• Susan (9/5): I stayed with my 2 grown daughters and we had a quiet relaxing time - Rose the owner was very friendly Very clean food was delicious and the area was very quiet I don’t have any complaints
• Jan (10/5): It was wonderful- welcoming, beautifully appointed, great location and very charming. - The breakfast was outstanding! It was beautifully presented, delicious, and plentiful. Rose was such a welcome host and her place is so artistically designed with attention to every last detail. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom like a spa and everything was meticulously clean. We hope to visit again! Nothing could be improved upon- truly. We wish we had had more time to enjoy the beautiful gardens.

• Wendy (10/5): Great unique experience of an old time charm! - All the little details to make the stay memorable and quaint were fantastic! The bed was super comfortable and Rose our host was very attentive and accommodating for all are wants and needs.
• Kai (10/5): Traumhaft - Es war traumhaft schön. Ich schreibe für meinen Mann und für mich. Im ganzen Haus duftet es herrlich, das Zimmer war richtig gemütlich, ebenso das Bett. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Rose ist so nett und herzlich. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und stylisch eingerichtet und hat viele gemütliche Sitzecken. Es gibt jederzeit Kaffee, Tee und Getränke im Kühlschrank. Zum Frühstück hat Rose uns mit einem liebevoll gedeckten Tisch und einem sehr leckeren Frühstück verwöhnt. Sehr zu empfehlen !

• Neil (10/5): Wonderful stay - Lovelly house, spotlessly clean, good location, Rose is a wonderful host. Super comfy bed and wonderful sheets. The property is a short stroll to the centre of town alongside a river where the salmon were running - amazing! Nothing. Although a caution, the rooms are up a steep flight of stairs.

• Ian Hathaway (9/5): Delightful - Charming, friendly, and attentive host. Delicious home-cooked breakfast. All the amenities we needed were provided. A short walk from the town centre. The Jacuzzi bath was a nice addition. Very comfortable bed. Lovely garden with a porch to sit on. I think that although it was a lovely stay, it was still a bit pricey compared to similar spots in Port Hope.

• Joanne (10/5): - Our hostess Rose was lovely, a terrific cook, happy, pleasant, and very thoughtful. Breakfasts were so special and delicious, presented on beautiful table ware in a bright room with windows overlooking the green gardens. There is a lovely back porch where we enjoyed our time overlooking more beautiful gardens. Our room was quaint, cozy, and comfortable. The AC works very well and fans keep air circulating around the farmhouse beautifully. The bed was a dream to sleep on. Sheets and bath linens are very high quality with lovely soaps, bath salts, hair products for our use. Parking is on site and convenient. Walking to the shops and restaurants took about 5-8 minutes. We would definitely book again and will be sending recommendations to our friends!

• Tanhum (10/5): A gem of a find. - Rose was a delightful and welcoming host. The room was extremely clean. The place is situated just a few minutes walk from everywhere you'd want to be in Port Hope. The breakfast was gourmet and delicious and Rose was able to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian diets.

We were a bit taken aback when we discovered our bathroom was off a common area - though still private, it was unexpected to find the 2nd floor guests exiting through the same area we tiptoed through to access it! Wear a bathrobe unless you don’t mind parading in pyjamas. 😊

• Kristopher (10/5): An excellent Bed & Breakfast! - My fiancee and I couldn't have been happier with this bed and breakfast experience. The place was comfortable and well designed. Even the bed sheets were of good quality. The host was most gracious and kind and the breakfast we had offered everything you would want/need. There is also a nice balcony that looks into the woods where we sat and had our morning coffee. We will definitely be booking with this place again next time we need a place to stay in that area.

Breakfast was on the dot, exactly as described, and the host asked about and anticipated any food issues. Note that the host requests check-in from 4pm onwards, but was very appreciative and accommodating if you communicate that you are planning to arrive quite a bit later, The property is easy to find if you follow the directions given on the booking confirmation sheet, and is very close (walking distances) to the downtown core. This property is upscale, but value for money. Thanks Rose!!

Rose is quite a gracious hostess, and fabulous cook. Everything was healthy, fresh, and homemade. If you're looking for something a little off the beaten path, but within walking distance of many attractions, shopping, dining, local history, scenic river and beach... look no further!

It is located within walking distance of Port Hope downtown area and the room itself is very nice. The room is clean, ventilated and comfortable. The bathroom is well stocked and has a nice Jacuzzi. The host was very friendly... served us hot breakfast and made us feel at ease.
