will be looked into.

• Karthik (7/5): Room for improvement - Pool - Good. Rooms were clean. Bed and pillow were soft and comfortable. Their menu said either English, Sri Lankan Breakfast. Both days we were offered only English breakfast and when we queried about the Sri Lankan Breakfast, we were told that you need to inform the previous night if we wanted the Sri Lankan breakfast. This was not made aware either during the check-in process or during our first day breakfast time. On both nights, there were functions happening at their hall and the noise went past midnight. It was very loud and no one in the rooms were able to sleep peacefully

• Stephen (9/5): A great choice for a place not far from airport with a very good pool - Great pool for swimming lengths. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Good food and wide choice. They could improve the pool area with sun beds and sun umbrellas.
• Győrik-molnár (10/5): Best accomodation near to the airport - We just stayed at the hotel for one night as our first night in Sri Lanka, but we felt a little sorry for staying here only this short, because we really liked it here! The atmosphere was nice. Dinner and breakfast was so delicious. Staff were super friendly and professional. They tried to make us happy in all way. This was a beautiful welcoming in Sri Lanka. • anne (8/5): Très belles chambres mais environnement bruyant - Hotel récent avec de très belles chambres et une grande piscine mais d'autres bâtiments sont en construction juste à coté de la piscine ( bruit du chantier et manque d'intimitée) De plus la 1ère nuit nous avons eu droit à une soirée privée organisée juste sous les chambres et la 2ème soirée anniversaire de mariage avec ambiance musicale. Bref la quiétude des clients de l'hôtel n'est pas la priorité de l'établissement .
• Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a short experience generally in Negombo and specially at this hotel . I booked for one night only due to my second destination was to Kandy. Oerall, It's a small hotel with new line extension under constriction. There was no special view such as mountain our lake . The room size was fine for a couple , air condition , bathroom were good as well.
• yongyoul (2/5): Horrible and ghost hotel - Staff is unkind unhonest fraud service quality is low and fee is very high. food is not good and dirty. There are many ants and spider bug in the room and dirty. They didn't clean room for 3days and ask me water charge. In the mid night party holds so I can't sleep because of making noise. Never visit this hotel. If you stay in this hotel... you will experience horrible situation.
