- Lestari (9/5): Perfect staycation. - The surrounding vibe, the environment, its calmness, the facility. The location has the perfect vibe for staycation. Perfect for healing time! This hotel fits for family staycation or staying with friends. The breakfast. Nothing special and plain taste.

- ufairanida (10/5): One of the best, beautiful & nice Resort to stay at Garut - Definisi healing sesungguhnya!
It's been a month since we stay there, but the memories still unforgetable.
Highy recommended for holiday with couple, family, or company gathering.
The facility are complete enough. Meeting room, Mosq, Restaurant, Playground, Swimming Pool, Spa.
The highlight of this resort is the beautiful lake.
We can ride a boat surround the lake. Free!
Definitely will go back here!
- Meita (8/5): A nice place to get relax and get away from routine activities. - Beautiful morning and evening view. Some aged bathroom parts.
- Mark (7/5): Fun experience for the kids to feed the fish and paddle the boats. It’s totally kampung, so stay here with very low expe - This place has so much potential. Staff are very nice. Bathrooms need major updating and overall maintenance in general everywhere. The pictures of the ‘day spa’ you see via WhatsApp are NOTHING like the reality. Booked 150min ‘royal honeymoon package’ and was extremely disappointed. We only received less than 120min and facilities were really dirty, smelly and lots of spiders and spider webs everywhere. I know it’s kampung but that was just unpleasant. Would not recommend using the spa.
- Michael (1/5): Over priced - Cool weather Nothing was as it said online and overpriced
- Michael (2/5): Very poor - Cool clean air The parking was so far from the rooms it was rediculas I ordered room service chicken sate and the chicken was not even cooked. It was still transparent looking and the TV on the wall didn't work, no AC, the mini refrigerator had been taken out. From our room to the restaurant was a 8 minute walk uphill and everything we ordered for food was cold or uncooked. The pool was cold water. Not worth half the money I paid
- Vincentius (5/5): the owner need to improve its lackness, noted Sampireun famous name - the nature feels cleanliness of the restaurant and its dishes, bowls, table clothes, etc., many flies, bad smell, food quality is poor. not worth the money spent
- Phillip (7/5): Good location, very scenic but attention to some details was lacking - Good options for breakfast and in general the staff were good No fans, ok that there were no aircon but at the least they should have a fan. Ventilation in the room was poor and room felt musty, while the room was older it was in reasonable condition
- Peter (7/5): Good -

- Zahi (6/5): Pleasant - Things have changed compared to pre Corona
Dinner ,supper and night serving all not anymore part of the package
But the staff have upgraded my room for free
I sporeciate that
- Arifa27 (6/5): Enjoy stays here although lot of insects, bugs and leaking roof at the Villa - Good nature, quiet location, and beautiful view make this resort one of the favorite destinations so that it creates high demand, especially on weekends and holidays. We enjoying stays here, but if you have plan to stay better to prepare insect repellent and anti-inflammatory cream because lot of mosquitos, bugs, spiders, and another kinds of insects. We stay at Waluran Suite Hill which has 2 bedrooms and 1 living room and has leaking roof at the center, unfortunately it rains in the night so we have some rains inside the villa combine with a lot of insects. After we complain to the front office, they provide us electric mosquito repellent. In the morning, there was some menus empty, like cereals for the kids juice and infused water which they did't refill although we came at 07.30. But we enjoy here because the beauty of the nature and view and the other good service in this resort they provide a lot of traditional children toys so we can enjoy it. I think if they can improve maintenance for the insects and controlling facilities of their villa and make the better supply for the breakfast menus, it would be perfect. Other tips if you wanna stays here, pick villas which locate on side of the lake.
- Arya (8/5): Very good -
- Juwita (4/5): disappointed - breakfast, staff, location, all good building has been broken, light, dirty
- Amila (8/5): Very good -
- pdmancs (8/5): Relaxing - Overall an enjoyable stay at Kampung Sampireun. It’s a very photogenic resort - a bit worn around the edges but still comfortable, although the swimming pool looked more like a pond!
The booking process wasn’t particularly easy as all the apps were showing sold out for the two nights we stayed but there were actually very few other guests!
Buffet breakfast was disappointing, but all other meals were excellent. The huge restaurant area never felt inviting - mostly because it was always virtually empty, with the lights switched off, no tables set and no staff around - so we ate evening meals in our room.
Wi-Fi didn’t work away from the lobby and restaurant area, and even there it was slow.
Staff are nice. Helpful and friendly, although a bit regimented in how they deal with things - eg I was chased to death to pay Rps 200k for buffet breakfast after the card machine failed even though other meals/drinks were on account and paid at check out.
- Ida (9/5): magically natural beauty place to relax - the beauty of the nature in Sampireun..quite relaxing place to be, with fish freely swim around the cottage.. one another level of fantastic place. the noice of the group of people ( there were some big group of company was staying in the other side. the used of the microphone is too loud.. ruin the quite natural beauty of other guest that want to come there relax and peacefully. they should be limited time for them doing outdoor activity with loud microphone. they should be indoor for that.
- El (8/5): Very good -
- NakedTraveler88 (10/5): You belongs here... - Here is the place you looking for this whole time. Pandemic things, new-normal brought us the to new way of life. A hygiene, sanitize and healthy life we are living nowadays.
In this place you'll find a fresh air, quiet environment, peaceful nature and supported by a sundanese classic design of building, the lake concept just simply stunning.
When you choose the lake house for stay, in the morning you'll be woken up by the cold of the weather, feed those beautiful koi fishes (a lot of them) as first thing in the morning with your kiddos. Of course while you take your breakfast too (ask the room service to deliver it to the room). After that, you need to take your family goong around the lake by canoe.
This is just a perfect escape plan you need.
We spent 2 nights here and it is worth for every single penny.
As you leave Sampireun, you'll find yourself fresher, fully recharged and a thought for when you are going to visit this place once again. Because you belongs here...
Regards,
- Pilo2014 (2/5): Much below expactation - This was my 4th time within the last 10 years visiting the Resort. We stood with 4 pax for 2 nights from 2. till 4. of July.
Also I understand that because of the Covit 19 issues not the full resto service could be provided but maintenance and housekeeping was terrible. The 2.day the room was not made up. There is only a skechliey cleaning. Things are missed to check and replace (soap, toilettpaper) so you need to call them to deliver.
There are no hand towels provided and there was only a single tooth brush.
Toilets and other facilities at the reception and Resto are dirty; water not working.
There was some floating rubbish in the lake.
Front desk and management very unprofessional in responding to complaints.
As there was school holidays at that time a lot of families with children was there.
Just beside us 1 or 2 Indonesian families with - I guess 10-15 people occupiying 1 bungalow.
As there are not taking care about other guest as the management too the night was over at 5:30 after the islamic morning praying by rowing with the boat and loud conversation - the adults louder than the children.
Although the location is quite nice with cool air and nature around I can not recommend the hotel for international travelers anymore.
Think for the price there are plenty of other and better alternatives.
- lutvi_permana13 (10/5): Honeymoon - What a beautiful way to end the day.. Hatur Thank u kampung sampireun
Good Food
Good Service
Friendly
Lake is beautiful
Room fresh and clean
Recomended..
always be careful of the depth of the lake 3 meters
- CanRivai (10/5): nice trip..nice weekend👍😁 - very nice place to spent our holiday..
two tumbs up for everythings..
pelayanannya exclusive, semua staff ramah dan helpfull..dr entrance sama kita sampai ke kamar, kamar nya bersih, nyaman juga..food and beverage nya juga recommended bgt, apalagi nasi bakar, gurame sama sop buntutnya.. over all very recommended bgt tmptnya..for sure we will come again..thanks Kampung Sampireun
- elsad671 (10/5): Beautiful hotel - We have really good time here. We stayed at Waluran Suite hill with two bedrooms. It was really spacious and comfortable. The beds were large and comfy. My son loves the boat and we went boating several times. We fed the fish also. Really relaxing time and will surely come again.
- weiyanglow (4/5): Terrible Stay (COCKROACHES & spiders) - Shocked from Day 1. No air con. Ventilation in the room was bad (with the windows closed). No fan, no air con and thus it was very hot. If I opened the windows, the mosquitoes would have a feast. Cigarette smoke from lobby could seep in through the roof and could be smelt when I was sleeping.
It’s fair to say this is a Kampung stay and thus it’s meant to be rustic. But it’s RIDICULOUS to have COCKROACHES crawling over my pillows and large spiders hanging over my bed. (Check out the pictures)
Resort was noisy at night and sleep was bad. Could hear mosque prayers and noises at 3am in the morning. I have nothing against praying in the morning but it’s UNACCEPTABLE to infringe upon the rest hours of guests.
Food was bad. (Welcome drink was good)
But went downhill after. Breakfast was terrible and salty. Fed some of the fish to a cat and it didn’t even want to eat it.
Giving the resort 2/5 as there are some plus points. The view is scenic, and unique. Fun to have a boat docked at the room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (and even gave free fish food). The koi fish in the centre lake were excellent and fun to play with.
Overall, travellers are better off paying the resort a day visit (really enjoyable) but definitely NOT an overnight stay.
- theresianinoek (8/5): Nice Place... - On November 24, 2019 we visited Kampung Sampireun Garut,Jawa Barat
Actually, I have stayed several times there.
The place is still good and well-maintained.
Increasingly shady trees make a comfortable and cool place.
The room we stayed in was lake view, so the view to the lake looks good.
Room condition is still like my first stay, still clean and comfortable.
Spacious bathroom with hot water available too. Someday I will be here again...
- 300dee (10/5): Who says so ?!??!? - A perfect place to escape from a hustle and bustle city life. Peaceful place to stay with a beautiful scenery and rejuvenate atmosphere. Beautiful resort in traditional Javanese architecture. Pricey but worthy 😀
Who said money can’t buy happiness?!??
- DeasyAnna22 (10/5): “Beautiful place, The natural cottage in Garut and nice place for relax” - 1st time visit to Kampung Sampireun....
I stay in the Kalapalua Suite Lake room and i love it.
There is a private pool to chill on warm water, so for me who isnt too comfortable using the public swimming pool still can enjoy it here.
Also the room is clean enough so it is comfortable to stay, the design is nice.
The foods are ok, good ambience and the environment is really good.
Lots of fishes add beauty on the ponds, except that there are still garbages floating around, I hope they will fix it.
Overall i like it here. It is a nice place spend the times with your loved ones and to stay for a big family. Will come again when i go to Garut.
- UrangSundaAseli (10/5): Lake living charm! - Gorgeous villas with fabulous view but the best was the staff. I particularly give thanks to Rina at the desk. What a gracious and knowledgeable hostess. Our room was beyond expectations, the housekeeping staff was efficient, attentive. I have stayed at many resorts but do not recall a better or accommodating staff. Rina, our sincere thanks for helping our family experience a real peaceful tropical lake front living experience. We look forward to returning.
- Afief73 (6/5): good place to relax but needed a touch up - Overal I still like this place if you look for a serene place with hospitable services, my rating of 3 stars was referred to their aging from the last 7 years I stayed here, bedroom and toilet needs to be touch up to be cleaner and brighter, open roof of toilet like before is great where sun can go down, more natural, the water in the lake also looks too dirty now
- RamaR525 (6/5): Kampung Sampireun - a quick getaway from Jakarta - Kampung Sampireun is about 3hours drive from Bandung.
Accommodation is in huts like structures, some in water and some slightly elevated ground level. The huts are accessed by long boat on a raft. They are also connected by nicely landscapes paths.
We had booked three bedroom villa, which was cozy and nicely furnished, over two floors. It was equipped with two bathrooms, which were not en-suite. Bedrooms were decently sized and had comfortable beds
Food at the restaurant was average and had to be sent back twice as it was served cold. But the staff was very cooperative and willing to attend to us with a smile.
.
The only not-so-nice part was that there were two big and loud groups too. The noise level was deafening and there was complete lack of consideration to the comfort of other guests at the resort.
If the resort wants to entertain such big groups then they should close the resort on those days to other guests.
Other than that it makes a nice getaway.
- andrysdw (10/5): Short Vacation Getaway - 1st time visit to Kampung Sampireun, wow me and my family have a wonderful time even only one night stay, great experience we have there, you can paddle your own sampan while feeding the fish, they have children playground, feeding rabbit, fishing. Excellent breakfast more variaety, good staf, definitely stay there again..
- EllsyB (8/5): Lovely Sundanese hospitality - First visit in 2011, my eldest was 9. Since then he had often asked to return to this beautiful place. He is 17 now, and how awesome it was for us to revisit this resort in July. The resort retains its charm and beauty; the Sundanese arts and culture is strong ; their people are soft spoken and polite. We love our villa by the lake. Each villa comes with a perahu (sampan) which the kids love to row and row and feed the hundreds of koi fish in the lake. The fish are magnificent, always hungry, kids would even stroke their bodies when they surfaced to take their feed.
The good.
One bedroom villa can sleep up to 5 with extra bed. Open concept though.
Bathroom is big, has a stone tub but we cant use it to soak cos the temperature at resort is low, between 14°C to 19°C. However on the day of check out, it was sunny and soothingly hot.:)
Bathroom is partially open air and that's why we feel the chill especially in the evenings.
2. 2 life jackets, bedroom slippers and an umbrella are provided
3. Housekeeping was quick to attend to various requests, including to get rid of a small frog from the bathroom on the 1st night.
4. We arranged to have lunch at the centre of the lake. On a long raft. You can see the structure on their website. A novelty. Just be sure to order everything you want so you don't need to wait for the waiter to come by with his boat to ask for your 2nd order. Or you can WhatsApp call the restaurant.
5. In 2011, we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa...2 private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a sitting area between the 2 rooms. Sadly, they were fully booked this time. Very limited.
The not so good.
1. Villa look jaded and in need of reupholstery . Bed is still good.
2. Not sure if staff speaks English though those at front desk do.
3. Food at restaurant is mediocre. At dinner we had a la carte. Most of us liked the sup buntut ( oxtail soup). Buffet breakfast at best was the egg
station and pancake. Other brekkie offerings are very local or Sundanese , and though I am not a fussy eater, I did not know how to appreciate their style.
4. This time round, we didn't enjoy the sekoteng and serabi ... supper and pre breakfast servings that came by perahu to your doorsteps. Very simplified presentation served in cheap plastic spoons; very starchy and sweet. A big contrast from 2011 when I was blown away by the intricate display and servings of sekoteng and serabi.
The bad... absolutely bad
I cant understand why the resort would allow a team building group to carry out their activities at the centre of the resort which sound echoed and traveled all over the resort and spoiled a quiet afternoon. The group arrived late morning on a Saturday and the noise and shouting went on till it was time for dinner!!
The resort overall :-
Love the gardens, the lake, the walking path. And the cool weather. So so nice and refreshing. The perahu and the fish are big attraction for the kids including a 17 year old.
I asked my 17yo if he would like to visit again someday. His answer: Anytime, for sure! ( Despite the 6.5hrs drive from South Jakarta).
- in cheol (8/5): 친절한 서비스 - 숙박비를 지불하고 피치 못한 사정이 있어 숙박을 하지 못함.
프론트에서 확인 전화가 와서 고마웠음.
- batman0512 (8/5): Friendly Natural Place - Kampung Sampireun is one of the most popular destination place when we visit Garut, West Java. Natural resort really indulging.
Using a big bus really not easy reaching Kampung Sampireun. The road quiet small but is not a problem if we take a car.
Resto concept is open air where we can enjoy the natural ambience surround the resort. Food and beverage is good but it easy become cold in a short time because outdoor area.
The special area in this place is a small lake in the center where some cottage can use a tradisional boat to reach their place.
Very unique concept resort
- cindytiarameta (8/5): Back to nature - Nice place to stay. Really love the place we close to the nature, and we can get much beautiful pictures. the room is very comfortable, and quite clean, I like the service is satisfying, shortcomings is less air conditioning and a fridge. for some people like me who like to be cold situations, this is to be our concern. the atmosphere was cool, but at night and the door closed we were getting hot inside, although not too disturbing. the food is ok, not bad and not too good, it's worth 7 out of 10, overall i like this place, gonna comeback soon ❤
- duacilik (8/5): another great escape - this is our second time at sampireun. we were here in 2010 before the kids and now we are back to show the kids this beautiful place. such a great escape for anyone who wants to escape from the city’s hustle & bustle and experience simple ‘kampung’ living. the hospitality is top knotch from every staffs and the view is ever amazing. stay in the lake bungalow, you wont regret it. but need to book-in early as they got snatched quick. we will come back again xx
- Verified traveler (10/5): pelayanan luar biasa, hotel bersih - suasana segar, udara bersih, pelayanan luar biasa, hotel bersih, kamar bersih, kolam ikan jernih.
hotel ini memberikan pelayanan yang sangat memuaskan melebihi harga yang kita bayar.
