- Jonathan (6/5): Stay was fine room wasn’t cleaned or restocked - Access
- Angie (7/5): -
- Devron (5/5): -
- Diana Grace (3/5): - The price was ok. And the location was close to a main highway The staff weren't very helpful. The windows came off in our hands when we went to open them, they didnt slide to open they just popped out which was unsafe considering we were on the bottom floor. The TV could've been a little bigger for the size of room we were in. They only had 2 pillows, when we asked for more the manager was rude about it.
- David (2/5): scary hole - close to George thorgood concert noise kids on drugs up all night talking about killing stabbing
- Pamela (1/5): - What a horrible place When I pulled the blankets back there was blood on the sheets. When I went to get a refund I was told no. Then they kept my damage deposit.
- Adams (5/5): - It was worth wat I paid I guess
- Goulet (10/5): - Good location, quiet, and Everything was GooD 👍 At checkout, I found it a bit difficult to be calm, I got a phonecall that was so ignorant, I left without collecting my Deposit, anyway, all fair.
- Moosomin (1/5): -
- Justin (10/5): Still in the city but felt like I was in the country. It was peaceful and quiet. - Polite clean and affordable. It was definitely convenient and a good value. It was easy to check in and I like the staff.
- Judy (4/5): -
- Melisssa (10/5): - The bed was really comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Easy to work with. Kitchenette was very user friendly.
Thank You
- Gagandeep (1/5): Stay on your own risk. It's very dirty place. - Rooms were stinky, mice were running inside the room. When I put this issue to manager, she was very rude to me. I ask numerus time then she change my room around 11.30 pm. Bur other room has same problem. I couldn't sleep all night. I will say, never book this hotel. Stinky rooms, rude staff mice are running on beds and all over in rooms.

- Mohammadi (7/5): It seems there's a problem with the electricity. Because we couldn't charge our phones. -
- deangL2710KL (2/5): Hate this place - They Raped Me for my $150 Deposit for some stained linens and towels . Can you believe that? I've never in my life been treated with such b.s.

- I1994WQmarkw (4/5): Up most of the night because of dust allergies and traffic noise for room 201, the end unit beside the highway. - The room right beside the highway needs an upgrade for noise. Traffic also creates more dust so need to wash the blankets at least once a week if not used. Heat radiators need to washed once a year as regular maintenance BEFORE the colder weather. Shower needed cleaning better, not just the tub.
- Kathy (10/5): -
- Morin (8/5): - Quite, Simply well taken care of and the room was clean and tidy Nice size rooms with fridge and microwave. For a short time I was comfortable
- Morin (9/5): - Comfortable and affordable Had a great time for a short stay
- Discover324499 (2/5): Horrible experience! Stay away! - Extremely unprofessional staff and management, rude and incompetent! Stay away by all means! Cheap rate but so cheap is the service!
- windel (7/5): -
- lloydd48 (6/5): Enjoy life - Returning home from work and take directions by google maps …ended up here and there…safety and good not travel at night is great practice.
- Rocio (2/5): - Dirty room absolutle horrible
- Nicole (6/5): - Staff was helpful and courteous when asked. Unfortunately the only 2 major down sides were that the first night we stayed we had no heat as it had not been turned on yet. And second because of the room we were in was so far away from the Wi-Fi router we had spotty internet at best if at all.
- Enola (8/5): - The property is a nice quiet location. We booked it last minute for our stay in Edmonton. They have a continental breakfast, with your basic needs (Coffee, Cereal, milk, bread, pastries, Yogurt, etc..) the rooms were quiet. The only thing that we were uncomfortable with was how cold it was. The heat wasn’t working, or it wasn’t turned on yet (not sure if that’s a thing) but they had some nice comfortable blankets.
- Jeisson (2/5): - Error
- Kristin (6/5): - Kitchen was equipped but not cleaned, someone else's food was still in the fridge
- Q1810FTcharlest (8/5): Our stay at Thriftlodge Edmonton. - Friendly staff.
Brekkie adequate.
Comfortable mattress but bed had only one pillow per person and needed another blanket or quilt, as room was on the cooler side and thermostat inaccessible behind lock and key.
Shower curtain needed a bleach job to remove mold. Bathtub had scum marks.
Property along major thoroughfare but challenging to access.
- Shianne (10/5): Very good for the price - The customer service was great. Got us an early checknl in even when fully book.
Smelled very clean.
I get that its a thriftlodge motel. Looks like mostly blue collar workers stay there. But it was clean, safe, and extremely well priced.
Beds were hard. But thats nothing to really complain about. I like soft matresses. Others might love it.
- Jennifer (2/5): - This room should never be allowed to be for that regardless of what is going on in Edmonton
This room is likely rented out by the hour
I wouldn’t even put my bags on the bed
No refund was given!
- Cam (2/5): - Booked four nights, stayed for one. I had room on 2nd floor with drug seeking individual banging on door. Resident drug dealer in next room came out with hammer. I called cops as staff wouldn't. I requested to be moved to a different room and was told there was none available. I requested refund and was denied. Safer sleeping in your car than here.
- Samier (10/5): - Easy excess
- Sarah (8/5): Excellent - Thank you Leak in bathroom floor
- Rose (10/5): - for the price I paid, it is really good
- Ernest (4/5): - Old and smelly.
- Harvey (8/5): -
- Muhammad (4/5): - Rooms was clean,
Steong smoking smell in the rooms
Bedding was also not in good condition
- Kaushik (8/5): - Overall its not bad. Nice
- Renee (2/5): - We accidentally booked the wrong type of room the night before our young son’s emergency surgery and I deeply regret choosing this place. While check-in was quick, the manager was completely unhelpful and curt, handing us the key and saying only “101.”
The room itself was unacceptable. The furniture looked mismatched and neglected, and the gap under the door was so large we could see daylight and easily slide objects through and it was clear pests could get in. The bathroom was filthy, with visible dirt, dust, and hair, and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly in ages. The bed was made over a stained, old brown blanket that clearly hasn’t been washed, and the room only had two pillows, no real comforter, and a single chair to sit on.
We explained the situation, acknowledged our booking error, and offered to pay the difference for a better room. Instead of helping, the manager coldly told us we’d need to pay full price for a whole new room and handed us a single towel and a thin comforter. That was it.
At 10 p.m., stressed and exhausted, we packed up our child and drove to a real hotel that treated us with compassion and care.
This property is dirty, poorly maintained, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. If you value cleanliness, safety, or even basic kindness, stay far away.
- Mohammed (6/5): - Hotel is old, A/C is ancient! Staff were supportive and trying to help, but fans cannot cool the room!
For $140/night I could’ve got into a much closer and better hotels!
Never again!
- Patsy (4/5): - I wanted a kitchenette so l could cook my supper thought perfect this place has a kitchenette well this place had no dishes no pans no silver ware l have never been in a place with a kitchenette that had nothing to cook in or even silverware or a plate. So didn’t get to eat supper had groceries no way to cook .So l bought that’s on it’s late anyway l will wait for breakfast well only thing they had was cereal toast n apples muffins not a hot breakfast for sure n l am allergic to gluten so no breakfast then l remembered l had left my camping bag in car which had a small pan so l did get to cook had nothing to clean my pan with but at least l got some food Now the unsafe part the bedroom window the lock was broken it was facing a alleyway n open field .l had a long screwdriver l put in window so it would only open so far .Frint door lock was broken as well had safety lock but anyone can take a screwdriver n unlatch it so l pulled large heavy chair in front of door .l didn’t sleep well n l kept bear spray beside me..I left my room to go for bed fast my room card wouldn’t work so l went n told front desk she reswiped my card still didn’t work she came running over said sorry this lock is broken so they knew lock was broken n rented it out anyway to a lady travelling alone in a strange city.Regardless of my gender it’s unsafe as far as l am concerned .beside a busy highway in a big city .And another thing no iron that was icing on the cake.Ugh
- Troy (6/5): - Room was cheap so expectations werent high. And the room was exactly what i thought it would be. A cheap hotel.
- Boubaker (10/5): - Polite staff, and i asked to change a room that I wasn't comfortable in, the staff she was helpful and move me to another room. Nice clean, safe,
- Lara (4/5): - You get what you pay for things were falling apart had a coffee maker in room with no place to plug it in not impressed at all
- Lina (4/5): Dirty hotel - This palce is very dirty, bathroom is stained and curtain looked moldy
- Graydon (2/5): - We needed to reset our room keycards twice, the washroom wasn't totally clean, the beds caused back issues for two of us, and the cops were called on the neighbouring room during our last night there, causing us to feel unsafe and under-slept. I also had to eat breakfast elsewhere due to my dietary restrictions (GF, DF). We will not be staying here again.
- Phil (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable
- Hammou (2/5): - OMG, the worst thing ever happened to me, the smell was unbearable, and the AC noise was a total nightmare.
- Dave (5/5): -
- springm777 (10/5): It was a nice comfortable stay - The pillows are comfy , it was cozy, privilege to be there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pricing was very reasonable
- Nicole (2/5): - First room no working AC, switched rooms now no working TV. We were offered a refund and found somewhere else to stay. Front desk staff was lovely…..not her fault
- Derek (10/5): - Awesome
- Justin (4/5): - Rooms were hot and less than ideal. Room had a smoke smell.
- 754barbk (6/5): Could Use Upgrading - Some rooms have a very heavy smoking presence. When allergic to smoke this is not a good thing. Had a severe reaction to first room assigned. Front clerk did find a room that was not heavily inundated with smoke. It still had a smell but very faint. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms are very dated and need a deep cleaning to illuminate the smoke smell. Bed was a metal framed bed that squeaked with every movement. Mattress was okay. Shower head sprayed out the side and tub was pink dating it to more than 35 years old.
Would be nice if tea would be added to the choice of drink instead of just coffee in the rooms. Continental breakfast was nice but a bit bland. A waffle maker would be a nice addition besides the cold choices offered.
You get what you pay for. Price was very reasonable for my 3 night stay.
- Gloria (2/5): - Ths property looked good from the photos but upon arrival was very run down. It needs some major work. We were willing to give it a go regardless. Until we found out there was no cold water.
We requested the kitchenette so we could cook our own meals to save on money. But you had to ask for everything in order to do any cooking or eating.
- herman (8/5): - Kind of outdated but the price was right
- Sky (1/5): Bad - Not much The sheets were not clean, the bed was lumpy and too soft to sleep on, and there was a bug strip on the floor. The floors were grimy, and the toilet was so low that you were almost sitting on the floor. We ended up sleeping in our car in the parking lot.
- Zachary (8/5): Great breakfast shitty staff home away from home - It was spacious and like having your own apartment, the price a little for it being thrift lodge but other than that and the shady location a bonus is the breakfast and they don’t have a staff member watching you eat making you feel uncomfortable about the whole breakfast thing. The staff though ruined what might have been a much longer. We were intending on staying a month but they didn’t want to even admit that it was an option. When clearly by talking to other guests that stay there on monthly bases. The staff I guess it was one guy but he was rude not trying to work with us at all. Made things very hard to understand.
- Shaw (3/5): Poor - The place was in a great spot just off the highway The beds were very uncomfortable, so uncomfortable that we left a day early
- S (6/5): - Clean, and very supportive customer service at front desk.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Last resort - I don’t wanna be too hard on the owners of this place, but it’s kind of a dump. The price is right, but the rooms are trashed and the bed is uncomfortable. It had an air conditioner, but it was so loud I couldn’t sleep over the noise. When I turned it on it shot dirt all over the bed. Wasn’t expecting much but they missed the mark.
- Mary-Anne (2/5): - Dirty floor
Bugs fltung around
Rip off
Left my rings at the hotel
- Rene (8/5): - Rooms just a little cramped but good and clean.
- marypU5573AF (8/5): Would come again - Affordable stay . A bit close to highway so can be loud at times. Otherwise units are quiet and staff where nice. Continental breakfast was a added bonus for rhe price point. I did like the home touch of plants at dining area. Of ypu come in summer tonnes of raspberry bushes in back field pretty neat.
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Marc (2/5): - No eoom available
- Maps33721153710 (10/5): Just Wow - Location 10 min to Mall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- Troy (10/5): - Excellent hotel and friendly people
- Natasha (2/5): - There was absolutely nothing to like. There were used tea bags left on the caffeine machine, dirty dead bugs everywhere. It was filthy and I did not even get a refund.
- Craig (2/5): - The dirtiest place i ever stayed
- Joanie (8/5): - Quick friendly perfect stay
- Terrilyn (2/5): - Aweful experience and will never be back. Staff are ignorant, property was loud and unsafe all night. Room was dirty.
- NORMAN (4/5): Not as cozy as the pictures. - The room looked nothing like the pictures and the free breakfast was limited to boiled eggs as the protein.
- Josh (8/5): - Liked the breakfast
- Gavin (2/5): - Room reeked of cigarettes upon arrival. Floor was dirty and there was a soap bar used by a previous attendant.
- Amanda (4/5): - Kitchenette with no dishes, the webpage states it comes with cribs but it doesn't and there are no high chairs. Price was very good and the room was not horrible but the amenities should not list something that isn't true.
- Ryan (2/5): - We booked here as it was 5 min from a concert we were going to for 80.00. I get it’s a motel and an older place. It was filthy there was hair in the tub, bathroom sink that’s was not mine or my spouse. We went to the concert come back to go to bed pull sheet down there is food crumbs and dog hair I think on the bed. I went to the office to be asked why I did not say anything g soon…. The bed itself was like sleeping on a wooden plank. For 40.00 more I should have booked a hotel and drove 15 min to the concert.
- stan (2/5): - Still in shock of the conditions of the motel
- Rebecca (6/5): - We requested 2 rooms that were dog friendly, when we booked through Expedia, and when we showed up, they were surprised to find out we had dogs and no note was passed on to them. They allowed us to stay and we paid the extra pet fee. When we checked out, they charged us an extra $90, since dog prints were left on the sheets and we were told the extra pet fee we paid didn't cover the cost of cleaning, just the cost of allowing the dogs to stay there. We have never experienced this at other hotels and were under the impression that the fee was to cover any mess left by the dogs.
- Fergus (10/5): - Bed was nice, bath tub had some hair on it from other users, not that far from west Edmonton mall.
- Francis (10/5): - Excellent staff and service
- James (4/5): - Not a bad hotel, but probably my worst room in awhile.... no cold water, weird complaint i know. Couldnt shower cause the water was soooo hot. The room was also like a sauna even sfter turn the heat off and turning on 2 air-conditioner units. Barely slept cause of the heat. Literally like sleeping in the heat of a foreign country.
- Kori-leigh (5/5): Passable -
- Beatrice (8/5): - I've stayed here several times. It is less expensive than most. Nothing fancy but clean and quiet. Convenient location. Offers 'continental breakfast' Real Cream would be nice. I'll stay here again because its great for just a good place to sleep.
- Penny (8/5): - The staff were wonderful and accommodating. We were upgraded we needed a kitchen. The kitchen is a blank slate and empty but just ask the front desk for whatever you need for cookwear etc and even sink plugs. We would stay next time in this king size suite. It was clean and did not see any issues... Oh yes there wasn't any heat when we first moved in but used the oven to keep the rooms comfortable.. They were fixed the next day..
- Rohit (10/5): - Nice
- J5343XCjessicad (2/5): Extra Deposit Charge - Was charged an additional $136.45 for room deposit on check out, was told it would be refunded in 3-5 days and still waiting over 7 days later.
No water upon waking which wasn't ok as we had interviews first thing and couldn't even use the toilet.
- Jessica (2/5): - I stayed there in Jan 22-23. Had a second charge for deposit taken off, was told it was a glitch and it would be cleared on my card in 2-5 days. It's been over a week and still they haven't refunded the glitch charges.
- Brandon (2/5): - Did not meet the photos online the sheets were yellow with stains and the bathroom towels were stained and the furniture was something from a yard sale
- johndE5234AC (2/5): GROSS, RUDE RONT DESK LADY, DRUG ADDICTS - Do not stay here rude front desk , room smells like pee would not give me refund because I booked online ..
Place is full of drug addicted people wandering outside
They come scrape the parking lot after leaving it for days at 2 am and wake you up
Tried to charge me for stains in towels the i did not even use due to them being so disgusting
One of the things that really gets me here is the rude Filipino lady at the front desk she is AWFUL at her job and super RUDE
Do not stay at this place save yourselves the trouble spend the extra 20 bucks a night go down the road
- Lance (6/5): Good place for a one night stay - Breakfast It's very hot in the room
- TJ (4/5): - N/a
- Samantha (4/5): - i guess you get what you pay for. the pictures online are very inaccurate. there was duct tape holding up a damaged wall. sheets were very discolored. bed was a bit lumpy. no thermostat, so at times it was really hot, other times, kind of chilly. clean but shabby. this woild not be my first choice for future trips.
