Room was very well appointed, with lots of nice touches. Melanie also provided safe storage for our bikes :) The only downside was a bit of traffic noise but there were even earplugs plugs provided in the rooms anyway.

I stayed at Cartref 8 years ago and loved it so when I knew I was coming back to Carlisle, I was happy to see it was still available for stays. The quality is as good as I remember! Only downside is traffic noise -old house on a busy road so not surprising -but earplugs were provided!
- Jenny (10/5): Perfect, luxurious stay in Carlisle - The property was beautifully decorated, smelt lovely, and had so many extra luxuries such as little bags of sweets, hot chocolate and marshmallows tied in a bag and a bow, foot bath for tired feet and many other extra bits which made it feel luxurious. I had the best night sleep for a while. The breakfast was also so tasty with lovely fresh, homemade food and such lovely choices. I had the cooked breakfast which was tasty and I saw someone else having the stacked pancakes and fresh fruit which looked amazing. Totally recommend Cartref for your stay in Carlisle Nothing to dislike

My room was very comfortable and had some really nice person touches to make the stay extra cosy! This was an ideal location and the host was also very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you for a lovely stay! That I hadn’t booked a longer stay haha
