• Ashley (5/5): Don’t waste your money - Location It was very outdated and smelled musty; needing a deep cleaning desperately..The decor looked like it was salvaged from a local thrift store 25years ago! I get the wholesome old island vibe but for $450 for 1 night really not acceptable

Also, based on the pictures of the pool, I thought the separated area was a hot tub. However, come to find it was not. This was my mistake as the writeup did not say there was a hot tub, but it would be nice if this was made clear since it looks like there is one.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable! The staff were amazing and attentive anytime you need them! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious! All beds were very comfortable and honestly you can’t beat the price! I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a great time in Edgartown!

You really can’t be sure what you are getting. - Excellent location very close to downtown Edgartown and an easy walk to the beach. Each unit is individually owned and varies in terms of decor and how updated it is. We stayed there a few years ago and had an updated unit. The one we stayed in this time was very old and musty. I would expect consistent quality for the amount of money we paid. We were also disappointed that the receptionist would not let us leave our luggage in the office. We had to leave it in a shed outside that was unattended.

Check in isn’t until late afternoon (3 or 4pm) and the only option is to drop your stuff in an outdoor shed with no lock, cameras, or staff monitoring. Really should have a clean, secure location to store belongings.

My husband loved that there was a recliner chair in the living room. There was enough space for 5 people. I would request a top floor stay. I like a lower level mainly bc we usually travel with too many bags! The next time I will stay on the second floor and bring less!

Every hour, the church bells ring, one ring for the hour, i.e. at midnight, it rings 12 times. So we woke up several times each night.
• Caroline (10/5): 10 stars! Amazing, friendly, clean and welcoming - We couldn't have been more pleased with the service provided. On our arrival the manager noticed we had quite a bit of luggage and changed our booking to a floor level cabin so we didn't have to drag our luggage up any stairs. The cabin was beautiful!, clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The staff were lovely and friendly, they went out of their way to greet you and to speak to you. This was our first time on the island and we will definitely be booking Edgartown commons on our next visit. I would give 10 stars if I could.

• Irina (7/5): The place is pleasant and with great location. - I liked the location. It was close to all the shops and restaurants. Very convenient. The stove in the apartment was not leveled. Trying to make a meal for the family was challenging since it was tilted and you couldn’t cook anything in the frying pan evenly. The only laundry on site was unreasonably expensive and only worked with quarters. We had hard time obtaining more than $12 in quarters for each load.
• Vanessa (5/5): Better price than other spots in the area, but you get what you pay for... - The location was great, and the cost was much lower than all the other options in that area. It was a spacious room, as well. The room we stayed in smelled like a basement. The closet in the room was overwhelmingly dank and nothing could be hung in there. Upon returning home, even the clothes kept in the suitcases smelled like the room. I will say that our family had a room next door without carpeting, and it did not have that smell. The carpets were also dirty and turned our feet black on the first day in the room. The room we stayed in could use an upgrade! The hot water also went out right at the time we were rushing to get ready for a nice dinner reservation which was also a frustrating part of the stay. Finally, we were told that the group ahead of us left with all but one key to the room and that they would give us the other keys once they were returned-- although that never happened, so we shared one key for the length of our stay.

• Strycharz (9/5): Superb - The property was conveniently located and very pleasant. Nothing. I was very content and would stay here again.
• Jen (7/5): Decent accommodation in Edgartown - Plenty of space! It was clean, had a full kitchen, and is in a very nice location in Edgartown. It was easy to walk to restaurants and shops while still being on a peaceful street. There are laundry facilities and a clean pool. Staff was friendly. We liked the decor. Our shower did not have shampoo. I think they accidentally gave us two conditioners instead. The unit was clearly recently renovated, but the updates seem rushed or not well done. For example: The bathroom counter height was too tall for the bowl-style sink. The shower faucet for the hot and cold water was switched. The blinds on the front door and window have gaps, so do not provide great privacy at night. The walls are a little thin. We could hear the people above us walking around and we could hear an infant next door crying in the morning. The room was too expensive for the quality, but there are not many other options around.

• Jodi (9/5): The perfect location for a stay in Edgartown. Walking distance to town. - The proximity to downtown Edgartown was perfect. The hourly ringing of the church’s bells could be heard from the bedroom.

Queen bed VERY saggy but real issue was poor air quality which makes everything smell musty and both of us had unrelenting miserable coughing. We are wondering if mold is in crawlspace. Can’t open window as pollen and exhaust from super close street blows in. Was told we could have asked for air purifier (and how would we have known to do that) so if that is of good quality that will make a nice difference. It’s a close walk to town and bus station which is good just be careful on the actual block as there are no sidewalks.

• Melissa (8/5): Great place, would probably stay again but not much space! - the apartment was very clean, Very nice property manager, The area was quiet, The location was close to shopping and food, etc. Not enough lighting around the building, especially near the stairs to the apartment, The stairs are painted And it was raining quite a bit. The steps were very slippery., The apartment was beautiful, but rather small for my liking, There was no full length mirror, And the shower was so tiny that I literally could not even shave my legs Because there was nowhere to bend over or put my leg up on anything.

Having the beach chairs and pools, late checkout and parking  I would say the interactions with one of front office staff, or the property manager on site. Because this was our first time coming to this location, we made two calls to ask questions or get more details and it just appeared that asking any questions to talk to a live human being, disrupted their day, it didn’t make you feel very welcoming and one day I went to the front office to ask about the towel process and how do you get new towels and where exactly do you place the laundry bag for the service to pick it up. Each time I asked questions I felt insulted and as if I was bothering her to ask clarifying questions so that I could understand the process of where to place trash or have towels picked up or just basic things. I needed to know. This was the only reason i asked I need a little more clarity. But, we were apprehensive about coming and staying at the property or even calling with questions especially when ( J) she kept referencing me to the website. However After we spoke that day she did apologize because my response was I recognize your voice meaning everyone else was accommodating over the phone or in person, For example Katie was welcoming and responsive. But with the initial interactions made me question where we were we going, especially when I called to get more information before arriving, I think it’s important that you understand regardless of the information that is on the website there are times when guest will have questions and it’s OK to answer them pleasantly would be my suggestion. Especially, when you say it’s your firt time Additional comments are flags there is also a light that is out on the path directly in front of the 21 unit. I pointed it out to the ground staff as well as housekeeping, but no one change the lights or checked on the fixture. It is extremely dark walking to the condo so we had to make every effort to keep the outside light on to light our path.
