When I got to the hotel, front desk staff was sitting off in the lounge area talking with her friend and eating take out. She finally came to the front desk and check me in. I got to my room, 228, and there was only a king size bed, no couch. I went down to the front desk to speak to the same woman. I informed her I had reserved a room with a bed. She said, "No you didn't. You reserved a king room." I showed her my email confirmation clearly stating I had a king size bed as well as a pull out couch. It even showed pictures of what the room would look like. She said there were no other rooms available. I asked about my price being reduced as I paid for a room I did not get. She said there is nothing she could do about it in Mississippi. Then she rolled her eyes and when back to visit with her friend.

I had to book my own room, of course, here because I wanted to be in the same location. The staff was very nice. The room was dirty (bathroom), the area was weird swamp vibes, the room I was in.... stinky I guess maybe the carpet, or air vent. I sprayed lots of air sanitizer.

For such a small pool the water should have been a lot warmer and clearer. The whole reason I choose this place was for the pool. Very, very disappointed.

Under no error of the hotel, for some reason, that part of the city had water outage for awhile during our stay. In the room we were assigned, there was an ongoing annoying sound. Therefore, we could not sleep.

- Brian (4/5): I cannot recommend this hotel. - The room was large and nicely arranged. The A/C was extremely loud, there was an issue with the fan squealing. I spoke to the front desk about it, but they said they did not have any other rooms. However, the parking lot maybe had 2 dozen cars in it at 11:00p. The sofa was FILTHY, had stains, a big tear in it, and badly needed to be replaced. These rooms are in bad need of an update, not my usual Fairfield or Marriott experience. The bathroom was worn and the tub showed definite signs of age.

Upon arrival and checked in we took our items to the room Because of a long day on bikes we immediately went eat. It was when we returned noticed we had 1 king bed. Too late to address then Upon leaving, I addressed this issue. They were very apologic price was the same but we reserved 2 beds for a reason I thought the purpose of a reservation was to secure the room you asked for. Thanks Ms.Weichers

- Catherine (2/5): - Very disappointing stay. This hotel is nowhere near the rating it advertises (over 9). The property is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and not clean. Upon arrival, we discovered a roach in the bathroom, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene and forced us to request a room change. The overall condition of the hotel—old furniture, worn-out facilities, and a generally dirty feel—was unacceptable. Breakfast was mediocre at best and did not make up for the unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel and regret booking it based on misleading reviews.
