klconklin (10/5): Exceptional Partnership Amid Evolving Plans - I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kelly Dean, Sales Manager at Element Basalt – Aspen, for the past two years in support of our group, The Snow League, and her professionalism and partnership have been exceptional. In our first year, we were still finding our footing as an organization, which resulted in frequent changes—often on a weekly basis. Throughout it all, Kelly remained consistently professional, highly responsive, and incredibly accommodating. When additional rooms were needed, she made the process seamless whenever availability allowed. She approached concessions thoughtfully and fairly, ensuring solutions aligned with the needs of both the group and the property. She was always communicative when challenges arose, which made a complex planning environment far more manageable. In our second year, we formalized our partnership with a contract. As is often the case in live event production, our staffing needs shifted, resulting in a reduction in room nights. We approached Kelly to explore options for adjusting the contract without incurring significant financial penalties. What happened next was something I have rarely, if ever, experienced in my career—she worked with us to effectively reset the agreement, allowing us to restructure based on our updated needs. The hotel adjusted terms in a thoughtful and fair way, modifying only one concession. That level of flexibility and partnership is extraordinary. Contracts are typically rigid by design, and it is exceedingly rare for a hotel to take such a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach. Kelly’s willingness to advocate for our group and find a path forward speaks volumes about both her professionalism and the values of the property.
Karen (9/5): Nice hotel, but a little far from slopes - Nice new hotel. Very clean. Breakfast was good. No daily parking fees. Kinda far from Snowmass and Aspen. More driving than I thought I would be doing and there aren't that many street lights on the road at night.

chrislI8655CG (10/5): Great spot to stay near Snowmass and Aspen - We were visiting family in Snowmass for the holidays. This is an excellent location. The corner units are a 1 bedroom with a bath just outside the bedroom so if you have kids sleeping on the pullout couch, they can easily access without having to walk into the bedroom. The was a little road noise from highway 82 but nothing significant, especially at night. Excellent breakfast options. All day coffee and tea provided in lobby. I didn't use the gym on this trip but it looked well appointed for a hotel. Front desk, working on 12/23 and 12/24 was extremely helpful and cheerful despite working the holidays. Hotel is set in an area with many restaurants that you can walk to as well as a whole foods. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.
Britta (10/5): Don't let the price fool you- best hotel in Basalt. - I stay in hotels frequently and this is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The breakfast buffet was also incredibly clean and well stocked and managed. Handicapped parking for my mother was right at the side door which was conveniently located and there were plenty of luggage carts in New condition. The shower head was very ample with the water- I'd like one for my house. And the complimentary in room kitchenette was phenomenal. And the staff was quick, courteous, and helpful with everything. Best hotel stay ever. Everything was excellent. There was nothing to complain about or even to find room for improvement. A+ lodging.

As we tried to get confirmation, we became double booked. We spent hours that night trying to clear that up. Expedia, hotels.com, and the hotel said the problem had to be handled by someone else? We finally cancelled one booking and were left in limbo as to charges. I will find out tomorrow about charge???

Walk to everything Willits has to offer, such as Whole Foods, restaurants, and Crown Mtn Park. Great mid-valley location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great beds and bedding. Fabulous free breakfast. Gym was great too. Just wish there was a hot tub, unless I did not see? Pool was small. Great outdoor area for relaxing and pets. Tons of parking too! Will definitely stay again, if the opportunity arises.

GalxeFortCollins_CO (10/5): Nice place to stay for visiting the Aspen/Basalt area - We just got back from a 3 night stay and had a good experience at this hotel. There were 3 of us sharing the room and it was nice having a couch in the room and a kitchen. The bathroom was very large with ample counter space. Everything looked clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good with lots of options and the main dish changed every day (breakfast burritos, mini omelets, etc). There is a nice outdoor courtyard. The location is kind of far from the historic downtown area of Basalt but there were still some restaurants and shops within walking distance, including an ice cream shop in the same building. We visited Aspen and Marble while in the area. Plenty of parking out back. The only minor issues we had were the room lights kept randomly turning on and off - we couldn't tell if they were on a motion sensor or what was going on. It would have also been nice to have more blanket options for summer besides just a heavy comforter.

They didn’t even question there staff or check to make sure that it wasn’t there! Just terrible service! I’m more than sure I left it there if they were to go trough their cameras they would have seen the housekeeper took it! u can see the cameras when i bring it in and don’t come out with it just terrible more than 60 dollars worth of my stuff Is gone now and they won’t even help me get that back

rwheeler1977 (8/5): Great stay at my first Element hotel - I stayed at the Element on business trip. It is surrounded by a shopping center that has everything you could possibly need from restaurants to a dry cleaner and Whole Foods market. The hotel itself is small but packed with a punch, it too, has everything you could possibly need. The Element is modern and clean and offers a complimentary breakfast. My only gripe was, I had a room facing the freeway and at rush- hour times I could hear the traffic.
AdventureDocs (8/5): Great option near Aspen skiing - Stayed for 3 nights in order to ski 3 of the Aspen mountains. An enjoyable stay overall. Stayed in an executive suite on the 3rd floor. The room was big with a separate living area and a mostly full kitchen set-up. We did not cook but you certainly could. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and big (shower only). The front desk was helpful and accommodating with little things like getting ice (there are no ice machines in the hotel) and restaurant recommendations. Mezzaluna is worthy of a meal and Westbound and Down has great beer (Juice Caboose) if you are going out in the little shopping district. There’s a Whole Foods next door and a paved trail to run/walk post skiing as well. The morning breakfast was pretty good and had some very nice touches like homemade breakfast burritos (big shout out for this). They also had a free small happy hour Monday night. The gym and hot tub were clean, easy and overall this was just a really, enjoyable more affordable option than Aspen proper. There is some minor road noise if your room faces the highway but that’s minor compared to the hotel’s overall excellence. Would definitely stay again.

Tabitha (1/5): Worst customer service - left in a scary & dangerous situation. - Nothing. I was refused a room and they would not honor my reservation even though I had a receipt of my reservation and kept showing the front desk attendant, Enock. It was going on 3 in the morning, middle of nowhere mountains and I was turned away from the hotel even though I had reserved and paid for my room. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! it's a miracle I survived the night ...in my car. Imagine if I didn't have a car! I did not feel safe and had zero help or support from the front desk attendant. Also, I never got reimbursed for the roughly $300 I spent on a room that the attendant refused to give me. Will never go here again. To be clear: everything. I was refused a room and they would not honor my reservation even though I had a receipt of my reservation and kept showing the front desk attendant, Enock. It was going on 3 in the morning, middle of nowhere mountains and I was turned away from the hotel even though I had reserved and paid for my room. saxorob (10/5): Really well managed, and a great option for staying in Aspen - We were in town for the week to visit our son who was attending the Aspen Music Festival. We started out with two nights at the St Regis in Aspen as Bonvoy Platinums, then when we ran out of money (haha) and moved to Element Basalt. It's not of course the same type of hotel, but I have to say we preferred the Element. The staff is so much more sincere here, and we always had the impression that they would bend over backwards to do anything we asked. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. We liked that they don't provide water bottes in the rooms for environmental reasons, but rather have RO water filters and proper glassware in the room instead. Beds are great, furnishings are high-end, rooms are super clean (and new!) and the free breakfast for everyone is really well designed with higher-end pastries, juices and egg dishes. There are dogs EVERYWHERE at the St Regis - including multiple large dogs larger than our children sitting at meals leashed to the tables in the restaurant. We really, really appreciated the sign in the Element lobby saying that furry friends were welcome at the hotel, but not in the dining area. That was a huge relief to us. The hotel is about 25 minutes drive from downtown Aspen, but that actually didn't bother us at all. Downtown Basalt is only 5 minutes away and is super charming on its own - we wouldn't have seen this town had we just stayed in downtown Aspen. Try Tempranillo restaurant and the Free Range Kitchen there. They are as good if not better than any restaurant in Aspen, which is saying a lot - and the prices are slightly better up here as well. There is also a neat little historical walking tour that you can do using the Basalt town website. It only takes about an hour and explains over 100 years of history in the town. Overall, it was a great stay. We'll probably come back to visit Aspen again next summer, and this hotel will be our first choice to stay. Tip: (if we understand it correctly): if you park in front, left, or right of the hotel, they charge $10/night. But if you park behind the hotel, those spaces are owned by the city and are free. Ask at the desk though to be completely certain - they are so nice and you can trust that they will give you an honest answer.
Nancy (10/5): - Dog friendly, located in a nice neighborhood with lots of dog friendly restaurants and shops. Nice grassy area, with seating, barbecues and tables in back of hotel. Great little park and walking path within 5 minutes. Liked the room, with bedroom, bathroom and small living room area with a kitchenette. Made it very comfortable and functional. Lobby area is nice and breakfast is good. They also had a "wine happy hour" while I was there. My room was located across from elevators and faced onto the highway so it was a bit noisy. Next time I would request a room on the other wing away from the highway.

njoireading247 (10/5): Nice area and good location - We always like Elements and this was no exception. It is near to restaurants and a Whole Foods, plus there is a lovely patio to enjoy. We sat outside and enjoyed the mountains in the evening. A fireplace provides a little warmth on cool evenings.
Verified traveler (10/5): One night after a Ragnar - Great place to stay! Everything was very clean. I will say I was more than happy with the room I got. The room had a stove, big refrigerator and the best part...a big bathroom with a spacious shower. The employees were very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of dinner options within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel. Even if its just for one night.

Ronald (8/5): - first room we were assigned had a cracked sink and bathroom mirror, also it was on the top floor right under a heating and cooling unit. Very noisy. we took pictures of the sink and mirror and showed to front desk clerk. she apologized and offered another room. this room was on the first floor, when we tried to enter the room we discovered the door lock would in fact not lock. back to the front desk clerk, she apologized and said that was an easy fix and immediately called maintenance. she said it wouldn't take long so went for a walk came back in about 1 hr and the door lock was operating correctly. The bed was harder than we like but we weren't going back to complain about it. this hotel was very convenient for the weekend we had planned and the breakfast was good although because of a soccer team tournament in town seating was in short supply. Would probably stay again but would also do some price shopping.

K150DEtimothyr (10/5): Five star service - Anna went above and beyond to secure a handicap accessible room for me after my back surgery in Aspen. All the service staff throughout our stay were friendly and accommodating . My sister flew in from Az for my aftercare, shared my room, loved it.
Michele (8/5): - So the hotel was nice, staff is friendly. We were traveling for our kids ski competition. Be aware that if your room is on the side of the hot tub it may get very loud. It felt like a party going on down there. Our kids needed to go to bed early and they could not get to sleep. I did mention it to the front desk and they went out to talk to them. It got quiet for like 5 minutes and then the music was back on.

Loud music and people that didn’t seem to care about others that needed to get to sleep. I have two kids that have a competition in the morning and the hot tub was so loud! It was like a party. Kids couldn’t sleep. The hotel needs to manage the party scene at the hot tub better.
