• Emanuela (9/5): Great Riad, amazing breakfast, traditional and residential Medina neighborhood - Amazing old Riad, charming place and looking very traditional in a residential neighborhood of Marrakech Medina. Neighbors were very kind and helpful with directions also. We felt very welcomed by the locals. Adam the riad manager is very attentive, helpful and runs the riad very effectively. Did I mention the breakfast? Amazing breakfast every day on the terrace or courtyard, served with care and attention. So 5 stars! Nothing. It was perfect for us. To note that it is in a great location but about 25 minutes from most truistic attractions which can be a great advantage as you truly experience a local neighborhood. There is a very quiete and at times dark ally to get to the riad, it is safe to walk there at any time but for a solo female traveler this could be a bit uncomfortable mostly at night (like in any other part of the world).

Ein idealer und entspannender Rückzugsort nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in Marrakesch. Das Hotel war nicht gut ausgeschildert, aber Dank Adam, dem super freundlichen Hotelmanager, zu finden.

Le riad était suffisamment équipé pour que tout se passe bien, même avec un bébé de 7 mois. Les deux personnes qui se sont occupées de nous ont été extrêmement aidantes et agréables. Avoir une peu plus de salé dans le petit déjeuner, qui par ailleurs était très bon.

Auch das Zimmermädchen war unglaublich freundlich. Beide sprechen gut englisch, was vieles erleichterte. Das Frühstück war landestypisch, abwechslungsreich und reichlich. In dem eher lebendigen Marrakesch war der Riad eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung, allerdings anfangs nicht ganz leicht zu finden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Das Bett könnte eine neue Matratze vertragen. Wir haben aber noch ganz okay geschlafen.

The breakfast is superb, her lemon cake is delicious, and the Riad is an oasis of calm with a wonderfully cold swimming pool which they will put jets on for you at any time. The roof terrace is gorgeous and the resident tortoise Miss Liz lives up there. We will be back for sure.

• Nistor (10/5): Wonderful - A wonderful place to stay – extremely clean, with a delicious breakfast and a team truly focused on their guests. Adam is very friendly and always ready to help with anything you might need. He gave us great tips about Marrakech – what to do, where to eat, and what the fair prices are. The location is excellent, very close to the souks. We were genuinely sorry when it was time to leave. -

The decor was very tasteful. The stairwell to our room and the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell. The bathroom had no storage space, a tiny sink and mirror and poor lighting which made it very impractical. The room itself had no storage other than a hanging bar and single shelf in a small closet. The mattress and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. We stayed in January so it was quite cold. All common areas, including the space for breakfast are in protected outdoor areas and no accommodation for heating was offered until the 3rd day of our stay.

• Laura (10/5): Peaceful stay in the Medina with exceptional staff - The breakfast and staff were exceptional! The best I’ve ever experienced. Adam was always on hand with a smile on his face to help out with anything. He also gives you a lot of amazing tips for your stay. The Riad is also in a quiet part of the medina which was much better suited to us. It’s very quiet at night, and there’s only locals around that area, so it’s never crowded. It’s also right next to a gate with a car park if you need to get a taxi. As long as you don’t mind walking, which we don’t, you can walk to everywhere within 20 mins. Personal preference, I thought the bed was a bit hard. I still slept well though. This isn’t necessarily a negative, but as it’s super peaceful and quiet, during our stay we worried about disturbing the other guests. We tried to whisper and keep all noise to a minimum.

Wir haben eine Menge hilfreicher Information über Marrakesch und den Riad selbst erhalten. Adam und Menel waren immer erreichbar und haben all unsere vielen Fragen beantwortet und uns super Tipps für Essen und Ausflüge gegeben. Die Zimmer und der gesamte Riad sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert. Das Frühstück war sehr köstlich und wunderschön serviert. Es gibt eine kleine Küche, in der man sich auch untertags Tee kochen kann. Der Riad lädt ein, hier zu verweilen und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Wir fühlten uns sehr priviligiert, an einem so schönen Ort zu wohnen. Das Viertel liegt ein bisschen abseits der großen Tourismusströme der Medina und doch sehr zentral und sehr authentisch. Absolut empfehlenswert! Alles war perfekt! Vielen herzlichen Dank!

• Ayşe ilayda (10/5): Our stay was absolutely perfect – a true 10/10 experience. - Adam’s hospitality was exceptional; it genuinely couldn’t have been better. He informed us about the city, answered all our questions throughout our trip with sincere kindness, and was always ready to help. The rooms were spotless, and every detail in the riad was thoughtfully arranged for comfort. Many key spots in the city are within a 20-minute walking distance, which made exploring very easy. And the breakfast… outstanding! Every morning we enjoyed a different selection of delicious Moroccan dishes. If I ever come back to the city, I would without hesitation stay here again.

Adam nous a fourni tous les détails nécessaires pour passer un superbe séjour à Marrakech (plan de la ville, conseils, restaurants, visites etc). Vu l'arrivée tardive Adam nous a proposé un transfert depuis l’aéroport et était présent pour nous accueillir. Le matin le petit déjeuner est très riche et très varié avec un menu qui change tous les jours permettant de découvrir et d’apprécier les finesses de la cuisine marocaine. Le riad propose également des excursions sympa à prix abordable pour profiter pleinement du séjour. La déco est soignée et chaleureuse et Adam est toujours présent en cas de besoin

Adam and the lovely lady who made breakfast and managed the rooms ( I’m sorry I forgot her name ) were kind and helpful and got me out of a sticky moment when I could not get my esim on my phone to work . Adam provided local SIM cards and set them up so we could start our holiday . Believe me with a 21 year old in tow that was essential to our getting around . Breakfast by the fire every morning very welcome . Adam allowed us a late check - out which allowed us to enjoy our last day . They could not have been more helpful with guidance and recommendations , we felt safe and looked after . Bed was a little short for me .

In fact nothing was too much trouble for Adam who gave us great advice to make the most of our stay. Lots of space outside the room and a relaxing rooftop area.

• Barbara (8/5): Peaceful and lovely - It was very quiet and peaceful, removed from the busyness of the Medina. It’s a short 4mins walk to taxi pickup/dropoff. It was totally safe and we didn’t have any issues to and from the Riad. The fresh daily orange juices were a great bonus too. Adam was very helpful and polite. He was the best host. Nothing.

The food was incredible - breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner one night, which turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip! Manale is truly a talented chef, and she was so nice and caring ! Adam, the manager, was the perfect host. We now fully understand the meaning of Moroccan hospitality after staying at the RPR. He helped us book hammam reservations, provided great restaurant recommendations, and made sure our stay in Marrakech went seamlessly from start to finish. The riad itself is stunning - probably the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen. The decor feels like something out of a movie, every corner is inspiring. We also loved the location: very central and easy to explore the city on foot. Adam arranged our airport transfer as well, which I highly recommend since cars can’t drive directly up to the riad. We can’t wait to come back - it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

It was on the higher side for my budget but very much worth the money, I had a wonderful 3 night stay and I'm glad I splashed out. The riad is beautifully restored and very tastefully decorated, the room felt very luxurious. The staff are kind and helpful. I had lots of delicious breakfasts during my visit to Morocco but the breakfast at Riad Porte Royale was probably the best - lots of delicious things and something different every day! It was also very helpful to have filtered water available at all times rather than having to buy plastic water bottles. And there is fresh orange juice available as well. The location is great - in a quieter area of the medina and you can be dropped off/picked up by car quite nearby. Thanks to the team for a lovely stay.
• Jodie (8/5): Our stay was made perfect by Adam, the riad is beautiful. - Breakfast was fantastic! Make sure you plan a little time for it, around 30 mins. Adam was fantastic and super helpful, I think our trip would have been very different without his help and guidance. Location was pretty good! I don't think its a big issue, but we booked this specific riad among many reasons, because it was listed as having a bar. The 'bar' was some local wine and beer in the fridge which we could grab when we liked and pay for at the end of our stay.

Very photogenic building with roof terrace and pool in the courtyard (with very cold water!). By the way, it's worth staying here just for the breakfast! Some people might not like the approach to the riad which goes through a short dark tunnel!

Not much to complain about, we had a wonderful time and although we knew there were other people staying it still felt like you had the riad to yourself. Great experience.

• Julia (10/5): A magical and worry-free stay - This riad was the reason why our stay in marrakech was so great! The riad itself is beautiful and you can see that the design has been chosen with care and not only looks beautiful but is also very practical. What really completed our stay was the way we were looked after. Adam, the host and manager of the riad is incredibly hospitable and we were not short of anything because of this. If we were to go to Marrakech again we will without a doubt book our stay here again! The riad is on the border of the medina, which is not central and means that most attractions and shopping/eating facilities are a 15-25 minute walk away. But for us this was no problem at all because this also means that this allows you to return in peace and without causing a nuisance from the hustle and bustle of the city. For us this is a top location but something to take into account when you do not prefer walking long distances.

Supreme service and breakfast. Great plunge pool. Excellent hosts who speak multiple languages fluently and with a great sense of humour Nothing not to like. Only very small downside was the wifi. Not an issue for us or anyone who purchases a sim on arrival.

• Liz (10/5): Fabulous stay , felt like a king and queen , Will be coming back - Riad was stunning , and in a great location , just a 20-30 min walk from the centre , close to the new town but within the old city, host Adam and his assistant where absolutely amazing there was no ask too big or too small , and he gave us a warm welcome, we arrived about 11pm and he was there to meet us at our taxi , walk us to the Riad and provide us with tea and olives on arrival while he gave us tip and recommendations, breakfast every morning was yummy and multiple options, cleaning staff where lovely , room was cleaned each day , with fresh towels and the staff hand sqeeze fresh orange juice each day for guests to help them selves to , I couldn’t fault it , we would come back again just for Adam and the staff. Our first time in marakesh and won’t be our last, Adam also went out his way to arrange restaurants , collect us toothpaste and book our airport transfer. Nothing , mattress was quite firm but wasn’t a problem for us

The manager Adam, is amazing, at check-in he informs you of everything that can be useful during your stay in Marrakech. And during your stay he always helps you. The taste and care in design and decoration are evident in every little nook and alcove. • Wilma (10/5): Friendly, personable, safe. Great stay! - I really wanted to sit down and write a proper review as I think this place deserves it. I’d stay here again anytime, but especially if its your first time in Marrakech, stay here. Adam was so attentive and helpful all throughout, I cannot overstate how valuable this was to make the most of our time in the city, and he made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times visiting as two female travellers on our own, arranging reputable airport taxis for example. (Also to be clear as I know other places do this; we were never asked to mention him/leave a review, doing this 100% from my own initiative as they really deserve the praise). In general, the location was great - easily walkable, but out of the most hectic part of town. The building was safe and room had all we needed. Breakfast was great, and when we chose to stay in for lunch/dinner they were great value for money. Other staff was helpful and friendly too, its a very peaceful and calm here. Rooftop is a great bonus!

He goes above and beyond to make sure each guest is well taken care of. Delicious breakfasts every day. Comfortable beds, hot showers and lovely renovated Riad. It is a little off the beaten path, but we could be just about anywhere we wanted in 30-40 min by foot. The Riad is in a residential neighborhood that gets very quiet at night. Restaurants 8–10 min by foot. I would stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality. As I said, it is a bit of a walk, so those with mobility issues ( bad hips or knees ) might not be happy with location due to the time to get into “tourist” areas.

• Meike (9/5): Beautiful Riad in Marrakech! - To highlight is the host: Adam gave us good tips for the city and was very helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. Breakfast was also good, especially the fresh orange juice. Good showers with hot water and good water pressure. In the winter (we were there in February) it was quite chilly in the commun areas. However, Adam was always willing to make a fire in the fire place. Besides, in the rooms you have a heater.

The next time I visit Marrakesh, I’ll definitely stay here again. The hot water in the showers take a long time to come, which can be a bit wasteful especially in colder times. And the placement of the shower head is such that I had to really stand in the corner to shower. Very minor detail - not at all a downside per se

Adam, the manager, realized that I was having challenges getting around as a solo traveler so he took the time to provide information, coordinate taxi rides for me because my phone service wasn’t working, and gave me great tips on what to do and where to go. The room was cozy with a private bath. The riad is quiet. The hospitality staff were wonderful. They only speak Arabic and French so have your translation app handy, if you’re also a native English speaker. Breakfast is a whole experience—lots of fruit, yogurts, jams, breads and an omelette. My favorite part was the fresh squeezed orange juice every morning. I would definitely return. Location of actual riad is tricky to find within the neighborhood. You’ll have to do it a few times before you don’t get turned around. The HERE WE GO app (like Google maps) was very useful when navigating the twists and turns.

Helped us with Ironing and laundry service. The Riad is worth every penny. Amazing ambiance and amazing staff combined. Well done to Najib, Rachida and Amal for keeping the guest comfortable, safe and happy. Our family for the last 6 days.

• Haleh (6/5): Friendly staff, decent breakfast, noisy rooms - Excellent staff, friendly people, charming facilities The room itself was small, noisy, and got cold in the evenings. Our room was on the ground floor and there is a large gap between the bedroom door and outside courtyard that lets both noise and cold air into the room. We were also next to the kitchen, so the noise from the kitchen both in the morning and throughout the night if guests use the kitchen sounds as if it’s directly in the bedroom.
