Guest Reviews
- Clemens (7/5): -
- Alexandra (10/5): My stay here was lovely - I’d highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was great too! - Great location, close to faversham town but still in the quiet countryside Thin walls if you have noisy neighbours!
- brianpB1230OS (10/5): A great hotel in Kent. - We stayed for four nights. This is one of many hotels that we have stayed at , but this place was outstanding. Great room, superb staff , and really good breakfast and evening meals. As a bonus there are a number of good countryside strolls straight out of the hotel grounds.
- Hayley (8/5): - The staff, particularly Vicki, were brilliant. The shower
- Grahame (2/5): Thankfully the stay was for only 1 night - Location was ok The doors one had to go through to get to your room, the size of the room, no bath, shower doors did not close properly so floor got wet, an uncomfortable bed, high mirror in the bathroom, limited formal parking areas.
- Grant (8/5): Quirky and quaint - We had one of the bigger rooms in Yew Cottage at the back of the hotel. It was large, well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful parkland and ideally situated for onward travel to Canterbury. Parts of the hotel (mainly around the side were a bit shabby and rundown; though you only see it as you walk past. It was very quiet - only 3 couples in the dining room on a Friday night - and occupied entirely by older folk (like us!) which might not suit younger people.
- Z5706IEsophieh (10/5): Perfect Wedding! - We recently celebrated our wedding at Judd's folly!
We looked at lots of different venues but Judd's folly stood out from the others because of the attention to detail and the service received. I genuinely don't think we could have had what we had anywhere else because nowhere else has Carlie! Nothing was too much trouble on the day or in the build up to it.
So many guests commented on how nice the venue was - especially the food!
Thanks so much for having us and we look forward to celebrating our anniversaries with you

- david (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Good - Dinner and breakfast. and the lovely grounds.
- Jim (8/5): Very good for a short stay, menu would be limited for a longer stay, overall happy with the hotel. - Freshly cooked breakfast was very good. Bar range is quite limited, but there is a few.
- Muhammad (7/5): -
- Jemma (6/5): Ideal for a short stay - Its location, it was close to the venue that we had a party at so was only 5 mins drive away which was perfect The cleanliness of the room could have been much better, finding hairs in the draws and bathroom isn’t the nicest.
- Davwat51 (10/5): Stay or go for a meal - My Rotary club held their Presidents Ball there. The function room was decorated beautifully and the meal was excellent. A number of us stayed over and enjoyed a buffet style breakfast in the relaxed dining area. The atmosphere in the hotel is warm and friendly, with all the staff being helpful, attentive but also professional.
- kelly-marie (5/5): -
- Elle (8/5): Thank you had a lovely time - The hotel grounds were lovely The bar closes very early
- TRACEY (8/5): -
- Abi (10/5): Relaxing - Lovely room and grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful as ever.
- RFS29 (10/5): Simply the best - We arranged our annual Rotary Clubs Presidents Ball at Judds Folly. From our initial contact right to the final whistle Carlie and her team were amazing. We had 50 people attending with a multi choice menu which covered nearly all bases. For those that had dietary requirements they were happily accommodated.
The dining area and ballroom were decorated to perfection. The food was excellent; I had the cod which was presented perfectly.
Some of us stayed overnight (we have done so a couple of times in the past). Our room was excellent and a small treat bag was left for our two Pomeranians.
Breakfast was self service and the choice from continental to cereals and full English was fresh a regularly replenished.
Overall a fantastic experience and one we are planning again.
I need to add that we had a few things not go to plan from our side. Not only did Carlie do her utmost to help she regularly put our minds at ease and made us feel special.
A wonderful hotel (Faversham’s best kept secret). Wonderful location and beautiful surroundings.
Thank you.
- FarAway11401094484 (10/5): Excellent service - Excellent service from everyone at Judds Folly Hotel. They organised a Celebration of Life event very effectively: the food, drink, responsiveness and service were all first class. Highly recommended.
- Roger (8/5): -
- Andrij (8/5): - Quiet Resturant closing at 8pm
- Ryanna (9/5): Relaxed, chilled, country Easter break. - Loved the idyllic country location. Easy to find and beautiful grounds to walk my dogs around. The WiFi didn’t work in our cottage room.
- Donna (9/5): Lovely and relaxing - Location
- Jennifer (7/5): -
- Frank (8/5): Lovely Hotel , sort out the food - The room was fantastic . The staff were great. The meal I had there on the night was not very good. The common steak was undercooked and the chips were overcooked.
- MartinCuxton (8/5): - Beautiful location and lovely hotel. Friendy staff willing to help. Food very good. Shower pressure was very poor but we were in one of the cottages on site so the hotel may be better.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- juliaeR5389ZH (6/5): Not the best - A nice room with good furniture but no soap a poo in the toilet and no heating very cold
- Debbie (10/5): Lovely stay - The hotel was in a good location very quiet , very comfortable beds lovely room The only thing was the shower tray was VERY slippery no anti slip on there and I slipped hurting my foot
- Kevin (5/5): clean and comfortable, good for tradies. - Good position with basic requirements and services. Room on the small size housekeeping minimal, waste bins not emptied each day and bath mat on floor not moved from floor. coffee /tea facilities only refreshed from reception Chalet room at back and away from main building a little isolated. Access from gravel drive not in best condition. vans parked on grass verge.
- Carol (10/5): -
- Philip (10/5): Absolutely loved it will be back - Room was good with good quality furnishings and very large bed and good shower room with a very large shower head.Food here is amazing and some of the best food I’ve had in ages. Some of the outsides of hotel could do with a refresh.
- laurajayner2026 (10/5): 10th March 2026 - We had our whole wedding day at Judds Folly hotel, Carlie was absolutely amazing! She was with us right through the whole process and on the day of the wedding which was held in Yew Tree Cottage. So much detail went into our day and both Yew Tree cottage and the Banquet Hall were decorated beautifully! We chose the most amazing venue💙
- Flyer24984187640 (10/5): September wedding - Me and my husband got married at judds foley in September 2025. From start to finish the had the most amazing experience. Our wedding planner Carlie was amazing! From start to finish she made us feel completely at ease and we knew she had everything under control. From initial planning, to finalising decor and meals to the wedding day itself she was there every step of the way offering expert advice and support.
She was very responsive to all communication. The wedding itself was amazing , ever commented on how smoothly the day went. Carly ran the day perfectly and kept everything moving so nothing ever felt rushed or to drawn out. We had the most perfect day with our friend and family ♥️♥️♥️
- denise (6/5): Breakfast was good but bed not comfortable - Location and plenty of private car parking The mattress was worn out and the pillows rock hard. When we walked into the room the bottom end of the mattress was up in the air off the bed base and you could see big dents in the mattress
- garry (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): We would definitely stay there again. Lovely for a short break - Clean.
Lovely grounds. Friendly staff. Great breakfast No EV chargers
- Clive (9/5): - It suited our needs room was clean and tidy and the food was good The coffee
- Farndon (10/5): - Big spacious rooms. No comments
- Kevin (2/5): -
- Ritchie (6/5): NO! - staff we're great terrible bed. had no sleep. bathroom was terrible. shower didn't work. bath was full of limescale.
I can't stress how bad the bed was. it was shocking.
- Lisa (2/5): - Location good. Bed comfortable Did not get the superior room paid for, was given an apparent upgrade which was dirty, bad state of repair and generally unacceptable. Was then offered a standard double room, which at least was cleaner. Would have liked to speak to the manager, but unfortunately she didn't take the time to speak to us.
- Sue (10/5): lovely gem of a hotel - definitely recommended - Large, well decorated room and bathroom which was subtly disability friendly along with an enormous and extremely comfortable bed. The radiator was effective and warmed the room nicely. Super reception staff made us feel at home.
Really pleased that our door led straight out onto the grounds and we were in a quiet corner which enabled me to take the dog out for a 4am wee without disturbing anyone. The grounds are lovely with snowdrops and daffodils in abundance. took payment for dog twice!
- Larry (8/5): -
- Alan (10/5): -
- Martin (8/5): Good value for money - The room was very comfortable and warm Having to walk on grass and small stones in the dark
- Christine (8/5): Lovely place, great setting, friendly staff - Great value, very clean The heating was not easy or intuitive to work out - some instructions would be helpful
- Steveeveo (4/5): Hotel tried and living on passed glories - Our first room was poor to say the lest. Mould on the ceiling in bath room and dirty. worst nights sleep every had at a hotel. Bed was terrible and noise from other rooms next very loud, the toilet actually tipped over on sitting.
We asked to be move and the second room wasn't much better, dirty and looked like the hotel maintained man had left things half done , two copper pipes sticking out from wall about 12 inch under the make up / dressing table /hair mirror that bruised the wife's leg. Breakfast over priced and would expect a bit more than half a slice of black pudding .get better at weatherspoons.
- DENISE (9/5): I would return to this hotel. - The room was small but very comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. I came a little late to the breakfast room however, the staff still accommodated me with a very nice, large breakfast. Nothing.
- Karen (8/5): Good place for short stop over. - Great location for a stopover. Very peaceful. Helpful staff. lovely breakfast. Nothing. It was all fine.
- tony (10/5): - Everything Ended to soon
- Joyce (10/5): - Zeer gezellige kamers en vriendelijke bediening. Uitgang rechtstreeks op drukke baan.
- philip (5/5): -
- StuPoo (10/5): -
- Munday (10/5): Great hotel and staff - We upgraded to a room with a bath lovely room, very peaceful
- Donovan (10/5): - Very friendly staff and food was delicious 😋
- Nick (8/5): -
- trina (10/5): ill be back thank you - staff ,food and room all fantastic ! nothing
- Angela (10/5): -
- Pamela (10/5): Extremely enjoyable - it proved to be one of the best small hotels we have stayed in. - Breakfast was excellent. Fresh coffee and a wide choice of dishes cooked on the spot. The scrambled eggs and salmon on toast could not have been improved anywhere. The dinner menu was wide and the one time we tried it the food was excellent. It is also a good idea to offer sandwiches in the bar until 8pm and the ones we had on one occasion had lovely fresh bread and copious fillings. My room, 23, though small, was immaculately clean and had everything needed including a very good shower. I could not get Sky News on my television (usually 233) or Drama +1 (60). I did try other numbers but was never successful. It was quite a complicated remote control so it was probably something I was doing wrong.
- Stephen (9/5): Perfect base for touring the North Kent area. Idyllic location close to Faversham - Lovely rural location yet only five minutes drive from Faversham. Room was clean and comfortable, in one of the chalets.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. The flow from the hot water tap was weak. (Cold water was fine)
- Evie (2/5): not worth £130 - bed was comfy room was extremely dirty - dirt in shower tray, on window sills, mirror dirty
had to run hot tap while using the shower??
No full length mirror
paid breakfast and poor quality food, had gristle in a sausage and bacon was tough
staff were nice however very scatty
- Tony (3/5): -
- johnbD4823XA (10/5): Outstanding stay - Brilliant. Couldn’t fault anything. Staff, room and food outstanding.
Cleanliness of room was excellent, food couldn’t be faulted . The staff were friendly helpful and lovely to chat to about the local area. Most helpful. Will definitely be booking another stay very soon. Thank you.
- Russell (9/5): - Everything Nothing
- Julia (9/5): I was very comfortable there on the whole, just a bit chilly in the night. I wore bed socks to help - Room was very nice with my own front door from outside. I got cold at night - but it was very cold outside, frosty. Could have done with a blanket.
- Walter (6/5): Very cold and smelly room - Location was good The room was freezing and we significantly changed at cost our room choice and I feel we wiuld have had the same room at half the cost.
- Karen (8/5): Super place to stopover - a little luxury on our journey. - Super breakfast. Great place to bring dog - grounds and catered for in the bar area. Loved the goodie bag for the dog - thank you. Meals lovely. The bathroom bin was missing, but otherwise the room was great. On arrival the room was very cold but it heated up quickly.
- Tear (7/5): -
- GuyBriggs (6/5): It was a good overnight stay hotel - The room was large and bed very comfortable the shower was fantastic Food was expensive for what it was very disappointing scrambled eggs watery with no taste at all
- Jones (9/5): - The food was exceptional. The room very clean and comfortable. We had room 53, a large suite. The room was fabulous and clean, but unfortunately, the people who where up stairs had no respect. The rooms floors crike (oldish building) and they where up and down constantly throughout the night, bagging, toilet flushing and what souned like windows constantly opening closing. The water system in the rooms was also poor. You can here everything and when having a shower, the water keeps going cold. It's like we where in the same room at points.
- Bianca (10/5): Our stay here was brilliant!! We loved it! - ⸻
We had such a lovely stay here and honestly couldn’t fault it. Jason, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Becky was absolutely wonderful with my son Percy. He actually said she had “calm energy,” which really meant a lot to me — he’s very intuitive and felt completely at ease with her.
The breakfast was delicious and such great value for the price. They kindly catered for Percy’s vegetarian option, and the salmon was incredible. Our room was immaculate, with great WiFi, a gorgeous soft bed, and everything felt really comfortable and well looked after.
Jason was so kind and even allowed us to stay until 12:30 without any extra charge, which made such a difference. As someone who isn’t used to staying in more high-end places, I felt genuinely happy, relaxed, and very welcome here.
A truly lovely place thank you so much
Bianca and Percy Absolutely nothing!! We want to live here
- ellis (10/5): Great for an overnight stay - Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, good value Nothing much
- Alan (10/5): amazing place to stay stay again any day - The property was spotless. Need clean and the bed was so comfortable. Amazing I’d stay again any day. nothing
- Jason (8/5): Great place and people, average food. - Great room options, fantastic staff. Very average food.
- Rosie (10/5): everything was awesome - as i usually live in a van this was absolute luxury and having a bath was the cherry on top. nothing
- Sonia (10/5): perfect - very pleased with all service and staff superb location
- Rae (10/5): -
- Matt (8/5): Overall value for money is great, they just need to improve the noise/soundproofing. - I booked a suite as I required the most space possible, and although the room looked big in the photos when I arrived it was even bigger than I had an expected. The downside to the room/suite I was in, was it’s a cottage converted into 4 suites (I believe) and there is a lack of soundproofing, so when the guests in the room above arrived back I could hear them moving around due to creaking floorboards, and they had a good night as the bed also makes a lot of noise as they had sex……
- Hamdiya (10/5): - Everything NA
- Catherine (10/5): Accommodated me at short notice.beautifullyappointed room - Warm and comfortable No lights or path to back area where I was situated

- Rosebanks (8/5): We enjoyed a pleasant and comfortable stay with friendly obliging staff. - The hotel is within attractive grounds down a long driveway. We paid for an upgrade for a bigger room and also wanted to be in an outside room rather than upstairs in the hotel itself. The entrance to the hotel could be more lit up at night as it's quite a dangerous sharp turning from the main road and easily missed. The atmosphere in the restaurant could be improved with candles or flowers on the tables as it's rather dark and bleak - especially when it's not busy.
- amywU3270BY (10/5): The best wedding day! - We had our wedding at Judds Folly on Friday, and it truly was an unforgettable day! From the very beginning, Carlie was amazing—nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day itself, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even when we experienced a power cut just two hours before the ceremony, I never felt stressed because everything was handled so smoothly. We ended up getting married by candlelight, which turned out to be perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the evening celebration was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to Carlie and the entire team at Judds Folly for making our day so special. Amy and Josh ☺️
- Ei Ei (9/5): -
- JK (8/5): Excellent price for a very good location. Would definitely stay again. - If you can find a better room than this for cheaper? I would like to see it. Has everything you need on site - bar, restaurant, free parking, internet etc As well as a number of different room options to suit your needs. A wedding was taking place at the same time, so the staff went above and beyond to keep us looked after without impacting the celebrations going on next door. Some of the food ordered was under cooked. I will give the chef the benefit of the doubt though. The kitchen was closed when we sat down and they kept it open for us (and had likely been on the go catering all day due to the wedding)
I was told by reception I could park right outside my chalet, but when I did so, once of the permanent residents next door had a whinge stating "An ambulance might need to park there" (What?) Likely miscommunication but worth reception mentioning it.

- E526QUsamanthae (10/5): The most amazing wedding, at an incredibly stunning location. - We recently got married at Judds Folly Hotel & i cannot recommend this place enough!
Everyone went above & beyond for our special day & it honestly couldnt have gone better! From the 1st meeting to checking out Carlie made sure everything was amazing!
Everything for us was absolutely perfect, from the decorations, the help we recieved, the staff, all our rooms ( we had quite a few ) & the food. Everything & everyone was incredible & I honestly cant thank them enough for the most perfect day. ❤️
Highly Recommend!!!!!!
- Eric (7/5): -
- Fox (8/5): - Staff are all amazing, friendly helpful can't fault any of them.
Grounds are clean and well maintained.
All food was great dinner and breakfast Room had some dusty parts (around radiator and a big spider web hanging off the light)
Loo flushing pressure not too great and got blocked
Shower doors didn't fully close so floor got a bit wet
- LisaH509 (8/5): Fabulous wedding day. - We had our wedding day here and our guests loved the location saying how the outside spaces were beautiful. Carlie ran the day like clockwork and we had an amazing day. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the whole team were friendly and helpful. Good choice of breakfast items. Highly recommended.
