• STEPHANIE (10/5): - This property was the most ideal stay for us - it was conveniently located and the host was the most warm and generous man, he helped us throughout our stay, gave us tips on where to go and how to plan the day and made sure we had everything we needed!! We would 100% recommend this place to anyone who has a family visiting the island and will spend their days exploring. It's the perfect spot to come back to and rest up for another day of exploring the island!!!

Lovely and quiet home to unwind after a busy day exploring the island, and Don was very warm and welcoming, even gave a brief history of the place!

• Sara (7/5): Troubridge Rd - Very well equipped for cooking and BBQing evening meals. Plenty of beds and bedding. The surrounds, the extended yard - it wasn't very appealing.

• Tdevireddy (5/5): Passable - The location was a bit scary in the night with no street lights except mobile phone. Torch and car lights There were plenty of spiders on the carpet and they crawled over onto the bed. The owner requested us to keep the doors closed as reptiles may enter the house.

• Eranda (10/5): - We had 3 nights at the property. It was well maintained and spotless from inside. Outside needs a bit of an upgrade. But all in good condition. It was nice and quiet and the host was really friendly. Perfect for a small family.

• White (9/5): A great little cottage for a very comfy stay. - The location was a little out of town centre, and with a great view out of the front window. We had a car so didn't need to walk anywhere. It was a roomy and comfortable house for the 4 of us. We loved the comfy lieback couches, the roomy and very well equiped kitchen and spacious lounge and dining area. The TV wasn't connected to the home wifi network so we couldn't stream anything. Big disappointment. We understand that sometimes people want an extra bed - but the one set up permanently in front of the lounge window took up a lot of room, which could be used for chairs facing that lovely view of the sea. There was a back door that puzzled us as it opened into a fenced yard with 2 little barky dogs in it! We phoned the agent and found out this was not part of the rental. We were looking for a clothesline as we wanted to dry some items, after checking some more discovered there wasn't one. But there was a laundry with a washing machine and dryer. We suggest a house folder with information be placed there for the next guests. We couldn't find anything except visitor activities information. We also suggest a foldout airer kept in the laundry would be handy in view of no clothesline. Also the door next to the dining table also opens, but with no patio or decking or steps outside - only a big drop to the ground - could be hazardous for children!! You can get outside safely using the laundry door.

• Glenda (5/5): The cottage was comfortable for sleeping and all facilities worked, it was just old and unloved. - Property very close to town so we walked each night to dinner The cottage is very old which is fine but it could be maintained better. The kitchen is old and tired, even a coat of paint would help. There were four wineglasses and none matched.!!!The bedroom is extremely small with little room to move about. The shower head was green with verdigris and the shower curtain rail rusty. Outside was a large dead tree and the garden dead as well. Surely when you are advertising accommodation the owner should make an effort to keep it maintained, not just take the money with no upkeep.

• Judith (10/5): Blissful getaway at Kangaroo Island - The welcome note in the window was a lovely touch. The cottage was quaint, clean and comfortable. It provided everything we needed and we made good use of the washing machine and dryer which worked well. There was nothing we didn't like.

• Eric (9/5): Excellent, well-furnished accommodation - The apartment was well set up and had everything we needed, including laundry facilities, a spacious bedroom and plenty of crockery. Easy walk to good fish and chips at the Ampol service station, and a short walk to the rest of town. Pleasantly quiet too. Not a whole lot to dislike ... the chairs were a bit wobbly.

• Silke (3/5): bad value for money - not clean at all - - nice welcome note :) - Central location - There was still shampoo and soap from the guest before sitting in the shower - It all felt very dated - The cottage was not clean at all ( see pictures) - We had the property manager coming inside of our cottage without pre warning to “turn off the lights” while one of us was inside the bathroom. This made us feel very unsafe

• Pat (7/5): I would go back for sure! - WE loved the location which was quiet and secluded but central to where we needed to go. The owner was communicative and very informative. The cottage was quaint and welcoming but much smaller than we thought. It was pet friendly and we made sure we left no doggie prints. That shower took off as loud as a sky rocket and blasted intermittent rocket fuel to cold water! Everything else was lovely!
