From the front desk, restaurant team, the chef, QC Mgr(Addis) and Salem( she offered me the special tea to take care of my flu.) That was great. And the breakfast was really good, simple and tasty. The air-conditioning unit was not functioning at optimal. Though quick intervention to resolve issue was good

• Eugene (4/5): Not Executive Accommodation, Marriott is sweating its asset and overcharging for poor standard - The staff were very friendly and polite POOL - We booked the hotel because it had a pool as we are both avid swimmers. When we arrived, we were told that the pool was temporarily out of service although this was later discovered to be an absolute lie as the new bar build on top of the pool area can only be considered a semi or full permanent fixture with its unique plumbing, electrics, fixed furniture, decoration & a fully structural floor with solid timber floor planks. RATING - We were also extremely disappointed with the standard of the fit out in the hotel, particularly the apartment. The electrics, loose furniture, kitchen, electrics, bathroom, carpets, all seem to be at least 25 years old and have either reached or about to approach the point of failure or exceeded the typical limits of maximum asset-sweating. Some of the spotlights in the ceiling were blinking / flashing to the point where they are darker around the fitting itself, we left the lights on so the cleaners would notice them flickering and automatically get maintenance to fix. The cleaners didn't proactively act so I called for the maintenance guy myself who in fairness did come within an hour. The bed in particular was long past life cycle with the linen / base being higher at the feet end instead of being level. The building is absolutely filthy on the outside which bears zero similarity to the photos online, the white cladding is filthy grey, the glass canopy looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years and the entire glass handrail to the front of the hotel looks like it was put together with remnants from a scrapyard whereby they are all ill-fitting and not even fixed as level. When we checked in, we went up in the main elevator and later tried to go down in same but not working and no notices. We ended up going down the service lift. It even seemed like only one of the guest lifts was working. WiFi & POWER - The WiFi was poor, and the power went off several times over the days we were there.

The window shattered open when we tried to open it causing injuries and cuts and all we got was an apology from the hotel & an offer for a free meal and a massage. It was handled poorly

• Evan (6/5): Dated.. - The hotel looks a lot newer and more modern in the pictures that it actually is. In fact the rooms are outdated and in need of a refurbishing. Breakfast was not that great but I am yet to find a good breakfast in Addis Ababa.
• Pisky (7/5): A very well furnished, spacious and comfortable apartment stay in the center of the city. - The facilities and apartment were luxurious, clean and well furnished. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The food and service was very good. The driver/attendant in the lobby was so kind as to walk me to my office building on the first day so that I could feel more comfortable and know the path. The noise outside was a major factor and I had to check out a few days early. There was a national festival taking place across the street in the park, along with loud-speaker chants/prayers/singing from 7am until 10am everyday. Guests should have been informed especially since we are there for work reasons and sleep/rest is essential. Additionally, I would suggest that the airport pick up service be on time. I waited at least 45 min upon landing from a long journey, despite having given my flight details (which should have been tracked). Also, on arrival at the hotel early morning, I had to wait another 6 hours to get my actual room. I had already agreed to pay extra for early check and and so my room should have been ready. This should be fixed because business travelers have only a few hours/a day to rest after long journeys.

• Mohamad (7/5): Reconsider the Price or Make an improvement - Spacious Suite, the view is great facing the Park, Gym and Spa are nice the Sofa in the Suite was very used and not comfortable; i was expecting the food to be a better experience however the chef and staff are very nice and they tried to do their best. The Train can be disrubtive but only for a short moment the internet went off for a full night however when i asked for a backup, the staff gave me an external wifi device to facilitate and get connected for work the interier design of the suite can be more modern with a twist in furniture to enjoy more the stay

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Before I reached had requested the hotel to arrange pick up. Which they immediately did and replied. My partner was arriving from a different location and different time, and I requested another pick up. They asked me all sorts of questions if we are going to share the room while the room was booked for two, whether we are the same gender or no, I had to exchange several emails with until the pick up was arranged. The sofa and the pillows in the living room were dirty it needs cleaning, There was no hairdryer and after I requested for one they brought it after two hours. One day before check out I received a breakdown of expenses requesting me to settle the bill as soon as possible as if I was going to escape. Then I received a call from the lobby asking how my stay, then I expressed my disappointment. They immediately arrived to my room asking how they can help to correct things. They apologized and they said that they will improve. Our room was junior suite 508.

Dusting is not done consistently I could see that house keeper just made the bed. Secondly, it was evident that the toilet and the shower were not being cleaned. The shower wasn’t warm enough and very low pressure

The hotel fit and finish feels cheap. location was very good. there is a lot of construction around the hotel. and a lot noise around the hotel. if you are late sleeper you will have a hard time sleeping.

Staff was great from the time you arrive, through security, front desk, and room service. Restaurant staff is very friendly, but sometimes needed a little nudge on the service, but overall the food was good and the staff accommodating.
• H.R. (4/5): Not using their potential - bad food - The hotel overall is very okay to even good. However, you se first signs that they start not to take carte very much. The kitchen we had was not properly cleaned and all items very full of crumbs or the microwave was full of stinky liquid and so it is starts make not sense to use this place, if other peoples remaining are still available. But maybe there was a fast turnover? Who knows. What was disappointing that the food in the restaurant ( incl. Breakfast) was really low quality and they are not able to apply simple good cooking. Nowadays here are so many things on the market, who are just deficiencies and just a minimum of training has to be invested in cooking to create simple eatable dishes. I really do not understand such service. Bread can be baken simple and deliciously every morning instead your getting dry , un-tasty varieties of bread , over-suggared cakes etc. I think food around the other packages is very important and makes a stay a good or bad memory. No real children channels on TV. and many many other things we could list.
