Guest Reviews
- Jeff (10/5): - Nice clean pool
- James (8/5): - price
- Teresa (10/5): - My mother had dementia and had a medical event, I had to fly down quickly. I booked a room there for 1 week. It checked all the boxes I needed. It had a kitchenette with dishes, pots, pans, toaster, coffee maker, ect. It was clean, had a good amount of cable channels and a beautiful pool. Its very wonderfully retro and very clean. The management are amazing people. They found out why I was there, and helped me tremendously with anything I needed, including making sure I had a way back to the airport on time. Honestly, I couldn't have found a better place to stay for the money. It was quiet, clean, convenient, safe, and just a wonderful place to stay. I can not recommend this hotel enough!
- Kirsten (10/5): - The room was clean, the pool was nice. You get what you pay for. When it comes to rooms I don’t mind just the basics. I always bring my own pillow and blanket and I never walk on the floors bare footed.
We enjoyed the pool and the neighbors were very friendly. Would not stay here with kids however would definitely come stay again for a close beach motel with a pool. Also! Bring quarters with you if you want ice bc that costs you a quarter and you’ll need to bring someone to hold the ice in bc there’s no ice buckets.
- Matoka (10/5): - Very clean and the a/c worked wonderfully.
- Erik (8/5): - For the Price it was exactly correct . Close to beach, quiet clean, super friendly. . Thumbs up
- yerouk (10/5): - We stayed over and it was so peaceful the vibe in the motel was so chill we weren't sure at first but we enjoyed ourselves it was definitely an experience we won't forget! definitely would stay again!!!
- Darlene L (8/5): Nice Pool - Really like Roxsha, whom Greeted me. I believe she was the owner. She even called b4 I came to confirm. Old School.Nice Place, Love all the Birdies!
- Melissa (10/5): - Very comfortable home away from home
- karen (4/5): - Getto
- Meredith (10/5): - Thank you
- Kevin (10/5): - Everything was good. Only wish a TV in the master bedroom.
- Meredith (10/5): - Clean and a lot of room!
- David (10/5): - This property is old - you can buy postcards on Ebay from the 60s/70s featuring this motel.
It's remarkably well kept, it's clean, no bugs (in Florida!), in good repair.
It's a throwback, for sure, though. When checking in, I filled out a registration card! Really!
- Gerard (10/5): Largo motel .pparis festival our business art cra - Th e motel was older but super clean and very acomodating and conformable will stay again.
- Marianne (6/5): - Fireworks...more like explosives...went off until 2 am then resumed at 5 a m
No sleep
- Nicole (8/5): - Great location to the beaches. Clean rooms and friendly staff. If you are looking for a good place to stay for a night or two absolutely!!
- Thomas (8/5): - Classic 1970s style. Large space in the suite. Shower was not great but kitchen was nice.
- David (10/5): Great place to stay - Wonderful stay. Family owned and has been a staple of the area.
- Joan (10/5): - The desk staff was amazing. We had a late arrival and they kept up with us for a couple days so that we would be able to get into our room even if they were not at the desk. They were very very accommodating
- Frances (6/5): - It was an older motel but was very clean. Person the front desk was very cordial. I only stayed overnight so I did t use the facilities. There was a nice pool and the area was clean.
- Julie (2/5): - The room was filthy. The carpet was filthy, my feet after walking on it were black with dirt. The air conditioner had not been cleaned in forever. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and marijuana. The bathroom was very old. Light switches were very dirty. We left an hour after we arrived.
- Cláudia (10/5): - Nice
- donna (8/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't figure out the air-conditioning until the second night. Facility dated. Carpet sticky to walk on.
- Matthew (10/5): - Clean quiet staff was very nice .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Simple changes needed to meet expectations - I liked: windows opened, AC was cold and quiet, bed was comfortable, large refrig., clean and inexpensive. Improvements: pillows too long and flat, upgrade towels and comforter, remove carpet, provide coffee filters, shampoo, blow dryer, paper towel, hand soap and dishwashing liquid at sink. Quests need to bring drinking water- no bottled water for purchase at motel.
- James (10/5): - Staff was very nice, clean comfortable room
- Jordan (8/5): - Good motel for the price
- Nomad48298848066 (10/5): The management works to make your visit trip fruitful. - Clean, full functional, beautiful swimming pool, convenient, friendly staff, friendly bird , sound moderated from outside noise. We'll furnished kitchenette and appliances clean and worked great. Wish the tv was a smart tv. I don't know why I must type 200 characters.
- William (4/5): - Bathroom didnt work properly room had a smell when i went in as well
- Roberta (8/5): - It was dated but I knew that. Rooms were very large ( previously apartments). Really good air conditioning, quiet and efficient. A lot of road noise due to busy 4 lane byway adjacent. Awesome second floor patio. Tables and chairs have seen better days, but functional. Great large pool. Perfect water temperature, tables and chairs are better there. It was quite private from the road surprisingly. A couple of negatives would be property manager (older) gentleman barged into our room without knocking to check smoke detector. No notice or apology given. Not given any DND signs. So couldn’t alert housekeeping not to service room while we were out. Close enough to amenities, my choice there. Seniors travelling from Canada. I would stay there again, good value.
- Laura (10/5): - If you're lookimg for a clean, comfortable place to be for a couple days, this place works! There's a pool for your kids to get energy out, and each room is like a small apartment with a kitchen. Its not updated at all, but super clean and comfortable.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Extremely clean room. The cleanest room we stayed in all week. The property is dated but that did not effect our stay. Large apartment type room which would be great for longer stays. Would definitely stay again.
- Hartmut (6/5): - Low level surroundings.
- cheryl (8/5): - All the bedding and towels were clean but the place really needs to be updated If they even just ripped out the carpeting it would feel so much cleaner. It had a kitchen but no kitchen towels. We were only there 1 night and it was ok!
- joel (10/5): - Clean, well kept. Our room (suite) was large, dining area, 2 sofas, big TV, kitchen, large bedroom.
Walking distance to a real diner.
- John (8/5): - It's fine friendliness well kept
- Charlie (6/5): - This is an old property which reminds me of the olden days. None of the modern perks in the rooms and the office is a small building seperate from the rooms. Operated by "Mom and Pop" who are very pleasant. Room was huge and looked like a small apartment.
- Kelly (8/5): - Great little spot! Unclear why there's no TV in the actual bedroom. The only fault
- Laurie (8/5): - No-frills stay; the cleanliness was immaculate. The living room couch upholstery was a little worn. Full kitchen was a plus. The front desk associate was very courteous and helpful.
- Carol (8/5): Super stay - Easy check in and out. Clean. Great service. Convenient location.
Not a new place but had everything we needed. Our second time staying here!
- charles (10/5): - very clean room , friendly staff, close to beach & restaurants
Will definitely will return next visit to area !
- David (6/5): - Due to the age of the building there was that faint musty odor that is not pleasant. But did like the fact that the units were actually small apartments which gives you extra room to move around and the ability to cook your own meals if you want to... It was nice being off of the main roads also.
- Shawn (8/5): - Just the shower head room was great nicely set up
- Nicholas (4/5): Not at all what was expected from pictures. - The pictures on the site are very misleading. The view from you room overlooks a very rundown, grungy trailer park. I had mentioned to the front desk attendant that I required a handicap parking spot. Only one available for entire hotel. All spots had the room number painted on them, and the one for the room I was assigned was taken by someone else. I had to walk around the building then up a flight of stairs with a major heart condition. The assigned spot for the room was much closer. Very old and outdated. Rooms were fully equipped with kitchen, dining room and living room. Bathroom very outdated and not equipped for anyone over 5’5”. Bed was very uncomfortable. No ice machine or vending machines. Location is a 20 minute ride to beach. Not worth price.
- Kaylee (10/5): - It was great
- Verified traveler (10/5): Terrific place -- stay here! - Really nice place, better than expected; very clean, well-kept grounds, huge room, newer bed, I would definitely stay here again.
- McCauley (10/5): - It was really clean, really cool, comfortable. It is conveniently located, has a nice pool, and affordable.
Can't wait to come back!
- 707laureeng (10/5): Accommodating my husband dying at the local Hospital - We were here for my husband’s hospital stay. They were very accommodating and were awesome to allow my sisters-in-law and father-in-law also staying so we could say goodbye to my husband who was dying at Largo Medical.
They went out of my way to make sure I was okay.
The place needs a reno big time. The electrical panel is exposed in the room which is scare but also good if you lose power.
The pool and upper deck looked great. They are well located for the hospital and for the beach. Which has free parking. Great beaches nearby. If I needed to be in Largo again I would stay here. The place smelled clean n was inexpensive.
Very kitschy feels like the 50’s. I felt that Fonzys Happy Days would have honeymooned here.
- Robyn (10/5): Quite clean and safe - Very clean very quite. Booked the apartment with the kitchen. Great ac kept the room nice and cold. Only downside for me personally no tv in the bedroom. But still a tv in the living room. Bed could be a little softer for my taste but still comfy enough to sleep. Kitchen has plenty of pots and pans even A toaster. the room is outdated but its been kept in wonderful shape and i can't get over how clean everything was. It did have a light musty smell when first getting in the room but once the ac was running it was gone. We did love how quite everything was we never once heard the neighbors at night. Will very much stay here again anytime were back in the area
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, pleasant, and affordable.
- BLKSEA (10/5): Will definitely return there! - A friend and I went for a ladies getaway. We were surprised how nice the place was. Very affordable for everything we received in the room. My most important thing is everything clean (that it was) Everything close by outside our door was the pool. Walking distance restaurant's.
- aimeemU3948FS (10/5): A Wonderful place to stay - Very affordable and great place to stay. My family and I have stayed here before and we have never been disappointed. It is an amazing family owned motel and everyone there are so very kind and accommodating. The rooms are very neat and clean and the pool is also very well maintained and heated! It is close to the area beaches, shops and restaurants; so you are able to be close to the action without having to be overwhelmed by the congestion and traffic associated with other places on right in the beach. If you are looking for a safe, clean, cozy, and affordable place to stay I would highly recommend you stay here. As I said we have never been disappointed and I don’t think you will be either. We will always return to Belleair Village! 😊
- 627tigers (10/5): Excellent Service and Location - We needed an extended stay and the owners were so accommodating. The location is great. The motel is fantastic. The pool is heated!!! They have a great outside area. The daily cleaning of the rooms is wonderful. Super atmosphere. Staff extra friendly and flexible. Thanks again for the hospitality!
- alejandron444 (8/5): Great value for a quick weekend getaway - Family owned, very affordable compared to any other hotel around in miles, great location, clean apartment type rooms with dishes and silverware, mini fridge and kitchen. Friendly staff.
Building and rooms are in need of an update but as they are is all you need for a nice weekend getaway.
- Alnark (8/5): - Family owned, very affordable compared to any other hotel around in miles, great location, clean apartment type rooms with dishes and silverware, mini fridge and kitchen. Friendly staff.
Building and rooms are in need of an update but as they are is all you need for a nice weekend getaway.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The rooms and furniture are very dated, the AC is very noisy and the room smells of stale smoke.
- marysZ1ZR (10/5): A fantastic place to stay - My son & I recently spent a night at this adorable motel because of water issues at home. The lady at the front desk was very nice & very helpful. The room was impeccably clean, with 2 double beds, a mini ref & a microwave. I will absolutely recommend this motel to everyone. If I ever need a motel again this one will be it!!!.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked all aspects of my stay in the motel especialy the quiet surroundings, and pool...Steve Jacobs, Canada
- Teresa (2/5): This place was a dump. - This place was a complete dump. I didn’t even put my baggage in the room it was so disgusting. There were three cop cars out front. I told the managers immediately that I didn’t want to stay because I was afraid to and they still charged me $100. I will dispute this on my credit card. This place is dangerous for anyone to stay in.
- Annette (10/5): - We stayed in the apartment unit and it was very spacious and very clean! We would definitely recommend this motel. Everyone was pleasant. It may look like that 70’s show decor but it was clean and the bed was quite comfy.
- roma1011 (10/5): Amazing! - Great service! It's family owned so they make you feel like family. Love the location and the people!! I will continue to come stay here when I’m in the area. It’s close to the beach and has great food options nearby!
- Patrick (8/5): Nice stay - The stay was good. My family and I were happy with our stay. For the price of the hotel it was definitely worth it. We'd stay again in the future.
- Ayla (10/5): Perfect - Don’t stay here if you are expecting modern amenities or a breakfast bar every morning. This place is very much decorated like the 80’s but it’s very comfortable and very clean, a full kitchen in the “apartment” and a walk in closet and it’s not outrageously priced. I will be staying here again.
- eric (10/5): Vintage motel - Hotel had a small kitchen. Tons of closet space. Plates and glasses no pots. The decor was old but the convenience made up for any short comings. The pool was warm day and night. Drop box for early check out. Great price, we’ll be back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was adequate. Old motel. Staff were friendly. Pool was clean.
- 472JeffP (10/5): Keep coming back !! - I have stayed at this motel on at least 10 occasions over recent years, and I love it !!
The place is excellent, I have stayed in a 1 bed apt, for all of my visits, and they are excellent.. The management team are great......would I recommend this place......you bet !!!!!
- TroyG648 (8/5): Very Good, considering the price - This was a last minute booking in order to visit a family member in a nearby hospital. I really wasn't expecting much and I wasn't disappointed. The room furnishing was extremely dated but in good shape. The king size bed was very comfortable. The TV was surprisingly a flat screen but there was only one in the living room, none in the bedroom. I never used the kitchen, which was small. The place was very clean. The staff and manager couple were friendly. The pool, which I didn't use, seemed nice enough and was being used by others, including a woman that was smoking while using the pool. The patronage was definitely eclectic. Some seemed to be a little a seedy. Others seemed to be budget retirees vacationing for the long haul. Overall the place had a certain charm to it. The motel shares the property with an RV park that definitely seemed worse for the wear. If you're looking for a cookie-cutter chain, then look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a budget place with a certain funkiness, I daresay even a relic of a Florida gone by, then this is your best pick for being close to downtown Largo and the Pinellas Trail.
- nelsl (10/5): Enjoyed Our Stay Immensely! - We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 month stay at Belleair Village Motel and plan on returning next year for a longer period of time. This facility is the 'old style Florida' which is what we prefer. Our room was very spacious and clean and was an apartment style with a separate bedroom. It also provided daily room service and had all the necessary kitchen utensils (pots, pans, etc.) and appliances. The pool is well maintained and is heated and the pool grounds are a social gathering area for all the guests. We made many friends and look forward to seeing them all next year. It should be noted that many patrons to this motel are return regulars, and have been coming back for numerous years.
The owners and staff are absolutely amazing and so accommodating. They truly treat you like family and go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The motel is about a 10 minute drive from the Indian Rocks Beach, and Clearwater Beach is close by also. The Pinellas Trail is about a 5 minute walk from the resort. There is great shopping close by and many fabulous restaurants as well. We would recommend Belleair Village Motel for anyone and especially to those snowbirds who are searching for a long winter stay.
- evat996 (10/5): happy bikers - My husband and I had a wonderful 5 weeks staying at the Belleaire Village Motel. It is our 4th year there. We enjoy its location-one block from the Pinnelas Bike Trail. We love the heated pool and the socializing with other guests. The motel is clean and the owners are super nice and accomodating. We enjoy catching up with the owners and their families. It gets better every year. Not fancy and very affordable.
Only 30-40 mintes by bicycle from many beaches.
- 763glenm (8/5): Great Management. - I was at this village years ago with my parents and the family has continued to be great hosts and very accommodating with our needs. The old style of service is very refreshing by a very nice family.
Glen @Christine M.
- tom56327 (10/5): Great Service! - The Belleair Village Motel is a vintage motel that has been well maintained. The management believes in old fashion personalized service. They treated us as if we were a member of their family and went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful stay/holiday.
Our room was spacious, clean, towels provided daily, and the beds were very comfortable.
The motel is in a great location with many things to do such as shopping, parks, beach and Pinellas walking trail.
We stayed for 5 weeks and truly enjoyed our stay. Especially warm friendly atmosphere and some of the special touches such as a special Valentine’s day celebration. We met many people who have been coming to this hotel every year for over 20 years which demonstrates the value of this property.
We enjoyed it so much we plan to return next year.
- JoannaSwiecinska (8/5): Thank you! - I was absolutely satisfied with all the services offered by Bellair Village Motel and with the affordable prices.
I really enjoyed the location of the motel by the proximity to the Largo Medical Center, for the hospitality of my husband.
The apatment was very spacious and clean.
Extremely courteous and helpful staff, especially the owner Jani who helped me through the difficult moments during this time. I was treated with awesome kindness. Thank you!!
- 472JeffP (10/5): Just gets better - Been to this 'old style' motel many times before, and it continues to fully meet every expectation I have. Minutes from beach and shopping, plenty of sunbathing areas, and fabulous pool. What can I say !!
- cltbeez (8/5): We stayed here first in 1971. - This motel is a real gem we have visited on multiple occasions since we came to look for a house in the Clearwater/Largo area in 1971.
It is still decorated in the fashion of that era. It is well kept with clean rooms and reasonable prices and very helpful staff.
We still come periodically to visit family and friends who live nearby. Keep up the good work and we will not consider any other hotel or motel.
- Valerie1950 (8/5): Life Saver - My experience with this little gem of a motel started way back in 1989. I live in Minnesota and I had 2 aunts and one uncle living in Largo and Seminole, FL. They lived their working years in Ozone Park, NY. We came from a very large Italian family. In the early 70s these wonderful people gave up cold New York winters and moved to Largo. They lived here for over 20 years, however, they had no children to care for them. That's where I come into the picture. By now they are all in their late 70s and I was the only relative young enough to care for them. I made 4 to 5 trips a year for 20 years. After the first 3 years I moved them into the Barrington a great seniors place. One year my husband came with me in September and because we were planning to stay for 2 weeks, we found this little motel between Largo and Seminole. I checked it out 2 months earlier and was shown a small but clean efficiency room. We got into Tampa very late and we drove to this motel. I was horrified at the room they gave us. Not nice and when you turned on the lights there were roaches everywhere. The fridge was a relic and all the shelves were rusty. I remember bursting into tears when my husband asked me if I really checked the place out. It was very hot and humid and I refused to stay in the room. It was raining and my husband, who was much braver than me slept in the room. When he got up, he asked where our luggage was. I told him they were in the car and we were not staying another day. That's when my uncle told me about this motel. It felt like heaven compared to the hell hole we stayed in. The rooms were clean, the AC worked great, the staff were very friendly and the pool looked wonderful. So for many years I'd stay there and it always felt like home. I don't know why my computer ended up on this site, but the motel doesn't look a day older, very clean, and a great location. I only had one complaint and that is, if you come from a northern state and you are there in the summer months, I don't care how cool the pool looks, it's hotter than bath water. At the end of everyday, I'd get back to the room and stand under a very cold shower. Usually a place starts to show wear and tear, but if anything this great motel has not changed. The prices are great and you will enjoy the 15 minute ride to the Gulf.
- CalebTaylor2015 (10/5): You had me at hello... - You always know its going to be a great stay when the desk clerk answers the phone letting you know if you party they will kick you out. Happened one other time in my life and that hotel, like this one, is a gem. I have been in Hospitality for seven years and for the rate I paid for this hotel, in this location, I believe I got the largest "bang for my buck" I've ever gotten. This was seriously one of the best stays I've ever experienced. The beds are comfy & linens were fresh. The kitchenette was great for our bucket of chicken we hauled back from the beach. Our room also had a sleeper sofa. The pool is amazing! Absolutely beautiful!
I promise you this hotel will see me MANY more times in the future.
- pennyc131 (10/5): Raw lucky Gem - Staff was very friendly & helpful. The apartment is great in size & definitely worth the money. Some might think outdated but i think it reminds us of better fammily times. I think I had more charm than any high dollar hotel. We will definitely be back!
