- David (10/5): - this place turned out to be a Jim. Can’t imagine coming to St. Louis in the future.
- Metta (10/5): - Great breakfast, easy check in and out. Privacy, had the whole place to ourselves. Like staying at home since decor is like out mountain home.
- Benny (10/5): - Best bed-and-breakfast anywhere around
- Jennifer (10/5): - Fun decor, excellent breakfasts.
- Fernando (10/5): - The Lodge was a great choice for our overnight stay in St Louis. Beautifully appointed, quiet and safe. The staff was amazing and accommodating, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We look forward to coming back and spending more time at this wonderful B&B
- Krystine (10/5): - I stayed in the Christmas room. Very cozy, and even had a working gas fireplace. Breakfast was wonderful and made to order. I’d love to stay here again!
- Thomas (10/5): - Amazing stay!
- Charles (10/5): - The lodge and rooms are clean and very nicely
- Susan (10/5): - The Lodge has been our first choice when we need to stay overnight for my spouse's medical appointments in St. Louis. It's proximity to I-55 makes it easy to locate. The property is amazing both inside and outside. We have been fortunate have Clark on several of our visits and he always gives us excellent service.
- Diana (10/5): - Very unique!! Quiet, access to ice machine qas very convenient.
Only one downfall I didnt like mattress but my husband did
- Venice (10/5): Nice little hideaway! - Very homie and welcoming! Nice little hideaway. Beds a little small for two, but we new that heading in. Lot's of theme rooms to pick from.
- angela (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Anthony (10/5): - Breakfasts was amazing
- Manuela (10/5): - Beautiful decorations inside. I enjoyed the fireplaces and the overall atmosphere. Cute Christmas room!

- Michelle (10/5): - I loved the themed rooms. We stayed in the Christmas room which was charming. Breakfast was wonderful. Definitely going to book another stay.
- ron (10/5): Loved this place - Such a wonderful place. It is a lovely log cabin decorated as such. Each room is decorated different. The best part was the resident manager Vicki who was so nice and friendly and fixed us an amazing breakfast! It’s in a nice and safe location. Will stay there again when in St Louis.
- Michelle (10/5): - The hotel has a beautiful garden and amazing decoration. Most of all, the breakfast was the best ever.
- Kristina (10/5): Memorable stay - Amazing stay, comfy room, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
- Bill (10/5): - Wonderful!
- Cindy (8/5): - The property was beautiful, the room was very clean, the staff was very friendly. But it was anything but quiet. I was well aware that it was a wedding venue but I also was not aware that the rooms were right outside the door of the party room. Saturday night a beautiful wedding and we heard everything that went on. It was not a peaceful romantic evening which is what I was wanting. I would gladly go back any night except a wedding night. I think that's something they should have disclosed, their wedding calendar and that you will be hearing all of it. The music shook the room. The only good thing was it was over at 10:00 p.m. but that's way past my bedtime. LOL
- Benjamin (10/5): - It was great!
- Joseph (6/5): Small rooms, great breakfast - Tiny, tiny room, almost laughable. Bump into everything.
- Timothy (10/5): - Unique property. Very quiet rooms but open common area. Very friendly and experienced staff. Great communication.
- Charles (10/5): - The pleasant courtesy of the staff and the cook to order was very nice
- Paul (10/5): - Excellent and fun place to stay, amazing staff, the breakfasts were all great! We look forward to staying here again sometime!
- Todd (10/5): - Awesome property super quiet and very relaxing, great staff and ambience.
- John Joseph (10/5): - Great service. Our room was very nice, always clean. The breakfast was fabulous.
- Eric (10/5): - The breakfast was wonderful.
- Roam10895806459 (10/5): A high class Mountain Lodge in Missouri. - The bedrooms were smaller than a hotel, but the breakfast was top chef. It felt like we were in the mountains. Such a beautiful lodge type B&B. The owners have created a great place to have a vacation. So many green trees, rustic, classy environment. Best place we will come back. Great price as well.
- Dallas (10/5): 10/10 recommend - Great place to stay. Awesome all the way around.
- Diane (10/5): - Great place! Check in directions were super easy. Very quiet. Theme rooms are nice. Ours had a sliding door to a balcony overlooking the yard and woods. Made to order breakfast was phenomenal and included in the price. Checkout was easy. I would definitely stay again.
- Beth (10/5): - Property is on a no outlet road, making it safe. House is really unique, nice rooms, just a couple things that I brought to managements attention, nothing that would stop us from staying there. Good breakfast in the morning, eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast fresh fruit, waffles, juice..good!
- Luke (10/5): Much better than a hotel - This place is amazing, lots of character, the staff is very nice and accommodating.
- Kenneth (2/5): - Extremly noisy, dont stay if there is an event going on. I was hoping for a nice quiet stay with my wife. So much noise couldnt sleep.
- Susan (10/5): - The lodge is simply amazing! Service is wonderful, the decor is beautiful and it's location is very convenient for our trips into St. Louis.
- Jason (10/5): - Wonderful, outdoorsy themed inn with a ton of personality inside the rooms.
Only downside is limited hot water
- Adam (10/5): - We loved it.
- Roger (10/5): Go Clark go!! - The lodge a beautiful getaway and Clark’s quiche was amazing!!!
- Tara (10/5): - This property was custom and unique. It had a calm ambiance to it. Relaxing, and home like. Not the hustle and bustle of a hotel. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Ease of access in and out of the lodge was easy. I would recommend!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Appreciative. - The stay was good but we are seniors citizens and the low stool in the bathroom was a negative. There should at least be a hand bar to assist if an elevated stool is not possible--like the ones in the public toilets downstairs. The breakfast was delightful.
- Steve (10/5): - Fabulous Lodge. The theme rooms are very clever, a bit small, but great air condition control. The brunch was out of this world. Vicki, our dining expert and her Chef were very personable and did a superb job. I mean, come on, warmed plates for your toast !!! Yup ! Perfectly poached eggs and all the trimmings from their “open” kitchen. This was just us passing through St. Louis on the Interstate. What a breath of fresh air instead of another “motel”! Don’t hesitate to enjoy this Lodge. Steve and Patsy K.
- Ryan (10/5): - This place is awesome! I can’t wait to come back!
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful lodge. The Alaska room is amazing,! This has become our go-to place to stay at when we're in St. Louis.
- Daryl (8/5): - This was our 2nd stay here in recent years. It is a very unique property with lodge like feel. This time we stayed in one of the basic rooms and found it very small and warm. We should have turned the AC on. The rooms are starting to show some wear. Breakfast is excellent, cooked to order. The bread/toast and muffins were on a separate table but we didn't realize till we were leaving. If you want a unique stay, consider this property but try one of the larger suites. Not a lot of dinner options very near but the setting is very nice for a fairly urban area.
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent stay!! - We had a really good time staying here. Sure cute and out of the way. Don’t let the highway keep you from going to this gem. We couldn’t hear it from our room! And breakfast was SO good!
- David (10/5): - Beautiful place.
- Laura (10/5): - I stayed in the Christmas room and the decor and attention to detail were great! The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable.
- Deanne (10/5): Cozy! - We loved our short stay at this cozy bed and breakfast. Self check in was easy. Our room was spotless and felt clean. Ice, water and sodas were available at no charge. The breakfast was delicious and generous! I would love to stay here again.
- Jarrel (10/5): - Very convenient and away from the city!
- Jill (10/5): - The whole building was beautiful, relaxing (4 fireplaces in the main building plus the one in our room), and unique. Many old items and unique items on the walls and all around. Beautiful floors and woodwork.
- Kanisha (10/5): - Excellent visit overall, we’ll be visiting again in the future!
- Susan (10/5): - We had a very relaxing stay. Our room (Alaska) was amazing as was the entire lodge. Service was top notch and breakfast was delicious. This is a hidden gem in St. Louis!
- Emily (10/5): Emily Van Pelt - Beautiful setting. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are themed and beautifully decorated. Only gave a 3 on Eco-friendliness because they don't recycle.
- Scott (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay! Had trouble figuring out how to work the controls for the jacuzzi tub.
- Jean (8/5): - The rooms were clean. Our room needs a little TLC as it had some small dents in the wall. But the room had very nice ambience.
Also, your only pillow choices are "Memory Foam" pillows which were incredibly firm. I am not a memory foam pillow sleeper, and so it felt like I was sleeping on a "brick" all night. It would be nice if the inn offered at least 1 or 2 pillows that were not memory foam.
- Rebecca (10/5): - For time staying here and will definitely be back! The place is adorable, the Alaska room was comfortable with a door leading out to a deck, the breakfast was delicious and everyone was super helpful and friendly. Great job and thank you for making it a great experience. ☺️
- Donavon (10/5): - Nice place to stay. Breakfast was great. Close to downtown.
- Chris (10/5): - Pleasant surprise. Easy access to major highways. Breakfast was fabulous. Easy convenient check in and out. Only complaint although minor was lack of space for luggage and vanity for bathroom items and getting ready. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
- TERRY (8/5): - Overall good experience. Only person from lodge we saw was Vicki, the breakfast hostess, who was great. Breakfast was outstanding. If I were to stay again I would stay on the opposite side from interstate. Very noisy, hard to sleep. Great place for small gathering or event, not so great for restful getaway.
- Kayla (10/5): - I fly in and out of St. Louis once a month for work. I've stayed at multiple hotels, not remaining with the same one due to whatever issue. I stayed at The Lodge on a whim, thinking it would be fun to stay at a themed B&B. I completely underestimated how Beautiful and Stunning this property would be! The room was warm, and inviting, and incredibly comfortable. We had THE BEST BREAKFAST I believe I have ever had outside of the comfort of my own home, including any restaurant we stopped at! I don't know What he put in the potatoes and omelet that I had, but it was downright Magical! The entire experience that morning was one of peace, happiness, and we had a Genuinely WONDERFUL stay! I can guarantee that This is Exactly where we will be returning Every Month! (Stay in the frontier room if you'd like, that was the room we had, but we're going to try the Alaska room next!)
Thank you for your hospitality, your kindness, and how impeccable you kept the property for us and the four other families that were there!
- Khristy (10/5): - The way the rooms were decorated.the wife and loved it. Excellent breakfast!
- Debbie (8/5): - Had a nice time
- Rebekah (10/5): - One of the best experiences ever! We stayed in the Washington Suite and had a fabulous getaway weekend. And Vicky our hostess was the BEST! She gave us excellent ideas of things to do in the area. If we are ever in the St Louis area again we will be back!
- 795davec (10/5): Excellent for privacy and ambiance - My wife and I were taking a mid-week trip shortly after Labor Day and had the entire house to ourselves for 2 nights between 2 busy weekends. So... we got to "explore". Very well put together rustic-like large house with about 7 different rooms to stay in, a breakfast/dinner area, a couple of sitting areas with fireplaces, an outside patio and a grassy area with trees making it feel private, and a private bathroom connected to every room! There were interesting ambiance things like stone fireplaces, walls with antlers and a bearskin in the common areas like a true hunting lodge. And... conveniently located right off I-55. All the rooms are clean and feature some sort of different theme. We stayed in the Mississippi room with a balcony overlooking the back. The rooms on the top floor are the fanciest. Service was great. Attaching pictures of several parts of the house and grounds.
- Michael (10/5): - The staff was amazing!
- William (10/5): - Nothing bad to say about the property, the staff, the stay other than the bed we felt was a little too hard and the pillows were also very hard. We asked for soft pillows and they brought additional pillows, but they were also hard. Maybe mattress topper or your pillows would be beneficial. Just extremely hard for us.
- 604trudieh (10/5): Checked all our boxes! - Spent 3 nights in the Mississippi room on a vacation to the St Louis area. This place checked all the boxes being clean, secure, friendly staff, and wonderful breakfast each morning. (So much better that what you get at chain hotels!) It's quick 15 minutes to the Arch and 10 to Grant's farm/White Haven. They did host a birthday celebration the first evening with a live band, which we were told about ahead of time and as promised, it wrapped up around 10pm. It wasn't a problem for us and the band was really fun to listen to from our room! Great restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner including Wagner Steakhouse and Rizzo's Italian. We also ate at Pappy's Barbeque, which was well worth the wait and has forever spoiled us on ribs!
- Melinda (10/5): - This B&B is top notch! There is plenty of space to just be, whether indoor or out. Love the lounges and seating throughout, love the balconies and patio, indoor fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, patio swing, even the doe and fawn on the grounds - which tells just how peaceful this place is. Breakfast is deliciously made to order, with chef's choices earning true sighs of delight from both of us.
- Donna (10/5): - This was the most intetesting place I have ever stayed. The room was large, even had a 4 person table in it. The breakfast was very filling and Vicky took great care of everyone.
- Tricia (10/5): LOVED IT - AWESOME! A lovely property in the middle of a huge city, I felt like I was in the country. Clark, my host was gracious and attentive.
I. have already told my friends they had to stay here when they come to STL.
- Kaitlin (10/5): - This stay was on the last night of a cross country road trip with a friend. We stayed in one of the largest suites with a huge bathtub and beautiful furnishings. There was a wedding happening in the hotel as well that night but the party didn't inhibit our stay at all. It was kinda fun to take a peek at the newlyweds while they were taking photos. For being so close to a highway, it felt closer to being in the woods than a city.
The breakfast in the morning, even though we came down almost at the very end, the food was delicious and the waitress was just lovely to talk to as she bustled to set up our table. She had put the settings away not knowing we were just sleeping in late that morning. I'm really curious what the check in process is like if you arrive on time since everything else was an smacking one of a kind experience. Our keys were in an envelope with my name on it and a note with hotel instructions, like where our room was, on a beautiful writing desk in the front entryway.
Someday I hope to come back to this property for a weekend getaway or something like that. I would say my favorite feature was the TV not being front and center on the wall across from the bed. It was off to the side, up high, and small. You could forget it was there and we did. This was my first time in St. Louis and I am excited to visit again. It's live to se the property in the fall next time I think.
- Joyce (10/5): - The property was very comfortable--a rustic, well appointed lodge close to all St Louis attractions!
- Alan (10/5): - Wonderful staff!
- Dale (10/5): - Unique rooms and very decorative.
- Judy (10/5): - My sister and I wanted to visit our home town, we wanted to spend sometime on the greenway and be close to relatives. It was amazing, so much fun....breakfast was delicious and the Clark couldn't have been nicer or more professional. WE will be back.
- Mary (10/5): Charming Place! - I loved the ambiance, and the breakfast was phenomenal.
- Hernan (10/5): - Beautiful place.
The decor is exceptional. One of a kind. I highly recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very enjoyable stay with an excellent breakfast
- Amanda (10/5): - My husband and I brought our toddler granddaughter here for the weekend and it was a wonderful venue ! The staff is amazing, breakfast was delicious and made to order. It was a great experience and we look forward to going back soon.
- William (10/5): - Very quirky with the themed rooms loved it and the staff were amazing and pleasant highly recommend. Breakfast was fantastic. Was short drive to stadium for the ball game very convenient. The bad things I can not think of any things was great time highly recommend.
- Christina (10/5): - Very unique mountain lodge ambience in St. Louis. Accommodated my early breakfast need to catch flight. Thanks!
- Dale (10/5): - Very interesting building designed to look like an old lodge, but built 25 years ago.
- Kent (8/5): - Nice, clean, no nonsense!
- Dale Diane (10/5): - My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We like to bike ride and you can access the Grant trail right off of the parking lot. This place is a beautiful log home with themed rooms - we stayed in the Frontier room. The decor was really cool with rawhide curtains and tables, a beautiful log crafted bed and a fireplace. The room was very comfortable. In the morning, we were treated to amazing breakfasts prepared for us that included potatoes, an omelete, bacon, fresh fruits, coffee, fresh orange juice and sausage. I would highly recommend this place whether you bike ride or not. Its a comfortable, memorable stay.
- Jason (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - What a fantastic place to stay. The room was comfortable and the decor made it feel so relaxing. I felt like a welcomed friend the moment I walked in there. it's also a place that could be quite romantic...I made a mental note to bring someone special back here sometime. I really needed this place to be the real deal, and it far exceeded expectations.
- Neil (10/5): Amazing!! - This was by far the most amazing stay I’ve had at any hotel and I’ve stayed at plenty, all over the world! This weekend the Lodge had holiday parties booked so they didn’t have any guests besides my Wife and I. It made for a wonderful experience. The breakfast was amazing the next morning with our Host greeting us and having breakfast for 2 set up. Such a wonderful experience! Thank you all so much!
- Matthew (2/5): Worst Stay ever, wont ever return - Our stay was terrible. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was hot when we arrived and couldn’t get temperatures to come down even with AC on, the shower was way too hot my wife got burned by the water. The management didnt care about a refund.
- Jerry (10/5): - Very interesting decor and theme rooms. Well worth a visit
- Jacob (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here. Check-in was a beeeze, room was so cozy and clean, breakfast in the morning was incredible! Staff is so courteous and friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
- Sandra (10/5): - Very cute bed & breakfast hotel. Wonderful cooked to order breakfast. Only downside is the noise from nearby highway.
- Kathy (10/5): - I was looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay for a couple days while in St Louis. I love my room with the Alaska theme. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Check in was seamless. Definitely would recommend this Inn
- Dale (10/5): - This is a fabulous place to stay. Quiet with no distractions. Felt at home. Wonderful breakfast each morning.
- Ann (10/5): - Beautiful room. Excellent breakfast. Great staff!
- Kelli (10/5): - Check in was extremely easy, the room was so cute, clean and quiet, the atmosphere was incredible and the breakfast was so delicious. It was the prefect weekend getaway for my husband and myself. We’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast and now we are already planning our next trip here. We loved every thing about this place and would highly recommend it.
- Georgia (10/5): - The Lodge was beautiful and very clean. Wonderfully decorated. We would definitely stay here again and tell others how great it was.
- Elizabeth (10/5): A wonderful place to visit - I don’t even know where to begin talking about how amazing the Lodge at Grant’s Trail is! It was very easy to access our room when we arrived, and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the lodge. The safari room was very comfortable, and the pillows were some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was a feast. I cannot recommend this place too highly.
- Micheal (10/5): Couples Getaway - Wonderful stay! Everything was so clean and beautifully appointed. The breakfast was great! Will definitely return!
- Robert (10/5): - Love the atmosphere.
