Guest Reviews
- Cynthia (10/5): - We were in town for a dance competition, the location was 5 minutes away, which was great. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, the beds were comfortable also. If we're in the area again, we would definitely stay here.
- Elise (7/5): We had a pleasant stay. - It was in close proximity to our conference. The owner was very accommodating.
They had Directv. The building was dated.
- Bonni (7/5): - It had basic comforts A distance from where we attended an event
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): - The whole atmosphere for a night's stay while in town for a Bills game
- Dawn (10/5): - The guy that checks you in is amazing very polite loves to joke makes it where u want to come back over and over it became one of our favorite places it's an older hotel but always clean
- Spencer (5/5): -
- FNU (10/5): Quiet and comfortable. - The guy that checked me in was so friendly. He even gave suggestions for a local restaurant (Nicolo's) which is super close by (it's really good!). The rooms aren't anything fancy but the beds are super comfortable. No elevator and make sure you park in the front since side parking is for long-term guests. Honestly, this was a great place to stay. I can't actually think of any reason why I wouldn't stay here again. Definitely recommend!
- CHRISTIAN (7/5): Quaint, rustic, small town place to lay your head. - Extremely friendly staff. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The beds could use an upgrade.
- John (6/5): -
- Robert (5/5): Underwhelming - No Breakfast Old and run down
- Alan (10/5): - Location was excellent. Within minutes of of where we needed to go. Staff was great as always. Will be staying there again in the future.
- HEATHER (10/5): -
- Alissa (9/5): Perfect location-Don’t judge a book by its cover great stay! - Great location for me to be around family. There are no hotels in the area, I typically have to go to Warsaw for a hotel and I hate the drive.
My son loved this hotel and wanted me to say don’t just a book by its cover. The bathroom needs to be updated and a little cleaner would be nice. But over all it was great for our needs.
- Jonathan (10/5): Clean and quiet. No frills, but didn't need them! - Very friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet. Very reasonable rate. Needed a special accommodation and they were happy to help! Nothing. I was completely satisfied.
- matias (8/5): Buen precio para una noche de paso - Comodo para pasar la noche, personal muy amable Alho antiguos los colchones y sabanas
- Annette (4/5): - Coffee was good Bathroom was a disappointment
- Piotr (8/5): - Very good stay, value vs. price as expected. Staff very helpful. Very good breakfast nearby :). There is a feeling the time has passed. Rooms may be renovated - bathroom mostly. It was clean but would be renovated.
- Yasmin (8/5): -
- Manchester (10/5): -
- Anat (10/5): -
- James (5/5): Interesting! - Price and location and greeter - even if he wears pajama bottoms! A quaint, rustic, bit bizarre place that could use a major overhaul. Everything works but everything squeaks -- floors, steps, mattresses, faucets.
- Gillian (6/5): you get what you pay for, comfortable enough for a night and the check-in guy was very friendly. - I don't drink coffee so I can't comment on that. Everything in the lodge was worn but acceptable, especially for the price. I needed a last minute room and this was the cheapest one, which actually I'm very grateful it was available and affordable. I didn't realize the Bills were playing nearby, (couldn't give a lick about football) and is why other rooms were $250/300 per night which shocked me. The guy working was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's always nerve wracking to be a woman alone in these situations (I checked in around 9pm) but he never made me uncomfortable at all. the whole place smelled weird. like a mix of stale cigarettes and dust, but it wasn't super strong so I got used to it quickly. The bathroom was very dated, like an old school 80's bath fitter type tub that showed its age. I'm pretty neurotic about bathroom germs so I would not have showered here. I would not have wanted an extended stay at this lodge for that reason.
- Kelvin (2/5): - Cleanliness
- Susan (8/5): - Heat in room was great, bed soft. Bathroom could use some work.
- Julie (1/5): Would pay more for a better place to stay - Beds were uncomfortable ,no air conditioner.tv didn't work and the owner had to come up and fix it and then there was nothing on anyway cuz it only had like three or four channels
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly.
- Richard (8/5): - Older property; nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Joseph (6/5): -
- Angel (5/5): - Beds were right against the wall so person next to the wall had to wake the person next to them up so they could get out of bed.
- Jillian (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great service and convenient location and price.
- Timothy (8/5): Arcade & Attica Train ride - Good price for the area. Older but definitely clean. Boss people would love me happy but that's all we need is a clean room running water and spacious clean bed. The bed is an older mattress so not a lot of support. Doesn't serve breakfast but does serve coffee we knew that coming in.
- Jakub (8/5): - Very nice owner, we really liked the accommodation. The owner has a very nice motel, in such a retro style, that's why we liked it. More could be invested in repairs.
- Shahriyar (7/5): Getter than expected - Affordability, hospitality, fridgeµwave -bathroom can be cleaner
-more towels needed
-smells very old
- Joe (10/5): A good value for the price. - The older reviews are accurate. The man who runs the place is a really nice guy. The place is clean and a value for the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): It needed a really good cleaning - The bedding appeared to be clean but the bathroom was filthy the floors were dirty and had hair on them. They needed to be swept and mopped. Half the lights and fan didn't work in the bathroom. The smoke detector was missing. The floors were sticky and needed mopped and i pulled out the bedside stand to get to the plug and there was dirt and dead bugs behind it. The manager was a super nice guy thats the only good thing i can say.
- Andrzej (8/5): - Very friendly staff, clean room, good coffee.
- tom (7/5): Could be amazing needs some money spending - The gentleman who was working the front desk was really friendly and had some great recommendations for things for us to do or where to eat , the hotel is in a quaint fairly quiet location albeit the road was a little noisy, the room was a good size and the bed really comfy , the TV was well tuned and had a lot of channels and the WiFi totally acceptable for the area. Now the bad , unfortunately the room was dated and in a state of disrepair I'm really not one to moan I've stayed in 100s of motels/hotels across most states in the USA and I know it's a difficult business but this place would be amazing if it just had a little time and money spent on it , the toilet cistern was cracked and broken the bathroom light switch taped over , the shower didn't drain away , the pillows were yellow and the wood in the bathroom mouldy
- kelly (10/5): - This is a nice quiet motel in a very small community.
The owner went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. Offered suggestions for dining, offered to help with luggage, and ensured we were comfortable.
The rooms are very dated, but the friendliness and kindness of the owner more than makes up for it!
AC was cold, fridge was great to have, and the bed and pillows were absolutely perfect!
Keurig coffee in the lobby with fresh creamer was always available, which was a wonderful amenity!
Just a short 30 minute drive to Letchworth State Park (Grand Canyon of the East) is a must do!
Kudos to the owner, he is a real gem!!
- marcye (2/5): Disappointed - Coffee was good near where I had to go It smells of smoke everywhere snd do not smoke signs are all over.bathroom knob was loose had to open from the outside. Did not stay second day.
- wolniewicz (8/5): Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the facility. - While the decor is a bit dated, the rooms were very clean and the people were very pleasant. The room was also quite spacious. The mattress on one of the beds in my room was too firm. It also would have been nice to have some additional pillows in the room.
- Sherry (6/5): - There are very few hotel/motels in the area. The room was fine and the location okay, but there could have been a few things done to up-keep the property: the grass around the facility sign was overgrown and the property just had a bit of "unkemptness" to it...
- Clementine (1/5): Awful - Nothing except the receptionist who was nice. The room was extremely smelly (moisture and dampness) and dirty (hair everywhere in the bathroom and on the carpet, dusty, spots). The curtain railing was broken. The beds were smelly and super old with holes in center. They did not accept Visa from abroad do we had to find an ATM and pay in Cash. The owner was rude.
- Lynda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Daniel (10/5): - Nothing fancy, but a nice, clean affordable place to stay. I highly recommend and I hope to be back!
- Wurtz (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (1/5): Disastrous - Nothing. Filthily, direst place I have ever lodged at. Order- musty smell, door and walls marred, cob-webs under sink in bathroom, and hanging all over the room. Did not feel safe with lock on door or in motel. Sheets had spots and holes in them. Furniture was old mis-matched like came from someone garbage. Disgusting. Unable to locate another place because we were late getting to location. Misleading advertising- online pictures of room and ratings were deceptive. If I could give a lower review number it would be in the negative. Covered the pillow with a piece of clothing as to not to lay my head on the pillow case. Bathroom was dirty, rusty stains in tub and toilet, Awful experience. This facility needs to be inspected by the health department. Fire safety is questionable, as well.
- Taylor (8/5): - Nice clean and friendly Inn
- Pam (6/5): - It was an ok place to sleep for the night. Bed was a little uncomfortable, pillows too hard for me.
- Michael (6/5): - The room smelled of smoke and the mattresses were uncomfortable.
- Pankaj (8/5): Very good - Very hospitable host, location close to Letchworth State Park Old property - but no complaints
- Amanda (10/5): Great for the cost - It’s not the ritz but was clean and worked for what we needed, staff was nice and helpfull
- Chris (10/5): - Friendly service
- John (10/5): A great value beyond the price - The place was very homey and comfortable
Free coffee welcoming staff and affordably priced No complaints
- YUKO (10/5): - Clean, safe, quite, and good price. Super nice manager! Highly recommend!
- Anthony (10/5): - The check-in was very good & I was welcomed with a coffee.
- Ralph (8/5): Very good -
- Jen (10/5): - The owner was very friendly. The room was very well kept and has a quaint atmosphere. We would definitely book there again
- Denean (10/5): Quiet and cozy - Staff Nothing
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- crista (6/5): - The guy at front desk very nice man...the bed was comfy...air and heat worked great...the shower leaked n dripped all night...the toilet didnt work the next morning...kinda run down...overall i would stay again...
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Jan (8/5): Very good - Everything, location, staff, cleanliness, price Too hot in the room
- Christine (4/5): Good ole 70s - The owner was friendly...accomodating ..helped me clear snow off my jeep. For being so rurual they did have a italian restauarnt across the street. It was run down looking...no peep hole in door to see hallway. The first day I got in there i was greeted with the smell of weed. For the most part its was clean.I could also smell cigarrets. The furniture and bed fittings ans bathtub were all like from the 60s.I would had also liked my own coffee pot in the room.
- Tracy (3/5): A budget hotel that needs improvements in quality of linens. - Convenience to where we were headed. The room had an interior entrance from a hallway. The doors had two locks (a deadbolt and the door lock) so the room felt safe. The wall decorations were very nostalgic. The 32” TV and cable TV were excellent (albeit TV felt a bit small for the room size). So many channels. The bedding material. Both my son and I slept in our clothes. The quilts covering the beds were old school, very unique and added charm, but were dirty with numerous stains. The sheets on one bed were grey (top and bottom) and were filled with bumps (pilly) like they had been washed 1000 times. This might seem like a good thing as they were likely washed, but it just made them seem old and unclean. Hard to tell if they were clean or not but they were so bumpy and you just did not want them next to your skin. The other bed was worse with a chocolate brown bottom fitted bumpy bottom sheet and a sort of white see through bumpy top sheet/thin/thin cover. The next blanket was like a velour. The covers just didn’t feel right and thus I could not bring myself to sleep under the covers. The bath towel looked nice (pink with big stripes) , but you could not slide it on your back to dry off. Not sure what material it was but not cotton. The hand towels and wash clothes were 4 different colors, but at least were cotton. Unusual.
- Scott (8/5): Friendly Place Near Winter Sports - The Chaffee Lodge was a good location south of Buffalo to enjoy winter sports at a reasonable price. The host, Scott, was very friendly and gave us tips on good places to eat and what to visit in the area.
- James (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and the staff. - Staff was very friendly. It’s conveniently located close to some great restaurants and stores. Cigarette smoke smell, wasn’t overwhelming but still there. Mattress on our bed could have been a little firmer. Bathrooms could use a little updating.
- Edward (10/5): - Clean room, owner answered the phone, manager greeted me on arrival. Simple, comfortable lodging at a great price. Would stay here again.
- DANNY (6/5): - Hotel need renovations, but it is good for rate 3

- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Great stay in WNY - We enjoyed the convenience of the lodge as well as the suggestion by the owner of Mel’s Place
The room was everything we needed and a great price Personally, I’d prefer better toilet paper
- Larry (7/5): Good -
- Krishna (10/5): Exceptional - Decent place to stay. It’s a budget hotel and very affordable. I have never met such a friendly hotel owner before. He was very kind, friendly and helpful and made us feel comfortable. Room was clean but a bit dated but definitely worth the money. The owner recommended couple of restaurants which are really great.
- Benjamin (10/5): Good - The Manager was very accommodating for what I was looking for (1 night stay). He was also helpful with recommendations in the area.
Had a very comfortable king size bed and normal room features. On my short stay, the bathroom is the only thing that needs updating.
-can't lock it from the inside
-shower took some time to manage (pretty old)
It's definitely more of a lodge than a Motel, but had the comforts necessary for the wife & I. I just think I could have have spent less.

- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -

- Gregg (9/5): Superb -
- Wells (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (10/5): - Not many lodging options in this area but this is a clean, well run lodge that is very quaint
- Bonnie (10/5): Our type of lodge for sure! - Loved the fact that it was centrally located , small, quaint and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend. We stayed for 8 days while we went house hunting. Told my husband I'm going to miss our little home away from home . There's a fridge and microwave, we set up our coffeemaker, there was a table and chairs..perfect Not a thing..sorry that's all I got
- Pragati (5/5): Overall, old but as clean as it can be to spend a night in a crunch. - Gentlemen at the front desk was friendly and courteous. Raggedy bedding and furniture. Different colored towels seems quite old.
- Trista (10/5): - Perfect stop to spend the night....He also suggested Mel's Place for breakfast....A must stop for sure. Will stay again!
- Loretta (8/5): Very good -
- Vanessa (1/5): We stayed for approximately 5 minutes and left. Horrid. - I didn’t like anything. It smelled like something was rotting in our room. Everything was filthy. Cigarette burns in sheets. We left after 3 minutes of being there and found a different place to stay. Lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. Room reeked of foot odor (sour, bacteria, rot smell). Cigarette burns on comforter. We stayed for 5 minutes before dropping the key back at the front desk. It was not clean and smelled truly foul.
- Mariya (8/5): Very good - Great place to stay for the value. Best host ever, very thoughtful and caring.
- catherine (6/5): - We ended up not staying there. Our friends wanted us to stay with them, so we just grabbed our bags and left.
- Renat (8/5): Great place to stay during a road trip or when exploring this area - A very nice, slightly aged hotel. A very friendly owner, and very helpful. The rooms was big and comfortable.
- Derek (2/5): - Stunk of dope
- Yidan (8/5): - Safety and convenient
