Guest Reviews
- Lisa (10/5): - This is a wonderful choice if visiting the Saugerties area. It is a little pricey but it’s set in a beautiful are, has a balcony with a view and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very accommodating as well.
- Benjamin (8/5): - There was a wedding happening so no room service. The staff seemed unable to deal with the fact there was a wedding happening
- Alon (8/5): - This is such a charming little spot with amazing views of the waterfalls! There are plenty of cool places nearby, all within a quick 10-minute walk. Just a heads-up, the bugs can be a bit of a nuisance, so be sure to keep your screen closed at all times (they even have you sign a form for it!). Also, the TV didn’t seem to be working too well.
- Luis (10/5): - Everything is excellent and clean, great bed great amenities- the water fall trail is rough but the view from the balcony is beautiful
- alan (6/5): - I found it if I booked this morning instead of last night the room was $35 less!
- Hadassah (10/5): - Wonderful place for calm and relaxation!
- jerry (8/5): - Nice hotel
Wonderful restaurant
Hotel a bit overpriced ,
- min (8/5): - The hotel was nice but the surrounding area is a litt
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice experience - We had a great experience. We love the view from our deck. Only I have a little suggestion with the table and chairs on the deck - they’re too high for the deck it feels like you going to fly out of the deck, especially if you travel with kids, it will extremely hazardous, plus they are kind of difficult to reach and seat comfortably. That is the only negative comment that can be improved.
Otherwise the rest of the room was very comfortable and impeccably clean, I love it!! Also I love the sound of the waterfall 👌👌 definitely I recommended.
- Cesar (10/5): - Amazing Spa services . Great farm to table restaurant
- Diana (2/5): - Staff is NASTY knocked on my door because it was 11:10am and I was stil not out! Paid $445 just for one night!!!
- Jenna (6/5): - This was our third stay at Diamond Mills and I think there needs to be some updates before I would ever pay almost $500 a night again. The sliding door didn’t close all the way which let in numerous spiders. Cobwebs were in the corners of the rooms near the sliding door. The cushions on the chairs outside were covered in black mold.
- Anna (10/5): - The bedroom is great, especially with the view of the little waterfall. Food is amazing, and lobby service was impeccable.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Very nice and clean hotel
- Kristie L. (10/5): - Beautiful hotel
- Maurice (10/5): - Wonderful location and very quiet
- Tanya (10/5): - This place was amazing, the view absolutely cannot be beat. On top of that adults can enjoy free access to a really cool spa across the river. Super relaxing to enjoy the jacuzzis and sauna by the river and a cold plunge to get the endorphins flowing. Every staff member was kind and welcoming. Thank you all!
- Ellen (10/5): - Loved all the staff we encountered during our weekend wedding. The radiant heat on bathroom floors…a real treat!
- William (2/5): - My wife and I were looking forward to our stay at the Diamond Mills resort. We made a reservation and it was confirmed. 2 days prior to our stay, we got a call that there was a “problem” with our reservation. Our room was not available. They did not give us a reason, why our room was not available. They would refund our money and provide a room just off the resort. The "room" was the second story of an old renovated house with very steep stairs in an alley with boarded up houses. We looked at the room and immediately went back to the hotel desk and turned in the keys. The hotel staff did not even say a single word to us. We have no idea what the resort offered. We never got pass the front desk. When we checked our credit statement, they had not refunded our money. We had to call the hotel to get this resolved.
- Christina (10/5): - Beautiful resort in Saugerties. Gorgeous king bed room overlooking the falls with a balcony. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t nice, but I still enjoyed it.
- John (10/5): - The waterfall adjacent to the property serves as a natural white noise which allows for a restful night's sleep. I met the proprietor, and he was very friendly. We were in town for a marathon that his son was organizing and it was amazing. The spa was very new, and the service was excellent. We had a very good meal at the restaurant.
- Dennis (8/5): - Small lobby, small gym, continental breakfast is pretty low budget. But the room was great and the balcony looking at waterfall off the room was great.
- hany (10/5): - 3rd time at Diamond Mills,we love the location, rooms and the property in general is very good, cleaning is thorough and rooms are in good condition, Staff is mostly pleasant.
- Jennifer (8/5): - overall, the hotel was clean and friendly staff. However, I think it’s a bit overpriced. The spa is not on site, we had to drive 3 minutes to get to it (or walk 15 mins). Also the breakfast wasn’t the best, it was just fine. My expectations sadly weren’t met, but maybe they were too high because of the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view, very comfortable beds
- Karen (10/5): - Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Nice amenities. Check in employee was extremely personable.
TV remote was the only thing that gave us a problem. Extremely difficult to navigate the guide or change channels.
- Rachel (8/5): Pleasant stay except for the breakfast - Room was great, service friendly and helpful. We arrived during a snow storm and parking was easy and snow was shoveled and ground throughly salted which was much appreciated. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was lackluster and just like you’d get at a Hampton inn. We are also disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner Sunday night.
- Lloyd (8/5): - The stay was very nice. I only rated it good because it was hard to find the front entrance and the complimentary breakfast was poor quality. The dead bagels and english muffins were not appetizing. The person only brought put the orange juice after everyone left and stuck it in the fridge. Two yogurts in the fridge. Nothing other than butter and cream-cheese to put on the bread. Nothing fresh offered, Just whole apples. I suggest cut up mixed fruit and cottage cheese, bananas. Hard boiled eggs and croissants may be a good idea too.
- William (10/5): - Great hotel, with views that are beautiful, even in winter.
- Nabil (10/5): - Our stay was comfortable and would recommend it to people that visit this area.
- Shane (6/5): - The property was good overall, it was clean and staff was friendly. It was nice that there was an onsite restaurant on the property. Guest also get access to spa amenities. The first night was great, the second night however we noticed the flaw that there was not enough sound proofing in between floors. I’m not sure what was going on, but it seemed like kids were running a race above us. We called the front desk and they said they would handle it. But it honestly didn’t stop until around 2am. Felt like people were stomping and walking all over the room. My wife and I were honestly so tired in the morning. Other than that issue, the property itself was relaxing.
- Lynn (10/5): - Very scenic view of the creek. Staff was very friendly. Several restaurants and shops within walking distance.
- Rahul (4/5): - The rooms are mediocre for the price they charge per night.
The spa and fitness center are off site (15 minute walk) and have very limited hours. This should not be advertised as part of the hotel. It’s a totally separate business.
The front desk was incompetent as well. They had trouble checking us in to our room and didn’t know basic information about their own hotel. Which is fine, but if you’re paying $300 per night, you expect a certain level of professionalism and hospitality.
- Leauna (10/5): - This was our second trip to Diamond Mills. After our first stay, we knew we wanted to come back!! Everyone at both the hotel and restaurant are is so courteous and kind!
- Eerik (10/5): Second awesome stay, can’t wait for third! - This is our second trip to the Diamond Mill, we absolutely love it! The hotel and restaurant are top notch, excellent service, and everyone is friendly. The room we had was awesome, with a great view of the waterfall and Esopus Creek.
- Claire (6/5): - The picture for our room included a fireplace only for us to get to our room and theres not a fireplace, which is fine but don't I clude it in the pictures of the room if it's not going to be there
- Augusto (10/5): - great place and excellent views
- Lauren (6/5): - The man at check in was terrible. He kept me and a line of people behind me waiting while he was on the phone and didn't even attempt to acknowledge our presence. No other staff available to help us.
- Juan (10/5): - Very nice
- Jana (10/5): - Lovely property and restaurant . Our room had a beautiful view of the Esopus River falls . Staff were pleasant .
- Magdalena (10/5): - Beautiful hotel in a great, walkable area. Super clean and staff was wonderful. Will be coming back!
- Lyle (10/5): - Lovely stay. Great overall. Spa is not on site, very much out of the way and quite a far distance away - not reasonably “walkable”. Would be more appropriate and honest to call the Spa a nearby and separate business that has some arrangement with the hotel. It is misleading to represent the Spa to customers in a way that makes it seem like an on-site amenity.
- Denise (8/5): - It was nice quick qetaway. Room was lovely with the balcony. We ate at the restaurant & went to the tavern. All fantastic & staff were all very accommodating
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful hotel (pass on the restaurant) - Beautiful hotel with an amazing view! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was quiet and relaxing. We would definitely come back. There is a restaurant attached that I wouldn't recommend - very over priced and not very well-made food. But, the hotel itself is really great and right on the water.
- Andrea (10/5): - Beautiful views comfortable room...not happy they cancelled our spa appointment ,,,, The reason we chose this place.
- Sana (10/5): - Very clean rooms with a beautiful waterfall view. Radiant heat flooring in the bathroom was a great touch. Continental breakfast was nice for the kids.
- Jorge (10/5): - Great place indeed
- Michelle (10/5): - The balcony view was gorgeous, room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and bathroom was spotless. Would definitely stay here again.
- Judy (10/5): - Great find! We booked this last minute the day before hiking and everything was lovely with that extra touch! When we arrived we explored the waterfall area and drive just a few minutes to the preserve and walk to the lighthouse. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but could have really enjoyed them after our hike.
- MD JAMIL (10/5): - I have stayed 100s of hotels but this is the best stay ever. The falls view from the room. It was stunning, love it.
- Barbara (6/5): - fitness area downstairs had no water, tissues or towels for guests. No tv remote control. Hotel tried to send us to their spa off-site but we didn't want to drive so early in the morning to workout.
- Sarah (10/5): - Lovely stay!
- Adam (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and intimate.
- Adamantia (10/5): - Beautiful Hotel with so much character. Rooms and bathrooms were immaculate, seemed recently renovated. Breathtaking view of bridge and waterfall in the back. Also very close to town with great dining options, I definitely recommend, and I’ll definitely be back!
- Rodjana (2/5): - The room was full of flies and mosquitos and they just gave us a spray and told us you have no choice but sleep there.
- hany (10/5): - Been here last year and decided to go back because we enjoyed it a lot last year, same this year, very clean, great location, quite during the week,it does get busy starting Friday.
Good shopping and dining options around although limited on operating hours.
The Hotel restaurant is upscale and have a nice vibe but not the best for kids.
- Joe (6/5): - Every room has a view to the waterfalls. Amazing. Geated bathroom flooprs, balcony, ropms perfectly appointed. Spectacualr stay. Minor trip up during check in becuase we booked through Expedia but the desk offered us coffe and a spot in eeception to unwind while they got it sorted.
- Jenna (10/5): - The staff is always friendly. The rooms are prestige (heated bathroom floors, comfy beds, wonderful sound machine) and the balcony view is fantastic. My husband and I come here every once in awhile just to escape for a night and the experience is always great. Walkable into the village for shopping and dining. Definitely recommend.
- stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful location, convenient to visiting Bard College across the river, about 20-25 min away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Easter weekend getaway - The stay at Diamond Mills was great for mental health and nature. The water view room was fantastic and had ample space for two people.
- Emily (10/5): - Great spot. Lovely room
- Henryk (10/5): - Great stay
- Henryk (10/5): - Nicest hotel I stayed In Hudson Valley.
- Bernard (10/5): - The inn is a revamped former mill overlooking waterfalls with some beautiful views. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate. Rooms were clean and spacious. No complaints and a really nice stay
- Raphaella (10/5): - The hotel was beautiful. Every room had a view of the dam. Although the spa and gym were a short drive it was worth it. The Cafe had an amazing breakfast and the manager took us for a tour. The gym is state of the art.
- Emi (10/5): - Nice view
- Jill (10/5): Highly Recommend - We had a lovely stay. Room was beautiful and large and provided a fantastic view of the waterfall. Chocolates upon arrival and had dinner in the on-site restaurant which was great.
- Sue-Naina (10/5): - We had a pleasant stay, and enjoyed our weekend getaway. The room was beautiful and clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Amazing rooms! Friendly staff. Great bar!
- Brittany (10/5): - My husband and I booked a weekend getaway for our anniversary and we had a great time staying at Diamond Mills. The balcony was huge and we had a beautiful view of the waterfall. Very peaceful and a short walk to shops and restaurants.
- Philip (10/5): - Very nice accommodations with a wonderful view of the falls.
- Verified traveler (10/5): All good! - Everything went smoothly and we had no issues. The restaurant next door was delicious and we were all pleased with our stay.
- William (10/5): - The value of the experience for the price is over the top. We had a great time at this property (Fellas your wife or significant other will love the view from the balcony). The service was top notch, everyone was super nice and helpful. The restaurant was great and very reasonable for the level of quality and service. Downtown is less than a 10 min walk with several great dining options. The heated bathroom floors were nice add in. It was very clean, quite….overall I give it a 10 of 10.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Don't hesitate, book it! - If you ever have the opportunity to stay at Diamond Mills, definitely do so! All the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant, Blackbarn, was outstanding! My husband and I have already discussed another getaway to Diamond Mills.
- Edward (10/5): - Beautiful hotel! Large rooms excellently appointed, and the bathroom even has heated floors. Gorgeous view off the balcony of the falls, and the town is such a gem - great restaurants and local artisans.
- Subhas (8/5): - NA
- Marybeth (10/5): - Mariah at check in was very friendly and helpful
- Michael (8/5): Very nice boutique hotel - My wife and I recently stayed here and very much enjoyed the accommodations. The building is on the location of a former factory and is very impressive both inside and out. All of the rooms have views of the Esopus creek behind the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the heated floors in the bathroom was a nice bonus. The rooms and common areas were very clean and nicely decorated. The only issue that we had was that the room got warm overnight and I couldn't get the heat to lower. Would definitely return especially when the spa opens next week so my wife can enjoy it.
- Maryellen (10/5): - This hotel is amazing! The view of the falls from our room was spectacular. An easy walk into the town. The room was immaculate! Breakfast was good. Will
definitely return.There are
many choices for dinner/drinks.
Great town to visit!
- bruce w (10/5): A great stay! - Our only regret is that we were only in town for 1 day! The hotel is quiet and very comfortable (heated floor in bathroom) and the bar and restaurant were both excellent. We took a walk into town and found some very nice local shops as well. This was a great stay!
- Mariana (10/5): Great place to stay - Staff was friendly. Mary at front desk was very pleasant. Room well kept and comfortable.
- Eerik (10/5): Diamond in the rough - This hotel was amazing. Very modern and clean in an interesting environment. The water fall and bridge were picturesque. The staff was friendly and the restaurant (Black Barn) had great food. Our stay was wonderful and we can’t wait to come back!!!

- Madhumita (10/5): - Wonderful experience
