Susan (7/5): - Very convenient location. Clean facility. Bed was too firm, and too high for me to get into it easily (I am 5'1" tall). The tub was very slick, and it would benefit from another grab bar in the shower.l

Hall (3/5): - The hotel was clean and very nice. There was an entire group of hockey kids staying the same weekend they played hockey all hours of the night banging on walls and floors . We had to get up early due to my son competition trap shooting so got no rest. The staff finally tried to address it after we would call in the middle of the night. The parents were allowed to sit in the lobby listening to loud music and drinking while the children were unattended all over the hotel. Then during a tornado warning we went to sit down in the lobby had no instructions on what to do and the parents continued to drink and the kids ran around screaming.

My husband is disabled from a stroke & is on a walker. He was very tired when we checked in. The desk clerk gave us a room that was on the 2nd floor way at the end of the hall. We had asked for a ADA room. Only 1 elevator was working. It was dark & dingy Not a good IHG example

There was only 1 elevator that worked and it was very slow to go up and down 4 floors and the door was very quick to close before you could get in or out. The shower in the room was as slick as glass when wet. I almost slipped twice the first night. I inquired about a shower tub mat and was told I had permission to use a wash cloth to stand on. I had to buy a bath mat to keep from slipping in the shower. The breakfast room was very hot. the coffee was very good and hot. The breakfast was ok the pancake maker was fun to use.

Regan (6/5): - Parking is pretty inconvenient. Pretty far away from the front door, no matter where you park. Plus you have to walk uphill. The hotel is really not around anything other than a steakhouse. The free breakfast, including the drinks, were really gross tasting. We went down the street to a restaurant called Rize-N-Shine to eat instead. It was amazing there. I would highly recommend that restaurant. The front entrance staff guy was not very friendly when I called on the phone twice. The hotel smell was not the best. Good things- the rooms seem to be pretty clean and feel pretty large. Both of the rooms we got had small refrigerators and microwaves. The pool was heated.

It looks like parts have been renovated, but things like carpet haven't, and even the newer looking wallpaper in the bathroom was badly done with huge creases in the corners. One of the elevators was out of service, the lobby was very hot (so not sure if a/c wasn't working, and a window in the breakfast area was shattered still in place. This was our second disappointing experience at a Holiday Inn Express unfortunately.

The website didn’t tell us the hotel was under construction. The lady at the front desk did when we checked in. We checked into our room and we could hear some of the construction inside our room so we decided to go to the pool. The next morning they started Construction about 9 o’clock I believe. 😏 Our comforter on our bed was dirty. I turned the comfort around put the dirty spot at the foot of the bed instead of in my face. The next morning the housekeeping was beating on our door. She was ready to clean out the room and we had not checked out yet. My grandson was still sleeping. She did apologize to me. The hotel should’ve given us a discount on our bill.

cinnamonl730 (10/5): - We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is my favorite Holiday Inn to stay at in the whole Greater Kansas City Area. Originally from Kansas City so I know quite a bit about the area. The staff here is amazing, especially front desk staff Michael who went above and beyond the call of duty for the owner of our company. I chose this hotel for him to stay in on his business trip because we had an unforgettable (In a good way) experience when coming on a prior business trip. This hotel is very quiet and they go above and beyond to accommodate you. Michael was so professional and showed great compassion when it came to taking care of the boss. I have never dealt with any unpleasant issues here. We run a transportation company so we stay at a ton of hotels throughout the year. Things happen when you run a business whether it be a hotel business, transportation company, IT, restaurant, etc. Nothing will ever be perfect except God! I have stayed in high-end hotels and had horrific experiences. Bottom line this hotel really is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. Thank you Michael for a job well done. The main issue was the noise. I don’t know if the people above us were having a raging party or if the walls and floors are paper thin but it was so loud we couldn’t fall asleep untill around midnight when everyone went to bed. We ended up just leaving the second evening and driving home because the noise above us was so bad.

Upon arrival we were staying with our softball team and the lobby felt like it had no AC. It was a hot weekend. Got to our room, it was 75F and felt wet and smelled severely of mold. Staff didn’t seem to care about concerns. We had no choice but to tough it out and stay, but the room never cooled down and we spent most of the night coughing from the wetness and mold. I will not stay here again.

sandragP6558FP (2/5): Poorly managed property. Avoid if possible. - Booked a one week reservation at this location to attend a meeting. Arrived at hotel to discover that both of its elevators were inoperable and that it might be several days before repairs could be made. No first floor rooms were available. Front desk clerk offered that I could cancel reservation without penalty due to inconvenience so I did. Got a room next door at the Courtyard and could walk to meetings being held at Holiday Inn. It took 6 days to repair only one elevator. Those staying on floors 2-4 were forced to carry luggage, etc. upstairs. Guests complained of other maintenance issues including inoperable or inadequate room AC during hot, muggy weather. Most exercise equipment in fitness room inoperable. Shabby rooms. All in all, happy we relocated. This property seems to be suffering from deferred maintenance. Do not recommend.
Baker (7/5): Good - Comfortable - Our room was very clean and the breakfast was good. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The parking lot is a little tight and can be a jaunt. They did not change out the towels or ask to any of the 3 nights we were there. I understand "green policy" but we were playing softball all weekend and could've used some fresh towels at least once. The other issue was the elevator being out - so we didn't take our cooler with us to the field. Unfortunate timing for us.
Patricia (6/5): - We have stayed at this holiday inn express before and its been good. This stay was not as good. The exit to get to the hotel was closed and there was a detour to get there. That was not the hotels fault. We were on the 4th floor and the the elevator was not working off and on during our stay. The desk clerk did offer to move us to a 1st floor room if they didn't get it fixed. We kept our room it was a nice suite. The second day the AC wasn't working, they came right away and reset it. All in all our stay was good just unexpected troubles.The service was good just technical issues.

Elisabeth (7/5): It was clean and comfortable and I would consider staying here again. - The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and had a good number of supplies in it. The TV was difficult to operate and I couldn't select anything to watch easily. Also, one elevator was broken down so getting to and from the room was not as easy as it could have been.

Jessica (6/5): Solid choice - This hotel was fine. It was nice and clean. For me personally, the mattress was too firm, but the pillows were nice! My only major complaint is the doors in this hotel close really loudly. We were woken up several times by slamming doors and accidentally slammed our own in the afternoon.
Sarah (8/5): Very good - Rooms were large. great breakfast. friendly staff. Ice machine on our floor was broken. pool had ants on the pool deck. Room had a musty odor, felt "damp". Refrigerator didn't work well. freezer "defrosted" and leaked water everywhere.

Sydney (5/5): Sufficed - Breakfast was awesome. Lots of options. Staff was very helpful. Shower Water trickled when turned to hot. 2nd night didn't get hot at all. Got moved to new room which was great but i was annoyed. Room cleanliness was subpar. (IMO Having a cleaning business of my own. )

Jon (7/5): Good - It was clean and comfortable, and a good location for us They were working on the fire alarm for the longest time. Then, the elevators were broken. They finally got one elevator fixed.
Erica (6/5): Overall it was nice. - Staff were friendly, the place was clean - needed a little TLC in places. The Bed was comfortable, location was perfect for work. The walls were not sound proofed. Noise travelled and when you are working 14hr days and just want to sleep, it's difficult when the hotel is full of teens in town for sports, running up and down halls and constantly hearing the doors opening and shutting and squealing the whole night.
Heath (4/5): Ok place, price too high, 5 of 6 gym machines inop - The place was clean and location good. Beds were great. Carpets were worn, carts were worn, and five of the six exercise machines did not work. AC was good. Not worth the money paid, though. Over $200 for night. Good restaurants near. One elevator not working. Place was a bit run down, but clean. Staff was nice.

Kaley (6/5): Mold/mildew issues - The room was nice and clean. Big nice bathroom. Only complaint was our room smelled like mildew. There was a wall air unit on the upper wall next to one of the beds that appeared to be flaking mold or something onto the bed. Black flakes on the comforter.

Nicholas (4/5): - Cheap hvac not by window like all hotels. Right over the bed. Blows down all night. Imagine hvac for the whole room, focused on the bed. Made for uncomfortable nights rest. Only way not to have the hvac blowing directly on you is to pay their overpriced suite. Thermostat read filter needs changed. Meantioned it to staff. They didn’t seem to care. Who knows how long a dirty filter was blowing on us as we slept. Will not stay here again. For $150/night it was terribly uncomfortable
Michael (5/5): There were issues with my rooms, but the staff was easy to work with to fix the issues. - The location was convenient to where I was needing to go in the city. The staff was friendly. My room was switched multiple times. The first room door would not unlock, The second room's thermostat was set to cool, but heat was coming out. The third room's ac would not turn off, so it was cold in my room. they got me a little heater so the room temp was fine after that. The hotel staff was easy to work with these issues. It was just a little frustrating that rooms were not in ready condition. The was a mark on the wall.

Susan (8/5): - The location was p Erfect. Easy on and of to main highway. My bear feet test they were clean. But the parking lot was not safe. They did not salt the frozen sidewalks. Which made them very slippery.
Mina (4/5): Disappointing - N/A Well it was fine until my vehicle was blocked in with snow because they pushed it all behind me. On top of that it took me asking 4 times for staff to help me with the issue. There was one main lady upfront who was wonderful I just didn’t catch her name!

Mary Anne (4/5): - Toilet took several flushes to actually flush. Shower door was not attached to the wall properly and very difficult to open. Shower floor was cracked and therefore likely not sanitized. Hallways smelled terrible. People running down the hallway screaming at 3 am. Just lots of little things that could easily be made better with some maintenance and proper cleaning.
