- PatriciaB1777 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK. No longer in business. - DO NOT BOOK. This hotel has closed. We received no notification of the closure. We arrived in Sayulita on one of their busiest weeks at night to find that it the hotel we had booked for the week was closed. Website, phone numbers, email addresses all deactivated. Trip Advisor refunded us our payment in full. However, we had a very challenging time finding alternative accommodations since we received no notification of the closure.

We are attempting to get our money back still. It was a very rough start to our vacation. The place was in terrible condition and totally trashed. DO NOT BOOK

- Delia Denise (10/5): - Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Location is about a 10min walk to downtown and a block away from the beach. The room wasn’t spotless but it was clean. WiFi wasn’t the best but we didn’t mind since we were there to disconnect and relax. The staff was very nice and helpful especially Luisa. We rented a golf cart for the day through the hotel which was very convenient. We had an issue with the cart and it left us stranded. Once we got back to the hotel Luisa was trying to find us another cart so we didn’t miss out on our hours. Since it was late we decided to use the cart the following day. Luisa made sure the cart was ready for us. Would definitely recommend to stay if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy quality time with family or friends.

The rooms were very clean and hotel was so peaceful. I will be definitely coming back. You gotta try the smoothies every morning and take a walk on the beach! I loved this place!

The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved spending mornings on the balcony with a cup of coffee, listening to the sound of the birds. The pool area is quiet and well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after exploring Sayulita. While it's not right on the main strip, it's just a short walk away, so it felt nice to be tucked away in a quieter corner. - Christopher (10/5): - Just got back from an incredible week at Hotel Villas Sayulita. It's the perfect spot for surfers and anyone who loves a vibrant atmosphere. The location is unbeatable - steps from the main beach break and surrounded by delicious local eats. The staff were awesome, super friendly and always down to recommend hidden gems or help with surf lessons. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, exactly what you need after a long day catching waves. They have a nice little pool to cool off in too. Overall, if you're looking for a fun, social, and affordable place to stay in Sayulita, this hotel is the right.

- George (10/5): - Hotel Villas Sayulita is a no-frills hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms are basic but clean, with everything you need for a short stay. The beds were a bit on the firm side for my taste, but nothing a good night's sleep from the nature surrounded couldn't fix. The best part about this hotel is definitely the location - you can't beat being so close to the beach and all the action in Sayulita. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even have a surfboard rack on-site which was convenient. If you're on a tight budget and prioritize location over amenities, then Hotel Villas Sayulita is a good option.

Was an air conditioner on the adjacent room that was obviously defective due to the constant noise in my room. Could not sleep the whole night. Our room had a palapa roof so street noise was also a constant. The one advantage is the suite had 3 king size bed which is hard to find

- michael (6/5): Overpriced hidden costs, extra person, high taxes. - We figured it was overpriced for what it offered. Pool was clean but no chairs around to sit, no pool or beach towels offered and when requested we were told to use the room towels only. No chairs in the rooms, only outside the room and not suitable for inside relaxing. Outside noise (other tenants) sounded like they were inside your room. Rooms are large and AC worked along with ceiling fans. Sheets were clean but old. Grounds well kept and green but home to feral cats who liked to use the hallways for bathroom and cleanup doesn’t happen till late next day. This was regular occurrence. Breakfast in garden was good but limited selection and after 5 days it got tired. Excellent service by Yiyo who speaks English. Sum up, over priced, smaller hotel, quiet location close to beach, no area to relax outside pool, no outside towels.

This place was great for exactly what we needed: easy access to the beach, a place to sleep, breakfast was included, and it was safe and fairly quiet. It’s very rustic and pretty outdated, but if you don’t need anything extravagant, then this will do the trick. I would totally come back here again. It was a great place to call home base.

Two beds are in same room as kitchen so lack of privacy and one is in separate space. Downstairs was quieter. Rooms are old - no hooks, kitchen poorly equipped and sink leaked. Breakfast not great and stopped going after three days though included - too many other options. Housekeeping did well but can’t fix age issues. Front staff ok but not forthcoming. Yes, at quieter end of beach but easy walk to everywhere and other options available so recommend staying elsewhere. AC and fan worked well in room and we did not mind that pool wasn’t heated. If there were chairs at pool, you would likely bother other guests who face this area.

- Richard (10/5): Perfecto - It’s the perfect hotel in a perfect spot if you like small quaint hotels. Only 16 rooms. Lovely garden to eat a free breakfast and be served by the affable Gigo. Only 456 steps to the beach. The pool came in handy too. On the quiet side of the bridge yet nice restaurants nearby. Walking distance to the town square and bars and restaurants.

The only bad thing we can say about this place is that the inside is not completely protected from the outside critters. We woke up pretty early around 4 Am and decided to leave. There were bugs crawling all over my kids while they tried to sleep. The other thing that we had an issue with, was that on one of the pillow cases appear to have some blood stains. Perhaps from a bloody nose.

- Mark (8/5): Sayulita Mid December 2019 - The Hotel is well located and quiet. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with hot showers and daily maid service, with fridges and cooking facilities, small kitchen supplies and some snacks and drinks (you have to pay for these). The yoga is great although not included in the price. The big plus was the breakfast which was delicious and fresh, with smoothies. The negative side was the pool, which has no heating and is therefore not useable. The water was ice cold (December). This was a big negative as we really only booked here for the pool. Even so the stay was not ruined as the beaches are very near. The people are very friendly and helpful at the hotel and I would recommend this hotel if you don't want to use the pool. It is a surprise they dont heat the pool, given that the sun is so hot here during the day solar paneles could easily heat the pool for next to no money once installed.

I think the hotel is one of the nicest ones in the area, as it is far enough from the crowds and loud noises downtown but it offers a nice pool, nice garden in the backyard and its close to the beach. We had a slight issue with the check-in, as our reservation was under a different name and they were very confused. This was solved in 10 mins, but it was an unpleasant surprise after a 6 hour drive. I would stay here again if visiting Sayulita.

Unfortunately my kids got the stomach flu and one of them puked on the bedding over night. I told the staff in the morning and removed it myself. - juice (8/5): - Awesome hotel. Had it all to our selves since it's off season in the hot humid summer and we were there from a wednesday. It was mango season and we ate enough mangos to fill the desire for a year. If you are alergic to bees it's not recommended because the bees love the mangos that fall in the floor and there are half a dozen or so mango trees which means mangos at every turn. The positive of this is great fresh mangos and mango smoothies in the morning. the pools is great and it's so close to the less crowded side of the beach and turtle center but far from the action of town and surfing areas.

I requested two double beds as I was traveling with my three kids but we were put in a king bed room with a trundle bed. The air conditioning unit made very loud popping noises all night so it woke us up a lot. The breakfast staff were very nice and the food/smoothies were good. The pool was nice as well but there were only theee deck chairs and no pool deck to sit on so we didn’t even use the pool. The ocean was nice and the boogie boarding was a fun way to spend the day.

We got breakfast but there were no coffee refilled were only one drink-either juice or coffee. Weren't told that until we checked out. Asked to stay an extra hour and were charged for that. - Justin (10/5): Awesome stay in Sayulita - Great Hotel in Sayulita. Awesome staff! Very simple accommodations but do not need much more when you have a great beach just a block away. Nice that it is outside of the hustle and bustle of town and really quiet at night. Great breakfast each day with awesome smoothies. Highly recommend it!
- Brian (8/5): - First visit to Sayulita. It's a must see place. The bus there is a bit of a pain as you go through North Hotel area, but, other than that it's the way to go. Don't overpack. There's a bit of a walk when you get off bus. You don't want to pull your luggage.

- house (10/5): Great time in Sayulita! - My wife and I had a great time at Hotel Villas Sayulita! - Yoga is available 6 days a week - Less than 5 minute walk to the beach - In a more residential area, so it is not noisy - Good restaurants nearby, or take a longer walk (15 minutes) to get downtown Very friendly staff who speak excellent English.
- Anne (8/5): Great and surprising. - We were lucky in that we were upgraded to a wonderful suite. However, we saw the regular rooms and they were very good as well. Only a ten minute walk to the action packed town centre but far enough to be quiet and charming.
