Guest Reviews
- Angela (7/5): This will definitely do in a pinch.. - I had low expectations by the cost but took a gamble because it's location to the hospital. Was it a Hilton? No. But it was comfortable and clean. Drew was extremely courteous and very friendly. He lives on site, which was comforting in case we needed anything. He gave us his cell number but also mentioned we could knock on his door! It was a little dated...maybe a little run down...but like I said...comfortable, clean...and ridiculously inexpensive.
- LaBenz (8/5): My stay away from home - It was close to my destination. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and made my stay pleasant. They made fresh coffee for me, when it was slightly cold. They advertise free continental breakfast, which i found out the owner didn't renew his food license, so there wasn't any like advertised. The price was a bit high, and no discounts offered.

- Elizabeth (6/5): My evening would have been quite comfortable if not for the noise from the upstairs apartment. - The location was excellent for travel to the hospital. The breakfast was not much by the time I had arrived (about 8:20 am) and did not appear very appetizing. My biggest complaint was that the couple upstairs played their TV all night until 5:30 a.m. and then started to argue. Because I could hear every word, I got very little sleep at all.
- Sally (9/5): -
- James (8/5): Brian was great. I know it must be difficult to try and stay afloat, but he makes sure guests feel valued. - The owner was friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs The bathroom could use some upgrading
- Kathleen (5/5): - convenient location A lot of wires plugged into sockets, no hairdryer in the holder, sink not fully attached to the wall, blanket was very thin.
- Todd (10/5): -
- Mary Jean (5/5): -
- Karen (7/5): The location as well as the price was helpful for my limited budget. Good for my small dog. - Breakfast was a simple continental style which was adequate.
- Christine (8/5): I would stay here again. Unfortunately there were some very loud people in the room above me. I had. - The owners/managers were very accommodating and friendly. You could see they have put their heart into their place. The neighbors in the next room
- Linda (1/5): Worst place i have stayed in marshfield - Nothing Uncomfortable bed
Broken shower
Very loud
Barking dog
- Kristie (3/5): It was cheap but it was very old and worn down. The courtesy breakfaat wasnt there . Said it was open at 6 with coffee e - It was close to the hospital Old and rundown. Old worn sheets and pillows. My sister in law had the door off the bathroom sink sitting on the floor. We stayed one night and stayed at another place the other nights.
- Danyelle (6/5): Be patient - Clean comfortable room. I don't know if it's new management or something but not nearly as friendly as last year. Adequate at most. I just got there after a long drive and day of work. I had returned a call with my arrival time and no one at the front desk. Called the number and said they'd be a few minutes. Turned out they ran to Walmart. I'm all for locally owned business but really?
- Sarann (4/5): - There were bullet holes in the windows next to our room. The bathtub was super small, the floors sticky
However, the water was hot, the beds pretty good.
- Tisdale (10/5): Would stay here again. - Very comfortable and convenient. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
- Alex (8/5): -
- debbie (8/5): - Needs a little work but all and all the room was clean and the host was very nice. In my room the volume control for the tv didn’t work and was quite loud. I would stay there again if in the area.
- Kelli (3/5): Very disappointing. - It was inexpensive and close to the hospital. Extremely run down
- Sheldon (8/5): -
- Jill (4/5): It was just ok. - The location to were we went was great. The ceiling was peeling in bathroom could just use a little upgrading of things.
- Miguel (2/5): - Nobody was there for check-in or checkout. I had to check myself in, go behind the desk to grab my own key, and when I left, I had to slip the payment through a slot in the door. The room wasn’t much better—one lampshade was busted, some towels were dirty, and overall, it was probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
- Wright (8/5): -
- judith (5/5): The place could be really cute and retro, but its pretty run down and rooms really need updating.. - We needed to go the Marshfield Hosp for a young teen surgery so staying at this allowed us to walk there.
Room had hot water, clean towels and pressure was good for a shower! The room had debris under each bed, no exhaust fan in bath area, toilet flush handle was hard push down, furniture/carpeting was stained and dirty, when the old air conditioner kicked in lights would dim, sheets didn't fit the bed well and come undone, everything in room was very dated and not kept up and dead bolt did not work on the door the knob just turned 360 because its broken and we also saw bullet holes in windows near our room....it could be updated to look retro but its still in 60's with same old things that are dirty and breakfast was creepy looked like food had been there for days so we skipped it
- Heather (1/5): - The guy was friendly The room was moldy and smelled bad had to go stay somewhere else
- Rick (10/5): Good stay. - Staff was friendly. Room was fine. Good value.
- Ron (6/5): 3 star comfort level and low air conditioning - It’s not a bad little place but the air conditioning doesn’t fully cool the room it’s pretty clean but the rooms are a little slummish I like a firm bed but if you don’t like firm you won’t be comfortable
- Allan (8/5): Handicap Accessible - We booked early to line up ground level entrance. The air conditioner and TV were an added benefit. We needed the afternoon check in to catch a nap and the bed close to outlets made that possible. Notice that the room was ready would have helped but hotels.com was offline and I had to check two places to find the right motel. I wasted a lot of time on line.
- Barbara (3/5): Not my first choice in Marshfield in the future. - Location. Able to accommodate later checkin. Had a small fridge for beverages. Paid for an upgraded room. Room had an odor. Used an air freshener from my car. Floor was sticky. Mold in bathtub. Desk chair was wobbly. Surfaces of furniture & fridge need a deep clean. Pillows not great, used my travel pillow instead. Didn't try the breakfast.
- Sandra (8/5): - The Inn was close to everywhere we went to. It was clean, but could use updating. The young man in the office was very friendly.
- Irvin (2/5): - The worst option
- Vierra (9/5): Superb - Quiet, cheap and clean
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Cheap and quiet.
- Ahmed (10/5): It was a great experience. - I stayed at Simplicity inn for about 2 weeks. The owner is super nice. He really helped me out.
- Dan (5/5): It was a place to sleep -
- Hackman (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (7/5): Good -
- Sally (10/5): - Just a good ol motel stay. Nothing fancy, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was good & plentiful. We will stay here again.
- Podrez (8/5): Very good -
- Ronchetti (8/5): Very good - Very personable staff, and great location.
- Rossow (10/5): Exceptional -

- Rossow (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teubert (8/5): Very good -
- Danyelle (9/5): Superb - Friendly clean and affordable
- Marie (4/5): - This is an older motor lodge type motel (where the doors open to the parking lot.) The proprietor was friendly and the lobby was decorated in a cute, mid-century decor, but from there I have nothing good to report. The room was old; carpet was worn; there wasno door (only a curtain on the bathroom.) The heater was noisy with missing vent covers; air leaked around the windows and air conditioner; blinds had broken slats; bathtub was rusted; lightbulb was burnt out in the vanity; the only outlet in the bathroom was an ancient one in the top light fixture that didn’t even fit my hair dryer (which luckily I brought with me.) The bedside table was up on wooden blocks. The bed was fairly comfortable (and it was clean at least), but the pillows were very flat. Walls were so thin you could hear everything. The person in the room above blasted the TV all night long, and at one point was screaming at someone (on the phone, I think.) I suspect this person lives at this hotel. They have a dog (which is fine), but during the night (which was cold), let it outside, and then it was scratching and barking outside the door of my room before the person yelled for it to come upstairs. I barely got any sleep.
I booked here because it is close to the hospital, but I would never stay here again.
- Danyelle (10/5): Locally owned business with a heart ❤️ - After the motel I originally booked wouldn't answer their phone after I arrived to check me in after they already charged my card this place gave me an excellent deal. It is an older property but locally owned and great owners at that. Internet was spotty but he informed me that it was getting upgraded. Should be great when I return next week.
- Susan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jeni (7/5): Good - Room was nice and clean. The owner was very nice. Unfortunately owner put me in a room with a single bed instead of a double like requested and left property after I was checked in. I was too tired to try and call him back. I am sure he would not have minded because he was very nice, but with 3 kids in tow one bed was not enough.
- Brenda (5/5): Passable -
- Jaque (8/5): Very good - The receptionist treated us so nicely. Needs to be refurbished
- Kurt (6/5): Ok, but not a good value financially. - The woman at the check-in desk in the evening was unprofessional, complaining about the computer and was a bit discourteous. She did get the job done. The check-in was not smooth. Nothing to eat nearby. The pizza I bought from you was way overpriced and not of great quality.
My experience in the morning was very good though. She was friendly, courteous, professional, helpful. A real pleasure to be around.
- Robert (2/5): - Tv did not work, no staff I mean not one person there to even talk to about it.
- Sheila (3/5): Poor - Only a few things, location, 👍 had 2 queen beds, it was a place to sleep. Too much to mention. Needs alot of improvement, and cleaning.
- Edward (7/5): Good -
- Douglas (10/5): - Nothing extra fancy like the big hotels, but extremely nice and comfortable.
- Yesica (6/5): - Old rooms..
- Michelle (2/5): We will never again stay here. - Breakfast was cereal (raisin bran) and Kwik Trip Donuts. Room was gross....stained sheets, dead bugs in the corners, and please no matter what do not open the door to that adjoining room. Ugh! The room smelled terrible like mold and mildew. The doors and light switches had dirt embedded on them. Left bathroom door open the whole time so we didn't have to touch it. The price was crazy for what we got. The air conditioner didn't blow cool air. We slept a few hours on top of the beds with our own blankets and woke up early and got out. Went to a gas station to brush our teeth.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean, comfortable and suited my requirements. Checkin was straightforward and staff member was pleasant Nothing that I can think of
- Ashton (8/5): Very good -
- Athena (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very polite and hospitable. He made you feel at home. This is truly meaningful and special! Especially when you are away from your own home a lot of your time. Great coffee and milk! Breakfast was included. Absolutely will stay again when in the area! Nothing
- Mark (10/5): - Very clean room and bathroom. Greeted when you walk into the clean lobby. Free coffee and continental breakfast. I recommend Simplicity Inn
- Jessica (5/5): Passable - The breakfast was good. Great customer service from the man at the front desk when I got there to check in My husband went to the office to ask for ice and sat there for a good while no body ever came out, the ac unit did not cool up, and you he bath tub was clogged up.
- Adina (7/5): Good -
- Samuel (9/5): Great Value, Great Staff, Great Location - Right next to the clinic and a short walk from downtown. Staff was excellent and really flexible with my checkout. A/C units are old and pretty beat up, WiFi was pretty spotty unless you were near the window but good speeds.
- Julie (10/5): - Brian has been very nice, just my first night. Room I’m in is small, but that’s ok. For the price, I’m fine with it being not the prettiest, the rooms are clean, and everything works, so far. Will be pry staying a few more days, do to a friend in hospital. Walking distance to the hospital, which is nice.
- Manas (10/5): Exceptional - Budget friendly. Very close to medical center. Brian is a great owner and a considerate innkeeper. He went above and beyond for everything.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great simple motel! - This place was outstanding, especially for the price. It was like a blast from the past being a motel like from my childhood.
As a single woman traveling alone I was very pleased with the excellent lighting around this motel and a double lock. Also, everything was clean even if a bit dated in a few spots. The majority of the place has been remodeled and for what I paid I was more than happy. Plus, the water pressure was great so I loved the shower too!
- Tainter (3/5): Horrible Nights Rest - Location It was extremely dirty. Pills were left in drawer and very dirty shower. Not to mention the bedding had hair all over it.
- Sonyskynevyalay (10/5): I would stay there again! - I like how the place felt like I was at home! The sweat from the toilet dripped on the floor (used a towel to catch). The sink leaked but leaked inside the sink itself, so it was no big deal.
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Randy (8/5): - Bed was uncomfortable
- Anonymous (10/5): It was available, affordable, clean and perfectly located. The people were friendly and helpful. - The staff was amazing and the location is right by the hospital where I needed to be. The price is budget friendly. I will highly recommend and use again. Nothing
- Tammy (1/5): Bad - Location Mold caused me bad health issues
- Suchocki (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was minimal, doughnuts, mini muffins, toast and premade waffles to pop in toaster, but sufficient and did include a variety of fresh fruit. Good hot coffee. Loved the front office decor and newness. Rooms need some updating.
- Katey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angie (2/5): Cheap and dirty. - The cost.
Front desk employee was nice. It was not clean. There were crumbs still on the desk, chunks of food under it. The bathroom appeared clean.....until you saw the hair everywhere. The light switches were even grimey (visible dirt). Things were VERY outdated, which for the price we were expecting but not quite like it was. It was also very loud. Some of the noise, they can't help as it's on a corner with two streets. But, the second night there were smaller kids and a mother just screaming at them and then wailing. Plus, our neighbor must live there with an assigned parking spot, but his TV was so loud at night that you needed ear plugs. It was pretty awful.
- Craig (2/5): Very poor - Very un kept
Needs major mntc
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was great The Wi-Fi could have been faster
- Tonya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (2/5): - this is a filthy hole
- Phillips (9/5): Superb - It was good and a good
- Lew (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst place ever - The owner wouldn’t give me my refrigerator and freezer stuff. I had hot dogs ground sausage lots of juice bottles and energy drinks all in opened brand new!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (2/5): - What a pit. Dont stay here
- Rick (8/5): - The building is old and in need of some repair but the room was fine.
- Diane (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (6/5): Pleasant - Ok
- Steve (8/5): - If you need a very affordable clean room for a close stay to the Marshfield Hospital this is it. Had to check in late, the Manager was very accommodating.
- Marie (10/5): - It was close to medical center
- Grace (7/5): Good - Staff was amazing. Very understanding. Just what we needed for our emergency stay.
- Sigmund (2/5): - The room was dusty and the floors were dirty the windows were open when we entered the room and had no screens. The air conditioning was old and poor condition. The heating unit was not in good condition pieces missing and seemed unsafe. The bathroom was very outdated and the tub was rusted and chipped. Very disappointed and didn’t feel very safe. Don’t know if this is also long term stay for low income but was uncomfortable with the other people staying around us.
- Margaret (5/5): I expected simple and basic, but really needs some TLC. - Bed was comfortable. Room was a decent size. Appreciated the easy chair in the room as well as the microwave and fridge. Offered breakfast but I didn't try it. Mold/mildew on window sills and around shower. Heat functioned poorly - ran the heat constantly with thermostat on 85 to get room up to 70. WiFi was sluggish and generally 2 bars or less.
- John (7/5): Good - I wasn't looking for the Ritz and I didn't find it. Staff was great room O K Four wall and a bed easy to get to Marshfield hospital I broke my neck to get there and Simplicity Inn eased some of the pain.
- Carmen (8/5): Stay was fine, owner was friendly. - Staff and place was clean. Was close to hospital. Bathroom water was hard to turn on and room smelled funny when I first walked in. Maybe just air the room out.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Easy check in
Friendly staff No complaints
- Andrew (6/5): - No door on the bathroom, missing faceplate on plug ins, no slide lock on the door
