• Carolyn (4/5): Needs quite a bit of improvement. - Way too complicated and confusing. Also, no electrical power in the one bedroom and the 2nd bedroom was brutal as the location was above an area where every few minutes you heard car horns beeping and it made it impossible to sleep. When you're paying that much money for a one night stay, we should not have had any of these problems. We were also, told that the guy would be right back with the garage remote and after waiting over an hour, we had to call again and were told that he was busy with other arrivals. Very unacceptable.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Unless you prefer this sort of arrangement - The room was great for all of us who went to anime expo. We had plenty of room to settle everyone. That said this place was great, but we did have a few strong hiccups at the start of our stay and the very end of it. Warning to everyone that this is an apartment NOT a hotel so they way you get your room is by waiting for some one to bring you the one key for the room. In our case that took like an hour because we had to wait for the person to get to the location, it wasn't just us that he was dropping keys off to. This was technically sort of like an air bnb, but in an apartment building which in my opinion is worse because the lobby to this place not very helpful (they have bad communication skills) unless you actually live there. I mean if you're used to renting an apartment room for a few days and like to follow rules precisely (or you will get charged more for stupid mistakes) this is a great place for you. I prefer hotels (I should have read the fine print lol), other than that at least the room and the person bringing you the key were pretty nice.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid at all cost - Absolutely terrible experience! Kept on getting text instructions from a NY phone number telling me all the rules ! at 1 AM the night before! They said "if anyone asks , just tell them you're a customer of SC Deal, nothing more" very mysterious. They wanted $ 30 more for early check in. When I got to the building, at 2:45 pm , the concierge said they had not dropped off the keys yet...They asked for $ 30 for parking, I agreed by text, they never delivered a parking permit ! Very bad experience overall.
• Jackie (6/5): Apartment across the street from convention center - It was very hard to get confirmation and directions directly. You are texted a list of rules that are quite specific. You need these to get your key so you are able to enter the room. You are given only one key, so you need to be cognizant of that if you split up from your party. The rooms were nice enough. The air mattress completely deflated on me my first night, I would recommend the comfy couch instead. It is literally across from the convention center and only a block from a metro stop. I would stay again just for that proximity.
• PDM (6/5): Close to Convention Center - Great place if you just need to sleep and you are on business. Convention Center is literally across the street so very convenient as I was conferencing there. Suite was pleasant enough. Would not be able to cook there even though there is a kitchen (if that is a concern). Too many necessary amenities not there. But if you are looking for a suite instead of a hotel room, this is the place. Only one key fab per room, so if there are two of you and you won't be together all the time, VERY inconvenient. Suite managers were very responsive if there are questions, concerns.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Have to wait in lobby with luggage - If your plane arrives earlier you will have to wait in the lobby with your luggage for check-in at 3pm or pay extra. We were told it was a two bedroom and it was actually a one bedroom with a bed in a den area open to the kitchen. Also only one restaurant in the area.. we had to walk a few blocks till we found great food to eat.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Management is TERRIBLE and RUDE - Management does not inform you of its unique check in situation until 30 minutes before check in time. The POC from the company hung up on me. TERRIBLE!
• Dino (6/5): It's fine...as long as you don't want to cook. - Place was fine. The instructions to get in and how to work everything was good. The air mattress, we booked specifically so that my kids could sleep on that, did not work. It went flat a few times through the evening. (Yes, we know how to work one) Also, the door to the bathroom could not close. We had to use a chair to keep it shut while showering or doing other business. I know this is not necessary, but we booked a loft so that we could make our food at the place and utilize the kitchen. Although there were a few dishes (I think 4 sets) and the most basic pans on the planet, there was nothing else we might need. No paper towels, napkins, no salt and pepper, no oil, no left over butter, no pam spray, litterally, if you wanted anythign else, you were buying it to use it. I understand, that they are not supposed to supply the extras, but I am sure someone else had left a cube of butter or bought some pam spray so as not to make the pan stick or some salt and pepper but they obviously threw it out. There was nothing. We left pam spray. I hope they left it for the next guest. We have stayed at many air B N B situations before and there was at least some catsup in the fridge. ( I think you get the point. So if you really want the bare bones experiance. This was fine...just be sure to pack all the stapels of cooking in the kitchen or you will be buying it eventually.

• Frank (2/5): Avoid like the plague - This is a con, it is not a hotel. Two Chinese guys rent a number of apartments and then rerent them nightly. When I tried to check in there was only a security guard there and he told me he has endless problems with this. The phone number listed on Hotels.com is an answer service that has to send an email to the owners. After 5 attempts I gave up and called Hotels.com. They were just as useless, on an international call I got put through to 3 different people in India who could not help and eventually when someone was trying to find me alternative accommodation I got cut off. Eventually someone called me and arranged a time to meet and show me the room. he was just as fed up with the company and said he was also leaving. Avoid this group like the plague....
• genie (6/5): different kind of hotel - Not sure if this is really a hotel or maybe they rent individual apartments out as hotels? From what we could tell, they didn't seem to have any staff we could speak to about issues we came across other than the parking attendant that checked us in when we arrived, who met us in an alley and gave us our room and garage access keys and took my cc to charge me for parking, I wasn't comfortable with a random stranger charging my card with his cell phone but ok? The room was really nice, full kitchen, small living room and nice bathroom with a separate bedroom. We have two young children so we requested an air mattress before hand for the kids. The bedroom did not have a tv in it so we ended up letting the kids sleep in the bed and my husband and I took the air mattress in the living room so we could watch tv after they went to bed. The mattress did not hold air what so ever. We spent half the night trying to refill the mattress until we finally gave up and tried squeezing all four of us in 1 queen bed.. worst night sleep in a hotel ever. At about 4:30 pm we went down to speak to the people at the "front desk" to ask a question about the room and the two guys that were sitting there chatting amongst themselves, told us we had to call the number that we booked the room with because they were only security. The room was missing a few basic amenities, washcloths, lotion, towels seems pretty old. The bathroom sink faucet was barely hanging on.
• lalove (4/5): ホテル名が表記されていませんでした - アパートメントとして普段使われているところのようでホテルとしての名前は外観に表記がなく迷いました。早めに到着したため荷物を預かってもらおうとしたところ出来ないと言われ困りました。対応、コンドミニアムタイプの部屋は大変良かったですが、ホテル名の表記もしておいて欲しかったです。
• Susie (2/5): Horrible Experience!! - When we first arrived to the hotel, we had to wait 20 minutes to check in. We were told that the previous guest had a cake fight during a birthday party and it would take them some extra time to prepare the room for us. When walking into our room, my Fiancé and I smelled something horrible. When then walked into the bedroom we realized the previous guest must have vomited in the bedroom. We all know what vomit smells like, so I know we were mistaken. We were in the Los Angeles area for a basketball game and let's just say our trip was ruined. We waited 3 hours for new accommodations, which was entirely to long so we decided to check in at another hotel. I understand that things happen but their customer service was horrible. I was the one who kept picking up the phone to check the status on a new room not once did the company call me to follow up with a status. Long story short, this was in November 2016 and we are now in late February 2017 and I'm still waiting for a refund. Save yourself the horrible experience and book somewhere else.
• Larry (4/5): Echo Chamber - This property is not set-up as a "hotel" is an apt. building with transient clients every now and then. There is no daily house cleaning, the pergo floors bounce sounds waves as walk and it becomes a echo chamber. will not stay there again. As a permanent resident the experience might be a diff. story.

• Richard (6/5): Convention center close - The room was modern and nice. Looked clean but there was a constant bad smell, like maybe something was dead nearby. I was staying for work so I spent little time in the room but had to spray cologne multiple times to overpower the smell.

• Megan (10/5): Luxurious and clean hotel - Overall this was a great place to get away but still be in the hustle and bustle of downtown LA. I would say that getting into the hotel was the only thing that could of been better due to these apartments being rented through a third party. It had a huge bathroom, living room area and great kitchen space. There was underground parking which was a huge plus and made for easy access.

It is an apartment. - This isn't a hotel, it's a small apartment in a very large apartment building being rented out as if it is a hotel room by a non-resident owner. There is no registration desk, absolutely no staff on premises, absolutely no normal hotel services (like maid service, a registration desk, housekeeping service, availability of water and food, etc.), almost impossible to get a problem taken care of, in/out access was a big problem, and the apartment isn't nearly up to the standards of a hotel room. My stay here was a disaster and the worst accommodations experience I've had in 40 years of traveling.
• Mike (2/5): This is an apartment! Not a hotel. - This is not a hotel. It's an apartment house where a non-resident owner rents out a few units. There is ZERO staff on site and ZERO services, apartment poorly set up for guests. Worst 2 nite stay in 40 years of traveling.
• michael (2/5): Very disappointed - It was not clear to me this was a vacation rental. It was described as a two bedroom and it was not. It was also represented as a two bath and it was not. The couch was dirty and tired. There were only two towels two plates. There was no coffee pot. Also to note the room was non refundable which I get but even calling with in 24 hours of booking to cancel they would not. for $370 nightly I expected more.
• Chad (8/5): Great place. - This is an AIR BNB, but it was still great. Awesome room, great building. The pool, gym and rooftop were perfect. We tanned by the pool, worked out in the gym and BBQed on the roof. We came here for the clippers and lakers game and this place is a 5 minute walk from the Staples Center. The ONLY downside was that since it isn't an actual hotel, there was no room service or maid service. But that didn't bother me. Great place.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - they couldn't let me check out late even if i checked in at midnight, and they couldn't let me leave my luggages at the counter or something. they said i had to leave by 11;30. For this price..... i didn't expect this kind of service..... and i didn't know it's a apartment/hotel place before either. So i had trouble getting the key from security, and had trouble of getting in the building as well. so.... yea it was actually pretty bad and for the price..... it's pretty unacceptable actually.
• Mark (8/5): Close to Staples Center - I had no idea when I booked this room on Expedia that it is an AirBnB room. I wanted something close to the Staples center and this was a great location. I could walk to the center. The room is very modern to the point that it is a bit cold and austere which is not my personal preference. A nice kitchen, but you must supply any items you want, i.e., coffee, etc since none are supplied.
• Linda (8/5): Great Location! - This wasn't actually a "hotel", it's an apartment complex that rents out their fully equipped units. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. It had a fully functional oven, refrigerator and microwave. It even had pots and pans, dishware and silverware. The rooftop lounge is beautiful and relaxing with the patio furniture, TV, and fireplace. There are also barbecue grills available for use. It also has amazing views of the city. The location is fabulous: walking distance to the LA Convention Center, Staples Center, Microsoft Center, and LA Live. When you check in, you have to call the number provided and someone meets you to drop off the keys and instructions for parking, etc. Overall, it was a great stay and I would consider staying here again!

• RM (8/5): Location, location, location - Great place, but NOT a hotel. This is an apartment complex directly across from the LA Convention Center and a 5-min walk to Staples Center. Pros: Location, location, location! Convenient for nearby events and the building has amenities like pool, fitness and business center, etc. The room is spacious with full kitchen, washer, dryer, and a (very limited) set of dishware and cooking utensils. Cons: There is no daily housekeeping, room service, concierge, bell desk, etc. Check-in is at 3 pm with a slight possibility of early check-in for $30, IF available. Check-out time is strictly enforced at 11 am. Overall pleasant experience.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst experience I've had - Booked Friday-Sunday. Called to let them know I need to request a late check in(3am sat morning) staff said that would be ok. I arrive at 3am with no staff around. Finally a security gaurd shows up and says he has no keys available for me. I call the number provided on Expedia with no answer. I had to call the 1-800 number 3 times to get the person who was handling my stay to answer. Finally they let me know my keys should be up front for pick up. I tried to go back into the building to let the security gaurd know my keys should be there and he yells through the locked glass doors "do you live here? I told you I don't have keys here for you." Finally the person who is handling my stay calls me and tells me, again, my keys should be there. There apparently was a mix up with my keys being switched with another customers keys. Huge inconvienve for us that resulted with us waiting outside for 1 hour afraid we were t going to have anywhere to stay. On a good note, the apartment was nice and in a good location. If you don't want to deal with not having front staff 24hrs(like a hotel) I would not recommend staying here.

You can also park at the convention center directly across the street for $20. Overall highly recommended especially if you need to be close to the convention center, staples, LA live etc.
• Amos (6/5): Nice apt w/ pool, roof access, otherwise sketchy. - This is not a hotel but rather a sublet of an apartment within an apt building. Hence there are no hotel services. In fact we never met the person who rented us the place since he just left a key with the concierge. It was not easy to find the place and parking was really confusing. Before we got there we received obscure text messages from the owner, presumably, saying we have to pay extra $30 per night for parking. He actually wanted our CC details over text (again this is someone I never met that claimed to be in charge of the sublet). After a long back and forth texting he directed us to the designated parking lot (apparently I had the remote for the gate in key bundle I had received but the person texting didn't say anything. prob since he wanted to charge out card before disclosing the parking location). I must say this whole parking story was very sketchy. The apartment is nice and comfortable (2 full size beds + inflatable matress) But...AC didn't work, no utensils in kitchen, limited number of towels and it can get quite noisy from the street if the windows are open since the apt faces the busy Figueroa st). On a good note, there is access to the roof and pool of the complex which were great. Overall stay was OK, albeit pricy and as mentioned a bit sketchy. Don't think I will use them again.
• John (4/5): Not For Busy Business Travelers - Would have been better off staying in a real hotel. Though this VRBO-type studio would be good for long-term, it was not a great choice for an overnight stay. The room was missing standard hotel amenities like coffee, wash cloths, decent shampoo, conditioner and soap, down pillows, extra blankets. It was clean for sure, but no more than a Motel 6. Check in was extremely inflexible. I arrived early, and they would not even let me park in their parking structure. I had to park several blocks away just to unload my car in a business downtown LA area.
• rebecca (10/5): Nice Apartment living in downtown LA - It was a quick overnight trip but it felt like home! Beautiful place with all of the amenities! I'd stay again!

• Alison (10/5): Not hotel. Short term rental by owner - Super location across street from convention center, walk 15-20 mins to fashionable restaurants, bars. Brand new 1 BR condo in luxury building. Parking in basement, for a fee. Good luck getting in after hours, luckily I had a car and a gate remote for the parking garage. I had to walk in through the garage, front door didn't open with my electronic key. I am not comfortable with a website called HOTELS.com doing short term rentals by owner. It was not advertised as such on HOTELS.com website, I found out 24 hours prior when the owner texted me with instruction not to mention any rental websites.
• Camie (6/5): Nice hotel, terrible business and staff. - The room and location were what we wanted, but the business and staff were incredibly sketchy and truly awful. The staff was rude, and almost acted accusatory every step of the way, from checking in to trying to leave the parking garage. The letter on the refrigerator says to leave your keys on the counter when you checkout, but it hold the access key to the parking garage so you have to ask the guard on the first floor to let you down. We were walking across the street to the convention center, and I asked the guard of we could leave car parked there, and come get it once we return (30 mins tops). He said he would not have to let us in since the gate would be open, and it was fine to just walk in. So, we tried that, but the gate was locked (mind you, it's all the way around back of the building in an alleyway). I called the # for security I was given in my confirmation email, but it went straight to voicemail. We walked back around, and asked if he could let us down because the gate closed. He took us through the back hallways and said he needed to see our parking pass first. We told him it was in the dashboard like it stated it needed to be. He let us in, and watched us like a hawk the whole way. It just felt very uncomfortable. The confirmation text I was sent said to be sure to say a certain phrase when you came in "I'm a business guest of SC Deal" or they wouldn't give us our keys. He then wouldn't give me the parking pass until I "opened the envelope." So sketchy.
• Kathleen (10/5): NOT A HOTEL! BETTER THAN A HOTEL! - Excellent location, able to walk everywhere you need to go downtown. Clean and contemporary makes you feel right at home.
• Stine (10/5): Fantastisk leilighet! - Leiligheten var utrolig nydelig, og sengetøyet var det beste jeg har sovet i noen gang. Litt langt unna Hollywood, men kan absolutt anbefale denne leiligheten. Jeg kommer gjerne tilbake! Tusen takk for oppholdet!
• Brianna (10/5): Great stay - Our family stayed overnight for a basketball game. When booking, I didn't realize how close the Staples Center is. This hotel was super convenient and accommodating. The Manager was extremely helpful when we had questions. I will definitely remember this hotel for future bookings.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Look elsewhere - Not a hotel. Hard to check in. No direction or check in personnel. I would look elsewhere. Pretty apartment, service quite weak
