• René (2/5): Schön aber lausiger Service! - Die Lage Das Hotel scheint relativ neu zu sein und ist schön gemacht. Aber man hört alles im Zimmer von den Nachbarn neben und oben. Jeden Wasserhahn oder sogar Lift oder was das für Geräusche waren. Aber das lausigste ist das sie bloss nur jeden zweiten Tag die Zimmer machen. Wenn ich 4 Sterne buche, generell ins Hotel gehe dann erwarte ich dies. Sonst kann ich auch mit dem Camper reisen. Schade für das schöne Hotel.

• Lurgio (5/5): Would never recommend. - Staff was excellent. We stayed a week. Trash emptied, towel exchange, coffee setup, etc. only every other day. Not adequate!! We had to beg! Hotel advertises free breakfast but not true we paid $8. Plus for breakfast which was just sandwich, not great! Not convenient to the rest of Sarasota. Went down for what was supposed to be ice cream available to guests but cook was too busy to help us. Problem with management, not cook as he was alone to cook and serve ice cream.
• dillar9706 (10/5): St.Patricks Day in Sarasota - Stayed at Aloft Sarasota 5 nights over St. Patricks Day. Great stay; beds comfortable and location very walkable to bayfront park and Main Street restaurants and bars. Only drawback was the hard doors to pull shut that made a lot of noise….but that was offset by the rooftop pool and bar and the billiard table and soft serve ice cream machine in the lobby. Travel hint: snag a Peanut Butter cup from the breakfast jellies for later and mix with the ice cream that night.

• daniel (1/5): Valet carjacked our car with wife inside! - Got a refund. They could’ve have obeyed the law.
• andresandjessa (2/5): Alexis is rude and ruined the experience. She does not belong in the hospitality industry. - Alexis at the front desk was incredibly rude. Her lack of customer service skills ruined the trip. I booked a room with breakfast. When I came down to inquire about the breakfast, she told me I had to pay. I explained that I booked a room with breakfast and showed her my booking including breakfast (the room came at an additional charge for breakfast). Her reply? "Other people who paid the same rate as you got breakfast and it shows up on my screen as breakfast included. Yours doesn't, so you will have to pay." I called the booking website who confirmed I did book with breakfast and they called Alexis to tell her I did book the room with breakfast. Alexis confirmed that and said "so do you want your breakfast now?" I said I don't want breakfast anymore but I didn't appreciate the way she spoke to me. I told her she could have told me, have a cup of coffee, try reaching your booking agent to resolve the discrepancy, or even recommended good places to have breakfast, but instead she told me other people paid what I did and got breakfast! I told her that was not good customer service and there's other ways she could have handled the situation without even giving me breakfast (which I had already paid for!) Being nice is free. Alexis told me, she wasn't rude, she won't apologize and I can go ahead and complain to her managers, they will always back her up, she has been here a long time....more rudeness! It was astounding. I paid $324 to be treated horribly. Forget the dark dreary small rooms, forget the 'city view' of another office building looking right at you, forget the uncomfortable bed that had me wake up with back pain in the night. I could have dealt with any of that and not minded, but rudeness is totally uncalled for. I left without breakfast. I just joined Bonvoy but I'll never again stay in this brand of hotels because customer service is their last priority. I typically stay in Hamptons for half the price and get excellent service. Lesson learned.

Plastic covered sparse menus and quality of food not good. For a hotel that is not by any means cheap, a decent breakfast restaurant is I think expected.

They wouldn’t let me see a menu in my room after I’d driven nine hours (I have a lot of migraine food triggers, and I didn’t want to waste half an hour going down there if there was nothing but, you know, bar food on the menu), so I said I wouldn’t give them any more money if they had to be unreasonable. The rooms are all right but nothing special. Parking is ridiculous. You have to valet, which means you can’t get back to your car while you’re there. We’d have been better off at a Holiday Inn. I will admit that they have a pretty cool-looking music player thing (I doubt it sounds good), but it doesn’t work with anything but an aux cord or Bluetooth, and I can’t get it to turn on. The TV is also appears better than a Holiday Inn, but I’m still working on working it.

Loud air conditioning Alarm clock goes off a 4 am You’d think by now Marriott would know how to make a bed by now but, but they use all these sheets that come all apart, and it’s tucked so tight the bedding only reaches your chest. In room coffee tasted crappy No bikes available Food choices poor, don’t plan on breakfast Pool wasn’t warm Can hear the person in the next room coughing. Every other day housekeeping.
• Silvia (6/5): Vielleicht ist nur der 2. Stock laut, lieber vorab fragen in welcher Etage das Zimmer ist.. - Die Lage des Hotels hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal was durchwegs sehr freundlich. Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer war so laut, dass wir sie ausschalten mussten. Zudem kamen vom Gang laute Lüftungsgeräusche ins Zimmer.... also war dieses Zimmer im 2 Stock tatsächlich nur laut. Der Ausblick war auf eine Mauer, okay, das hätten wir toleriert. Aber vielleicht sollte man vorab wissen in welcher Etage man das Zimmer bekommt, dann kann man unter Umständen nochmal 20 Euro draufzahlen und man bekommt einen "netteren" Ausblick.

• repayb4 (2/5): Awful. - I was aware that the hotel would be modern and minimalist but the reality was that the place is stark and municipal and the newly renovated room I was given was dirty. The air conditioner unit was extremely noisy and I was woken up at 2 am by drunks in the corridor. The breakfast menu has a handful of unappetising microwaved items and really poor quality. Aloft is not a boutique hotel . It is a sub standard motel and my night there ruined the start of my vacation. The ice bucket in my room represented the hotels style perfectly; cheap and tacky with a rusty screw on the bottom. But the management seemed shocked that I was unhappy. Pleas think carefully before booking here.

Was not aware that we had to valet the car for an additional fee and car came back with multiple scratches on bumper and side. Was not aware of breakfast choices until the last day. Checking in was so basic because they were "busy" so we had no idea of the amenities. When we did order food the first night we waited 45 minutes for a salad and a quesadilla.

Cleaniness: I found some hair tangled in the sink faucet. nothing serious but some people might not like it. Utilities: the power plugs close to the coffee machine were not working, thus I had to move the tray with the cofee maker to another plug. In addition the plugs plastic cover was not fixed properly to the wall and popped out when i remove the plug. I would suggest room care/maintenance team to pay attention to these details

• Dayra (10/5): - La piscina espectacular el horario muy asequible Al principio el valet parking, pero igual no stationery en el hotel ,en las afueras puedes parquear y despues de las 8pm no cobran hasta las 8am.
