Debra (5/5): I ate at one of your local restaurants. The next day I was sick as a dog. Vomiting with diarrhea. My stay was not pleasa - Being so close to the ocean.
Ryan (9/5): Would definetly return. - Right on the beach. Great ocean view from our balcony. Everyone there seemed to be having a great time. This area of the beach was far less busy. Parents, life guard tower in front of motel. Parking is tight. Older motel and small, but very clean and comfortable. Knowing now, I would plan on having something for lunch and breakfast to make it a little easier and no need to run out for every meal.

Martin (9/5): It was a great time and a wonderful stay. - Familiarity - we had stayed at the Friendship about 12 years ago and we enjoyed it then. When we asked about the rooms being close and a bottom floor room for my mother, who is in her 80's, we received an email from the Friendship who let us know that had fulfilled our request and the other 2 rooms we booked were right next to each other. We had a wonderful weekend! A little more sunshine while we were there, not just on the morning we were leaving. ;)

Vicki (10/5): Great locaction - The location of this hotel is wonderful. It's right on a beautiful beach. We had a balcony room and it was so nice to sit out and watch the ocean. Our bathroom was kind of small but other than that everything was wonderful.
Lawrence (7/5): We had a nice time at Friendships. - Can’t beat the location. Staff was very friendly and room was clean. Wi-Fi did not work when we got back to our room every night. Would have liked to see more recycling/ bottle return bins. The shower was tiny.

Then thru the other door theres a couch with a tiny kitchen & a very very small bathroom. Without a sink. I think all the rooms look the same. Needs updating severely.

Valentine (10/5): Very relaxing and perfect beach experience! - We enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the ocean and also the people. Had nice neighbors too. We also liked the quiet hours. It would have been nice to be able to catch the trolley to the pier and amusement park so we didn’t have to drive down and pay $20-30 each time. The trolley didn’t stop by the hotel.

They have a grassy lawn area between rooms that would be good for ourdoor games, but a sign saying they didn't want guests playing there, they wanted them to go do activities at the beach instead. Bathroom is super small.

Plenty of space The hotel is dated. They do their best to keep it updated but I wouldn’t consider it ‘modern’. Think 70’s beach hotel with a few incongruent updates over the years. Bathroom is very small and shower could have been cleaner.

Nikki (9/5): Cute rooms and a lovely beachside stay! - Right by the beach with a lovely view! Close enough to walk to the pier area. Beautiful view of the moon from the beach at nighttime. Close enough to Portland to easily visit there without staying directly in the city. Room was very cute and even had a small kitchenette space. Great to visit even in off season! Bathroom was a bit small but still perfectly workable. Balconies were only divided by short railings & were not very private, but this didn’t matter as much in the off season.

Gerald (8/5): Great place for the money. Convenient access to Portland, where we attended a wedding. - Location and value. Bathroom, shower, was small.

Good price, clean rooms, great access to the beach, and friendly staff. Its not fancy, but it was perfect for us. Thank you!!

kevin (8/5): Nice view, but neighbors were loud late at night - The beach view was nice. A couple of the neighbors were very loud late at night, maybe drunk. I didn't want to yell at them and escalate the situation, just sometimes people can be ignorant.

Tara (6/5): - Room is very small and outdated. Walls are very thin. Can hear your neighbors talking and every footstep upstairs. Shower in bathroom is so small it was difficult to move around. Staff at check in were not friendly or helpful. Best part about this hotel is the location. Every room walks out into a grassy courtyard and out to the beach. If you stay here request a room upstairs and close to beach otherwise you are right next to a road and you will hear footsteps above you all day and night. If you’re able to have a room upstairs close to beach I would recommend this hotel. If not then I would stay somewhere else.

Christine (10/5): - Excellent location and view of the beach. Staff really took care of the place. Nice heated pool and chairs by the beach side. A little far away from restaurants, like not within walking but very quiet. Balconies were all connected with neighbors just separated by railing.

Ryan (8/5): - Fine place on the beach. Suite style rooms with a porch are a great feature. Parking is quite tight, but it’s included so forgivable. No elevator to the second floor. Just note if you have a lot of stuff or are not partial to stairs. Overall, in my humble opinion, one of the better options in a sea of overpriced tourist stops.

Andrew (8/5): - The Property is right off the Ocean! We could see and hear the ocean from our room and see the sunrise every morning. In the room, the bed was amazing and there was plenty of room to sit and relax. It was a little dated, but you can see that they had recently updated the bathroom, so I am sure it will only get better.

Scott (8/5): - Cute little beach town and a property delightfully "stuck" in the 19960-90s....before hotels became so "corporate." Not fancy, but nice people, decent and clean rooms, sleepable beds and an AMAZING beach with gorgeous sunrise (set your clock!!!) . There's a train track about 300 yards back, but few trains and what we heard was short fast and didn't shake the ground. Definitely good value for the money.
Robin (8/5): - The staff was very friendly. The ocean was right outside your door. The mattress was just okay and linens weren't the best but over all I would recommend this property if you are looking for an affordable stay in Old Orchard Beach.
